I enjoyed my visit very much. I was welcomed by someone with a dry sense of humour, and a glint in his eye - I guessed this might be the owner. The meal was full of subtle and delicious flavours, which I enjoyed greatly. It only bore a loose resemblance to the description on the menu, but when venturing somewhere new and different, these things need to be taken in ones stride. The atmosphere was pleasant and distinctive. Clearly a resource for the local community the dryly-humoured one was latterly more interested in chatting to local pals than asking if I wanted dessert, so I did not have time to try what I had in mind. Again, as a guest such things must be accepted as part of the ambience. One very good thing was that free food is offered to homeless people; I guessed this might be at an appointed time towards the end of the evening, from a conversation overheard with someone who had been outside the restaurant talking to passers-by.

I have heard of this cafe before and was told it’s very welcoming, so now I have ordered my veggie breakfast and sat down, after a couple of minutes two locals have come in and ordered their food (I knew they were locals because the chef asked if they wanted the same) following this waited for about 15 min or so and the locals food and drinks have come and not mine I have went to ask why and they said it’s ready soon. I only got some mushroom egg and tomatoes. It’s sad to see that they prioritise there reg customer then someone who is in for the first time.

Very strange people and place. Would never step foot again. I asked for some takeaway chips which I’ve had before, the girl gave me an odd look and said we don’t have chips … it’s on their menu!! She then got another girl to come who said the same thing. I said I could wait for them to be cooked but they didn’t seem to understand. Felt very unwelcome and they seemed rude! Will never bother again.

After a long day out at the footy and needing sustenance for the long journey home, this was the first place we spied coming out of the Tube. My knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine is limited but when I've sampled it, it's been very good. Yara in Alderley Edge is the obvious example around here. Delicious food. Anyway, we didn't have a clue so just asked the owner and he very patiently explained the dishes. We shared 2 plates and they were just what we needed, wholesome and tasty. I should mention the big, bitter lump I tried half way through the meal. Turned out it was a roasted lemon! Fascinated to read the dirty and a hangout for drug dealers review, the place can't be that dirty as it gets a 4/5 stars on the food standards agency website. Admittedly that's not ideal but some of the reviews on here are by people with an axe to grind. Reasonably priced too.

Today was my 8th visit and have taken 4 different friends to the cafe over the year. Today l just wanted the coffee and sandwich at 2.50 advertized in the cafe window. Before l had even sat down l was being asked what l wanted, and telling me l should have something else instead of sandwich which when l asked was much more expensive. After that l was ignored and the owner and pos wife sat down for lunch and even when l got up to the coffee counter they would not look at me. There was 1 other customer in the cafe and he could obviously under stand ther conversation and looked at me sadly and confused. Well what can l say but last time and l will tell my friends. Maybe they are planning to close and they just dont care or maybe they should get some training on hospitality. Shame on them.

I chanced a light lunch at Cafe Persia as I strolled about Golders Green. A typical basic, simple Iranian diner with a nice elderly lady skewing nice middle eastern dishes throughout the day. What's most warming is the homey hospitality of its proprietor who treats every customer as friends. With a little more lighting preferred, this eatery is reasonably priced, wifi free and is a treat for Iranian music lovers, especially live on Fridays.

I had passed this place on several occasions when staying in London on Business. I decided to go in one night to give it a try. I wish I hadn't. Avoid this place at all costs even if you haven't eaten in days. The food is old ( mondeh) and is pre-cooked and kept in an old fashioned display cabinet. I had Bagalipolo and chicken. It was the worst Iranian food I have ever had. But worst of all when paying the bill the owner is very unprofessional and trys to over charge. They dont produce a proper receipts either. They give a bad name to all Iranians.....This place is a disgrace and should not have Persian in its name.

Popper in here for a cup of tea after a gruelling Megabus journey and job interview on one of the hottest days of the year. The owner is extremely friendly, though he loses a point for only talking to my boyfriend (who admittedly is Persian, but hey, I'm a person too!). It sells a variety of light meals and Persian sweets and pastries. We decided to get some food whilst we were there and we had loubia pollo (which is green beans, rice and a little chicken) and ghormeh sabzi (stew with lots of herbs and red kidney beans). My boyfriend said it was exactly like how his mum used to cook and felt very nostalgic. My boyfriend was short of £1.40 to pay and we still owe the proprietor (sorry, we will come back soon and pay).

Just Eat, offered a lovely breakfast for 2 people on a sunny December day. So after having a look on the offer, I decided to get 2 chai latte, 2 Orange-juice and 2 English Breakfast for almost i believe hotel Price of £29,90. After waiting almost an hour the app showed ready for collection, when of course it should be delivered! So, I try to call the restaurant to clarify the situation and explain that I’m just out of the bed and want to surprise my girl. But he answers straight up- I ticked the collection button so it’s my fault! If I want it delivered I have to pay an additional £15 for delivery. So I asked kindly, how we make it work?? But the only way is pay £15 or pick up. So I started a lovely sunny weekend with a donation of £29,90 to the worst service provider of the year!👍

Erin dealt with a faulty payment system a couple of weeks ago - no payments were going through but she dispensed free coffee and took orders over the app to keep the customer base happy. But Erin is gone now. And in her place is sour faced Khwaja and his colleagues who wouldn't smile if you paid them to. When I went in with a complimentary drinks coupon on the Gails app they dispensed a small size without asking and when asked for a plate on a busy day was just given cutlery. When there was water spilt on the furniture by the previous customer was handed tissues to wipe it myself. The service sucks.

My friends and I went there for a drink, they had a number of tables and booths to sit in. We ordered our drinks via the app, and waited over 10-15 mins for it.. so I went to check at the main till, they were busy serving pints which is understandable but they didn’t acknowledge the order I made, it was just hanging off the printer. Eventually we were served our drinks after flagging it up. To add to the slow service, the pub stinks of cigarette smoke. It didn’t feel like it was coming from outside but from the vents. So not great for non smokers who just want a drink and chill.
