I’m obviously in the minority here thinking that since this place reopened, the prices have increased alarmingly and the quality & portion size has become miserable. I’m still retching from a £14.00 ‘chicken tikka masala’ that hadn’t been introduced to the meaning of tikka but was just a sad little chicken breast in a soup of tomato ketchup and about a kilo of desiccated coconut, it was inedible. The returned offering wasn’t much better but at least didn’t taste like a Bounty in ketchup. I thought all of our food was bland and disappointing and a premium is added for the BYO concept, albeit still cheaper than a wine list. A typical example of how London restaurants are now overcharging for poor food and a sad ending to happy years of coming here. Next.

My friend and I came in for an early dinner and we were not disappointed! I had heard that Indian food in London was a must-try so we set out to try one and this is the place. Aisha took such great care of us throughout our meal and was attentive and made great suggestions. We had the garlic naan (we ordered more!), butter chicken, chicken biryani, and the king prawn poori. It was all AMAZING!

Quite possibly the best Indian in Clerkenwell (The Tamil Crown comes close though!). We had a fantastic night here. Super welcoming team, cozy vibe, recently redecorated. BYOB with complimentary corkage which is a nice touch.

Some of the best curries in London hands down. We have a curry club who have met once a month for years and we have to say this is definitely up there. The chefs special and the lamb gosht was incredible. We are definitely coming back here again. The naan is so soft, light and fresh. Staff are so nice and helpful.

Excellent service provided by Aisha and the Boss. From the moment we walked in, Aisha greeted us with a warm smile and ensured we felt welcome throughout the evening. She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and always nearby without being intrusive.

Best indian food in London. Amazing service by Aisha and extremely friendly and welcoming front of house. Lamb chops are a must try. All the dishes I have tried were fantastic. Excellent!

I recently dined at Cafe tiffin, a cozy Indian restaurant, and was blown away by the vibrant flavors and authenticity of the dishes. It’s back! First night reopen and the new interior is really well done. Lovely new lights. Service v good, and despite being the first night after a long refurbishment the kitchen is on form: food as tasty as it ever was. So happy they’re back. No alcohol served so the focus is on the food. (BYOB).

Portions are small but flavor is good, pls try the Falooda as it's the best I've had in London so far

I have used Cafe Tiffin a very long time ago and I remember it was really good food . So I ordered today and the food was excellent , delivered slightly ahead of time and I will definitely order from them again and highly recommend their food to others .

Quality of food was very poor. Very unprofessional presentation and cold food.

Not impressed with the vindaloo. Chicken had a nasty taste and the sauce was swimming in oil. I don’t mind a bit of oil but this was way too much. Cafe tiffin is either amazing or very poor quality. Disappointed again, as a regular customer I’m not sure I’ll be coming back ☹️

This is one of my favourite curry houses in london. The paneer biryani was so good. I think about it at least weekly. My friends love the chicken curries as well.

Very friendly in-house and their deliveries are quick and friendly too. Just had a really nice lamb dansak and tandoori roti that hit the spot. If you are eating in, take alcoholic drinks with you (there is a shop nearby if you forget!)

We recently dined at Cafe Tiffin and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the variety of flavors catered perfectly to both kids and adults. We particularly enjoyed the spicy Chicken Jalfrezi, which was bursting with rich, fiery flavors. The Butter Chicken was another standout, with its creamy, mild sauce that was comforting and delicious. The Vegetable Biryani was fragrant and flavorful, providing a perfect balance as our vegetarian option. The naans, especially the Cheese Naan, were fresh and paired excellently with all our dishes (as well as being a hit with the kids). Overall, the meal was a fantastic blend of spicy and mild dishes, ensuring everyone found something they loved. The service was friendly and efficient, making our dining experience even better. We will definitely be back!

The food was very horrible. Both the biryanis hardly has chicken or paneer. And the taste was below average, felt like i just ate rice. The naan hardly had any cheese, very disappointing food . Also, no cutlery was provided, we ordered it in a hotel and had no spoons to eat it the food. Totally waste of money,wish i would not have ordered it.

Absolutely delicious!! Quality, fresh, and flavorful!! Cozy and lovely atmosphere. The service was lovely and everyone was so kind. I cannot wait to come back and try more! If we lived closer, would make this a regular spot.

Our daughter’s recommendation as her fave Indian results and it did not disappoint. Great food, friendly and helpful service, and a laid back atmosphere. The spicy mango chutney is great and the way the onions are caramelised. is fabulous. Just remember to BYOB.

Wow!!! What a fantastic find…and likely the best (friendliest) service I’ve ever had in London! This place was recommended to me by a fellow traveler and it was one of the best, most authentic Indian restos I’ve eaten at. They have great Indian resto “standards” - tikka masala and butter chicken, etc, but where they really shine are the chef’s regular and daily specials. And the naan - pillowy soft and tasty. The pompodums were some of the best I’ve had as well. The village style bindi was absolutely beautiful, as was the chef’s special creation - Niramish - wonderful vegetables and spices. My favorite however was the chicken methi - incredible flavor. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m through London!

Really first class meal. The Mumbai Chicken was packed full of flavour and chicken! I came quite early so the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, but I’m sure it will be (or certainly should be) later on. I was thinking about going to Brick Lane, but I’m so glad I didn’t as this was far far better than anything I have had there, and I have tried a lot! Can’t recommend highly enough, and great value too.
