Cafe Morrisons Supermarket in Neath Port Talbot

This is going to be easy, it's a cut & paste of last year's review as nothing has changed:I called in for breakfast a few times recently and have eaten here on a few previous occasions, every single piece of 'clean' cutlery in the tray was caked in grease and chunks of dried food. The tables weren't clean at start of service and the floor was also grotty. This seems to be a Morrisons trademark as their Baglan store cafe is the same.Food OK but no star quality, a little over-priced and occasionally ruined.Staff are generally nice although there is one moody horror working here.My decision to eat here was informed by the optimum food hygiene rating of 5/5, this applies to the store in general and goodness knows how they manage to hang onto it with the cafeteria so grubby.

Just as good as any supermarket cafe you're likely to find anywhere. this isn't gourmet cooking but you'd need to be pretty naive to expect it. Coffee tea and other drinks all good, snacks up to scratch, bigger meals well within the bounds of acceptability.

Me and my husband came here for breakfast we ordered via order yourself point...went to get cup of coffee had to wait 15 minutes as queue and machine was playing up..gets to my turn and the machine was still playing up told the lady on the till who came to look at it with a bad attitude..took about 20 minutes to get a cuppa...then to top it off had to wait over half hour for breakfast..the same wo.en who I spoke to about the machine brought it over without even a sorry about the wait.. never had a or with Morrisons or the staff but this lady was just rude!

Had only time for a quick bite, so seemed the easiest place to go, fairly busy but did not have to wait long. Had scrambled eggs on toast, fairly good.

My friend and I fancied a jkt potato for lunch and decided to call into morrisons for a change. (We work local out and about) had an hour so needed it fast. Service was very fast and lovely staff. We had chilli jkt potato and it was really tasty , not to hot a mild kick. Price was good as well. And they give you a lot of salad. The only downside was the cutlery wasn't clean. We took a while looking for forks without food on. Maybe the dishwasher was broke. Only reason gave 4 instead of 5.

The staff are very friendly and every time I go there, are very willing to help. I have been on multiple occasion alone or with friends, it's great if you want to meet up with friends to chat, and if your alone, you can use their wifi. I find the food is nice and reasonably priced. If there were any issues just speak to staff and they will help.Overall I think it's great, however the staff do have alot to do with making food, taking food out ect, that they can't always keep tables clean, specially during rushes. So if you do go for food, help the staff out and put you dishes on the tray trolly thing so others can use your table.

Lovely staff, although sometimes they are really busy & stressed. Most times during my visit, food has been piping hot but on one or two occasions it’s been luke warm. However, great selection of food at decent prices.

Delicious meal here as always. Great value. Sometimes the tables haven’t been wiped over and you have to ask but that’s the only thing. Friendly staff and great variety of food. Ideal for feeding the children quickly after school and before activities.

What a mess called in for lunch plenty of staff behind counter every table was full of dirty crockery what a shambles should be ashamed of them self the staff in there

OK so the clue is in the title here. We came to Morrisons for a bit of shopping and decided to grab a bite to eat. The vast majority of tables were covered in dirty dishes and as the place was quite busy we struggled to find a clean table. We ordered our food at the till, the staff member who took our order appeared to be miserable with no pleases or thank yous. We ordered the fish and chips and it took approximately 45 minutes to arrive. There was no warning from the lady at the till that there would be a long wait for food, so when I asked after 45 minutes of waiting when we could expect our food, we were met with the response 'its on the way' and no apology. We asked another staff member if they could clear our table before our food arrived, this was met with a roll of the eyes look. When our food eventually arrived, it was nice and the fish was lovely however we won't bother eating here again.

Out shopping with my Mum we fancied a very quick bite to eat, so thought we would stop at Morrisons. The coffee machine is like a vending machine, however the quality of the coffee is better than Costa. I ordered a cooked breakfast and even though it took a long time to arrive, it was definately worth the wait, the sausages were amazing. Highly recommend it for a fry up.

Absolutely shocking, it was Halloween and I’m sure they’d asked the staff to play zombies, oh and I called for lunch, he opted for the all day breakfast brunch I had a toastie, despite there being lots of empty tables not one was clean, I went to ask for a cloth and the servers people skills were awful she just shouted to another worker clean a table and her reply was I will if I get a bl**dy minute leaving me feel incredibly awkward she then came slapped a soaking grey cloth around the table leaving it soaking I went to get some serviettes there were none asked the counter lady and she gave me one bit of kitchen roll! Food came sweaty cold chips with a very greasy toastie for me and oh same sweaty chips, undercooked slimy bacon, awful like warm sausage and solid poached eggs his toast was burnt to a crisp it was pretty farcical. Wanted to complain but due to the customer service we had received thus far decided to count our losses and pretty much left the food untouched passing another customer sending theirs back. Will not be returning that’s a sure thing.left Very disappointed and still starving.

We stopped here for a late lunch today ( 14/09/18 ) my partner had sausage, egg, chips and beans while I had salmon, new potatoes and peas. It came whilst I was getting another drink and I have to say I was shocked at the size of the portion of food they gave me. 5 tiny new potatoes, a small spoon of peas and the slimmest bit of salmon I’ve ever seen! This is to feed an adult? It looked more like a child’s portion and this is nearly £7.... I wont be eating there again I will go elsewhere and get a proper portion of food so I don’t have to come home and cook myself something because I’m still hungry. Disgraceful

We like Morrison's lamb shanks. We needed a quick early evening meal. Unfortunately service was a little slow despite there not being more than about 20% of the tables being occupied. However we made up time because they kindly brought the food in doggy bags at the last minute so we did not miss our appointment.

Used to be a lot better. Food quality has dropped. service slow. Reasonably priced. Ok for convenience, but better places close by to eat.

I have taken my son here twice,its free after 3pm for kids to eat as long as you buy an adult meal over 4.50,cant go wrong. He loves the cheese burger and chips,and nice size for him as well,not really small like some places. I had the bbq chicken last week,it was stunning,chicken just fell apart which it should be,lovely bbq sauce,chips and coleslaw,i was very happy and saved me cooking. I also had a drink with it ,total meal came to 6 quid,cant complain with that for 2 meals,at the end of the day its a cafe,you not going to get high end food,i cant see why people are slating it,its a nice place to eat,nice food and good offers,ok its not spanking clean sometimes but you only got ask them to wipe the tables,ive seen worse in kfc to be honest . Overall we enjoy it,especially my son who is very fussy. We will be going back,cant go wrong like say,but you always get some one who is never satisfied dont you!

Sometimes the breakfast here is beautiful and other times it's horrible. But the staff are lovely. Don't have a coffee it tastes like dishwasher. The tea is nice

Called here after school with grandchildren. Cheap and cheerful. Very busy. Lack of staff to clear tables. Floor not cleaned. Chaotic. Will not be visiting again.

Cheap breakfast.. cheap bread, cheap bacon. Poor coffee- like warm and tasteless. . the only decent thing was that the tea was hot.....

This store is situated in a very convenient location in Neath town centre.

Been here a few times for food nice choice of menu and cheap nice staff my personal choice is hunters chicken

I popped in for breakfast this morning, waited 3 minutes to be served whilst the cashier/waitress sorted out meals that she had given to the wrong customers, she then proceeded to collect the food and present it to the correct customers. I paid for my food at 10:00 am I received it at 10:17 am - quite a long wait for breakfast when bacon, mushrooms and sausages are pre-prepared.

Llame para una tortilla de queso, tostadas y café. Este es bastante bueno y a un precio razonable. El café es bueno. Los niños comen gratis después de 3 o 4:00 no estoy seguro del tiempo que no puede estar mal si buscas una rápida variedad a un precio razonable de comidas y tentempiés.

Fuimos con un amigo para tomar café y almuerzo. No muy largas colas y teteras o vasos. Finalmente dos tazas pusieron en el bastidor. Así elegido el té de manchas más limpio. No, así que tuve que poner teteras bolsita directamente a taza. 20 minutos de retraso por la comida tan sólo de hambre tanto tiempo como para el almuerzo. Las mesas estaban sucias y no liquidados. Este Café es una vergüenza y debería ser evitado. Hay muchos cafés limpio en neath así definitivamente no volveremos aquí.

Fuimos de compras y comimos allí porque queríamos un plato típico galés como un pastel de carne: fue muy agradable, fresco, rápido y preparado barato.

Pasó por este café para tomar café después de las compras. El café, el personal era fenomenal, pero debería ver el número de titulares en cada mesa de metal Cada uno de ellos está sucio y cubierto de manchas de salsa comida antigua. Por amor...

El servicio fue muy rápido, teniendo en cuenta cuántos clientes estaban allí. Las comidas fueron hígado y pedimos beicon, fue muy buena, comimos todos los desechos. Dos buenas comidas para 10 libras no puede estar mal.

Bandejas asquerosamente sucia para poner su comida en grandes vasos, entonces no hay zumo de naranja, cubiertos en la bandeja con la comida en ellos seguido de una cena domingo apenas tibia, mediocre. Venga en Morrison, lo puedes hacer mejor

Mi esposa y yo estuvimos en este hotel en diciembre de 2016 este fue un hotel excelente en todos los sentidos, la habitación estaba muy limpia y la cama era de tamaño king, con todas las comodidades que puede desear el personal era muy servicial y no podía hacer lo suficiente para que el restaurante estaba en el segundo piso, pero era caro, así fueron las bebidas £6. 25 por una coca-cola pero en & bicardie indicando este hecho, sin duda, parada allí

Very busy but food fresh and lovely staff really enjoyed our lunch outside in the sunshinr big portions too beware of pigeons outside my granddaughter dropped a chip and we were quickly surrounded

We often eat at Morrisons. Sometimes after shopping and sometimes just because its an all-round good deal. The menu is comprehensive and the food is consistently good for the price. ...Eaten scores of meals here and never had any issues!

Eating out in Wales can get expensive -- Morrisons, a chain found in many of the cities, is a good answer. We bought sandwiches and snacks to take on our day trips, and we also ate a very nice breakfast here for much less than it would have cost at our hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, clean restrooms, good prices. Highly recommended!

My wife and I tend to use Morrison's as we like their late afternoon meal deal of a free drink with any main meal over £4.50. Better value than any takeaway.We both had the Hunters chicken stack with a latte. The meal was a bit disappointing compared to meals at other Morrison's. The chicken was a bit dry, probably pre cooked and warmed through a bit too much. The café needed more than one person working there as the assistant was working the till, serving the meals when cooked, and clearing tables. At one point there were 8 tables waiting for their food. Our coffees were drunk well before our order arrived.

Decided to go to Morrisons after a bad experience in the Castle Hotel. I ordered full english and my wife had yogurt and fruit with granola. We had fruit juice and coffee all for under a tenner. The service was quick and the food cooked to perfection. Definately recommend.

Love to pop into the restuarant after I do my shopping and I must say I havent had a bad meal and I been a customer for several years.Its good value for money and staff very friendly and always keep the place clean.

Never thought I would ever review a supermarket cafe but the meal I had in Morrison was excellent. I only had to pay an extra £1 to get a sweet. It's convenient at the end of the day. Combine shopping with that lunch you don't have to make at home later. Bargain but good bargain.

Called in at lunchtime on a Friday with my sister from a catchup. Ended up having to pay separately for three different meals and the lady at the till so cheerful and helpful. The fish and chips and mushy peas was really lovely, the ultimate comfort food on a gloomy day. The soup came with a really generous roll and two butter portions all for £2. Recently upgraded cafe and really good cheerful atmosphere. Very pleasant, helpful staff and very quick service. This may become a regular haunt on a Friday.

Excellent re vamp it looks very inviting. The food is always good, it's clean and what's more it looks it. I often enjoy a lunchtime meal after doing the weekly shop.

We recently had breakfast here after our weekly shop. After debating to go else where we thought lets give it a try. Pleased to see the seating arrangement, much more spacious and welcoming. We both had egg Benedict and they were cooked to perfection. Didn't wait long even though it was busy and friendly service. Well done! No doubt we will be making a habit of having our Breakfast here.

My visit here was on a midweek shopping trip , the cafe was rather busy so l ordered some thing easy as I was pushed for time ,,fish and chips . My meal came within the expected time and I was surprised at the portion size,a nice large piece of fish and plenty of chips. The meal was plentiful and not expensive so I will return to this cafe in the near future and recommend it to others.

A great selection of food, I'd say something for everyone! The quality and portions are good, probably the reason that the place is always so busy. The recent restaurant refurbishment has been tastefully designed and I like the new modern look of the store. We eat here at least once a week and have never been disappointed.

This is one of the best supermarket cafes I have ever been in. The food is always great, the staff are friendly and helpful. They change the menu regularly and there is always something for vegetarians and for me that is very important.

Stopped for a lunch break of sandwiches and a latte. Served at checkout by a delightful friendly lady and was surprised to find a packet of crisps on my tray which she explained were complimentary with my sandwiches. A very nice box of assorted fillings on white and brown bread.Coffee good too. busy restaurant so it must be good.Tables clean but the upholstered chairs need recovering.

Called here several times and I have to be honest with another reviewer some if the staff are so rude, I've had a alright meal but it's not that great ok to fill a gap and to be honest it's a supermarket so all in all 4-5 out of 10

Excuse the obvious review but...It's a cafe...in Morrisons Supermarket...that's about all that needs to be said really.The food is fairly typical of this type of cafe and whilst the menu is constant the food can vary in quality..as can the service.I wouldn't rush out to this cafe but if your doing your shopping and you get a bit peckish then you could pop in here.It is what it is and it does what it says on the tin type of cafe.

My husband & myself called in for lunch,what we received to eat was disgusting & not worth £10 what we paid for,very small potion sized meals & a rip off,I complained to head office in Bradford & I received a £5 voucher for my complaint which I then returned the voucher to Bradford in disgust,i will never ever go to a morrisons café again.

Down on business called in for breakfast had flying start 2 sausage bacon egg half tomato half fried slice turned up on a tiny plate every time tried to cut food up it ended up on table felt like 3 year old mate had omelet came on proper plate kitchen staff or management need educating

Only been on few ocations,food okay but didnt like the attertude of the staff .Very rude to older people and no patience,Tables not cleaned quicky enough.

For a supermarket eatery this was ok. The breakfast was decent enough and the Staff were very helpful

Busy supermarket cafe, open all day every day.All sorts of meals from cooked breakfast, fish and chips, pies, pastas, salads, curry, roast dinners, etc.Selection of deserts & drinks.5* food hygiene rating, (somehow).Avoid the 'scrambled eggs' - they're made from dried egg they taste unpleasant & bitter.Avoid the 'mash' - it's a cheap and nasty packet mash.The food is mainly reasonably good.Prices about average for Neath.Staff are mainly pleasant, (some aren't!)Brekkies can be A1. but ...With the wrong cook on they can be awful.The 5* food rating appears to apply to the supermarket as a whole. The cafeterias kitchen looks OK but the tables can very often be filthy, (from the previous day).
