Café Andaluz in Glasgow City

Great experience from start to finish. The food is exceptional. We had 6 different tapas for the two of us. I'll definitely visit again

Tapas were fabulous! So many choices. I highly recommend the Chorizo dish and Shrimp with Chili Sauce! Also they have a drink called Pornstar Martini that is delicious! Great wait staff too!

First visit back for over a year... And will be last! ... Arrives for our table of two booking and we are sat in the most cramped corner of other couples ever! Literally touching distance to the adjacent tables, and felt we were part of everyones conversation around us. ... After being seated we sat there for over TEN minutes before someone even offered us a drink on arrival. ... The offer was 3 tapas and a dessert each, so we ordered six dishes, three each, and I confirmed with our server entering this into their tablet that's SIX dishes, yes was the reply. ... Finally the food arrives, with only FOUR dishes, can I get you anything else,.. Eh yeh the other TWO missing dishes would be nice. ... Oh let me go check on that, so we waited and waited, all the time our four dishes on the table getting colder, so we finally began to eat.. Almost another SIX minutes had gone by before the other two dishes appeared, no apology, just put down and away. ... We had dessert and coffee and then asked for the bill, no offer of a card machine to pay it, just walked away, (at this point I was not leaving a tip for the poor service received the entire meal)! ... So with nobody forthcoming to take payment, I went to the front desk to pay it myself, and to add insult to injury noticed they'd added a gratuity onto the bill automatically! ... Talk about taking a liberty. I've had better service in a local café and tipped more! ... All in all, a disaster of what was supposed to be a special evening. ... 100% will not be back.

We'd been before and really enjoyed it, but this time around the service was indifferent - perhaps because a 10% tip is automatically added to your bill, so why bother being friendly? The meatballs also came out lukewarm. Disappointing.

Not at all bad but three stars is average, which it was. Crema Catalana was good. Would have preferred a greater selection of wines, including by the 0.5L carafe.

Had a really good meal here...fantastic value, bread, olives, chillies then 3 tapas dishes followed by dessert for a set price. The dishes were really filling and packed full of flavour. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and will definitely come back when I am next in Glasgow.

I received a gift voucher for this cafe. Took my partner. We got the 3 tapas Sunday lunch. 6 different dishes, and they were all absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and accomdating. The service was perfect. I will be recommending this place, and I'll definitely be back.

Terrible experience. I asked for a table for one person and, although there were many free ones, the only one that was offered to me was in a narrow corner near the service table. The water served at the table, then, had a fishy aftertaste probably due to the slice of lemon present in it.

We had a good breakfast. The service was very friendly.

What an amazing restaurant, the tapas is perfect with a wide range for vegetarian and meat eaters. A must visit I yiu lime this style of food. Hightly recommended.

What an amazing place to visit. When we arrived we were welcomed warmly into the restaurant. We were offered two tables which was nice and once we sat down we were quickly able to order our drinks. We were.guided on the amount of tapas and paella to order and I must say the food was fantastic. The waitress was also great, making some great jokes while serving us well. Overall I'd highly recommend and I look forward to my next visit.

Have been a few times, always loved it but today's was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Cant praise the delicious food enough. Everything was faultless from start to finish. Thanx so much team Cafe Andaluz. See you all soon 😘

Having lived on and off in Spain, I found the portions way too small, not really tapas sized, more like pinchos, what you get for free when you buy a drink in Spain. Food quality just mediocre, atmosphere really nice. We were served goat cheese tapas with nothing to eat it with, had to order bread (always free in Spain) for L3, which was just a few small slices. Sad.

Fantastic as usual, I'm never disappointed at Cafe Andaluz.

Loved the tapas. Staff paid good attention to intolerance to nuts. A great selection of tapas options to choose from. Really enjoyed the Pork cheek and all of my Seafood options were lovely with the scallops being my favourite.

We eat in Cafe Andaluz fairly regularly at both their city centre restaurant and their Ashton Lane place. The service, food and atmosphere are all excellent and as authentically Spanish as we have had anywhere in the UK. Well worth a visit for anyone who wants to try Spanish fare.

Cafe Andaluz never disappoints, I've never had a bad meal, even when trying something new. Friendly staff and food well presented.

Lovely place! Amazing food and lovely staff. Wine was delicious. Interior is beautiful. We are vegetarian and lots of veggie options.

Food is excellent no complaints there, slightly inattentive staff, also got incredibly busy and loud to the point of having to shout across the table to chat.

I got a delivery from here and it arrived very quickly and the good was fantastic! I will definitely be ordering again and will visit the restaurant soon too!

The food is good, but...they do typical sacrilege of stereotypes with every dish. The "Catalan bread" is an insult to call it short, or to name Black Sausage as Black Sausage. However, the food is good enough and the service is very good, one for being too expensive, value for money.

Great Atmosphere, food is great. Staff are super friendly,Sheila was extremely good as she suggested me the King Prawns and I highly recommend it.

Great tapas in Glasgow. Decorated in Spanish Moorish style. Can get authentic dishes and Alhambra beer, It's a trip to Spain without the flight!! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Really welcoming and created a great, relaxing atmosphere.

Great recommendation (if I come to Glasgow it's a MUST go) - despite not having a reservation I quickly got a place for 1.5 hours (when the restaurant was full!!!

The tapas dishes are ok but The Creme Catalan there is just amazing.

We arrived here mid week. This is a nice venue that is not authentically Spanish. The paella de carne lacked any flavour other than the chorizo that had been matured and cooked in a red wine. The tortilla española was not made to order. This tasted dry and completely tasteless. I wouldn't return to either restaurant

Such a great experience of Spanish food. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was perfect for the food.

Very average experience, food wasn’t anything special and arrived a bit lukewarm. Drinks served with melted ice and lacked garnishes/flair. Our waitress was quite abrupt which came across as rude, unsure if she meant to be. It was not very busy and there seemed to be plenty staff on so I’m not sure if our waitress was just in a bad mood that day, but it definitely soured our evening. Not the best experience, definitely better restaurants that are more authentic. I also gave my DRG member card number and the points were never put on my card so i would make sure to mention this to your server if you are dining here.

Great food, but the sangria was far from traditional and wouldn't order again. The service at the table was great but the guy on entry needs to learn that first impression are important and he should be warm and friendly, not grumpy and cold. Would return if / when in Glasgow.

Welcomed and shown quickly to our table. Huge choice of tapas something for every palate. We ordered 6 dishes between 2 plus a bottle of rose more than satisfied. Service was excellent and friendly.

Extremely rude staff along with duty manager .

Had a meal with my cousin and cant stop sneezing. We sat next to the ballustrate by the stairs. When i looked at the surface, it was so dusty and dirty like it has never been cleaned before. I asked the fluffy guy in white shirt to clean it and he completely ignore it and look at me like im the weirdo. Bad training.

Coming to Spain and eating real Spanish food, the omelette very cooked and pre-cooked, the patatas bravas, it was tomato sauce and the "alioli" is mayonnaise with a garlic aftertaste. The churros are 3 the size of a pea. bad food

Food is absolutely unreal, never fails to impress.

Recommend so gave it a try. Was super busy so a good sign! Service was ok, had to ask a few times for drinks. Food wasn't mind blowing but ok and wasn't super expensive. Our food came out together but a few dishes were cold (squid). Would i go again? Maybe, maybe not.

Just my favourite restaurant! It was a large group and the staff were extremely efficient and the flow of service was perfect.

The spot is super easy to find, and the vibe is on point—cozy, chill, and decked out with some really cool decor. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Plus, the food is legit good, and the prices won’t leave you broke. Perfect combo!

Hmm...... too crammed and busy. Food was just okay but grossly overpriced. Very small portions and sadly disappointing. I had chicken kebab thing which was very small. The aubergine was hard and chewy and potatoes ordinary. And please stop putting on service charges. It's the customer's perogative to tip. The waiters never appeared back after leaving our food to check if all was okay because they were rammed. I won't be back.

Atmosphere was lovely warm and inviting very cosy for this time of year on a cold night. All our servers were lovely from the bar staff, to the gentleman at the front door and all the waiting staff. made sure we had everything we needed but weren't overbearing either. Food was lovely and good value for money I try and come here at least once a year and I'm never left disappointed.

Excellent tapas meal in this restaurant located in the heart of Glasgow. Decorated to a high standard in keeping with the Spanish theme, the staff were efficient and friendly. Food was excellent. We had a mixed tapas selection from the menu topped up with a couple of extras. Not cheap, meal fir two with drinks and wine £120, but very enjoyable.

Fantastic food and a pretty good lunch deal (3 tapas for £20 including "supplemental" costs). Also have beautiful tables and painted walls. Would not suggest if you're a vegetarian or do not eat beef/pork and a wide variety of seafood..

Loved everything about this place. We used an Itison voucher which got us a sangria each, 5 tapas to share and a dessert. Great food and superb value. Will definitely return again as there was a great atmosphere here.

Came for lunch and got the 3 tapas for £19 deal. Got the croquettes, calamari and prawns in tomato sauce. Calamari was a bit tasteless but the prawns and croquettes were great. Service was very friendly although we did have to wait a while to get the bill. Nice atmosphere inside and very busy even on a Monday lunchtime! Overall, nice experience but definitely on the expensive side for lunch.

Dined here on the pre theatre menu. Lots on menu to choose from. The food was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed it however just as I was finishing I discovered a piece of raw chicken on the skewers I had, wasn't even cooked slightly. Luckily I had finished most of my dinner else I wouldn't have eaten anymore. I told the waiter who apologised and offered me another portion. I declined as I'm a afraid I was really put off. Very disappointed as I said the food was amazing. We never got a discount on our bill and the raw chicken was never mentioned again. This was also disappointing as I told the waiter discreetly about the issue so the other customers didn't hear and I was very polite about it when actually I had every right to cause a scene. I have been up all night with pains in my tummy and very loose stools 😢

Great atmospheric place, fantastic food, great service

My wife and I have dined here several times over the years, thought it high time that I leave a review. Everything about Cafe Andaluz is spot on. Very friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, the staff are always very welcoming. In all the times we've dined here, we have always been delighted with the food - you are really spoiled for choice as to what to choose from on the menu. Certainly looking forward to my next visit here, hopefully in the near future! Top marks all round - very well deserved. Had lunch here and the food was great, but what really stood out was how beautiful the building and furnishings were. Very authentic vibes - feels like I'm on holiday in another country. Prices were also reasonable considering how fancy the place looked.

Lovely place that we have passed many times but never tried. Service was great, they knew their stuff, food was great and our table at the window looking out was what needy people ask for. Price wise was good, cosy Spanish restaurant a few seconds from George Square. Very impressed.

This place was buzzin on a Friday evening. Luckily for us we managed to get a table. Highly advised to book a table. Super tasty tapas, friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere. Wouldn’t mind spending a few more hours there. Loved it.
