I held my sons 9th birthday party at The Lobby, and it was amazing. The kids loved it, and my son said it was by far the best birthday party he has ever had. All the kids loved it. The lovely couple there were so nice and helpful. They provided plates, cups , and drinks for the kids (and the parents)! We felt so welcomed and looked after. Please book this place for your child's next gaming party, you will not be disappointed!

First time being there and found the manager quit rude.

What a brilliant cafe this is !! Wow! There’s a variety of tables and chairs plus also some comfortable lounge type. It’s almost like a coffee shop on a TV or film, it really is a cool place. A very warm and efficient welcome awaited us at the counter. The coffees were delivered to our table and it just has a really friendly and accommodating atmosphere. The quality of the coffee was excellent and was very reasonable in price. There’s even a second hand books shelf which you can buy some reading material. We don’t live in this area, and this was just a one off visit. However - I do wish they were situated in our home village as it would definitely be my regularly cafe. Brilliant !

We've just had my son's 12th birthday at the Lobby and he said it was the best party he's ever had! It was completely relaxed with a great atmosphere for the kids. So much for them to play and do. The DJ decks were a firm favourite!! Lee was super friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. A little gem of a place, we never knew about. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you so much!

We've just held my sons 10th birthday party here. Wow!! The children had the best party ever and the adults were able to totally relax. Cafe Unity couldn't have been more accommodating. Would 100% recommend (plus the lemon drizzle cake was outstanding)!

went there earlier this day and was WOWED by the whole establishment, the service given to me by that young gentleman lee bridgeman was astonishing!! 10/10 would come back (give that boy a RAISE)

Even though they don't sell food per say we found it to be a lovely little cafe and very welled mannered staff.

This is a very warm cafe supporting the community. I felt comfortable around the knitting decorations, drawings and dog photos. I felt welcomed from the host too. Cheers.

Absolutely disgusting the way iv just been treated I understand that work cloths on but to be told that they don't do breakfasts with an attitude is unacceptable (might of just wanted some toast and a brew ) I definitely won't be recommending this cafe to any of the lads on site. Local business that doesn't accept local worker just not on

Had nearly 2 hours to spare in between trains so went looking for a coffee shop... found this place on the high street which happened to have a table free. Service was excellent and friendly, had some food and plenty of good coffee & tea in the 2 hours I was there. They take COVID hygiene and guidelines very seriously, making sure everything is clean before you can sit down and ensuring the social distancing. You can tell they have a very loyal regular customer base and not hard to see why, staff were so attentive and friendly even though it was the last day they could be open before the month-long lockdown. Not expecting to be back in the area but if I was I would definitely visit again!

Very nice cakes and a good selection of hot and cold drinks. Most of the staff are lovely and helpful, but there is one particular lady who... isn't. Some re-training needs to be conducted with her!

Award winning, bright and cheerful community cafe staffed by local volunteers. Inexpensive and welcoming with a good selection of homemade cakes and quality beverages. Lots of local information, facilities and a small children's play area. Popular with many local people giving a buzzy atmosphere. Parking at the rear.

Absolutely wonderful hidden gem of a place. Warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Prices were very competitive and the food was well cooked. Definitely a must if you're in the area.

Lunch for 2, soup and a roll, two cakes and tea and coffee just pennies over£10 bargain.

Came with the family for the monthly Craft Club. Had a couple of lovely pots of tea and a delicious Eccles Cake 😋 To top it off picked up what appeared to be a brand new paperback for 25p. Great community café, lovely staff and relaxing atmosphere.

Popped in for a drink when I had some time to kill. Lady behind the counter was lovely and the hot chocolate was really nice

The food is very simple and basic but staff were friendly and it was just a very cosy and comfortable place to get a hot drink and some snack. The price was very affordable too. The best thing was the children’s play corner. The children LOVED the toys there which meant my husband and I actually got to enjoy our food and chat.

I have been on my own and I have been with others and the wonderful thing is, you always get such a warm welcome from Sarah, her volunteers and other people who frequent Cafe Unity. It truly has a relaxed atmosphere and in such an easy way, people connect with one another and that happens so seldom these days. If I am ever within easy reach of the cafe, I go there to enjoy some food and drink to recharge my battery and restore my faith in people! Thank you Sarah and your volunteers.

This cafe is a wonderful community Cafe. It's a great place to meet people as everyone chats to everyone . Staff very friendly , Sarah who runs it is absolutely lovely . It is a community cafe in the truest sense . Coffee is good and the cakes all home made .

This is a very friendly and welcoming community cafe staffed mainly by volunteers. Sarah the manager is very friendly. Although they don't serve meals you can take your own providing you buy a drink, and they have free wifi. You can get toasted tea cakes, crumpets etc.They have good cakes at a very reasonable cost. It has a good ambience and has a small play area for children. Great for the community and a place you could happily visit alone and feel very welcome.

My self and my family are made to feel so very welcome , we all pile in and have my very own latte and cakes and the kids love the children's corner Sarah is alway so friendly what ever day u go in thank you Sarah and all the staff for spending time to get to know us all especially Leah and mad Isaac

Best cafe in the area bar none. Ambience is brilliant and the volunteers are great. Go 2-3 times per week with granddaughter and she loves the tea cakes!

Best little cafe around. Great for hot drinks and has a lovely range of cakes at a cheap price. They let you take your own food to eat as long as you buy a drink. They offer advice and honour ofvtheircwaybto help customers all with a smile. They don't do food other than toast but as previously mentioned they let you bring in your own.

I am a regular in café unity. Although they do not serve food (other than toast, teacakes, cakes and crumpets) I regularly buy a cooked breakfast or sandwich from the village butcher or baker and take it in to the café to eat. As a community cafe you can take your own food in to the café as long as you buy your drinks there, you won't be told off! A lovely welcoming place that is the hub of the community!

this is a beautiful little cafe and the coffee is so so good , you can take your own food in as long as you buy a drink in there !!!!!!!! It's good for meeting up for chat with friends and you can use there wifi they sell cakes , some have been made by locals , it's all to do with the community please go in and try it , you will go back for another coffee !!!!! ☕️

This is a 'community café, originally set up as a community venture by local churches . When they pulled out, it was taken over by the local ratepayers' group and is staffed mainly by volunteers. It offers teas, coffees, cakes - you are welcome t take your own sandwiches as long as you buy your drinks there. It offers good value for money and a good place for locals to meet and have a chance. It is increasingly becoming a 'hub' for the locality and there is a meeting space on the first floor that can be hired for activities, meeting sand so on. Every urban village should have one!
