We had looked at the reviews & saw they were extremely good so we was really looking forward to a lovely breakfast, we live in Dorchester so it was a little bit of a drive, but we thought we would see what everyone was saying great things about this hidden gem. (But as soon as we arrived before 11am we was looking at the breakfast menu & about to sit down when the woman who was serving at the till overheard what we was saying about our breakfast order & she immediately said breakfast is finished, no sorry or anything, extremely rude & sharp. So we left never to return again.

Fabulous food - great for coffee & cake or a full lunch. Bacon sandwiches are particularly good! Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely little cafe very friendly staff, lovely cakes etc especially their apple cake. Go there on a Friday with friends and nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit if in Wareham, pets are also welcome.

Well, I have read most of the reviews on the Salt Pig in Swanage, and must say that unfortunately they must have been having a bad day. My wife and I did not have a great experience of the food; we ordered lasagne with a side order of carrots and cauliflower cheese, it was so disappointing. Firstly, the food was barely warm, the lasagne had very little taste with hardly any meat in it. The cauliflower cheese, well! I can only describe it as a mixed vegetable concoction, with no cheese or taste to it at all. The serving staff however, were friendly and attentive, the young gentleman server actually went out of his way to help an elderly gentleman who was visually impaired. Total respect to him.
