CACTUS JAX in Southend-on-Sea

Worked in hospitality for two decades and seen it all. Arrived here at 4:55pm near closing time. Poor customer service and strange looks from service staff who looked in her early teens. Food is shockingly basic for the price and cheap standards here. However the place is relatively clean. This establishment fully takes advantage of the fact they are the only real eatery at the end of the pier. After being served the abysmal £7 sausage sandwich with rotten salad and sachets of ketchup, the “chef” decided to appear nearby my table, and seemingly start to wipe down the glass on the staff door, all the time watching me eat his food. Never ever a good sign! Overall an incredibly uncomfortable and overpriced experience. Did not feel welcome and will not return. Far better places to eat and chill in Southend!

Ordered a sausage sandwich and the sausages we're black burnt, so I asked for another one which the lady gave me, she brung it out to me and it's it's different sausages but still very burnt and frezzing cold, They have ovbs been sitting for a while and re cooked more than a few times absolutely awlful and I will never eat out of this place again, disgusting
