We have been coming to this lovely cafe for the past 5 years. We love it, but as of late, the pigeons are spoiling what was always a pleasant visit. They are jumping on tables to steal peoples food outside, and today are flying about the inside of the cafe. If nothing is done about this, I’m afraid we will not be visiting the cafe again, as it is a health hazard and a nuisance .

First of all the kitchen was closed. I had checked the website before visiting - no mention of that fact. We did manage to get sandwiches. We sat inside. If you like pigeons walking around your feet, flying over you and wandering over the tables plus barking dogs (who also like chasing the pigeons) then this is the place for you. But not for us. Why they couldn't close the door to at least stop the pigeons I don't know. Food was OK but not cheap.

Overpriced, soggy sandwiches (and I mean really soggy disintegrating slop) and grumpy staff who looked aggrieved to be interrupting their conversation even to take my money. AndI heard other tables complaining, too. Next time - stuff you, English Heritage - I'm bringing a picnic.

This cafe is in a nice setting in the grounds of Chiswick House. The service was fine. But the food was poor. I had flatbread with tahini and humus, a salad and falafel. There were just three rather over-cooked falafels without much taste. A thin coating of tahini and humus was on the flatbread. The flatbread was rubbery and extremely hard to cut or break. Breaking it meant getting your hands messy. Cutting it with a knife and fork was tortuous and very tricky in the cardboard box it was served in. . I picked it up within 60 seconds of the alert device going off. It was luke-warm, as were the fries, as was the pot of tea I bought. After eating the flatbread it felt like a lead weight in my stomach. I think I paid about £17 in total and it was not money well spent.

I do wonder how planning permission was obtained for this very modern building just a stones throw from a Grade 1 listed building. It is a very smart, modern cafe with a smart, modern menu. I once said that when Christopher Lloyd put a bunch of wild flowers in a jam jar it was as far away from a child’s version of that as you could get. A lot of talent goes into looking simple. This is more towards the child’s end of the spectrum. And salty. Why is everything so salty? Loud, loud music and a constant invasion indoors of pigeons who flap about and make the countless dogs bark.

Extremely rude staff and poorly made coffee. Big shame as the location is great next to a really nice English Heritage location. The staff seem to go out of their way to ignore you, looking at you when you ask a question and then just walking away, which happened twice. Will not return again.

We came on a busy Easter Sunday. The waiters were all so very young. Needed someone experienced to help them out. service was extremely slow. Everything was very expensive. Tables were not sanitised regularly. You would think that cleanliness should be a priority in this current climate! It's cheaper to bring your own food!

We were walking around Chiswick House grounds and decided to have coffee and cake. We were ordering when we offered cash, this was rebuffed as we don’t take cash. We were left standing without any other means of payment, we left. I thought money is still legal tender in this country. Companies are still using Covid as an excuse, however my mind runs that they do not trust their employees to take money!!! A sorry state of affairs. We will not support the cafe until they resume taking cash.

Visited this lovely country house with my daughter and ten week old grandson-system is confusing as you order and pay in one que and then collect drinks in another Payed for pre prepared salad water and cake plus coffee then realised that while we had our food I needed to wait in huge que for coffee- my daughter needed help with the baby and so asked if I could cancel coffee and was told no they would have to call for the manager - what a fuss When we already were struggling with a small infant - no sympathy or understanding from what seemed a young inexperienced staff - did not mind expensive prices but would have expected better service from a restaurant brand which on their recruitment poster branded itself as family friendly!!!!!

Staff were friendly and food was of good quality, but my main complaint is the extortionate prices. This place is a complete ripoff (except maybe for rich Chiswickians). A Pastel de Nata costs £2.95, more than 6 times the price of one in Lidl 49p for exactly the same product. A falafel wrap costs £8.50 which costs £3.50 in M & S, with no garnish, just plonked on the plate that you had to collect yourself. Cakes were £3.50 when £2 or £2.50 would be a more reasonable price. I appreciate that one pays more for a meal in a cafe, but not this much more and not much service eithe.r

Enjoyed my coffee and slice of banana cake. Setting is very good with plenty of seating available and great views. Had a lucky escape as noticed (just as I was leaving) that a young child’s party was in process of being set up. This was on a busy Sunday when I visited the House and gardens for the first time. Didn’t think this was a good time to be doing this type of event really… Food expensive but seems to be good quality. Would’ve liked to have seen more dishes on sale using their own produce from the nearby walled gardens which were fantastic to walk around.

The gardens are free and are great in many respects but very few people pay the reasonable fee to tour the house which is really worth doing. There is a introductory video and a free audio guide which is worthwhile. The ground floor is rather sparse but has quite a few points of interest but it is the first floor that is surprisingly sumptuous. The house is small so 45 minutes to an hour maybe. The café is separate from the house and is ok for drinks and cakes but not for a more substantial food - best walk to Chiswick for that. Also the café is expensive and can be very busy.

Chiswick House is quite similar to Syon House in terms of the feel of the place. It is a grand building with lots of features and the acoustics are conducive for a live ensemble performing in any part of the building. The sound just bounces off the walls. I attended a private party there on the last Saturday in October with my band and I would recommend this venue for parties, especially if you are trying to make a grand impression on your guests. The only issue is that the toilets are not well sign posted; many guests had trouble finding them. Just a few signs on the walls and this problem is solved. For a wedding, it would be photographer's dream location as there are many options and angles to capture good shots of the bride and groom. The grounds are also open to the public, so you can visit the venue to check it out.

I come here regularly for a coffee stop as it's in a good location with plenty of outdoor seating by children's play area and award winning architect building

Only stopped here for some light refreshment but the cafe seemed to serve good wholesome food at reasonable (for London) prices . It was full of families on multi-generational outings and I would say it is good place to eat and relax .

Uma região eminentemente residencial, o parque não deve ser muito conhecido de turistas...mas é ótimo, e o Café é excelente...opções inglesas, além de croissants e outras guloseimas mais "internacionais".

Service in this cafe is never consistent .....some employees look like they are enjoying their job but others certainly missed the "customer service training day".Don't work in the service industry if you find it impossible to offer a smile and simple pleasantry when serving a customer!

We went with our three year old twin grandchildren to Chiswick Park and had a great time.

The cafe itself is a basic counter order service with plenty of seats (indoor and out), and is kept very clean. Again, food choices are basic, but quite extensive and there is plenty to suit every palate (including our one year old's). We were really impressed with the value of the food, having been expecting to pay tyical London prices!

Me and my group arrived with only 15 mins to spare before the kitchen closed, and we were very lucky to be served. Our server Katrina couldn’t have been more accommodating, her service was fantastic. The food we had was great, we especially liked the pork belly and chicken liver parfait. There was a great atmosphere in the pub in general, and would highly recommend for a late night dinner any time.

Came here for lunch with aunt and cousin last week and it was fairly decent. I had the hamburger medium rare and it was actually very tasty. Others had fish and chips (large portions), ratatouille and salmon. Really decent place. It is also very handy as it is just along the high road itself.
