Cafe of Eden in Lancaster

Stayed in a hotel close to the Cafe of Eden. We visited the cafe every day for a lovely breakfast. Good selection for breakfast, including vegetarian option. Portion size was good, everything tasted like it was cooked fresh to order. Highly recommend. Their cakes are delicious too, with take away option. Friendly and inviting hospitality, place was spotlessly clean with views over Morecambe bay too!

Popped in on a wet and windy day as close to our accommodation for breakfast. We both had a full English breakfast and when it was first put in front of me I was underwhelmed but actually the quality was really good, tasty sausage and bacon and lovely butter on the toast.. Though I do think the bread could be a better quality! 2 negatives were the smell of cooking fat which was a turn off and stung my eyes... And it wasn't the warmest inside. Staff member was "functional" could do with a smile!

I visited for a mid-morning coffee and to decide whether to return later for lunch. The 2 members of staff were very pleasant - one was obviously being trained which wasn't a problem. My coffee was fine, nothing special, and the cafe itself looked fresh and inviting however I have never been a fan of cutlery being set out on the tables before customers arrive. I decided not to return for lunch because I couldn't decide if the cutlery had not been washed properly or if it was just water marks from not being dried. Sort that out and I would definitely return.

Nice, welcoming owner, dog friendly. Nicely decorated and excellent full breakfast. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.
