Absolutely by far, the best breakfast I’ve had since I moved to wales 8 years ago, and I eat out for breakfast 2-3 times a week! The girl that served us was lovely and polite!

Wife is coeliac so has to eat gluten free, had a tip off that they had a GF breakfast option, given she hasn't been able to go to a cafe for breakfast for years this was a real treat. Her breakfast was massive including GF hash browns, I had a brunch which was equally massive and both were delicious. Decor is basic but food and service first class we'll be back, thanks.

Great breakfast as per! Sausages were fab and had the option to build my own breakfast, which really suits me. Quick service, lots of options on the menu. Always a great atmosphere!

Staff were super friendly, place was clean, food was tasty and good value, coffee was excellent😁 Balls on the range were probably the worst I've ever hit but the range itself was really nice with a tree at 175yds to hit at/over😁 There is a grass area to play off at the end of the range which was good as I much prefer not to play off mats. The balls were fine with clubs below a 5 iron, I don't think many survived being hit with the driver judging by the ball flight! It was cheap as chips and super friendly and great for a warm up, or knock about with friends and family. I will return when I want to eat and hit a few balls. Great value food and only £4 for 80 balls1😁

Great breakfast. Excellent value. Service is friendly and quick. If you want a good breakfast and plenty of it, then this is the place to come.

I found all the staff and Pauline, the owner, an absolute joy and incredibly polite. The breakfasts are really superb value for money and always served with a smile. I always look forward to the next time I visit. I read the review below and can't believe that person visited the same cafe as me. I suppose there are always two sides to every story, but it is strange that person's experience was so alien to my own. It's very childish a person should choose to post such a spiteful review. Was recommended by a friend to visit for a breakfast however my husband and I were very disappointed. Both breakfasts arrived to the table 15 minutes after the said the wait time. Not only that but the staff were unapologetic and the young girl that served us drinks and food looked miserable, untrained and quite frankly, like she didn't want to be there. Would never normally complain (because I know how hard hospitality can be from my background as a pub worker) but the food didn't even make up for the rest of the service.... Not returning thank you!

Today some of my family and I went to Caddies Cafe. We all ordered. My son ordered after me and saw the young lady who was serving us transfer our order onto to the same order as the rest of the family as we were all sitting on the same table. We sat and the meals started arriving. All arrived except my husband's we waited a little while then I went up to the counter waited in line then politely explained we were one breakfast short to the other dark haired lady working there. She said she'd check. Came out from the kitchen and ask how many had we had. I said 5 and that there were 6 ordered all together. I went to sit down the same lady came and said only 5 were ordered. I explained again what I had ordered and paid for. she walked away.I then got the payment up on my banking app as did everyone on our table to show how much we'd paid.She said she will check the ctv. Fine. Eventually the breakfast had came , as the rest of the party had almost finished. After finishing our meal we sat and waited. Then I went back up the counter waited in line again and then ask have you checked the ctv as we are waiting to leave. She answered no so I said I wanted it sorted before I leave. My sister said can we leave Linda's phone number for when you check so you can appologise to her. The lady gave me a filthy look and walked into the kitchen as she did I ask to speak to Paula. Paula came out big smile said causing trouble again laughing. I said no I'm being accused of stealing food even after showing proof of how much I had paid. She said your not being accused . I am and I'm very upset about it. She said don't worry about it. No I'm upset I want to sort it out. She said only 5 meals were on the order. I explained that the young lady wrote the 2 lots onto one and must have missed off the birdie with extra toast. I am a Deacon in my church and being accused of stealing food is upsetting. My sister started talking to her. I walked away cause I was so upset. Paula came out with my sister and again said don't worry about it. I said this was our favourite place to go all our family get together even birthday meals are there. She agreed. My sister said she's got your number Linda and after checking will call you. Paula told Carol she wouldn't check but was told we want her to. I walked away saying and still no apology. I waited till Now to give them time to check the ctv and call but still not heard from Paula. I advise you to get a copy of your order and your till receipt if you go there especially if there's a few of you. Meanwhile I'm left very upset and what should have been a lovely family get together was totally ruined.

Had breakfast this morning with friends, lad who was working was so lovely and very friendly. Would 100% recommend coming here. Food was amazing.

When you get Black pudding and mushrooms on the same plate you know you've gone to the right place. Paula always happy to receive her guests, and she/ her staff are always chatty (hence why I know their names). Breakfast is perfect every time, and the faggots (from the farm shop) are pretty special too.

Caddies never disappoints with their food. Poached eggs are done to perfection every time. Will always return and recocomend to anybody after a good meal. Wide range to choose from to suit everybody. The friendly staff make the visit even better :-)

Had breakfast here after seeing good reviews, but found it disappointing. Toast is cheap bread and sausages also cheap make, coffee not very nice. Worse, was that staff were either not wearing masks or had them around their neck. Won't be going again.

Came back today, first time since lockdown, felt very safe and in my experience the food was better than ever. Paula always makes your visit a great one and nothing is too much trouble. I will definitely be back next week for my great freshly cooked meal.

Popped in for a brunch while on holiday in the area. Friendly service and a lovely cooked breakfast . A popular little cafe, tables were filled as soon as people left. Hidden off the main roads and joined onto the local golf driving range.

Overall I found that Caddies provide a good quality service at reasonable cost. There is a wide range of meals different breakfasts available to suit any appetite. From the standard breakfast, to the belly buster and if you are very hungry then the giant haystack may be of interest to you.Downside in winter is that people leaving leave the door open and it can be quite drafty. As it has a stone floor then there can it can be quite noisy as those inconsiderate people who drag their chairs instead of lifting them. Well worth a visit!!!

Went out on the bike this morning for a ride ,and come lunchtime needed to refuel the driver and passenger, we decided to pop into Caddies and are glad we did, we had the middle breakfast, believe me it will fill you up, I'm not one to leave anything on a breakfast but the last sausage beat me.The food was perfectly cooked, the service was very good, the price was spot on, what more do you need.Highly recommended.

After seeing good reviews l thought I'd try here again and yes it is certainly better under the new ownership,coffee much improved.Personally, l prefer to butter my own toast, also the bread is soggy,cheap stuff. so still not impressed.

Wonderful freshly cooked food and always great value for money.Fantastic choice of food and often some timely seasonal dishes such as the recent Christmas burgers which were outstanding.Lovely warm welcome and even if all the tables are full it’s not long before you get a freshly cleaned table and quick service Lots of locals go there a lot which says a lot for Caddies especially with the recent change of owners who go out of their way to make your visit warm and welcome at all times.

Nice food good service very clean and the food is a reasonable price plus a nice view on a clear day what else but you need when having a breakfast meeting with the lads.

I visited Caddies and was amazed at the service. Lovely staff and great food! Fantastic that it is Veggie friendly, as I find it hard to eat out where the Veggie option is just a salad.

I visited Caddies on Saturday and the place was packed to the gunnels, however as I heard it was such good food I decided to wait for a table, I now know why it was full, the staff were super friendly, it was clean with a good atmosphere and the breakfasts were amazing, the free cuppa refill is a great idea, and the food some of the best I have ever tasted, the kids were spoilt for choice and they even made a meal up for the youngest. I will definitely be coming back and advise everyone what a gem this place is.

I visited Caddies at Mayfield with my daughter and her friend. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. My bacon roll was stuffed with lovely thick cut rashers in a ‘proper’ roll, nothing soft or soggy there! The Birdie Breakfast was well presented as were the beans on toast ordered. Service was quick despite the cafe being busy. I’d definitely recommend a visit. Good luck to Paula and her team - you may have only just taken over the management at Caddies but you’re doing a grand job!

I went to caddies last week with my family, I was extremely impressed with welcome as soon as I walked in! The food came out very quick and piping hot! It was the best breakfast i’ve had in a very long time, and definitely will be returning soon! There was a lovely family atmosphere and nothing was too much to ask of the staff! 5 star food ans 5 star staff! ☕️

Caddies is the place to go for tasty food and the more st friendliest service ever. Just walking through the door makes you feel happy. Scott and his team are so friendly and helpful, I can guarantee you will leave feeling like you have had a lovely meal, good company and a happy smile. Absolutely devastated to hear that Scott and his team will soon no longer be at Caddies but over the moon to hear that I can still get the amazing food, service and atmosphere from Scott and his team at The Green Shed. I have been coming to Caddies for many years and the food is second to none. Will definitely follow them to the new venue.

We have been using Caddie’s on and off for many years and to be honest we used to love it when it was family oriented we have seen many of Scott’s family run this wonderful place but now there is only his nephew left. The staff don’t seem happy at all, the place not as clean as it used to be. We loved nothing more than come in have banter with Suzzie then she left, them the owner takes on more business and then it seems to have lost its identity slightly. The food is the same great portions lovely tasting food but customer service is just nowhere near the same. The young girl who served us could hardly smile it was quite uncomfortable.

Caddies opens at 9am, so be aware if you are after an early start breakfast. Had a belly buster and it was a belly buster! Eggs were great, toast was better. Service was fantastic.

Visiting family in the area, my son treated me to a Caddies breakfast. I had " the norm " lovely tasty bacon and sausage, chunky hash brown, all the trimmings. Not greasy at all, and a nice cup of tea to go with it. Very tasty fresh cooked food. Highly recommended.

The girl serving was lovely but sadly the food was only average, cheap quality and not very hot. Sorry guys but I had to be honest!

First time here won't be the last. Place really busy late morning on a Tuesday that said something to me that it was going to be good, three standard choice of breakfast getting bigger and bigger saw examples and they looked huge. Opted to make up my own breakfast from a wide choice of items. Was told 25 mins wait as cooked fresh as it happened it was about 15. Food piping hot fresh and tasty, staff very friendly, will be coming again.

Been frequenting caddies for many years. If there is an issue, as sometimes there just might be, then the team will sort it with no hesitation what so ever. The food is always spot on. Normally get my order pretty quick..... but don’t expect it too soon if the whole cafe is full!!!!! If you decide to eat here you will not be disappointed.

Okay breakfast, cheap sausage and overly greasy bread as expected. No vegan option as such, and when I asked for the veggie without egg she said ‘no it comes like that’ so I had to scrape my eggs onto someone else. More notably though was the fact that the sausage had hair! I’m sure they were unaware of this due to them being factory bought but I’m sure this should be looked into! Disappointed with the lack of veggie sausage also.

We visited Caddie’s Cafe for brunch on Saturday and ordered a regular and a veggie breakfast with tea and coffee. Portion of the tea and coffee was huge! Taste was good. However we had to wait 35minutes for our breakfast to be served. Although on the menu they did cover themselves saying that there could be a wait during busy times as everything was cooked to order (this should have served as a warning sign) but I do feel the waiting time was far too long considering what we had ordered. When we arrived, the establishment had half the seats empty and those that were seated had already been served their food. We were 3rd to order (hardly considered busy by anyone’s standards). There was no warning of the waiting time at time of ordering - which they said there would be on the menu if a wait was to be expected. Essentially, no matter how you look at it, for a fry up that would take 15-20mins to cook at home (maximum), you’d expect it to be served faster in an establishment. When it was served the food was good though. The fried bread for me was a particular pleasant surprise. Nothing to complain about the quality or quantity of the food, just disappointed with the wait.

Found this cafe a few months back, staff very welcoming and pleasant. We always have the breakfast which is always good value for money, extremely tasty and always hot. It is a great place to eat.

Highly recommend Caddies for breakfast. We found it through tripadvisor and certainly worth a visit for breakfast. We were staying at the Premier Inn 8mins drive away. Definitely recommend.

Just had a delicious breakfast here. The 18 month old has discovered a love of black pudding and they actually do tasty scrambled eggs (I am extremely picky!). Very friendly service and amazing value for money. Yummy scrummy in my tummy!!

This is by far the best place for all day breakfast. If you dont want a full breakfast you can always go for a baguette, soft roll, curry or baked potatoes. Its all fresh and really tasty, no grease or under/over cooked. Its just right.

We had lovely food here and the young man serving was very pleasant and full of smiles, but we could not help but be drawn to his feet!!! Toe nails were rotten, and his feet disgusting and cracked NOT APPROPRIATE for a food establishment Im sure his boss would not be happy with his manky looking feet in FLIP FLOPS out for all to see....

Lovely breakfast. This is a classic place to go for a fry up. I haven’t had anything else on the menu other than the breakfast because it is so good!

Just had second Breakfast from this gem (not all in one day). Guys if your looking for good high quality produce food served to top restaurant standard but at good keep it local prices then between portion size, good quality produce and extremely friendly staff this is the pit stop for you.

Wow - what a place to have breakfast. This is a fantastic little cafe with great helpings off food - local sausage is recommended, funny chap behind the counter - don’t ask for poached eggs!

The only fry up I have had that has been better than this cost at least 3 times the price. Friendly, helpful service, very reasonable wait for the food and no grease on the plate which you normally get in equivalent priced cafe's. I will definitely be going back here

Went to caddies for the 6th time now, I am hooked on their breakfasts since my first visit. Staff are very polite and feel very welcome there. I'm fairly new but the owner talks to me like a friend! Mayonnaise and other sauces were basically on tap... not only that, but was FREE!

Always a nice treat for the family. Never had a bad meal. Staff are polite and friendly. Dning with 2 children under 5 can be instresting. But they have coluring books and crayons to keep them entertained while waiting for food. Great idea.
