Cafe Express in Kirklees

Spent just short of £12 on a jacket potato which was rock hard and a quiche that was awful and very gooey, not at all worth the money and will not be going again!! Ended up not eating it and going to greggs next door!

Food very good, not expensive and always piping hot. Great value

Just had a toasted teacake. The bread was brown and dry. I took one bite and left the rest. Won't go again. The place itself is nice and clean though hence two stars. One star for the food.

Denied me some tap water that I needed for meds.

Excellent service...must be the cleanest eatery ive been in..very well mannered guy behind the counter...highly highly recommended this place.....food was lovely and cooked just right ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me ..14/11/23

So going for food was a long shot 16.35 at the time but back was killing and needed to sit down at the very least, sorry we walked on ur floor, although the pause between asking and saying please was unnecessary, let it slide probably the end of a long day we all get short tempered, asked about food fine u stop making it I get it, choice of chicken or egg mayo in the cold sandwiches, so just coffee great ill just find something when I get home.. icing on the cake, guy comes after us and gets what looks like a cheese toasty after being sat for 5 minutes.. so it appears food is still served as long as ur face fits.. thanks used to come in after uni and swimming I think I will be just giving this place a miss now

Ordered a sandwich without onions and got onions returned it and got a fresh one WITHOUT ONIONS staff so apologetic brilliant service and food lovely

I do not recommend badly presented food , cold , bad service, and not overcooked , not good! at the cheapest cost!!! I don't recommend it, but we do recommend it for the 20 f I spent to get to work and not do it anymore shame. how can you wait 30 minutes and serve food after the queue

if frying bacon is so difficult and you can't do it serve it cold in front of customers argue with other customers because one of them didn't understand that you can't reheat a sandwich because it was cold throw food and be disrespectful the verdict is only one I will never go there again scandal

I bought a prawn mayo sandwich to take out. I'm sure the prawns were off! It went in the bin. Never again!!

Was half full and the server was very cheerful and helpful and the food arrived fairly quickly and was spot on and good value for money

Don't recommend this place at all. Woman behind the counter was so rude. Food was disgusting. Advertise Free Wifi on the window but force you to buy some overpriced stuff for the password which is so strange. Thought people up North were meant to be nice!

Gave them one star because you have to or it would have been no stars at all Asked the girl behind the counter for a tea with a small amount of milk. Tea passed over the counter with a number to take to the table. Asked the girl behind the counter twice for help she just stared into space. Despite my arm being in a bright pink pot and seeing that I needed use a walking stick. Tea was undrinkable too much milk, egg cremated ,stale bread and butter and cold chips. Cost the grand total of £6.60. Other customers were not impressed as food looked terrible. When I complained all she said is she would do me another egg. Told her to keep it and left without any refund ,told the another member of staff not to bother to replace the tea as I was leaving. Good lesson learnt, keep away they can't even manage basic egg and chips.

It is cheap and cheerful and handy being attached to Huddersfield Bus Station. We have enjoyed a couple of nice meals there since they opened after the lockdown. Omelettes and jacket potatoes served with side salad. Good selection of other main courses, sandwiches and desserts and reasonably priced.

Beautiful staff an excellent food

Just paid nearly £5 for cheese and onion toastie and chips, with drink. The bread was wafer thin with way too much cheese in it, hardly any onions and 11 chips. Drink was a can of coke. Not value for money at all. Will not be visiting again. Don't know where they got the good reviews from, must be family,or they paid people.

i dont even wanna give them one star the staff was very rude and moody, disgusting attitude. lettuce was brown found tin foil in food. the manager argued with me and insulted me and said " i own the cafe if i wanna be rude i will be" wouldnt recommend at all.

Disgusting and much more expensive food served poorly. Washed cutlery incomplete. I ordered an omelette with cheese and onion ... it was actually inedible. They do not have to cook. The worst dib restaurant all the time. I do not recommend it to you.

Friendly and helpful staff quality food and a good range plentiful seating clean outside smoking area exalent for a quick coffee while waiting for a bus or a full meal and meeting new friends

Disgusting attitudes of the staff and disgusting food. I got a cheese and onion toastie and the onion is cut into big chunks and it's made me feel sick cause of the amount they put in, half an onion it looks like after having to take it out. Who does that?! Not happy. Then on top of that the hot chocolate was gross. Wasted my money and time. I'll remember to go to gregg next time!
