Pokey room with a crap wire spring mattress on a slat bed, as old as the hotel ? Pillows marginally better, but also not good At least it was a queen bed (not double as a few places have) Only 1 mug in the room (couldn't be bothered raising it, but how do housekeeping not check) Quite disappointed Staff very friendly

We stayed overnight in Lawrence's room during our visit to Tiger Day at The Tank Museum. The room was incredible; tons of charm, modern amenities, comfortable beds, and plenty of room for 3 adults. The staff were great and made check-in/check-out easy. Our only regret was we didn't stay here longer. Highly recommend!

What a lovely hotel right in the middle of Wareham and was able to park virtually outside at no cost. Only a one night stay. My room was incredibly comfortable with a nice bathroom with a great shower. A great night's sleep. Had a lovely evening meal and breakfast was very nice. After hearing about my various visits to sites around the country associated with Lawrence of Arabia our breakfast table was set up so I could sit in his seat, a wonderful touch from an extremely friendly and lovely lady. Great value too.

Clean room, friendly staff, great location and most importantly very affordable. The only thing that I wanted to mention and this might have been my fault, but I had breakfast included which I didn't know as I haven't seen it mentioned in any of my emails that I received from Anglebury House booking. It might be helpful for next customers if the email specified that a breakfast is included. But yet again, I have booked this room quite in advance so I might have just missed it.

Warm and friendly welcome in an authentic English bed and breakfast. The breakfast is delicious, the rooms are quiet and pleasant. Our 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed our stay as much as we did. I recommend without any hesitation!

What a lovely place to have discovered after visiting the Etches Museum looking a a bite to eat. Ordered a sandwich which was accompanied with chips and salad and was delicious. Couldn’t help asking about the building which dated from 1550. Th staff were friendly, helpful, and more than willing to tell me the history of their building.

Rm 10, bed very uncomfortable, lumpy and creaky, no bath soap or shampoo in the room. A very sleepless night, and a very disappointing stay.

Well, I have read most of the reviews on the Salt Pig in Swanage, and must say that unfortunately they must have been having a bad day. My wife and I did not have a great experience of the food; we ordered lasagne with a side order of carrots and cauliflower cheese, it was so disappointing. Firstly, the food was barely warm, the lasagne had very little taste with hardly any meat in it. The cauliflower cheese, well! I can only describe it as a mixed vegetable concoction, with no cheese or taste to it at all. The serving staff however, were friendly and attentive, the young gentleman server actually went out of his way to help an elderly gentleman who was visually impaired. Total respect to him.

We, Steven, Sandra and Blossom our English Bull Dog have visited this Pub many many times over the years. We live in Poole, and it makes for a nice trip out for Sunday lunch. I am always torn between having a Sunday roast, or their Cod Morney, which frankly is to die for. We normally go when the sun shines as we like to be in the garden with lovely views across the fields. In the summer months we try and visit at least once per month. I have read a few negative reviews here which has prompted me to write this. I guess every establishment might have an off day, that's life, but we have always found the staff to be friendly, and the food to be excellent. Zeta is a lovely girl (I'm sure her husband wont mind me saying that) They both work incredibly hard, and deserve to do well. Zeta had twins only a few months ago, and must be working flat out looking after them and running the Pub at the same time. As the saying goes; ' if you don't use it, you will loose it' So, next time your thinking of having a meal out somewhere in the Purbecks and wondering where to go, do give this a go. I am sure you wont be disappointed.
