we visited this cafe for a week, we were visiting our son, but just having a new baby could not accommodate us, he told us of a few cafes on the high street, but as we walked past they did not advertise breakfast and looked very upmarket, we came across Chicchi near the end of the high street and decided to give it a go, staff very friendly, food cooked to order, nothing was too much trouble, we tried one of the other cafes for a light breakfast, we were not impressed, we have told our son about this cafe, he hadn’t realised it was there, we will be back on our next visit.

Visited for my first time today although family had been before. It was busy outside so we sat in. Big choice on menu. Food portions were big, although I didn't like the chips. Had a doggy bag for my daughter.

We visited this cafe on a sunny day and it was nice to have some outdoor seating, with parasols available. There is a varied menu with something for everyone. Prices seem average for the area and food/drink offered. We ordered two large veggie breakfasts however the smaller sized ones arrived, this wasn't really a problem for us as we weren't in a rush, the chef cooked more portions and brought them out so we ended up with a few extra plates but nothing bad. We ordered brown toast and it was white seeded bread, however it was nice enough so we didn't send it back. Very lightly toasted. I have had a few veggie breakfasts elsewhere and this seemed quite average really. To say there was no meat it would have been nice to have fresh mushrooms instead of the canned/jarred variety. I felt overall some of the ingredients were on the cheap side and could have been better. Our waitress was pleasant but we did need to ask for a table wipe.

There are lots of coffee shops along the high street, but the people who run this place are helpful, polite and always smile !

toilet needs serious attention. Salt beef was tasteless. When mentioning toilet was told they would give it a clean whereas it needs a complete overhaul

We sat outside in Wanstead's pleasant High Street. Our frappe and latte took a little while to come. Latte was find but the frappe mocha tasted a bit powdery. Not bad overall but other places in Wanstead are probably preferable for coffee.

Food - Ordered breakfast and the bread and butter was not toasted. Egg tasted odd to say the least and the Vegetarian sausage is the worst I have had. Took them ages to serve and the cafe was not full at the time. Left most of the breakfast, the only redeeming feature was the coffee. Service - The waitresses were far from attentive, more interested in talking amongst themselves. Needless to say I did not leave a tip! Next time I am walking across the street to Cafe Brunch for breakfast.

My friend and I ordered a takeaway from here last Tuesday. Staff were very friendly and attentive. She had the salted beef bagel and I had a chicken and pesto panini with cheese and two smoothies. The smoothies were not fresh, and were very watery as if it had been poured from a carton. My friend loved his bagel and couldn’t fault it. However, my panini looked appealing but when I bit into it, there was an awful taste and jellied texture. When opening it up I found that the chicken was congealed and transparent. Obviously I couldn’t eat my lunch and went without. Such a shame, wouldn’t return.

Big menu with lack of healthy choices, as most of the things have sauces or fatty ingredients. The pasta dishes are a bit overpriced, but sandwiches are good value for money. Staff is very friendly but be prepare to wait 20 minutes for your food.

I've been here 3 times now and really can't praise them highly enough. They have set breakfast meals and every time I've been here I have asked to swap things out and there is no problem. Service comes with a smile and it's reasonably priced.

i was in the area when i stumbled across this little cute independent shop. As i hate the other big brand chain stores. so i thought i would give a try. worse mistake. 1st the service was really poor. no interaction. the guy even tried to short change me. so when i confronted him he look annoyed and slammed my change on the work top. 2nd my food came cold and my coffee was extremely hot. as if had burnt the milk. coffee tasted horrible. when i tried to explain he was not bothered. AVOID AT ALL COST

Stopped here with our dog for a quick coffee. Sat outside and watched the world stroll by. Lovely friendly staff and a Hot Chocolate that was actually hot and delicious. Would have stayed for lunch if we would have had time as food/menu looked tasty.

My friend and I stumbled across this little gem by accident. The staff was very friendly and the menu looked good. As I went up to order, I noticed some scones on display and I couldn't help but change my order to a scone and a vanilla milkshake (why not treat myself of a hot day) Both the items were amazingly delicious. I honestly was so happy. It's worth a visit definitely.

Real Italian food. I have been twice for the toasted sandwiches which are fab. Next visit will be hot pasta dish that smelled wonderful. Quiet and quite small, but perfectly formed!

My worst pub experience. Instantly regretted walking in - a locals pub. Racially harassed my partner - the landlord did nothing to help. Came away feeling very threatened. Unless you know people in there - do not go in

This is the second time I have visited this cafe. My elderly Mum wanted the prawn jacket potato with extra cost melted cheese underneath. A waiter came up to tell us he thought this was a terrible idea and why would any one do this … it would be horrible. He Eventually, he went away and we finished the meal which was ok, but nothing special. I enjoyed catching up with my Mum who was in a wheelchair and hard of hearing. I was explaining some emails to her and enlarging them so she could read them - probably on 6 people in the cafe and none seated near us. Same waiter returned saying I was talking too much and he wouldn’t be able to stand it - why were we talking so much … he then proceeded to dominate the conversation telling us what he thought. He wouldn’t let me continue talking to her, and I gave up and asked for the bill to leave. Domineering, bossy, entitled misogyny completely out of time and place and ruined my time with her due to this spoilt brat needing attention and thinking his role as a man meant he could just interrupt and dominate. Complete clown who needs serious customer skills training. He wouldn’t have done this if it was two men sitting eating and talking. The same water
