Cafe Damoa in Barnet

I am quite surprised at some of the reviews. I had a good experience. Small cosy place comprising Asian cuisine from bubble tea to poke, sushi and more. Clean. Limited number of tables. I had the bibimbap with tofu which was really nice. Generous in portion size and ingredients. Freshly made, well presented and tasty. Service was good. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Would recommend.

Never eaten here but always got bubble tea from this place as a takeaway. A small place but has a variety of options. The bubble tea is put together in front of you, sealed and provided in a takeaway cup. Lovely flavours.

Waitress more far more occupied talking with her boyfriend who was seated at the front of the restaurant listing to videos on his mobile phone very loudly I was the only person in the restaurant I ordered king prawn tempura curry . HUGE FAIL . 3 frozen barely deep fried limp prawns ..a 1/3 of a cup of sticky rice , iceberg lettuce and lots of sweet sticky sauces . I asked for either some fresh chilli or chilli sauce … Nope ! A meal that is only memorable because it was so awful. Def not value for money . I won’t be going back …

We had waited the food for more than 45 min but the food came out cold. No compensation except refund. No sincere apologies.

Delicious food, quick, efficient, courteous service. My new fav local spot, can't wait to check out the rest of the menu.

I (of Asian origin) went with my 2 young kids to get bubble tea from Damoa. The Caucasian woman at the till finished serving 2 Caucasian males without masks. Before I got to the till I was told to wear a mask or I will not get served. Honest mistake for leaving my mask at home or so I thought... however, she had just served 2 people without masks. I brought this up, she said they are eating in... bull. Honestly, If it wasn't for my daughter, I would have walked away. Anyways, I left my children outside the shop and covered my face with my jumper and made an order. While waiting, a delivery driver ... without a mask may I add, walked in to Damoa, talked to the woman at the till and left with delivery. No complaints about not wearing a mask. So just the Asian man needs a mask then? After I got my takeaway, I complained to the management and she just shrugged her shoulders. Obviously, she was either prejudice (racist) herself or did not care about customer service. Either way I hope you consider this account of mistreatment, before ordering from here.

been a few times both solo and with young kids. great value fusion food fit for everyone. what sets the place apart from the normal run of the mill fusion cafes are the really friendly and informative staff One staff member in particular made sure my kids were well informed and entertained. when I went on my own obv diff vibe as it was more to fill a very satisfying food hole. well done to Bee and the staff

If there will be a zero star i would have given that.. We ordered for us family and was really looking forward to it as we were very hungry. The food that arrived is appalling. The miso soup was sent to us in a foam cup and a sachet of miso to be put a hot water on it? I mean come on. Calamari is disgusting very rubbery and obviously not fresh. the avocado maki looked like its been made by a kid as its not even sticking together. The chicken wings are full of sugar- its just not a very nice experience for a family dinner.. waste of our money. Almost £90 for nothing, will Not even try to order from them again. Better find another one!

Went here for dinner , service was a bit slow, one course to the next took quite a bit of time, The waitress was very hard working, needs back up and faster service for the customers, It can be a good restaurant but needs work from management .

Just basic food staff are rude prices are high it’s close to Golders Green station which is convenient tho

I buy bibimbap at Damoa regularly. The dish used to taste fresh, soft & I enjoyed having it every week. However, recently the quality of bibimbap got worse and today the food smelt unfresh and rice seemed to be from a day before (it also was orange not white, as if it was moved from another dish containing sauce). I am really disappointed.

It's right there on our high street and someone recommended the bubble tea highly enough for me to enter this place, which otherwise I had not given a second look. The kids, the cousins travelling from abroad, the friends - we all were a big group alright and we ordered almost every type of bubble tea there was amongst us. I didn't see the what the big deal was, it was ok. The tapioca pearls made it a sensory experience, otherwise it was just another drink to me. I don't think I'll be going back again.

Non avendo mai assaggiato prima il poke, l'offerta del locale ha incuriosito me e il mio ragazzo. Il cameriere è stato molto gentile e disponibile a guidarci nella scelta dei nostri piatti. Nel complesso posso dire di avere apprezzato la loro cucina sebbene non mi abbia particolarmente entusiasmato.

Awful food quality, portion size and freshness. Questionable meat product. Overall feel robbed and would not order again. Would take a refund if possible. Steer clear.

The place was really dirty and smelt only of old cooking oil. I ordered a bubble tea - that came without bubbles! They are apparently 'extra' and called 'toppings'! Bizarre. The 'welcome' plate of pickles included a slice of orange that was dried out and shrivelling. The fried chicken bore no resemblance to any Korean chicken I've ever eaten: it was microwaved and smothered in a gloopy sweet and sour sauce that you might get in a cheap pub. The restaurant was really dirty, the woman behind the counter where you order and pay was unhelpful and bad tempered and there are no 'public restrooms' - so no toilets and nowhere to wash your hands. Very disappointing all together.

I was sceptical due to some of the poor reviews, however I visited with a friend of mine and it proved to be a rather nice experience. The food was brilliant, alongside the cosy and quiet atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Just spent 14.90 on Chicken Katsu Curry and Katsu Fried Rice. Both pieces of chicken were severely under cooked. I shall not be returning.

I get a takeaway Poke Bowl and sushi all the time from here, super yummy and fresh. The Bibambap is good too !

Hi, We went here for dessert after visiting the sister restaurant Spicy Grill. We had a green matcha ice cream sundae and a mango bingsu. Cost 12 pounds in total and was pretty awful with them looking nothing like the pictures!

Absolutely stunning venue, simplicity at its finest and food at its best. Beautifully presented and staff communication and customer service delivery was impeccable.

Went to this cute little cafe with a couple of friends. The atmosphere is really quirky with great music and seating arrangement. Ordered Bingsu and bubble tea. The dessert was really great, definitely recommend. Will be coming back soon.

Popped in here for a solo lunch after doing some shopping for groceries and was pleasantly surprised by the nice deco and further impressed by the friendly Korean staff manning the cashier. Food was well presented be served fast! Selections are good and prices reasonable....
