I had my 60th birthday meal here with family, and had never been before. Very classy and stylish space, the food was perfect, as was the service. Thankyou

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. The staff are very friendly and know all the regulars names. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was fantastic. My wife had the full Scottish and it too was great. High-quality ingredients cooked perfectly!

My friend and I came here on a visit to Glasgow. Service was good. My mate was out having a ciggie when the food came, so the server went to get him. The food was good. Sausage was full of meat and my poached egg was cooked perfectly. The bacon was thick and streaky with excellent black pudding. No baked beans so have to knock a star off for that im afraid. Two full breakfasts and two mamosa were 50 quid. Expsensive for what you got but clearly popular as they were taking bookings. Personally I wouldnt return as I have had nicer for cheaper.

We went five people there. Their breakfast menus were wonderful and staff was very warm-hearted, sincere and helpful :) Thank you.

We had a delightful dinner at Cafe Gandolfini on our first visit, and it certainly lived up to the fantastic online reviews! The restaurant’s prime location near our hotel and the Barrowlands made it an easy choice for our evening before a gig. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the warm and welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. Despite being packed to the brim, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting—no pretense here, just genuine hospitality. Our tables order: - Freedom Bakery Sourdough Bread, House Butter (shared) - Leek and Manchego Croquette, Aioli (shared) - Fillet of Coley, Arbroath Smokies Cream, Potato Terrine, Chive Oil - Pork & Porcini Mushroom Ragu, Pappardelle, Parmesan - Endive and Watercress Salad, Walnuts, Roquefort (shared) - Chocolate Cremeux, Pistachio, Extra Virgin Olive Oil (shared)

Probably the best restaurant in Glasgow - absolutely exquisite fine dining. We had coley fish with a divine bechamel sauce of Arbroath Smokie and trout with beautifully pickled mussels in a superb broth. The dessert was simply a delightful taste explosion - French soft cheese melted onto toasted brioche, accompanied by an apricot confit which was highly peppered. Some how the pepper brought out the apricot more, and the apricot complimented the cheese to perfection. Bravo Gandolfi! We will be back.

Came here for breakfast with the in-laws after a kilt fitting nearby as recommended by a friend who had been (she also recommended to book it as it can be difficult for a walk in). Three of us had the eggs Hebridean and one Gandolfi full breakfast. The teas were perfect and my mother-in-law said her latte was beautiful. The best poached eggs I've had to date. The father-in-law said his breakfast was brilliant but some baked beans would have finished it off perfectly haha. The decor is cosy and full of character. A lot of history and woodwork/art. Staff were pleasant and professional. Would definitely love to come back here again!

Lovely staff & great food. I went for the haggis, neeps & tatties, and my date went for the trout. Both dishes were delicious. We had a pudding too, but we couldn't finish as we were too full!

The food is very good and the staff is super welcoming.

Muffins are very very good but would like something with it, a bit of salad, potato cubes.

Best veggie breakfast I ever had

Two of us on a December afternoon. We both opted for a £14 bowl of Cullen Skink. What came back was a very small, (even if it had been a starter portion, which it wasn't) bowl of tepid something. I had the same thing, half the price, twice the size, much hotter, in Oban the previous day. Honestly, absolutely shocking, substandard muck. Either we went on a particularly bad day or this place is seriously trading on its past reputation. We will never be back.

Authentic place. You can smell history in furniture s wood. Service and atmosphere is excellent. Food is not the best to be honest but tastes good, dont order the french toast. I would recommend it

All I can say is, try it, you won’t be disappointed. My first time, the place is absolutely first class. Basic things like great ingredients, cooked beautifully and arrive at the table piping hot. What else can you ask for. The staff are absolutely lovely, great service, look forward to my next visit. Thank you.

Stayed in Glasgow visiting friends and family, used Cafe Gandolfi for breakfast over four days. Excellent venue, food and customers service. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow.

We were walking around looking for a place for brunch and came across this comfortable looking restaurant. There were quite a number of dishes I wanted to try on the menu so we just ordered a couple different things to share! My favourite was a tiny fried cheese ball! Delicious coffee too!

Excellent food and service. The special pastrami sandwich was excellent.

Really lovely classic food. Child friendly, enough ambient noise to drown out my toddler. Staff were lovely.

walked in on an unexpected Scottish restaurant, ordered what I wasn’t comfortable with- this restaurant should be way up there. i was really impressed with this place. 9.5/10 all day celeriac dish, one of the best things i’ve ever had ( a big meat eater here) cheers guys

Attempt one: we turned up and we're told we would need to book. Fair enough - but the staff member delivering the news treated us like a nuisance. Attempt two, I booked ahead, was a bit annoyed that booking required a ton of information and a card on file - but hey ho. We turn up and they have no record of the booking and turn us away. Despite the active card check showing in my bank, and the booking window open on my phone. It was also basically empty at this point. Give this one a miss - there are so many better friendlier places like Spitfire round the corner

We lucked out and came at the perfect time to get a seat without a reservation! The Scottish breakfast is fabulous, lots of flavor and good portions. The French toast is massive and the perfect amount of sweetness. Everyone who worked there was kind, smiley, and had a great sense of humor! Definitely will be back next time we’re in Glasgow!

Gandolfi never disappoints, excellent all round.

There was choice other than Cafe Gandolfi when my American house guest asked for some good quality, authetnic Scottish dining. He was blown away by the decor, the ambience, the service and the portion size of his side and starter combo meal. I in the meantime, was salivating over the flavour and texture of the lentil base, accompanying the tastiest sausages this side of babylon. Great service and overall experience. You did Glasgow proud.

We had an extremely disappointing experience. We waited 45 minutes for breakfast, and when it finally arrived, it was far from enjoyable. The coffee, which I was really looking forward to as a coffee enthusiast, was bitter and undrinkable. The food was no better – the sausage was undercooked, the toast was tough, and overall, it felt rushed and poorly prepared. Unfortunately, we barely had time to eat due to the long wait and had to leave quickly. Everything about the meal was terrible.

I recently had a flat white from Cafe Gandolfi, and I must say, it was one of the worst coffees I've ever had—second only to Costa. The espresso was bitter and completely devoid of any flavor, making the entire experience extremely disappointing. Given that this café is in the city center, where competition is fierce, I expected much better. Unfortunately, Cafe Gandolfi failed to deliver, and I won't be returning for another cup.

We stopped in for breakfast and we were not disappointed. The brioche french toast with caramelised banana and walnuts is fantastic. Cappuccino was great as well. So glad we stopped in! Friendly and fast service!

Really nice place to sit. Good variety of breakfast choices. The teas, coffees and juices arrived quickly, the food took a while. We had finished are drinks and had to order more for with the food. We weren't in a hurry so it was ok for us. All the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.

At 5pm on a Saturday we went to have a coffee at the place. At that time there were no people and we could quietly enjoy the Cappuccino. The bar is decorated with wooden tables and is very warm. We liked it so much that the next morning, early, we went there for breakfast, this time at the restaurant. We recommend the Scottish breakfast and eggs Benedict. The service was very friendly and the product very good.

Clever and delicious new take on the scotch egg. It was spicy! I also had the lightly battered and fried courgette in a creamy ricotta sauce with thin strips of courgette drizzled with lemon and sprinkled with chopped mint. A lot of flavors going on there and they were harmonious. I was lucky enough to meet the owner/chef, Seumas MacInnes, the epitome of charm and grace. I loved hearing about his dishes. Get his cookbook!

A real treat. Gorgeous furnishings, decor, ambiance matched with the best versions of Scottish classics, all delicious! (We had wanted to try the cullen skink, and we did; pro tip: it's not a reptile.) Good wines as well. Very glad we found this place.

Used to go here in the 80s. Had a uni reunion with folks and had a fabulous time. Food great. I had the tagliatelle and tomato salad which were delicious and for dessert I had to Basque cheesecake which was lovely and light but super tasty. Great choices of food and wine.

40 years sine I was last here and it hasn't changed!! The menu was not extensive but what we had was delicious

I ordered veggie breakfast which is 14.50 pounds absolute waste ,rather you can just go to aldi and buy all the items that is in veggie breakfast and congratulations you can have items that lasts for 1 week.

We had breakfast in Gandolfi and it was the best place we could have chosen. The food was delicious and the staff adorable. They pampered us and took care of every detail. Highly recommend!!!

Incredible Scotch egg. I’ve never had one that compares to this back in the states. Do yourself a favor and stop in for the friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

Before a later start in work, my colleague and I treated ourselves to breakfast at 9am on a Wednesday morning at Cafe Gandolfi. The food and service are always 2nd to none.... I had a Cappuccino to start my morning followed up with the French Toast Banana, Walnuts n Maple Syrup... I honestly cannot see past this dish... absolutely delish... It kept me full until around 4pm! Both the servers were really friendly, attentive and caring. Cannot wait until our next visit 😍

What a funky spot! Came for breakfast - I had the Poached Eggs on Toast (with avocado and whipped feta) and my husband had the Full Scottish. Both were super yummy, everything was perfectly cooked. Staff was friendly and service was fast. The building was once an old cheese market, and the decor inside is really nest. Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch in Glasgow!

We were looking for a breakfast place on a Saturday and found this cafe highly recommended in many articles. Thought of giving it a try and we were not disappointed. We had one of the best bacon + Brioche French Toast and Gandolfi Full Breakfast. We are definitely going to try more food here soon. 😊 We went around 8.30 am in the morning and it was not very busy.

I had an amazing veggie breakfast (Halloumi, avocado, spinach, tomatoes, potato scone, mushroom, poached egg, and sourdough toast). Everything was cooked perfectly. Friendly staff, and the owner greeted customers like friends. Will definitely go back.

First dinner in Scotland and absolutely loved this place. Beautiful rustic decor, authentic sense of Glasgow history and culture and absolutely beautiful food. The black pudding with picked mushrooms was life changing and the bread and compound butter was Simple and delicious. The wait staff was kind and attentive to my little jet lagged kiddos and we had the opportunity to read the cafe’s cookbook intro: “well fed, well blessed”. This was the Glasgow meal I was hoping for!

A little cafe with some food. We booked a dinner with a group of over 20. The most time only one service person was there for us, so we had to wait a long time for the drinks. The food was good!

Went to this place for breakfast, 10/10. Really friendly service and the food was great. Everything inside looks like it’s carved out of wood so it’s verry warm and cozy.

We entered Cafe Gandolfi in search of breakfast, or more accurately, brunch; and were immediately confronted with a friendly greeting from the lovely AnnMarie, who served us throughout the visits. The whole restaurant screamed cosy and warm from the get go. It's important to note that we, as three young British fellows in hoodies, didn't quite match the rest of the clientele this Friday morning, however we were treated with just the same level of respect as anyone else. On the subject of us being young lads, we immediately checked for free wifi, which we were pleasantly surprised to see was completely free, without any sign in necessary. After ordering with our server it took almost no time for a drinks to be on our table, and then shortly after our food. My friends upon ordering took some items off their meal, and got extra sausages and potato cakes in place. As soon as the food was in front of us we were offered sauces and pepper, didn't even need to ask which was nice. As for the food, everything was cooked to perfection and all items were clearly selected carefully, or we just got lucky! Will definitely be returning for breakfast next time I'm up!

I stopped in here Saturday morning and didn't have a reservation, but it wasn't a problem .we were offered a table for an hour as it was booked for 11, which was not a problem . All of the staff here were just fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious,definitely worth booking in advance.
