Cafe Mojito in Bexley

We dined at this restaurant in the hope of a pleasant experience and we were sadly disappointed. The food was poor and the service worse. No atmosphere and expensive. We won't be returning.

My experience at cafe mojitos was poor service the waiter was very slow to do anything he should have stayed at home .not so good food it’s just average .and the place could do with a makeover I definitely wouldn’t go back the tables look like they came from a dustbin.by the way you can tell a lot about a place with dirty toilets

We had a nice time in our first visit. All foods that we ordered were delicious: Burrito, fajita and enchilada. You can feel full without starters or sides, no need to order in next time. Affordable prices for portions. The service fee is added. Friendly staff.

Huge range of drinks, cocktails, shooters and wine. We only stopped for a drink but would like to come for food. At 10pm it was quiet but friendly but that was what we wanted.

In London for work and ventured out for a meal.as the hotel kitchen had closed ay 4pm??? Looked at the menu at the door and the waiter, a decent starter at the restaurant, told me it was Steak night and without being pushy, offered a table outside as I was smoking. Meal really tasty, rump, and a lovely peppercorn sauce. Very reasonable, good food will call back before I head to Manchester later this week

Came here for dinner last weekend as a last minute dinner! The waiter was very friendly and helped us pick our food as we was not sure what to order… The food was amazing and mouth watering! We had enchiladas and fajitas along with pina coladas! The atmosphere here is great really gives you Mexican vibes! Halfway through our meal the manager came by and checked in on us. We were really overwhelmed with the service. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked wife’s birthday meal here. Looking forward to revisiting the lovely food and amazing mocktail. Thank you guys.

Let me start by saying bagna and tanmoy are the top dogs great service best steak I’ve ever had that’s no lie and a very comfortable environment never a disappointment coming here

Pour service, we all asked several times for our drinks orders and at times the food order came rather randomly. I know they're having a busy night, but to remind the waiter four times to bring your drink is a bit excessive. The food itself was decent, but they could improve on their service.

Recently, I dined at Café Mojito, a Mexican restaurant, and I was impressed by the quality of the food. The food was incredibly flavorful and generous. We left perfectly satisfied, as the portions were so plentiful. In fact, we even took the leftovers home because our plates were so full. Every bite was a delight and truly enhanced our culinary experience at Café Mojito. The staff, especially Bugna, were extremely kind and professional. Bugna is an exemplary server who made our experience very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for delicious Mexican cuisine and exceptional service!

My new favourite restaurant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ lovely service and food is 10/10. I attended here in a large group (16) quite late on a Wednesday evening. The staff were truly lovely and couldn't of been more welcoming ( considering it was late ) the food came out at a standard time and was absolutely lovely, not 1 person had any negative feedback. None of our table drank Alcohol ( can't ) but this didn't faze the staff. I then returned to the restaurant last night ( valentine's) with my partner as I wanted to show him how nice the food was here. The atmosphere was lovely, music in the background was that of love songs but I think they play what music it looks like there clientele will like. Again our food was lovely and the staff regonized me from the week before. I was greeted with smiles 😊. Again we had an amazing dinner, steak cooked to perfection. Then when we got the bill I was gifted with a rose 🌹🌹🌹🌹 which I noticed they gave to all the Ladies........how lovely, see you again soon cafe mojito. Suranne x

Possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We attended on steak night and made our order. We ordered two mojitos and were provided drinks with black and rotten limes. Photos are available. Two different steaks cooked to different levels were ordered. One rare fillet and one tbone medium-rare. When they arrived, it was obvious to us and the waitress that the steaks were cooked the wrong way around on levels of cooking. The fillet steak was also very small and another piece of lower quality rump steak was added on the plate next to it(presumably to meet the weight of fillet advertised). The waitress insisted that my fillet be replaced with a rare one as it was quite tough but the tbone was kept as it was enjoyable. As soon as the waitress took the plate to the kitchen the owner of the restaurant stormed out the kitchen and marched to our table yelling about this being a perfect rare steak. He made a complete scene, causing the restaurant to go silent. I pointed out that the fact the steak is barely pink in the middle, let alone red, meant it was medium to medium rare at best. I also demonstrated that the steak was firm to the touch, again an indication that it was not cooked rare as ordered. The owner raised his voice repeatedly trying to belittle and embarrass but removed the plate from the table. After 25 minutes, no replacement meal had been provided, the rest of the table had finished and so I requested the bill as we had an event to attend, with the steak and sauce I was unable to eat to be removed from the bill. The bill arrived with everything still on it and nothing removed (despite the meal being physically removed from our table). Eventually this was revised and the steak was removed. The steak sauce remained (which was also taken by the owner) and the service charge which had been requested to be removed due to the owners behaviour still remained. It was also noted that the 2-4-1 cocktails had then not been applied to the bill (and subsequently price rose for drinks on the bill) and there was an attempt to charge for both. Eventually, after several complaints this was corrected but this took 20 extra minutes to do and no attempt to present the meal ordered was ever made.

I had the pink mocktail juice, starters of garlic bread and prawn skewers, onion rings, chips For mains I had the vegetarian risotto And dessert I tried a little bit of cheesecake Was great and filling too I couldn't finish it! Go visit !

Really enjoyed it here, came with some friends and had drinks and main courses. The food was great, ordered a range of dishes and all of them were well cooked and presented. Service was great, very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely return 🙂

I wouldn’t go anywhere near this place, avoid if you can. Went on a Monday night for dinner and very disappointed. Place was actually quite busy for a Monday night so was optimistic. Ordered tacos and quesadillas for starters. The tacos were actually okay but the quesadillas were so bad that after one bite, decided not to have it at all. Told the waitress when she collected, no apology, not even acknowledged that it was so bad, just carried on as though no problems. For mains had the penne and chimichanga. Chimichanga not bad, Penne absolutely terrible and again didn’t have. Waitress again saw it was returned without eating, just shrugged her shoulders and took It back. Returned with full bill even though we hadn’t touched half the food. Couldn’t be bothered to speak any further about it when she obviously didn’t care so paid and left.

Would not recommend, there were flies in our pitcher of sangria and when we asked to take the service charge off (as they added an extra pitcher of cocktail into the bill which we didn’t order and the member of staff rolled their eyes at me, as well as the flies in the drink), the member of staff argued with me about taking it off, service charge was £30 on a £300+ bill.

Absolutely everything was amazing from the service to the food, I could not recommend this any further. I would go as far to say that this is the best restaurant in Bexleyheath. If you're ever feeling hungry I insist you come here the staff is kind and the food is great and the quality is amazing. I ordered the seafood linguine and it was an exceptional dish and surpassed the expectations based off past dishes from previous restaurants.

First class! Excellent service!! The gentleman who greeted us was very helpful and friendly. The service given was very fast, efficient, and considerate as we were in a hurry. Extra salad was given even though it was not part of the menu. Much appreciated! Will definitely visit again.

Started off with some lovely cocktails - yummy! And had the vegan burger and fries which was also delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. Nice and quiet while we were there which was appreciated - no loud music or rowdy crowds so was very relaxing.

Had a really nice time food was lovely only thing I’m not happy about is the service we had are food and it came to £145 what was not a problem what I wasn’t happy about was we got left with a £14 service charge I’m more than happy to give a tip but I am not happy to pay £14 when we had to ask for more drinks we had to keep getting up they checked on us once and even then didn’t offer us and more jugs, once I questioned him on the service fee he began to argue and said no this is how we get paid which we all know is not true! But for a waiter to argue with a customer over a service charge is ridiculous never in my life have I had some one argue with me over a tip it was really embarrassing talking across the room to us telling us that’s how he gets paid the whole situation was really embarrassing and for that reason being I won’t be attending again

I went to the Cafe Mojito on a Sunday 12/03/23 to have a coffee after I had lunch elsewhere. I understand is a cocktail bar/restaurant more than a coffee shop however they have a coffee machine which means the serve coffee. I asked for a latte with almond milk and the waiter said they only had cow's milk, I said that's strange as they should cater for ppl with intolerances and his answer was we're not a coffee shop when the name of the place bloody 'CAFE'. Anyway, I said regardless this is not a coffee shop you should still think about ppl that cannot drink milk and he said I should go to Costa Coffee and he was laughing on my face, unbelievable. Btw the place was empty! I am all about supporting local businesses, but how can I support a place when the same local business that I should support tells me to go to a big coffee chain as Costa Coffee. Well, now this business has lost a customer that would defo come back, but not anymore and I'll never recommend to anybody. I ended up going to a Bistro cafe maybe 200m up and they were so lovely and helpful, and had all types of alternative milk. So my advise is don't waste your time or money going to this place with someone that's so rude and sarcastic, is not worth it.

Very long wait!! We went on a midday evening and wasn’t really busy. Starters took over an hour to come out, mains came out nearly 2 hours after ordering them. So I was waiting nearly 2 hours for any food. When the starters came out after an hour they were cold. I asked for my main to brought out as soon as possible, while the rest of my table was eating their starters and it came out nearly an hour later, and was the last main to be brought out (it was only chicken and rice). Food was very mediocre. There was a £20 service charge which we got removed. Would not recommend.

Food delicious ... Service good, but made mistakes when busy

Customer service was second to none. But the chef needs to master the ability to cook, to say my food was even cooked by a chef would be beyond a joke, I've tasted better food out of a Lidl Microwave Meal. Cocktails also leave a lot to be desired. If your starving, stay hungry, your stomach will thank you.

This is by far the best Mexican meal I have eaten. Great value too.

We tried to come in to have a few drinks but the owner was so rude and told he was shut even thoe they shut at 11and we turned up at 10.20. So wrong to advertise a time but not keep to it.

I am giving cafe mojito this rating not because the food or drink disappointed but went and was having lovely evening when a female friend we was with had her bf who is not part of our group but turned up anyway attacked her out of the blue and began strangling her. In seeing this me and my daughter jumped to her defence and get him away from her. Which we successfully done. Thank god as everyone else seemed to look away. But instead of the manager seeing that me and my daughter diffused which could have been a much worse situation decided that when 4 of us girls tried to go back in july to completely ruin my daughters birthday by informing us that we were bard. When I tried to have a conversation with him and make him see that we done nothing but the right thing by a young girl he just wasn’t interested and maintained that because it happened at our table outside me and my daughters can no longer use the restaurant. I am shocked that this is the view the manager chose to see and not that we were protecting a young girl suffering domestic abuse. Thankfully I have never seen this man again and she has finally got to safety. But just feel so angry that I have had to miss occasions in these months to attend brunches with friends because of the complete lack of compassion or care from this manager for the young girl we saved from horrible danger and harm. Just thought it needed acknowledging by the public whom I think would agree this is completely out of order

Love the food here, it’s always delicious but service can be so slow. We waited for about half an hour for drinks to be ordered and about an hour to order food.. The food then didn’t arrive for another hour.. I do love cafe mojito but this aspect could be improved. We had to pay a service charge on top of our bill, which we paid without fuss but I don’t think it was entirely deserved this time round

Love this place. Price is reasonable and there's a good selection of food and cocktails are lush although at times it depends who makes it that determines how smooth the blend is. The staff are great very friendly and accommodating. The recently changed their chicken wings ( not as great as they were befor- PLEASE bring back the old ones )

Always a good venue, not overpriced but if you can afford it go for the 1kg bone in steak! It's cooked to perfection everytime, I like it rare to medium rare!!! Cocktails pukka too!

Went for lunch today with a friend and had the set menu. Food was wonderful 💯. Freshly prepared and perfectly cooked. We sat in the outside area and had the place to ourselves. Service was first class, not the annoying hovering type and not the type where you wonder if the waiter forgets (or ignores) your existence. Would defo recommend and can't wait to go back.

Normally like this place but this time after specifically asking for their vegetarian/vegan menu, and ordering a main and a starter from this menu, I was upset to have been given potato skins with bacon as a starter, and then to cut into my chimichanga to find it full of meat. The waiter did apologise and take it back but still not a nice experience. When the veggie option came out , it wasokay but definitely seemed like it had been thrown together in a hurry. Would be cautious going back.

Went for a 90 minute brunch on a sat evening, choice of 4 good cocktails, 4 starters and 4 mains. All of which were delish, cocktails kept coming by the very tentative waitress and the food was hot and fresh. Deffo worth the money. Only wish there was a dance floor and music to make a longer evening of it.

We had our lunch today at Mojito and had a very bad experience in terms of customer service. My 7 year old daughter food came 25-30 min late and manager was very rude with comment like ‘wasting food on you customers’. I will never recommend this cafe to anyone with this attitude and customer service.

This has to be one of the worst restaurants I've been to! The food wasn't great. I just happened to look up their FOOD HYGIENE RATING and they were awarded with a 1 STAR rating with MAJOR IMPROVEMENT NECESSARY!!!! Some members of staff made me feel so uncomfortable and despite having reserved a table in advance, we were warned that we might have to move if a larger group come in.

Food was delicious but tables were to close together. I was sitting on end of my group's table, there was a table very close to ours. I had to protect my food and drink from other people's bottoms when they kept getting up or down from their seat/table. Even the waitresses bottoms were nearly touching my food. I also had to keep moving my head out of the way of their bottoms when the people sat back down. They were so close i could of bite them. Not nice at all. Also our waitress said we were quite a bit of money short when we each paid our bill. She was getting quite annoyed as our group were looking at the bill to see where we went wrong. It turned out that she had charged us for a service charge which another waitress said we didn't have to pay if we didn't want to. It would of been nice/polite if our waitress explained this instead of getting cross and shaking her head. Most people in there were extremely loud and drunk, they were paying their bills without checking to see if it was the right amount and leaving a tip on top of extra money being charged. Have been here a few times. This hadn't happened before so disappointed with this evenings experience 😠👎

Came here for the first time for New Year's Eve with a couple of friends, had to wait an hour and thirteen minutes to get a table even though my friend already had a table booked in advance. The drinks were good but the thing that was the biggest let down was when the owner himself offered another set of shots and said there is an offer "buy two for the price of one" so we got them but when it came to paying for the bill, I was charged for two sets of shots, so instead of paying £18 I had to pay £36 and when we was trying to clarify it, the guy says that it was a joke....quite the bad joke if you ask me. You're clearly out for drinks and will be interested in any "offers" so taking advantage like that just to sell a beverage is not on. It was simply disappointing and hope it doesn't happen again to anyone else, but definitely know for sure I would not come back here after that.

Food was just okay ish pretty bland and not at all mexican tasting no spice or seasoning...felt very rushed and the staff were frantically rushing us along therefore I'm not impressed with the service and will not be returning to this place

Unfortunately this dinner was a massive disappointment. I give it two stars for the waitresses only who were great. The food was AWFUL! It's not an authentic Mexican restaurant. For starters we had hot wings that were not hot, they were overcooked, and came with a sauce that could have been on the turn. The crab avocado was left as my 9 year old said it didn't taste right and I too felt had a sour taste to it. The chilli nachos were not, the chilli was watery and had no flavour, the nachos were like cheesy Doritos, the sour cream dip was ok. The fajitas were covered in BBQ sauce, the lamb cutlets were as big as my female thumb and overcooked. Each one out of four was one mouthful. They came with mash which I couldn't finish as it didn't taste right. The veal gravy was instant gravy. The fries were like frozen fries that had no seasoning. I've been to many Mexican restaurants in London and this was not that. The food is not fresh and could have been on the turn. I left feeling slightly sick, possibly from the worry I was poisoned. This morning my little one has the runs. I'm sorry guys, your service was great but the kitchen hasn't a clue, the food was gross. We will never return.

An early 2000's RnB playlist doesn't go hand in hand with a Mexican restaurant. The food was OK. The chicken fajitas tasted like BBQ Old El Paso (but at a premium price) and lamb cutlets were especially disappointing. The service was good but I probably wouldn't go again.
