Café W is within Waterstones bookshop on Gower St. Whilst perusing possible purchases, we had a pot of tea for two (which was very generous - nice big pot) whilst the girls had what they described as "the best hot chocolate - ever!" (high praise indeed). Slice of very moist and delicious carrot cake to accompany it - all very pleasant and for a reasonable £12.00.

Loud music, dirty toilets and the drink I had was not worth the price.

We stayed here in room 304, a lovely smaller hotel in a very quiet location. The staff are very friendly and helpful, providing us with dental kits when asked and helping us to work the television immediately after asking for help. The room was very big with a lovely view out of the 3rd floor windows. The room was clean with the usual tea making facilities and bathroom toiletries you would expect. The room was well heated and heavy, thick curtains that closed well for a decent sleep. The bed was a super king size and was a little more firmer for my personal taste but a comfy night nevertheless. The breakfast was continental and plenty of it although we wasn't given the option for a full English breakfast other guests were but we had already eaten, so be sure to ask if you would like to add on a full English breakfast. Although the lift was out of use during our stay, the concierge was on hand to take luggage up to your rooms. The 3 flights of stairs were ok for myself and my husband but may pose a challenge for some guests, especially as the final flight of stairs are steep, spiralling, and with no hand rail. Overall a pleasant stay, and I would definitely return, especially as its location is about a 20-minute walk from Euston and about a 15-minute walk from the Aldwych Theatre.

Bed very comfortable and room has all necessary amenities for a short stay, however having a bedroom window that looks into the conference room (image) is not ideal and the breakfast was mediocre with what I assume was fake scrambled egg.

A wonderful dining experience at the Great Court Restaurant (Benugo), inside the British Museum I had a fantastic meal here! I ordered the salmon with orzo pasta in a lobster sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside—and the orzo was rich and creamy, with a beautifully balanced seafood flavour. For dessert, I chose the rhubarb meringue tart, and it was outstanding. The texture was spot on—light and airy meringue, a crisp tart base, and the rhubarb added just the right touch of sharpness to balance the sweetness. The service was quick, and the waiters were very kind and attentive, which really made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The presentation was elegant, and the setting inside the museum made it all the more special. Highly recommended for a refined lunch or a sweet break during your museum visit!
