Cafe 33 in Norwich

This is place with great taste breakfast/lunch food. Even waiting outside for 15 min to get seated was great experience. Lovely atmosphere inside. Would highly recommend

Had brunch at cafe 33 today in Norwich, I've never qued up to get into a cafe before but it was quick and well worth it. I ordered the "beast" breakfast which was cooked fresh with high quality ingredients and nice and hot. The staff were friendly and very professional Maya was our server and nothing was too much trouble for her. All that with a great atmosphere you can't ask for anymore. I will be back 10/10

One of my top places in Norwich for breakfast! 💚 They have a separate vegan menu & offer a large amount of gluten free options too. I was heartbroken to see that the vegan breakfast bagel had been removed from the menu, so instead I went for the Bruschetta: Toasted sourdough topped with vegan whipped feta, black garlic, marinated tomatoes, artichokes, olives, harissa toasted pumpkin seeds, served with a pesto drizzle & micro basil (£12). My partner ordered the Lazeez Bowl: Warm harissa roasted cauliflower & sweet potato with crunchy chickpeas, mixed grains & spinach, topped with dukkah, pomegranate seeds, fresh herbs, zingy lemon dressing baba ganoush and tamarind drizzle (£10.80). Both dishes were amazing & my bruschetta was way bigger than I'd expected, I actually couldn't finish it all! The food arrived super quickly even though the café was almost full, all of the staff did a fantastic job & were super friendly. It was lovely to have someone check back on us during our meal - this seems to be something that doesn't usually happen in Norwich (from my experience). For drinks, I ordered the Strawberry Cold Press & my partner had the Assam tea. You know a business is doing well when they're almost full on a Tuesday morning! 💚

Whenever we come to Norwich we head to No33 for a great English breakfast, freshly cooked, generous portions, friendly service. Recommended.

After a short wait outside we were seated. I chose the club sandwich - pictured and my wife the eggs Benedict with chorizo. Both really good. That said in my book a club sandwich has 3 layers of bread. What do you think? We will be back.

The cake was the highlight! Moist and not too sweet! Perfection. Coffee was also great.

The food was fantastic. I ordered a veggie breakfast, minus tomato and then added hash and halloumi. It was to die for. Would highly recommend.

A classic brunch spot in norwich, good food and attentive staff. Only downside would be that as it gets quite busy it can feel sometimes cramped inside, but in terms of food and price it’s very adequate. The menu is extensive with loads of choice so there’s definitely something for everyone. I had the chorizo hash which i enjoyed, however the side of loaded hash browns were slightly disappointing as they didn’t taste very fresh. otherwise a good spot!

Haven't been here in a while but it was still great, particularly surprised and delighted by the inclusion of artichoke in their chorizo hash.

Best breakfast/brunch place in Norwich. Fantastic food and service, also a delicious range of cakes. Worst part is you can't book and it's often queued out the door so arrive early or you'll be disappointed!

How on earth a place as busy as this manages to produce such amazing food so quickly is some form of magic. I had the Naanwich, which was one of the most epic looking sandwiches I'd ever seen with some home made marsala beans etc. After one bite I knew that I would be disappointed when my plate was empty. Do your tastebuds a favour visit soon!

Had the vegan cauliflower and sweet potato bowl, assumed it would be a nice salad type dish, it was basically a bowl of badly cooked rice - thick, claggy and bland - with 3 pieces of cauliflower and a tiny amount of sweet potato. A really disappointing dish. Staff were nice and my boyfriend enjoyed his food (a meat dish) but I was really disappointed by my meal. Also the glasses smelled of fish tank so drinking from them was gross and the coffee was below par. Disappointed considering the reviews are so high. Wouldn’t recommend

Tried to get a table. Admittedly, it was 9 of us, but the lady at the door was very rude and nasty to us. She refused to split us into two groups (4 and 5). Extremely negative and unwilling to accommodate anything. Said there weren't any tables for 4 people. Immediately after that happened, the group of 4 people that was standing behind us got a table for 4. Ridiculous. Very disappointed in how we were treated. Been here before and had really nice food.

Didnt get any food just went for a drink and the staff there was very friendly.

We had to wait outside for a table, but the restaurant was so well staffed it took virtually no time to be seated, even though there were 4 tables to be seated in front of us. Then we tried the vegan breakfast and found out we would have waited way longer for it! It was so great, every element had a lot of care and effort made and that's so refreshing for vegan food, usually it's just something chucked into a fryer! Definitely will be returning, this was an amazing meal!

Great all round, no wonder the queue can be out the door at times...from food to service and beyond you can't beat this place anytime of the day. We went on a Friday morning around 9am and there were plenty of table and quick service. Food was fresh and tasty, only disappointment was hard yolks on the poached eggs. Admittedly I didn't ask after if they could or should be cooked to runny as it was so tasty it got demolished and this wouldn't stop me from returning. Male sure you check out this fine Norwich establishment!!

I love, love, love this place! The staff are always so lovely and helpful. The menu is unique and caters for a variety of different dietary requirements. I would highly recommend! Only reason for the 4 star on atmosphere is that at peak times it gets quite loud and the tables are a little close together. The person I was dining with has communication difficulties and it was hard for her to have a conversation with me due to the volume. I understand this is pretty much unavoidable in peak times but in case anyone is in a similar situation I thought this might help :) Overall, I wish they would expand their chain every city deserves a No33! 10/10 food.

Wonderful late lunch. We had the Big Breakfast, the Club Sandwich and I had Pulled ham hock on sourdough with the best ever poached eggs. Everything was fresh and delicious. Also the best decaf Americano I’ve ever had. Unfortunately we had no room for cakes. Next time. Three 5 star ratings from us.

we went in this saturday to have terrible drum n bass party music blasted into our ears on the speaker, just not really appropriate for a brunch café. could barely hear ourselves talk. whoever thought that was a good idea for a pancake joint needs to give their head a wobble. no staff came to take our order for over 20 minutes so we just left...

This place gives some of the best eateries around the world a run for their money. Absolutely exquisite. I had the Ham Hock Eggs Benedict, and my partner had Huevos Rancheros - we shared. Most highly recommended - Go!

Visited over the weekend with my friends. The cafe is lovely and the food all looks gorgeous - my friends had the bruschetta and pancakes. They said their food was lovely! I had the lazeez bowl, as it was the only vegan option without vegan meat or cheese alternatives, it was nice but had some quite strong flavours (aniseed, but might have been fennel from the da? And fresh coriander) which weren't listed on the menu and are not personally to my taste. The other thing is a tiny little picky thing, but we were sat against the wall on the left hand side, and I was on a bench which was too high to comfortably eat from the table. I lifted the bowl to eat, and felt quite uncomfortable slouching down to the table. When I looked, the bench has raised feet, so it might be easy to lower the bench. I overheard the group next to us also commenting on how awkwardly high the bench is. Apart from that, it was a lovely cafe and my friends would enthusiastically go again. :)

Loved our breakfast, huge portions, great flavours and I love a proper knife when they serve sourdough instead of fighting with a butter knife 🤣

Update: Brunch had now been tried, and it's my idea of a Dream Brunch Spot, No 33 has all my favourites on the menu (which is rare). The food was fabulous, looking forward to going back and trying more off the menu. This place is popular on the weekend. Really like this cafe, has a US dinner feel about it. Haven't tried the food yet, but the service and coffee are good.

I was very satisfied the first time I came here and kept coming week after week during my stay in Norwich, I was never dissappointed as everything was top notch. Delicious big breakfast is highly recommended. A big thank you to the people that work there, they were very friendly and even went the extra mile and memorized my usual order, they're amazing. ✌🏻

Fantastic food, easy to get in as it was a weekday morning. Lovely options and plenty to choose from. Would visit again! Parking we used st Andrew’s and it’s a 2 minute walk from the cafe

Been visiting weekly for years, while most of the menus are amazing, I miss the mac&cheese, and the american pancake was poor comparing to what i remember from the old menu. It was very tough and 2piece out of 3 was raw.

It's now using cold raw in the center, doughy, seemingly frozen pancake that is just uneatable, avoid. Update: wow restaurant owner went straight into aggressively denying the problem - the pancake's quality deteriated, was raw in the center on 2+ visits, and feels like it's a frozen product that's not properly defrosted. I stand by my comment and ur free to report all you wish. This is pathetic

I had my time here on the 6th of June around 1pm. The food and coffee here are one of the best in Norwich but there are too many bugs or flies inside the cafe which are not acceptable, and I can tell that these flies are come from inside the cafe. It means that the environment of the cafe is not clean, the flies even flew into my cakes and flew around my food, how am I supposed to have a good time in here if the environment is like this? I told one of the staff who looked around mid 40/50 that whether it was possible to change my seat or not, but her attitude was just too bad and not even tried to offer any help. Even other staff members were not giving any apologies. My great day was ruined completely because of this kind of experience, I won’t be coming again until I get an acceptable apology.

Food was alright. Coffee was made but at that price when sitting in I was expecting some latte art and a bigger cup ngl. Waiter hit me with a menu when cleaning a table next mine, they didn't notice but tbh that was kinda bad. Wouldn't go back but that's because there is no real effort going into the place. Might as well go Starbucks or costa.

Best cafe in Norwich. The pancakes with fruit and bacon is a must try but everything I’ve had has been faultless. Don’t let the queues put you off, it moves quickly.

The queue was about 10 long outside the front door when we arrived but don't let that put you off if you experience the same; it's a fairly large place and the queue goes down quickly. Service was decent timing-wise, friendly and welcoming. The whole place has a really nice vibe and decor, and the food was great. A veggie breakfast and avo with smoked salmon, both excellent. Child had the full portion of pancakes and it was described by them as 'five out of five'. Great place, highly recommended.

It was a really nice meal but extremely salty, to the point we had to leave part of the meal. Was a shame, as has been great in the past. Service is lacking, very much fast food feel. Will come back though as usually the meals are wonderful.

First time at No33 and what a pleasant experience. Clean premises friendly staff and a fantastic menu. I tried the Shakshuka dish for the first time and I can say I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The cakes are amazing very generous slices and delicious. Give these guys a try you won’t be disappointed! 5*

It was a nice place to eat but I think the kids pancakes could be better, I had the kids pancake, it was £1-10. but the adult pancake was £10-20.

Always a 5* in our eyes! One of the best cafes in Norwich. Food is always delicious, & plenty of options. Recommend the pancakes if you prefer something sweet! Service is quick.

Went here for breakfast this morning. Had a full English and hash with pulled ham. The food is beyond delicious and the portion size will keep me properly full until tomorrow. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, and the staff are warm and friendly. We’ll definitely be visiting their second location in the park on the weekend!

V8sited our niece at uni and she recommended no 33. On of our party had the club sandwich which wasn't a club sandwich at all. Just a ciabbatta with chicken and bacon. I had the bbq pulled pork brioche bun. Menu description mentioned crispy potatoes and onions. None of these were present so a bit disappointed. Overall my dish was not hot at all. The other dishes my party had were the benedicts which were fine. I personally would not recommend based on my food.

One of my favourites in Norwich I revisited after a long time. Cosy atmosphere with great food as always.

Having never been to Norwich before, this was a great introduction into the thriving food scene that’s here. If you are looking for a delicious brunch with friendly staff and good coffee, look no further! I can particularly recommend the Naanwich - insane flavours and never had anything like it.

Food wasn’t very nice expected for it to be better with all this hype going around about it, the lady that was serving us wasn’t polite what so ever she just stood there and kept giving me and my friend dirty looks whilst we was picking out what to eat as she came over so quickly we didn’t even have the chance to pick out what we want. The table wasn’t cleaned properly neither were the cutlery. Disappointed

It's rare that I want to immediately review places this days - No33 is just that good! I came here with my wife, sister, and my 18-month old at around 11:30 on a normal Tuesday morning in Norwich. The staff were very friendly and helped us store away out daughter's stroller and got her a high chair. The vegan menu is seriously seriously impressive for somewhere that also serves meat and dairy. We all ate vegan and loved our food. My vegan hash was generous portion-wise and featured the delicious fauxrizo I'd recommend everyone try. Our daughter had some vegan pancakes (would recommend that the restaurant put a note on the menu for kids' vegan dishes) and hash browns that she demolished. I'm not normally one for pancakes, but these were the best vegan ones I've ever had! Perfect sweetness and fluffiness. The coffees were good too. In fact I was very jealous of my wife's gingerbread latte despite enjoying my oat cortado! Overall, definitely come here if you're vegan and looking for some excellent brunch options. It's genuinely rare for a place's vegan menu to match the omni menu dish-for-dish. Just wish I lived closer!

This place was recommended to us multiple times for their desserts. As an American I found the menu slightly odd but the dishes we ordered were tasty and in great quantity for a reasonable cost. Such quantity, in fact, that we decided to come back later for dessert .

The food is always super fresh. On this occasion the waitress was off her game. You don't huff and roll your eyes young lady.🙄🫣

We had Vegan Pancake stacks for lunch, and a Dirty Chai Latte. Wonderful food, so tasty will definitely go again. We couldn't finish our stacks, which is unheard of!
