Excellent food, such a lovely server, however a bottle of Isla Negra white wine is never 28.00!! Outrageous.

The service was brilliant and, on arrival we were informed that the service may be a little slow due to staff shortage on the day. Despite this the service was rapid and excellent. The lady in charge of the restaurant was extremely professional and engaging. The food was also excellent and I would recommend this restaurant.

Loved this place was our first visit the food amazing and the dessert to die for the staff were excellent couldn't help us enough as we had small children with us will be paying another visit again and again on a regular basis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Visited on14th April, very disappointed, 2 starters too salty,not offered another. 1 main meal missed, 3 sweets missed. Staff were asked by 3 different people for water for table. Eventually brought 3 glasses of water. Staff were hurrying us up,clearing plates before finished..This was my 1st visit here,but all others had been before,and they said the food and service was awful. It's a pity,because it is a lovely restaurant but need to train staff on being pleasant. At this rate you will lose custom to La Vita at Baillieston. There was 13 in our group and only one other table with about 10. Not busy,so standard was not good. Roller door almost knocked 2 people out.

Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here. My partner and i both had the lunch menu. My starter dish was the breaded mushrooms. A bit disappointing as there was only 2 mushrooms. Partner had bruschetta. I got the steak pie for my main dish. Really enjoyed this. Steak pie had right amount of meat/sauce. Veg and mash delicious. Partner had the spaghetti bolongaise. The size of this was a bit on the small side. Had a side salad also and this was larger than the spaghetti. Only gave it 4 stars because of the mushrooms and spaghetti were too small in my opinion.

2 courses £14.95 for lunch, it was excellent and the girl who served us today was really lovely and seemed genuinely happy to be there working, we will definetly be back! Thanks for everything today :-)

We have been promising ourselves a visit here for ages.. finally managed to go for dinner tonight. Whats a lovely restaurant! Staff very friendly, great service - even though i overheard a member of staff called in sick, they were working so hard to cover all the tables and be as quick as possible - apologising for the "slow service" ....wasnt even that slow in my opinion! Food was incredible! Hot when served and delicious!! Well worth a trip back! Thanks guys n gals! 😁👍

Really nice lunch and Italian restaurants aren't even on my list of choices of eateries. Service a wee bit slow but we weren't in a hurry. Very nice surroundings and very clean.

The food is really good but make sure you either dine early or dine when the owner is in because the staff are super keen to rush you through your dinner and out, all around 9pm even though we booked in at 7.45pm. This was a Saturday and not midweek. There was no shortage of staff and plenty of them. We were NOT advised at time of booking of an early closure or even when we arrived. It was supremely disappointing when staff kept encouraging us to hurry hurry hurry. My starter was Fruit de Mare a lovely seafood dish and absolutely lovely, after 10 minutes I was asked if I was finished it, even although it was clear I was nowhere near finished. My partner had the Soup of the Day, also delicious. I had the mussels in white wine and garlic sauce and I was served a very generous and quite honestly DELICIOUS dish. However that is when we started to feel the presence of staff rushing us. After only 1 hour at 8.45!!! At 9pm they put the lights out in all ither areas except our table and at least 3 times I had to stop staff from lifting my dish as I was only halfway through.That was 9.15 pm and In the end I gave up the dish having not finished and hoped for a dessert as the menu looked great but it was CRYSTAL clear they wanted us out and fast. Only 1 staff member remained and he looked very unhappy with us. It was a first outing for me in over 3 months and my birthday but BADLY let down by the staff. I want to be clear that the food and surroundings are beautiful. I ordered a glass of wine with dinner and did not even get to finish that. We finally took the hint and left at and the place was in full darkness as we reached the front door. I had asked my partner specifically to book Gia's for my birthday dinner as we have always enjoyed going and the owner is completely lovely and friendly and this would NOT have happened if she had been there, and she obviously cannot be there 7 days/nights and has to trust her staff. Quite frankly their behaviour let her down on this occasion. I am sorry to be leaving this review but the staff were a complete disgrace and ruined the night and i will certainly think twice to book for a table for anything but lunch or early evening menu.

We visited yesterday with our toddler. We ordered two stuffed mushroom starters, a kids spag bol and two fillet steaks cooked medium rare, strawberry cheesecake and a latte. Everything was delicious.. although I wasn't keen on the texture of the cheesecake but could just be me! The serving staff are helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, the hall and toilets were really clean and stocked up. We will definitely be back on the regular! X

We are from the US on vacation. We’ve been in the UK for a week, heading north to Scotland for The Open. We stopped in Glasgow for dinner and ended up at Gia’s (a suggestion from the bartender at The Gables). The food was incredible! The lasagna and spaghetti carbonara we’re the best we’ve ever had! The service was equally excellent! Federico was personable and attentive! We got dessert to go-were excited to try it! Great place all around!

Sensational! I booked a table for 17,(seventeen!) people on a Tuesday evening. Theresa and her team went out of their way to provide us with a perfect seating arrangement which made for a really sociable evening. The food was amazing and the service was brilliant. Every single member of my party has been raving about both and we will definitely be back. Well done Gia's!

Husband booked a table saturday night for dinner very dissappointed in the food tasteless and the diane sauce tasted like vinegar didden't get the chance to give them a tip as still waiting for our change .

Went for a family lunch mid week, waa our first time there was a great experience food was lovely and well priced, also we had our 2 children 1 2 and a half 1 6 months our older 1 never sits on his bum was walking around the owners were chatting and intacting with him was great to see this he was loving the attention, thank so much for lovely vist will definitely be back

During the week treat, starters prawn skewer nice 👌 my partner had calamari...this was not so good was very chewy, the gent that served us returned after we asked him, and immediately asked do you want another or something else, another prawn skewer was chosen this was very nice again👍. The mains were terrific I had hearty beef stew, it was brilliant, for my partner she had pasta gamborini this was good. Great service and a lovely place x

Great food, service, ambience and acoustics. Our large party sampled everything across the menu and enjoyed it all. Wonderful place for a group celebration or a smaller more intimate occasion.

Review update: came in for the 2/3 course lunch menu and it was great value. The risotto is incredible here and the fish and chips was delicious. £70 for 3 lunches and 6 drinks - good value! ————-——————————————— Have had dinner here a couple of times. Service is always great and the food is made fresh. It’s immaculately decorated and very clean. The food is on the slightly expensive side for the portion size but it’s tasty and there’s a great range on the menu. Great to have a lovely place like this local to us!

TLDR:As a foodie I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious, The service was great. Full review: The decoration is pleasent and the aesthetics match it is a modern decor. As I entered the restaurant at 7:24pm I was seen to immediately and seated at the same time. The waiter asked if I knew what I'd like to drink or if he should come back In a few minutes, I opted for that latter. After a few minutes he came back and took my order. Within 10minutes of me coming into the door, being seated / After 5 minutes of my order being placed. My food was served to me. The waiter have me two sets of cutlery. As i had ordered 2 mains, Linguine Al Salmone and Rigatone Con Salsiccsia, both mains with completely different tastes. This simple action tells me that he knows that the flavors should never mix. He asked me if I would like pepper and parmisian. I said yes, and he seasoned my dishes for me. The Linguine Al Salmon was very nice presented and dish was served very smart / clean, there was no signs of single drop of sauce being splattered around the dish. The dish was very aromatic. This dish's sauce was a lovely thick rich creamy umami based sauce which covered the pasta very well with plenty left over, this dish is served Aldente I highly recommend this if you are not sure what to have. The Rigatone con Salsiccsia consisted of a tomato based spicy sauce, the sauce is definately spicy with subtle sweet tones complimenting the dish along with meat, the sauce is just enough to cover the pasta without flooding it and not undercoating it. This dish is also served aldente. I highly recommend anyone to come try the food here.

Came here for the first time last night. I won't be be back. Staff friendly except for one member of staff elderly and intimidating keep staring when you were eating your dinner and walking by you. The meal itself was disappointing. Wife got minestrone soup, it was so thick it was off putting also tasted different from other minestrone soup. I took chicken tenders they were good. The main itself was very disappointing Spicy meatballs. They were poor not spicy at all. Meatballs no taste to them. The pasta sauce was dry again not much taste to it. I would not recommend to others to try after my experience. Pity though nice restaurant surroundings and well decorated.

Excellent Italian casual dining. Really nicely laid out and tastefully decorated in a contemporary style. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent menu choices, superb coffee. Not expensive by any means and definitely worth a visit if you are local or just passing by. I would definitely make a point of returning next time I am in the area.
