Cafe Smile in Melton

We called in to Café Smile in Melton Mowbray on our way to Tesco on Wednesday, 13th December. My wife and I bothe chose the small English breakfast with extra mushrooms. Our meal was served by a charming member of staff, pipping hot. Impressive bacon and sausage ( not catering). Well done to all of the team.

The best scampi I've ever had, succulent and juicy and not overcooked. Loved the chips too. My friend had the tuna melt which she loved and I will highly recommend this cafe and will be going back again. Well done to all the staff.

First time in QD Cafe & very impressed 👍 Order was taken quickly & smoothly - Good start 😁 My Hot chocolate was passed to me at the point of order with my tray cutlery, napkins & condiments. Within a short period of time my food arrived - Have to say excellent 👍 Staff were friendly - place was clean & warm …… Will definitely be going back again 👍

Ordered egg and toast. Waited for ages. After about nearly an hour it finally came. The lady laughed and said the toast had burnt and they had do more. I said I loved burnt toast, but hey, at least I had got my breakfast. The toast was barely brown and the eggs were solid. I mean like rocks. Really disappointed. Especially as there was hardly anyone there and all the staff (3) were having a lovely time laughing and enjoying themselves behind the counter. Like I said, really disappointing.

Each Wednesday we have breakfast at Cafe Smile inside the QD store. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. The small breakfast consist of sausage , bacon egg , beans and hash brown, toast is optional. The small breakfast is less than £4.

If there are 3 people ahead of you in the queue, you will be waiting at least 15 mins or more. One server does not cope with even just coffees.

This cafe is located in a store where you can find wonderful bargains on a range of products. The cafe has lots of comfy seating. The staff give brilliant service. The menu is huge. They have daily specials, hot and cold, plus a regular menu of sandwiches, quiches, etc. Also, they offer a wonderful selection of cakes, and they do cream teas. I could not believe how much food I got for only £3.50. A sandwich stuffed with prawns, handcut thick chips, cole slaw and salad. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. I couldn't eat it all. If you are looking for a great value meal in a nice setting, you must visit Cafe Smile in QD Stores. If you are just coming to shop, you can park for two hours free - parking is plentiful - but if you eat there as well you can get 3 hours of parking for free so you don't need to rush.
