So expensive! £7 for a sausage roll. £7! I mean c’mon. It was similar to the ones you get at Wild Cafe at the BP garage. Not worth it. So many other places nearby with similar food at a more reasonable price.

Fabulous little cafe. Group of 15 visited today after a walk round RSPB nature reserve nearby. They managed our large group very well and the food was delicious. Will be back

I've been here about 5 times and each time has basically been the same so I feel this is a fair review. The place is just okay. But it could be so much better! Pros: The staff and location are excellent. Decor is fun and clientele are good. Cons: the outside seating area could be tidied up a little, the loos could be much cleaner (and I accept they're in a small portacabin as its a farm location), the coffee is average (and I love S American coffee so really wanted this is to be great), and the pastries have been hit and miss. This place however could be a gold mine if they stepped it up a few gears since the customer base at that bracket is definitely there.

What a find! Just perfect, plenty of parking. Very popular place with cyclists. Great iced Mocha, just what was needed on a hot morning. Great atmosphere. Outdoor seating. Extensive menu. Fantastic quiche

Dog friendly with water bowls for the dogs and fantastic sausage rolls which my dog approves and loves. Staff friendly and recognised me and my dog even though I had not visited for some time.

Best cafe for cyclists to stop at locally. Some indoor seating in a cool vibe cafe but on a sunny day sit outside on a picnic table and enjoy their fantastic coffee and cake. You often get free cream on the side. I wouldn’t say it is expensive. Certainly cheaper than the other overpriced place about a mile away!

Had a tasty family lunch here with excellent onsite roasted Colombian coffee. The decor is charming with masses of thriving plants, a bookshelf and a well stocked play box for the kids. Big car park. Service was swift and friendly. Great atmosphere. Emphasis on Spanish style food.

Excellent coffee, decent savoury food, the desserts and cakes are also very good. The slab of bread pudding was a bit of a revelation. The pricing is reasonable a lunch for 2 with drinks and some cake under £20 is not bad. We look forward to coming again.

A friendly little cafe close to an RSPB reserve , Fowlmere. The cafe has a nice South American vibe (think Empanadas), as well as good coffee and selection of cakes. Very much enjoyed the Brownie.

Lovely quirky village coffee stop offering cakes and savoury food. Could have done perhaps with more on on offer for those preferring a vegan diet. Friendly staff.

Paid £7 for a bang average sausage roll. Mediocre and overpriced. Slow service and horrible outside toilets.

Very nice. The bar tenders we very nice and easy to talk to. It’s a very good village pub, with lots of locals!

We stopped on the off chance as we travelled to Cambridge. Decided to stay for lunch. Lovely Thai themed lunch, friendly atmosphere, clean facilities. Reasonable price for fresh cooked beautifully presented food. If we lived nearby we would definitely be back.

Had lunch one weekday last week. Despite a large group before us the food was served reasonably quickly. All the food was good and quantities were good too. The service was good throughout and decent value for money. Would return.

Great pub, cold beer, delicious food, nice spacious and very clean rooms, ample car park, still found a space during Sunday lunch service, not much more one could ask. Stayed 4 nights here, and it's been a great experience. Very clean room, recently, in my opinion, refurbished room, very comfy bed, great wifi throughout, smart TV with all your streaming app pre installed so just sign in and keep watching your fav series. Pub is great as well, very clean, the smell of the wood fires, and the very good music choice just makes it that bit extra cosy. The food was fantastic, all freshly made and delicious. Staff was very helpful, smiling all the time, and made sure everyone had a great time. A couple of things to consider: they only serve continental breakfast during weekdays, would love to have the option of a cooked one, judging by the quality of the food I had it would definitely be banging! On the flip side, I understand we are in a small village, and perhaps it wouldn't make financial sense to the business to pay chefs and staff for maybe 2 guests. Also, if you check in on a Sunday, they stop serving food at 4 p.m., and the pub shuts at or around 7 pm. With everything considered...it's a 4.95 stars from me. Very quiet area, so sleep was great, great food, cold beers! Will definitely return if I'm in the area! Thank you for a great stay!

Wanted a cosy Sunday pub roast on a rainy day and got exactly that . Lovely warm and instantly welcoming staff and country pub atmosphere. Noted a decent range of beers on the pumps and had a tasty local ale to go perfectly with the food . Had already looked up the menu before going and chose it having noted the veggie roast option which cites roasted root veggies ( I love roasted carrots - and feel often pub roasts lack this ! ) Food arrived in a pleasing way and can say the nut roast was full of texture , the cauliflower cheese was rich in flavour and the roasted parsnips were absolutely lovely - could’ve pigged on more ! My only minor drawback ( and this is being picky ) is for the roasted spuds - I love a really extra crispy crunch on the outside they were great but a personal taste for me would be to have that extra outer crunch :) Great value, really well presented very tasty - I’d go back and recommend to others :) … dived in too quickly to take any pictures but can verify that the pictures already shared on previous reviews are accurate , if I’d had room for a pud I’d have gone for one !
