Great value cafe and very tasty food. Right next to the park so perfect for kids and a much better breakfast than what is served at the Hilton next door. Friendly staff and good location for the kids to burn energy.

Visited for the first time today. Was shocked to overhear one of the staff make an elderly couple get up and move tables because they were sat at a 'doggy' table without a dog. After 45mins, the same woman came over and told me I needed to move because I was sat at a non-doggy table with a dog. I then moved to the end of the room she had directed me to, only to then be told that wasnt a doggy table either. I clarified which tables I was allowed to sit at - she pointed to the 4 occupied tables, and suggested I ask if I can share a table with one of them. It was that ridiculous it had customers laughing. I left and headed to cafe nero 😒

First time we've been and would definitely go back. Good food and good coffees at a reasonable price. The staff were very pleasant . Not much parking though.

Excellent restaurant to eat or drink. Lovely in the morning with the sun coming through the windows. Very good and efficient service. We had a BLT panini, it came with salad, very yummy and a ham salad with big chunks of ham, one egg, coleslaw and salad with tomato. Very well done!

Ridiculous prices, we ordered a choc cake, beans on toast (cheapest bread), bacon and egg roll, tea, x2 coffee and a hot chocolate...hardly any change from £40 ! If the food tasted good you wouldnt mind but it literally is basic bog standard. They do not take cash (wonder why) either and cash machine outside the building takes £1.99 per transaction. Maybe ideal for a dog but I certainly wont be back

Excellent dog cafe, food & drinks were delicious. The staff were very welcoming & friendly.

Cafe is nice, food is good & reasonable. On our visit, the atmosphere was soured by the attitude of the manager who got irate over some water she thought was spilt by a dog & suggested they could be bad. That is all very well, but she needs to think about the impact a decision like that would have on trade as it is clearly a popular venue for dog walkers.

Very disappointed after 3 days of visiting on our fourth and final visit of our holiday , some other customers started an argument with me over my assisstance dog , we were sat and told by a member of staff we need to move from where we were sitting as she wanted to mop the floor this I'm sure could have been done after we were finished and she could have done the rest as we were were right on the end by the doors to shoe shop where we have sat each visit luckily free each time , i asked if we could have a moment but she said no so we moved everything over to a different table this caused my young grandchild to be upset who has major anxiety i was dealing with her when my young dog who is still under some training went up to someone and tried to get attention, as soon as I was aware of this I said sorry but the woman laid in to me upsetting my little one more and pushed my dog away I tired to explan I was sorry but the woman just got very loud and rude and would not let me explane telling me I was not controlling my dog , not once did any staff offer any asstance after all it was staff that had disrupted us if we had been allowed to continue to remain in one place this would not have happend , people should be made aware more that it is a dog freindy cafe and if your not dog friendly go else where the staff need some training and manners the dirty look one staff member gave me was so rude it was not me that had shouted and disruption caused it was the customer that was sat not made to move I say again if we were not told to move tables my little one would not have been upset and I would not have had to deal with sorting us out and my dog would have been still as she had and all visits not had a problem, I understand the other customer really did not understand what assisstance dog really means there are different resions you have one , but still thinking was made to be in the wrong and left to stop anymore upset for both my granddaughter and other customers, as I left shaking and upset i made a apologies to the staff and other customers but just looked at like i was pure dirt i struggled with the door a little kindness goes along way, so disappointed somewhere we visit so often each time we come up because it dog freindy mostly to be treated like this .

This is a wonderful spot to enjoy the sea views and delicious food and drink. Scrumptious selection of cakes and treats. Great selection of hot and cold drinks. Easy access for wheel chairs with spacious indoor and outside seating.

It's OK here, no particular complaints about the food or drink, however they do not take cash (even in the age of Covid) and point you to their £1.99 per transaction cash machine outside the front door once you've ordered. It can make a coffee and cake quite expensive with this added: about £8.50. You can take a dog in there, but there are other dog-friendly cafes in Blackpool which are better, friendlier, and cheaper. Upside Down and Caffè Nero to name 2 of those I visited also.

Thought I’d pop in for a coffee with the dogs on my way home as it was cold and breezy out after our walk only to find the don’t take cards only cash, it says on there info online NFT payment, obviously not. Thought this was the 21st century again obviously not.

Next level ignorance at this place walked in with all the intentions of having food and a brew but wanted to use the toilet first only to be greeted with the most rude woman I've ever had the decency of meeting got notting but verbal abuse about then she had the audacity to say a thankyou wouldn't go a miss....for what you bombarding me as soon I've I come though the door.....safe to be said I used the loo and drove off....if you read this please just drive past them and let the place go out of business customer service means everything

Miserable young staff don't know about customer service with a smile. Had luke warm coffee and dry cake tasted like it was sat on the counter a long time. Not very busy cafe this is supposed to be an Italian cafe not very impressive 😕

Rude and ignorant staff who spent more time on their mobile phones than geting our order correct leaving our son and my partner without food. When we complained spent all their time saying we hadnt payed for the children's meal rather than rectifying the situation by geting the food we ordered. Absolute shambles avoid!!

What a disappointing sad breakfast that was for £7.95. I may as well gone in the arcades and got a cheap one. It probably would of been much nicer than that .

Looks can be deceiving for this place. Service/staff were rude and arrogant, atmosphere was miserable, food was cheap tasting and looking, everyone who worked there seem to have a chip on there shoulder, a smelly dog would have made the place more bearable but unfortunately there was none in when we was there. Waste of money. Get a chippy instead, theres a good one over the road, with toilets!

Really reliable great cafe food at a great price. Yes they enforce their covid rules but that's not rude, they have to to stay open and it keeps us all safe. Love it!

Can't quite understand the negative reviews about this cafe. 🤔 Most of the other places we tried to go to, who state that they are "dog friendly" aren't ! 😠. If you are in Blackpool, have a dog with you and want some decent cafe food and a place to chill out for a wee while, we think Chicco's is the place to be.👍 From us and the dog 🐾😁

I’ve visited the Cafe on the 26/02/2020 and the way the owner spoke to us (as we were here for a course) was absolutely disgraceful. As for the food I can’t really comment as I didn’t get the chance to eat as I was very disappointed in her mannerism.

Been here today for a coffee break I had latte daughter had caramel latte and two grandsons had a chocolate cake which they said was delicious staff were friendly and helpful would definitely go back

Great little cafe ,we always visit when we are at Blackpool, I didn't get a chance to visit this time around as I arrived at 16.20 and was informed "WE ARE CLOSED"whiched shocked me as the sign outside said open from 09.30 -17.00

Took my grand daughter for lunch, they do a reasonable children's box and i had a rather nice toasty. Prices are good. Staff polite. Toys inside to occupy children is a nice touch and on nice days a little park outside too.Fabulous dog friendly tables is the icing on the cake, but if you don't like dogs you can get a table a safe distance From them on the other side

I live in blackpool so when ever my family or friends bring their dog we like to call in here...not many dog friendly places left in blackpool.This place is nice and warm.plenty of tables.The chicco hot chocolate is lovely.foods reasonable to eat.staff are nice ..the grounds outside are kept clean and tidy with a play park in it too.Would recommend this place even if you dont have a dog..

Lovely cafe ! Took our two dogs for cake and tea during illuminations. Best cup of tea in Blackpool. Staff very friendly. Would have given 5 stars but when we called for breakfast the next day we were faced with a grumpy member of staff who said he might be open in a half hour or it could be longer! He let the team down! We did eventually get breakfast at 10am which was delicious xx

We visit on occasion as a family to the cafe at the Solaris centre and we regulary enjoy the gardens and swings for the kids.Firstly I was short changed by £2 by a girl who was short in height and who never smiled at me. I only noticed when I got home. I was quite annoyed as I always tip the service everytime.Secondly when we asked if the food was on a young girl who wasn't particulary pleasant said it finishes at 4pm. The time was 3.55pm. It wasn't so much that we were late it was the way she informed us. A better way of putting it might have been 'I am really sorry the kitchen closes at 4pm' would have been better. Might I suggest if the food finishes at this time the menu's are removed from the tables as to avoid confusion with the customers.It only takes a couple of bad apples in a group of a well mannered staff team to ruin a businesses reputation. Unfortunately I think this extends to some of the managerial roles as well.

Pretty poor service, messed up my order, said I could pay the difference to get the right order (50p) then said I couldn't pay via card as £5 minimum after I just placed an order for £8.75 that got mis-processed, pretty disappointing experience

Just to let all our lovely customers know. Cafe Chicco on the green no longer exists. We are now Caffe C ltd at the Solaris Centre, we are no longer affiliated with Caffe Chicco on the prom opposite Central Pier. We offer a different menus and a very friendly bunch of girls. We welcome anyone to come and join us with a reasonably priced menue, children's area and seating inside for customers with dogs.

A huge bonus is that dogs are welcome here, there is an easily accessible disabled toilet and there is a lovely, homely atmosphere. It's cheap and cheerful and the food is excellent value for money. The Ham, Egg and Chips is proper comfort food, and the full English really hits the spot. Of course it's not fine dining, but it's a good cafe in a great location with pleasant outdoor seating for warm summer days. I like to go there to sit in one of the comfy chairs and read or study. Love it.

Regular visitor when in the area - and cannot fault it for quality and friendliness Highly recommended.As a reference to an earlier negative review I believe the writer was mistaken re the Venue as there is no shoe shop next to it (or any shops)

Good food, nice place. Ruined only by the fact that my food order was wrong and when i asked to change it, the snotty waitress came out and argued with me and accused me of not knowing what i ordered. Im very sorry if you had a heavy night last night love, but that isnt my fault. You should NEVER stroppily argue with a customer, even if you think they are wrong (i wasnt btw) bad customer service purely on that score. Shame really, cos the food was nice, but im on holiday, and i dont expect to be treated like an idiot by a jumped up farty little smeghead whose ego far outstrips her abilities. Go work in a chicken factory love, unless you dont know the difference between chicken and cheese ;) peace x

The coffee was piping hot. They didn't take card. Staff were slow.

Lovely little place, clean. Nice breakfast. Separate area for you and ur dogs. Obviously not as cheap as ur average wetherspoons but worth the little extra to take my dogs in.

Very clean lovely cafe! Full English for my boyfriend was super and they asked if he would like to swap any items because he didn't like tomatoes. I had egg on toast which was cooked to how I'd asked. Coffee is made from beans and lovely! Staff were quite young and pleasent but maybe could try to keep there own opinions/personal conversations a little more discreet? Nevertheless they were very nice and made good breakfast!

Just adjacent to The Carousal hotel where we were staying, Based in what appears to be small office units so hidden from view the cafe is to the rear facing a small park and child's play area, We only had tea / coffee and scones but the cafe offered a large choice of cold and cooked meals from small snacks to full plates, very reasonable prices and and decent looking. I would defiantly pay a visit on my next trip for lunch.

El café en sí es luminoso y ventilado, tiene dos mesas aparte para las personas que tienen perros que no quieres dejar fuera, me quedé muy impresionado con eso. El personal es acogedor y amable. Es un precio muy razonable, con una buena selección de bebidas y aperitivos. También hay un área de juegos para los niños, también una zona de juegos exterior. En general, una cafetería muy agradable, la única queja que tengo, es que nunca fuimos antes de hoy, nuestro último día en Blackpool.

The cafe doesn't take card payments, staff incredibly slow and tables that are wonky, which if you tell the staff just put a bit of cardboard until one of the legs. The table in question was right next to a little kids table for colouring in. Imagine if a hot drink on the table went all over a child!

Live in nearby St. Annes but sometimes have a drive down to South Shore to take the dog for a walk along the prom. Found this dog friendly cafe which is part of the Solaris eco centre and have been in several times over the last few weeks. It offers a good range of things to eat at very reasonable prices (the English breakfast is huge and includes toast and hot drink). The coffee is always very nice and a fraction of the cost of the chain coffee houses. It's clean, the staff are polite and friendly plus you can't beat the prices so please give them your custom if you are in the area - a place that deserves to succeed!

We really enjoyed our full English breakfasts here recently. There were plenty of other options too for breakfast and you could order what you want off the list for a full English breakfast as well. The staff and the manageress were very friendly and helpful. We came here as we were not able to book breakfast at our hotel so this worked out very well for us especially as it was quite a bit cheaper too.

Allows dogs in so humans can eat, fabulous clean place and reasonably priced. Not many places like this. One to visit if you have dogs

Situated on the South Promenade Blackpool directly opposite the Glitter Ball Sculpture, this Cafe is a hidden gem. The cafe is at the rear of the building and overlooks a grassed area and a playground for small children with the usual equipment. Parents good enjoy food and drink whilst the little ones play. There is a good selection of light snacks, breakfasts, etc and everything we had was firstly delicious and secondly reasonable. Considering this is right on the Promenade and only a short walk to the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where food and drink is far more expensive, I would head here for my refreshments. A nice atmosphere, very relaxed and friendly staff.

I have visited this cafe a few times before out of convenience and thought the young girls and manager Are very rude. I saw then eating whilst serving and the manager was just so rude and unwelcoming. Although I visited this week and another lady was there which I didn't recognise and was extremely helpful.

This is our fourth visit to this Cafe in about three years.It's the Cafe we make for when our walks take us to that end of the Promenade.We can use the toilet facilities and take light refreshments.On each visit we have been totally satisfied with what we have found.The toilets have been spotlessly clean or we would have left immediately.In the Cafe area itself we have always found a clean table to sit at.Our choice of menu, a coffee and a cake and a pot of tea have always been pleasantly served to us.On our last visit last weekend we had a latte, a homemade mince pie with sponge topping, and a pot of tea,all quite delicious.I cannot understand some of the previous comments made by some visitors, but we speak as we find.We will return.

We stopped off for a little coffee in cafe chicco. Everything was reasonably prices. I got a massive chocolate éclair and a caramel coffee and they were amazing. The tables and the place was a little bit of a dump but overall it was good. Just needs a little clean.

Cycle here quite often just for the reward of the coffee and cake deal, any cake with cream, all of excellent quality ( eg, homemade scones etc) all for £ 2.50.thankyou.

Had a pleasant still along the promenade this morning and then decided to stop for morning coffee... Pleasant surroundings, catering for a variety of needs but sadly lacked any enthusiasm from the four members of staff who were busy chatting behind the counter rather than serving and smiling at customers... The phase 'could not give a toss' springs to mind, this place could be a little gold mine with the right staff..

Decent coffee and cake with inside and outside seating opposite the south pier. Outside seating is enclosed with barriers. Also do other snack foods and drinks although I can't comment on those-they looked nice though.

Popped in for a coffee and sandwich today. Young guy behind the counter very courteous and helpful which made up for the just adequate surroundings. Other than this young man the rest of the staff did not have a clue and in my opinion went out of their way to be rude and curt to customers.

I was on a 2 day course at the Solaris Centre and decided to have lunch at Cafe Chicco. The staff were extremely rude with appalling attitudes. The food was poor and I wasn't even given what I ordered. I asked for a bacon and cheese panini and was given a chicken and bacon Mayo panini with the filling dripping out everywhere. Will not be going back there again!

staff more concerned about their phones than serving customers stood for a good couple of minutes before anyone even noticed I was at the counter. When I was severed staff still on their phones and talking to each other. When I pointed this out in a polite manner they where rude as if I was in the wrong. One order was mixed up and came cold. Me and my family have visited in the past this time was different will not be returning.

I visited this Cafe 17/07/14 and was appauled by the treatment given by the Manageress. I was on holiday with my mother( wheel chair user) and she asked me to take her to the toilet. I asked the Mangeress for the key and I had to return to her again and ask for the key for the disabled toilet. She snapped back at me in a horrible rude loud voice saying that I DIDNT ASK FOR THAT!!
