Cafe Tejo in City of London, Westminster

De viaje en Londres, con un primo hermano de mi esposa y su mujer, tras buscar un sitio donde comer, localizamos un lugar, pequeño, sin excesivas pretensiones, quizá lo que en España conociamos como “una casa de comidas”, donde dar un bocado rápido, y entramos en el Café Tejo. Un restaurante familiar, donde nos atendió Lara, una agradable portuguesa, con cocina típicamente portuguesa a un precio más que asequible.

This is a lovely friendly cafe. Despite being small, the staff and other customers managed to accommodate 10 of us. Although they were serving lunches, they were quite happy for us to just order teas & coffees and pay individually. Perhaps not exactly a gourmet's delight but it was all good basic stuff, very cheap and the toilet was clean.

I regularly visit this part of London on a Saturday and have now paid three visits to this place. Excellent service and value, especially for this part of London. Highly recommended. Obrigado!

Excellent food and coffee very tasty and good quality talking about the prices I’m very surprised you can get a high quality coffee just for 1.40£ In the heart of London. Well done!!!

Visit this cafe in my lunch hour for a takeaway as now in lockdown. I promise that you will not be disappointed Lara is lovely and you can order whatever you want. So if you are in the area definitely worth a visit.
