We live in Worcester and this is the first time we have been here. It will not be the last. The cafe has a calm, sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of space between the tables. The food was just delicious! I had a steak ciabatta with salad and my husband had the best chicken pesto linguine we have ever tasted. Lovely service from the staff too. Thank you for a beautiful lunch. Oh and great coffee and iced tea too.

This was the second trip to Cafe Piano on a Saturday. First trip the eggs Benedict arrived hard boiled egg and no hollindaise sauce. Food was cold and there was one egg. Ordered a cake because we were still hungry this was probably one of the worst cakes I've ever tasted. It wasn't busy. The coffee was okay. Just on the side of warm. Second visit to see if it was an off day.. very quiet again Saturday lunch time. My husband son and I ordered ciabatta sandwiches these said they came with a side salad. We all ordered different fillings, I ordered the steak Cajun with mushrooms. When mine arrived it came with a small bit of wilted lettuce and no other salad. All 3 the same. No crisps or chips this would have been £3 extra! I had already paid £36 for these plus 2 coffees and a milkshake which was just foam. I opened up my sandwich to which there was 3 pieces of gristle for steak and a few mushed up mushrooms. I tried a mouthful and instantly took it out of my mouth. I discreetly asked the waitress over who didn't say anything to me and ran off. I said it was disgusting and I wouldn't want it replaced. My son and husband just about got through theirs but it was uncomfortable to watch. The manger came over and said, what is wrong with it? I said, everything and she said, you just don't like it? I said no! It is completely inedible and she needed to look at what was being produced. She came over with the card machine and just refunded mine, which was around £8.50. I won't be going back, the service is shocking. It's not clean and they can't cook basic food. Later that day my son complained of having a stomach ache and wasn't well. Avoid!

We are regular visitors here but haven’t yet reviewed it. Lovely, underrated café on Friar Street, nicely decorated and with plenty of seating. Atmosphere is always very pleasant, with the occasional tune from the eponymous piano. We usually come after midday, just in time to tuck into the brilliant toasted ciabattas they have on offer, all very tasty - my personal recommendation would be the steak - and served with a salad and optional chips. The coffee is good and strong. The breakfast is also tasty if visiting in the morning. Dog friendly.

Arrived at 0900. Called for two breakfasts after an early start from Yorkshire. Full english was superb. Loved the sausage.. proper meaty, good quality bacon. Cooked nice. Garlic and Coriander mushrooms very tasty. Would definitely recommend this lovely cafe. Good service. Dog friendly… welcoming to animals, but tables spread well apart enough somas not to intrude on non dog loving customers either. Will most definitely make this a stop off for us on the way south in future.

Absolutely love Cafe Piano! We’ve stopped here for brunch, a couple of times now and can’t fault the service or the food. We were greeted really warmly with some water bought to the table without us asking. The coffee was fantastic, smooth and strong, and our brunch was delicious. We both had Avocado on granary toast with feta, olives and poached egg. It was light and fresh and a nice twist on the usual avocado on toast. The atmosphere is really chilled and there are lovely views on the to cobbled streets of The Shambles. Why go to a chain when you can support a local business, give Cafe Piano a go and you’ll love it!

Called in for a bite of lunch and found the cafe was almost full but managed to get a table . We chose to spilt a sandwich and a cake between us to help shift the excess Xmas pounds . So a salmon and cream cheese sandwich and a piece of carrot cake were ordered along with a coffee and soft drink . Cake soft drink and coffee arrived but had to chase them for the sandwich after noticing that people after us in the queue had been served, not great but it was nice when it arrived . Hopefully going forward the kitchen deal with orders in turn however small they are . Will try again when next in Worcester to see if it improves.

The full English breakfast was a decent effort, well presented and the staff were good too. We had cappuccino and English breakfast tea. I also had a milkshake as. Like to try them anywhere I go. This was ok but did not hit the spot. The only thing the let the whole experience down was serving, which I see as a huge disgrace by anyone’s standards, given a HP and Heinz bottle to find cheap and to be totally honest, inedible substitutes side. I thankfully had only put some on the side. My husband had unfortunately spread his across the breakfast. Now, as northerners, Geordies who have lived here for 12 years, and that my husband will usually go with most types of brown sauce (I won’t with tomato), he couldn’t eat all of his as the sauce was that bad. I don’t mind cheaper condiments when I know what I’m dealing with. To some this would be trivial, however, the sauces inside the bottles were inedible and should never be disguised in leading brand bottles. This, we both concluded let the experience down immensely and we won’t return.

I have been visiting this cafe for the last few months and was delighted to be served my usual flat white by a new girl who I can only assume has joined the business for the festive period. She was efficient and although we visited during a busy hour, was quick to accommodate me and my friends. It made a change from other corporate chains we have visited and we hope to see her and the rest of the lovely team when we visit in the new year!

The food and ambience is great. People who play the piano are very good. The staff lack leadership when it’s busy. There seemed to be no manager directing. I asked one of the staff a question and I never got a response. I would like to see more vegan options and definitely more healthy options

Nice environment and pleasant staff … ordered sandwiches and salad with drinks . When they came to the table mine had a long black hair in the salad. The waitress took it away and replaced it all quickly and efficiently. I was offered a complimentary coffee which was nice…. The facilities where tired and unclean which didn’t help the warm inviting cafe area. The food was very nice however and we enjoyed what we ate.

We have been here three times for breakfast. Let’s start with the positives. There is a lovely ambiance, plenty of space and friendly atmosphere. It’s clean, tidy and comfortable. The food is good quality and sensible sized portions. The main problem is, two out of three times, the food order has been incorrect, specifically things missing. Today was the worst, the eggs Benedict was missing the hollandaise sauce! When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they were apologetic and offered to bring some out. Unfortunately by this time my breakfast was going cold. When it arrived it was thin, watery and mainly vinegar! Definitely not hollandaise. I should have tried it first, but instead poured it on what was left of my breakfast. Yes you guessed it, it ruined what I had left. I hate complaining but when asked if everything was ok, I had to be honest, which made me feel uncomfortable. Their response, we’ll tell the chef. If we hadn’t already paid, I could have understood the mistakes if they had been busy, but we were the only ones in there ordering food. The other two customers were just drinking coffee. I would have refused to pay for the eggs Benedict . It would have been good service if they had offered some money back or a free coffee. With so many errors and this being the second time we are reluctant to go back.

I regularly pop into Cafe Piano for a drink or lunch after my Saturday morning chores. It has a very laid back vibe and unlike many cafes in Worcester is spacious. You feel like you can really relax and read the paper with a coffee or tea or enjoy lunch with friends without feeling on top of other diners. The staff are a delight. Warm, welcoming and very friendly. So to the food. I have had the vegetarian breakfast on several occasions and it has always been served with fresh produce, piping hot and very tasty. I occasional have a ciabatta - goat’s cheese or steak with fries and it is always served promptly, beautiful presented and fries, crisp to the taste. I have been here with friends and they have commented on the great food and ambience. But mostly I come here alone for a pot of herbal tea -one waitress is always prepared for my order of chamomile - and occasionally one of their divine cakes. Particularly enjoy the lemon cake and the chocolate orange - amazing. Cafe Piano is a fine addition to the independent cafe scene in Worcester.

Late lunch after visiting Greyfriars we both had the avocado and falafel ciabatta because that starts to happen when you've been together 41 years (feels like 300), the ciabattas were very good and portion of fries as well. Mrs C had Sprite and I had a Pellegrino (first time at age of sixty something!) which I really enjoyed. Nice cafe decent food and pleasant servers

Wonderful Sunday Lunch. We cannot remember when we have had such an excellent meal out. No ping ping bought in processed food here. Fresh vegetables, beef was to die for, enormous home cooked Yorkshire pudding. The dessert menu looked lovely but we all were too full. Definitely going to be our first restaurant of choice. Thank you to all of the staff, both front and back of house for a lovely meal.
