Great value for money - if you're wanted a big breakfast for a good price, can walk in without booking, this is a good place in Headingley! Staff (think it was the owner) was so friendly and welcoming. Really tasty lattes!! If I was being picky and there was anything I could say eggs were a tad on the rubbery side but it wouldn't stop me going back as the breakfast was still banging! Thanks again

We visited Lento the day after my son’s graduation and ordered 2 x all day breakfasts, a fish finger sandwich and a goats cheese and omelette with 4 x lattes, one with oat milk. All the ingredients were fresh and expertly cooked and presented. The sausages were herby and not just standard catering ones, fresh tomatoes, tasty bacon and black pudding and the toast was made from fresh crusty bread. The omelette and did finger were also of a very high standard. Thanks very much for a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend.

The four stars is because I think they just need to spruce the place up a little. Other than that, you cannot fault the food or service! Quite a nice selection of breakfast and bites.

Closing time was incorrect online so I arrived when the owner (I presume) was locking up. Sadly greeted with very rude service from him. Hopefully the staff are nicer.

Called in for a coffee and toast waiting for the gates to open at the cricket. Great coffee and nice buttered toast with jam at a good price. Plenty of Jazz chat with the owner and other guests. The young barista from Abingdon was lovely and makes great coffee with a lovely smile. Definitely worth going.

Lunch for three. It is possible for both vegans and omnivores to get a decent lunch here. The cafe is licensed, though with a limited range of alcoholic beverages. Cozy ambience, though on a warm and sunny day it is possible to sit outside at pavement tables. There are some books available for customers.

Adorable small cafe in headingley with intimate little creaky tables and scatter cushions galore. Good selection of meat/Vege/vegan breakfasts and lunch options. No sour dough pavés or Miso reductions here, but simple dishes done well. The special of garlic mushrooms with a poached egg was nice, and the Vege breakfast a good portion. The Coffee isn't one of the local roasters but is fairly good. The staff are kind and one of them whistles along to the (good) music which eventually becomes endearing. They don't mind dogs helps with the appeal.

Amazing atmosphere, interesting people who get a warm welcome from the staff, many on first name terms. The music is as good as the food and it’s so great to find tasty veggie options on the menu, like this delicious veggie sausage sandwich with caramelised onions and cheese.

This cafe really lives up to it's name as lento means SLOW in Italian. It's hard to find the words to describe how excruciatingly slow the service was. Not only did it take 15 minutes for a croissant to come, but it was the most stale pastry I have ever had the displeasure of biting in to. You could tell that the croissant was at least 3 days old. Shocking, when they are right next to a Sainsbury... I didn't even bother finishing it and bought my own breakfast elsewhere. The two ladies working there were miserable. The presentation of their food was appalling and they took no care over it. I hated every second of being there and will never visit again.

I went to Cafe Lento a few weeks back to get some lunch with my boyfriend. The place is nice and cosy, and I was happy to find quite a few vegetarian options. The food is alright and the portion are generous but some products are over priced: I had the vegan carrot cake and the size of the slice was a joke (it wasn't nice anyway but it was well pricey for what it was!). The coffee is average. I'd recommend this place for a little lunch break but not for a treat in the afternoon.

This is an excellent choice for breakfast in an area where you're spoilt for choice. Can't make up your mind so try this place. Friendly service, reasonable prices, good food and coffee. Like a previous reviewer I'd like to see a coffee refill but overall I'd still choose this place.

Arty and bohemian establishment with live music. Nice to enter an establishment where the owner genuinely has the customer as the first priority. My breakfast was very nice and plentiful. We will return next time we are visiting family. A top up of coffee would make the place perfect.

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Pit Stop Cafe while on the way to Scotland. I was so glad I did - the food was incredible! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was so pleasant. The breakfast menu had so many delicious options to choose from, and I ended up enjoying a full English and a cup of tea. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely plan to stop by Pit Stop Cafe again next time I'm in the area!
