Cafe Bismilla in Bradford

We had the buffet, there was not too much choice. Chicken wings smelt bad, were cold and not nice at all. Fish pakoras were okay. Chicken tikka botis were not nice and cold. Seekh and shami kebabs were okay. Chips were old and stale. Garlic bread was nice. Rice and biryani were not nice at all. Not much deserts, only 3. Gulab jaamans were pretty nice. Overall food is not good, cost £70 for 7 ppl with no drinks included.

Please avoid going to this place or booking it for events , save yourself the trauma .By far it is below the standards of health and hygiene. The food was just as awful as the staff. 0 on the hospitality,0 on the food ,0 on the event management.AVOID and go somewhere else , there are plenty more places to go to in Bradford where you will not be disappointed . The owner definitely needs to start making fresh food at the very least , it is a danger to the public.

Absolute joke of a place to have an event, had my sister’s mendhi here the stage people arrived late 45 minutes which delayed everything for us i understand 5 extra people came and we didn’t mind paying but when we want to finish off my sisters mendhi they had a fit and wanted £200 extra and said we were asking for extra but the stage people came late so how are we to blame, acted rude all about it will NOT recommend this place to anyone at all full joke…

We ate here today and food was spot on though variety are not that big, there were food for all ages. Price wise, taste wise and service were excellent. We'll definitely come back again. Place is highly recommended.

Was quite on a week day. We were the only table. They made food fresh for the buffet. And basically made food fresh to our needs. £12 a head for buffet would return.

I had a bad experience at this restaurant. I arrived for buffet at 8:50pm on 14th february and after asking if they had starters on menu they said that they definitely had them but while we started putting our salad we were told there was no starters left and that they couldnt make more so we had to leave the restaurant with embarassment. we should have been told that there is no starters while we arrived instead of later. The restaurant shouldnt accept customers if they cant serve them.

Horrible place with horrible lay out and the food was minus zero quality, 3 different deserts which looked horrible .the ice cream u have to ask for and it’s been frozen for like 10 years u need to warm it up, horrible over priced moctails .guys don’t fall for low price buffet ,this place is dead inside with dead food

Toilets weren’t clean no toilet role in any cubicle what a shambles I wish I read the reviews before I went. I’ve had a bad stomach after eating from there.

We went with our family. food was OK.us women know when food is off.and doesn't taste right.we can tell when the oil is dirty. And they charge our 16 month old baby £5 and everybody knows how much a baby can eat.every where else under 4 is free.and they charge for under 5 £5.that is unfair. They will lose customer bcoz off this stupid move.

I wanted to share my recent experience dining at your establishment with a group of friends who were visiting from out of town. Unfortunately, I must say that we were extremely disappointed with the service and the quality of our meal. The service was incredibly slow, and it seemed like the staff were inattentive. The food took an unreasonably long time to be served, and it was evident that it had been reheated multiple times as the rice, in particular, did not taste fresh at all. Furthermore, the atmosphere was far from welcoming. The owners' behavior, standing near the counter and appearing to count customers, was rather intimidating. Additionally, one of the waiters displayed a consistently moody and annoyed attitude, which made our dining experience uncomfortable. I regret to say that I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone based on our experience. We had high hopes for a pleasant meal with friends, but this visit left us with a negative impression.

Went today for a meal with my Family. The food was good. Starters was nice, mains was good too. Desserts was not great as we were told that we could have ordered ice cream if we went to order it but this was told as we were leaving . Also was strange as we had our baby who is below 1 year old and was charged for his buffet (he ate only 3 chips) and I had to pay £5 for that which I think is quite Unfair.

Tried the buffet wide range of starters which were fantastic, the tarka dall and Nan, rice were outstanding. Next time will also try desserts. Reasonable prices service very good, liked decor especially waterfall, plenty of parking available.

The place was very quiet only 2 other tables in and food on buffet was very dry and tasteless because it’s been sat there for a while.the shocking moment was when the waiter (kid) came up to me and ask me how old my daughter was i replied she turned 1 few weeks ago he replied we have to charge £5 for her lol she had 1 chip in her hand the whole time I was there she doesn’t even have teeth lol but I didn’t want to argue because if that’s their rule let it be.if that £5 makes them rich overnight good on them but I definitely won’t be going back there again.

Came here with a group, ordered a Tava food was terrible, lamb chops were like biting into a stone, wings were cold, niblets were cold and as hard as a rock. There was no customer service at all, no plates tissues or sauces given. When we complained did not even get an simple apology. A big disappointment.

First impressions when I walked in, was alright, it was cramped, the buffet area is right at the seating area, cutlery was dirty, just a quick rinse no soap or anything, the food was luke warm, the chicken was off, not any variety, about 3 curries out and that’s it, food was revolting, felt physically sick after eating it and my brother left a present in the bathroom at home, he got. FOOD POISON AND VOMITED, HIS STOMACH HURTS, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING, WORST NIGHT OUT EVER , he said the chicken was off. I wanted to go to the toilet and I had to go out the resturaunt and into the wedding venue and up the stairs, what a hassle, interrupted another event and the atmosphere left me uncomfortable. When it came to paying, I had my card ready but it appears they don’t accept card payments only cash, I wonder why,

Food was cold ,there were hair in the dishes, had to wait 15 minutes for chip and then 10mins for pizza, waited for main dishes , rice was hard , service was appalling, the owner did not care about anything other than our money , the water they served was tap water in bottle's that they claimed bottled mineral water , which they pre open for customers, wouldn't recommend and won't be goin there again, what a disappointment,

I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. Now I know why it's a cheap buffet; there's hardly any food there to eat. The food that was available was cold, raw and tasteless. The worst thing was we found a hair in the one of the sweet dishes that completely put me off and made my stomach turn. A complete disappointment. Really think they should just close down before someone gets seriously ill by eating their food.

We thought that £10 for a buffet these days is an absolute steal. The food was absolutely atrocious. Everything from the starters to the main even the drink!! Was at least 3 days old just reheated. When I asked for tap water they said they don't serve it which is rubbish as it's law to serve tap water for free. We found 2 hairs on two separate things the chicken drumsticks and the chicken tikkah. I wouldn't even eat here even if they paid me!

I visited cafe bismillah with a friend on Saturday.I originally came to view the hall that they have for a function that I have coming up.We intended on buying the buffet but had to wait 20 minutes for the food to be prepared.There was a girl waiter who was putting food in the buffet and coughed all over it which had put me off.Also while I was on my table I was calling the girl waiter over so that I could order extra drinks for but she was in a world of her own.The boy waiter had to come over from the till and take our drink order after he was taking a payment and once he had told her that the table was calling her,she did not say anything and after she had just kept on pulling faces at us.Definitely do not recommend this place I won’t be visiting again

It's ok, decent amount of food options. You get a small tub of ice cream that's obviously the cheapest possible vanilla ice cream from supermarket. 5 years and above is £8 which is too much really but £14 for adults is a good price so averages out. If you live close by, it's worth a visit.

Give you old bottles of water where you can tell the sealed lid has been removed. They refill and sell £2 a bottle back to the next customer.

Had my sons dholki night here absolutely amazing service and food was great like always party hall was lovely will defo be booking again they also did some catering for the wedding day which was amazing such lovely family business

I had my little girls birthday party, absolute disaster can not belive how unprofessional they are. We had originally told them we have guests 36 guests but on the day we had 28. When we first booked the party the owner said if u have less or over ppl we will sort it out after the party when it came to paying the owner expected us to pay for 36 ppl when we had 28 robbing gits. The food was below average making u wait ages for starters so ppl get fed up and finish there food. I wish I had gone else where. Totally destroyed my girls birthday. Lamb chops come in thin pieces, drenched in oil. Chicken, Meat masala bland. Went to pay, owner said card machine not working for over a week, no warning or signs up to pay cash. Should provide water but had to ask.

Service was absolutely shocking. We attended a dholki/mendhi here and all the waitress had a face on. They were told repeatedly yet ignored us, they gave attitude to the family who were paying them. I would not recommend this place to anyone! My first and last visit here. It was by far the worst experience me & my family have ever had when eating out! I will let everyone else know to stay clear of this place unless they want to have a traumatic experience. A couple of the food options were nice however we received horrendous customer service from the waiters & staff which was awful and has resulted in us not wanting to return a second time. They are not professional or respectful at all! We paid for buffet for 4 and they would not let us fill our plates or eat without staring at my family horribly, giving dirty looks, judging and passing nasty comments between themselves about us and other customers that were there too. Just full on rude, disrespectful and totally ruined our evening out, I recommend absolutely anywhere other than this place.

I went to this restaurant for a buffet today went home starving. Hardly any food to eat, absolutely shocking! Taking over an hour to refill the food and when they do they bring out portion for 5 year old so quickly taken by others, so then you’re waiting another hour for next batch. As per reviews seems like it’s a tactic they using regularly refiling the cheap stuff only like chips, nuggets and pizza. Honestly this is the Worse place I have ever been too! PLEASE EVERYONE I recommend you ovoid and stick to euros and get burger meal :)

Good for the price, we visited just before Xmas. I think we were the first people in, staff were very welcoming. Although we didn’t enjoy everything on offer, there were enough dishes available to keep our party of 4 happy. The Missus really enjoyed the fruit custard / trifle thing.

I would highly recommend this establishment. I struggle to get my head around the negative feedback left by others, myself and my family were treated with the upmost respect. However some of the more popular buffet items did run out very quick and we were left waiting, at one point there were no plates either! Based on my experience I would say the staff need to be abit more organised and abit more fast pace.

Food quality was awful, dry and old food, only 1-2 starters were fresh and owner watched viciously as we helped ourselfs and made me feel very uncomfortable, he then got angry and started shouting at family members IN FRONT of children and even told us to not come back to the resaraunt. Would not recommend don't waste your money here.

I went for the first time today with my family. The male service was horrendous. They were rude and disrespectful. It was an unpleasant atmosphere to eat in. They were very stingy with the lamb chops and got very frustrated easily with us customers due to our portions of food. Would definitely not recommend.

What a buffet. Food very poor. Tasted like last week's Christmas leftovers. Lamb chops were nice. But you will only get one or two because they bring out 10 chops every 30 minutes. 30 people waiting. The experience was awful. The waiter was really disrespectful to me and my kids. We had to wait 30 mins for the portion of lamb chops to be served between the whole floor and a portion of 15 lamb champs came every 30 mins and expected each family member to have a small portion of lamb chops and once we ate more than a few the waiter got really rude and arrogant and threatened me in front of the whole floor. Would not recommend for food. Not worth the hassle and spoiled a family day out on New Year's.

I am definitely not one to leave a review and in all honesty my intention is not to badmouth the company at all. But I have never seen people in the restaurant industry become physical with customers. I won’t say who but one person not the owner himself assaulted my family member. The discussion was heated but nowhere near physical. I went with family and my children. It was a truly traumatic experience.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the owners and staff of this establishment. I personally witnessed an incident today where the staff were physically and verbally abusive towards a couple with very young children. Constant shouting and swearing towards them even towards the wife. The boss even grabbed the gentleman's shoulder and tried to start a fight.

Went for the buffet, was £12.95 per person. Only thing my family enjoyed was the meat handi and chicken wings. Apart from that food tasted a bit stale and dry. Got wrongly charged for 4 people when it was only 3 of us which one of the guys corrected for us. They charge 10% service fee which customers should be aware of before we entered, which I don’t understand it’s a buffet? We had to get the food ourselves. So what tip are we paying them for? For what service? Overall not worth the money

Firstly, I got told I had to pay a 10% service charge when the service wasn't good as when we asked for stuff we had to wait even though it was quiet. when I went to pay the bill. Be aware no one tells you before as you enter. Second of all, we had to wait 10 minutes for the buffet to be ready. Overall it was overpriced for a small buffet with horrible food, wouldn't recommend.

First time visit to the restaurant with family. Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Delicious food with a variety of dishes and tasty food for the children too. Wonderful experience and will recommend.

If I could give this a zero I would but because of the name I rated it one star so well done on the name! Wow where do i start, as soon as u walk in ur hit with the Broadford accent. The floor felt sticky as if they had been cooking there and all the oil grease had been layering up for months! The food was really really bad! Not ONE thing I can say was even OK...even the water tasted like it was mixed with something...everything tasted OFF! NEVER again ...biggest mistake ...they need to close down!

My first visit was nice,but second visit after calling them still they let us down, they said 2 ppl can adjust, we payed taxi to and fro,never trust this place at all.... it's like a lottery very bad experience ,never trust this place for availability etc!!!...try some other place instead

First time been here with family food is good but service is very bad.

Decided to try out cafe bismillah for a quick meal before heading home after a day out. We placed an order after debating on the buffet or order a meal to the table. We chose the latter. What a dissapointment. The waiter did not inform us that preference is given to the buffet, We waited over 40 minutes for our starters to come, At which the workers were confused thinking we had been served already. Again endless waiting for our main as we watched the workers run back and forth topping up the buffet, at which time I was very emotional as we got up to leave. My partner paid for the starter which we had eaten and the waiter in question had the cheek to say “ I will not charge you for the Salan”( which had not come out) And “if we had a problem we should ring the boss”. My complaint is with this waiter only, as it was he who served us and dealt with us(I will add a name as soon as I’m made aware) I have nothing bad to say about the place, the rest of the young lads who were trying to resolve the situation for us. The food again the starter we had, I have no complaints. Was lovely mashallah A simple mistake but very heavy and hurtful for myself and my family.

Went to Cafe Bismilla with friends to try their buffet. We were impressed! The lamb chops, fish and chicken drumsticks were very tasty. The chicken salan was great too as well as the chicken biryani! Fresh food that waa topped up regularly! Great customer service too. Bargain with their £9.95 offer and is well worth their normal price too! We will be back again!

Top service from the brother called Zafran, he was really polite and professional. Food was outstanding just one problem with it was Luke warm should try using other ways to keep the food hot - compliments to chef 👨‍🍳 then lamb chops were 10/10 amazing
