We ALL had the excellent Salt Beef, and enjoyed ourselves together like old times. Everything was as we remembered it.

Visited June 1st - hottest day so far this year. Arrived 11.30 really just for liquid refreshment. If you are a cup of tea person this is the place to stop. Large-leafed tea served in glass jug, enough for two cups, delicious! Numerous fresh juices on offer - the beetroot, ginger, apple one was very tasty.The staff we so helpful we were made comfortable in half-shade outside. Then the owner/manager brought an extra sun umbrella when he realised all of us wanted the shade.The food menu is extensive. We ordered BLTs, an Eggs Florentine and toast with butter and preserve. (I also saw two fish meals on the Specials Board - both reasonably priced.) There is a great choice of breads. The BLTs and Eggs were top quality. They served a great side salad with the BLTs and Eggs.I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and only wish we lived nearer so we could visit often.Many thanks to the welcoming staff.

No he escrito una crítica negativa en años, pero no puedo aguantar la terrible experiencia que tuve en Tolouse. Pedí el Shakshuka y me trajeron un tazón de tomate con 2 huevos fritos encima. ¡Cualquiera que sepa qué es el Shakshuka se horrorizará! ¡Es como pedir huevos escalfados y recibirlos revueltos y luego que te digan cuál es la diferencia! Lo devolvimos y les dijimos que no queríamos otro 3 veces, pero finalmente nos trajeron otro. Pensé que era un tipo de ellos, ¡pero tuvieron el descaro de agregarlo a la cuenta! Estaba demasiado avergonzado para consultarlo, pero no puedo olvidarlo, por lo que estoy escribiendo esta reseña. También pedimos un lado de halloumi para acompañar la comida que llegó cerca del final de la comida, y un café para llevar que llegó en un vaso adecuado en su lugar con un comentario grosero del gerente. Great place for breakfast or lunch. Very friendly. Staff. Worth a visit if in the area. Situated in Hampstead Suburb. Mainly used by locals.

One wouldn’t know about it unless a local but out of the way little gem. Very busy place but good staff with well presented slightly unusual menu; extremely tasty food and calming green environs. Good coffee.

My second time vist, however this vist O tried their Full English and my partnerhad a Full Veggie. I have to say 5* Service, and the food was par excellence. I recommend this place to anyone.

Toulouse es el nombre francés de esta cafetería para atraer a personas con música árabe / turca en el interior sin conexión con el gran ambiente francés que esperaba. Excelente ubicación con vista al parque es la única ventaja de este lugar. He experimentado un servicio al cliente deficiente sin atención al cliente. Fui a tomar un café, me dieron un menú y en 20 minutos nadie prestó atención a que no nos sirvieran, así que entré y pedí 2 cafés para llevar. Además, no quiero hacer comentarios sobre algunos miembros del personal de Europa del Este. . . Hay muchos lugares mejores y más baratos donde obtener un buen café y servicio al cliente, como la panadería de la esquina judía, y puedes disfrutar de tu desayuno en el parque :)

I have never been rushed out of a restaurant like this before, to actually ask customers “how much longer are you going to be” Atrocious manners! The food was ok, coffee was cold and tasteless. I will not return.

Made an special birthday party which was organised by Matt and Benny. I have no words to express how wonderful they made my day. Matt was so friendly and capable and took control of all stressful elements or arranging a party. The food was magnificent, a wonderful buffet laid out in an attractive manner with the highest quality roast beef, fish and Otto Lenghi style salads. Desserts were equally impressive and service exceptional. All my guests had a fabulous lunch and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Beef melted in the mouth as it was the highest quality. Thank you all of you who were so friendly, attentive and helpful.

This is an institution and rightly so. Always consistent well cooked food from a great choice menu, buzzy atmosphere and delightful staff. Sit outside and enjoy the great coffee and take in the atmosphere of friends, families and dogs- it’s dog friendly outside AND inside too!

The food took an hour, got the order all wrong. We waited nearly 50 minutes for an orange juice. Overall very bad experience and the staff were rude, not remorseful and genuinely didn't know what they were doing .

A handful of immediate family and I originally planned and booked another place to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday today. At the last minute we changed our minds and came to one of her favourite local eateries. I myself have not been to Cafe Toulous for many years. I have very fond memories of dining here and hoped to enjoy it as much as I have in the past.

Poor quality food although people like in when sunny as one can sit outside. Not good coffee 0 not good anything

Terrible food that anyone can make using a pan, cooker and basic common sense. Below average dishes at above Mayfair prices, quality is not a consideration here. Hopefully they will do something about their food. What can I say good about this place...their cutlery was clean.

Of course the locals know that this used to be the site of public toilets which gave the cafe its name.Good for breakfast, brunch, lunch etc the extensive menu hits the spot and its often crowded with local yummy mummy's.With outside seating for the summer and smokers we have never had anything but a good meal here.Parking though can be problematical but a good walk should give you an appetite.

I've been here on 2 separate occasions recently - lunch and brunch - whilst busy and quiet. Service is always good, the food menu is extensive and what we've eaten has always been lovely, and the food others on nearby tables has always looked good too. the shared meze was delicious and my hubby enjoyed the salt beef sandwich. Good coffee too. And they are open in the evenings now as well

Earlier this week went for lunch. Partner's baked potato not very tasty she said. I had penne with tomato sauce. Quite a large portion. But I didn't want to finish it. The sauce was sparse, which turned out to be a blessing, as to my palate it was completely, I mean completely, tasteless. Such a disappointment. Perhaps I've been spoilt by authentic Italian cooking for years. My white coffee was OK. But it couldn't make up for the tasteless main course. Not too hard to make a tasty sauce. E.G. Tomatoes, basil, some onions, salt and pepper to taste, perhaps a little light soya sauce, even if desperate a teaspoon of tomato puree. Or use Sacla tomato and basil sauce. But this was just tasteless - and not a whole tomato in sight. It had certainly no discernible connection with Napoli, that's for sure. No no no.

Had family lunch with my cousins who had a little baby, the staff were just superb and accommodating. The food was good and very reasonable. It's a young family place during a weekend lunchtime and it is quite loud and busy but that is what gives it such a great atmosphere.

Tried for a light supper and was impressed. Ambience was lacking because there were few customers - probably a combination of concern about weather on the turn and it not being widely known that the place is open in the evening.We had the potato and leek soup plus a duck salad for starters. The duck salad was billed as being crispy duck and one feared it having been deep fried - actually it tasted more like roast duck and this was much nicer.For "main" courses we had a jacket potato with cottage cheese, baked beans and a salad and also a cheese and tomato sandwich. The former was simple and very good but latter was simple and excellent.Service was pleasant

No where better when the sun shines , sit outside , bottle of rose, dips , French fries , tuna nicoise, large generous portions, great staff, lots of local colour to entertain, great strong coffee , excellent toasties and my partner says one of the best spag bolognaise. This is a cute local cafe with a perfect outdoor seating area in a beautiful park. The menu is nice and Benny the waiter makes the place. However, over time, they have bumped up the prices and shrunk the portions (they feel really stingy nowadays) so I tend to go there only for coffee rather than food. Have heard similar opinions from other locals.

I went there with some friends and I ordered an Americano. I'm no coffee expert but it wasn't the best coffee I've had - it was fairly standard. My friend ordered a tropical smoothie and she said it was too watery, indeed, you could see where the blended fruits and water separated. My other friend ordered a chocolate brownie and apparently it tasted good, but honestly, anything made of chocolate can't taste too bad right?

After a walk on Hampstead Heath we struggled to find a spot for a café - with Kenwood Café full and Spaniards Inn only open from lunch time. We drove a few mins or if you are on foot you could walk down Bishops Avenue or via Heath Extension to Hampstead Garden Surburb to Toulous for café. The restaurants used to be a public toilet and now a lovely French bistro catering. For mid morning, the inside tables were already full, so we settled on a table outside in lovely sunshine. We ordered 2 cafes, pain au raisin and almond croissant. Both of the pastries were larger than usual and very tasty. Service was relaxed and we happily stayed and chatted at the table for 1+ hour. The cost of was just under £9.00. Not cheap but inline with the coffee chains. I would definitely recommend this café for a stop off. There is also an interesting full menu for lunch and dinner that should be considered too.

Beautifully positioned near a park though tricky car parking this restaurant was raved over by my family. However, personally I was slightly disappointed at the limited and predictable vegetarian options. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially with a wheelchair bound guest. A little pricey for what I had though my family were impressed. So a mixed review to try and see for yourself.

Stumbled on this by chance, and what a treat! We had one seafood ravioli, and one roast veg and goats cheese wrap, and shared. both absolutely excellent. And the service was fantastic. I wish I thought I'd ever be in the area gain.

Brilliant little place for brunch, lunch and breaky. They do a fantastic South African breakfast. The staff are brilliant aswell. Really brilliant little place.

Lovely little cafe brasserie. I was there for a business meeting but I felt very relaxed. Delicious and varied menu and not too expensive. I had the salmon and lobster salad. Well worth it and delicious. Summer dining is a must - make sure you book in advance for that outside table where you can watch the whose who of Hampstead Heath Gardens walking past! Service was excellent.

Relaxed cafe-style overlooking Northway gardens. Big variety of delicious freshly made food - can recommend wraps - we had ceaser wrap and boerewors sausage wrap which we thought was outstanding. (Boerewors = South African sausage). Good value and great service too!

Friendly staff, kind owner, very good value for money. Simple but genuine food. Cafe Toulous is in leafy Hampstead Garden Suburb, surrounded by green fields and urban woods. The venue's proximity to a very nice playground makes it a very attractive proposition for families living nearby.

Dropped in recently with a couple of friends. The sun was out and each of us ordered double scoop ice creams. Each flavour had no flavour and the ice cream contained ice flakes (sitting too long in the freezer going from cold to warm and back again). So disappointing. Used to visit a lot when my daughter was young. Wouldn't go again.

So what is the winning formula of Cafe Toulous? How come this place is so popular with local families? Is it the extensive menu of freshly prepared dishes? Might it be the generous portions? the amazing salads or the very naughty but nice desserts, or is it the welcoming atmosphere, the comfortable seating inside, the large outdoor area, friendly and furiously efficient service - lump all this together and all at a reasonable price - it is hardly surprising Cafe Toulous is a hit for everyone. unless of course, you are looking for a peaceful place to meet for coffee - avoid weekends!

Nice food, nice staff, not overpriced for this part of London.So why only average? Well, the noise inside is pretty unbearable (less of a buzz, more like a pneumatic drill) with so many screaming kids and the noise bouncing off the hard surfaces. Also, the tables are so close together it is hard to move (I really didn't like having the waitress and waiter thrusting their backsides into my face as they squeezed past my table). Sorry, but there it is.

Open all day and evening.. Lots of outdoor space with sun or shade as you prefer. It can seem empty but inside (which is large) can be absolutely full. They are also popular with parties in evenings by arrangement. A good range of reasonably priced conventional food from sandwiches to meals. A very popular place with many locals.who expect good quality food and decent service. Opposite also is the excellent Sherrards bakery cafe which is in the shade and has cakes and sandwiches.

It does get very busy here , especially with the locals , but despite being so near to the road its a great place for brunch . Sit under a brolly , read the paper and have smoked salmon , toasted bagel , Israeli salad and brilliant cappuccino , what could be nicer , you can pretend that you are on holiday , even though you just live around the corner.

Lovely little cafe, close to A1, but with a pretty park as backdrop. Terrific breakfast menu and outside seating where you can enjoy a sunny morning coffee, as well as an attractive inside space when the weather's not so good.

We went to Cafe Toulouse this morning to have our brunch in lovely Hampstead Garden Suburb. We finished our meal, I went to the counter when the waiter made a loud comment about me as a lady paying the bill in an arrogant manner and a lough. This left us both very(!) disappointed with my boyfriend. You just do not make such a comment in today's equal world, especially not with your customer! We returned to make a complaint. The Owner, who kept saying they had been there for 20 years & everyone else loved them(?), refused to make any compensation let it be my money or my tip at least, ensured us the waiter had been "joking", and offered a discount(?) for next time. We will NEVER go back there!

Visited for the first time, though have known of for a long time as a pleasant, local cafe meeting spot for elevenses, lunch or tea.Sat outside on warm, sunny day and ordered some wine as a prelude to a meal consisting of a falafel wrap, a salt beef (with pickled cucumber, slaw and a side of fries) and then chocolate ice cream, a cake and some coffees. The food was better than alright and there were plenty of menu choices. Service was very good, friendly and fairly attentive. The ambience was good, but being such a nice day helped.The prices are fair so all in all a rating of Very Good is justified.

A nice bistro style cafe with easy parking nearby and a good menu fairly priced. The outside space is quite a sun trap and you can sit out and eat even on quite cold days if the sun is shining. Wonderful cakes (especially carrot) and light meals.

Still haven't received the two 1.5L of soda that I paid for, the guy trying to rectify the error said they don't sell those sizes (I have a receipt that says differently). All in all, I should have just made my own damn food.

Took a while to deliver and the burger was luke warm, also it would be better if they make the delivery limit £15 otherwise I can´t order everyday.
