Thoroughly enjoyed home made soup and a delicious panini for my lunch followed by tea and biscuits. Didn't want big breakfast my hotel offered and the tea rooms bacon roll and excellent cuppa got my day of to a good start - 3 times. Found the staff very friendly. Sorry for other traveller who felt ignored must have been a one off.

I walked in and waited for several minutes and even after making eye contact with several servers no one ever came to talk to me. I ended up standing next to the “please wait to be seated” sign until I was thoroughly embarrassed and just left. Terrible service just go somewhere else.

Well this afternoon tea must be up there with the best we’ve had. This is a hidden gem. The quality of food was excellent value for money. Service first class. Very flexible on our choices due to some dietary requirements. Would love to come winter with a wee mulled wine. Love this place.

Was visiting the Botanic Gardens with a friend from Edinburgh and stopped for lunch at the Tearoom. We both had a tuna melt panini followed by carrot cake with coffee for me and tea for my friend. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was nicely presented and tasty. It was good to be able to sit outside on the terrace under the shade of an umbrella.

Just awful….a complete waste of money. Stale sandwich… only cheese and tomato on offer as they had run out of everything else. Processed cheap cheese and literally one slice of tomato in the sandwich. Absolutely awful… don’t go. If you need a good sandwich walk down to Pret A Manger ! I certainly won’t be back!

This was a wowcher gift for my husband and I. Visited Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Get a list of sandwiches and to pick one each. Out comes the afternoon tea with 3 sandwiches each of your preferred choice. 2 and a half slice of medium size bread. One fruit scone one (I think) plain scone with jam and clotted cream. On cake each and ours was a very small empire biscuit and a even smaller Victoria sponge. Everything did taste very pleasant but it was one afternoon tea you weren’t leaving stuffed and if you don’t like cream and jam then couldn’t have at anything apart from the sandwich. Choice of tea or coffee. Coffee I think is out an urn. I asked for a flat white just to be told no - could have even offered with addition charge? Was an Ok experience but won’t return.

Place is a shambles. No consistency whatsoever. Shut every time we visit. Ye phone to order and they to you use the app. The app doesn’t work. Their timings are all over the shot. What’s the point in having a shop if you’re never open or reliable. Local area needs a better roll shop pronto. Would make a killing.

Worst shawarma I’ve ever had. I grew up with the best Lebanese/Middle Eastern food outside of the old country in Dearborn, Michigan. I enjoy pushing the envelope a bit with the cooks up King Street and Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, and while a bit greasy, that food is all right. Shawarma Boy? Man: you gotta grow up. It’s clear that the food is hanging on its laurels with jalapeños, chilli…and zero taste underneath. For £13 for a wrap and chips, I expect a lot more than a tiny wrap which was made wrong in the first place - not okay for someone to order food without stuff to then have half the junk on it...I mean, get it together. The worst chicken shawarma I’ve ever tasted in the entire world can be found at Shawarma Boy in the Barras - Calton, Glasgow at BAaD. It's awful. Avoid.

Visited here this morning around 10.30 for coffee and cookie both were good. Cafe wasn't busy but tables had not been wiped. Visited the ladies toilets to find they were not very clean and floor dirty wouldn't have expected this at this time of day. Saw a colleague come out of toilet so they must have been aware of this as she had put notice up that one was out of order. Very disappointing.
