Good food for vegetarians and meat eaters. Book to avoid disappointment as it seems to be always fully booked, probably because the restaurant is quite small

Saw good reviews and decided try this. Booked for 8pm and when we arrived on time we were shown to our table. Another couple arrived as we were sitting and were told after checking the book that they were fully booked. Strange as there was a table free. No one else arrived. We found the food quite basic and no great wow. It didn’t seem to be anything we couldn’t have knocked up better from a supermarket shop. Asked for chilli sauce to add a bit of spice but it was sweet and no chilli. Somewhat disappointed - we won’t return.

Amazing place! Delicious food and lovely staff would recommend to anyone. The Ceviche was so nice and surprisingly cooked….and is like a tasty fish stew. Much better than all the fish and chips pubs and is also dog friendly.

Very pleasant atmosphere serving best Mexican food I’ve tried in years. One can tell dedication to quality of their ingredients prepared to perfection. We tried probably most from their menu. Staff was very nice. Great location with view on the harbour away from busy pubs and bustle on the other side of the harbour thus perfect location for family or romantic dinner. Take it easy on honey tequila.

Mixed review: A warm and friendly welcome, clean and tidy. Day one: breakfast was lovely, all appeared freshly cooked so it took a little longer, the food was nice and of great value. Feel like there was a whole can of beans for the 'beans on toast' and it was piping hot. The pot of tea was plentiful The 'coffee' milkshake was more like warm milk, not the best. Day two: ordered the thick shake this time - meant to be with ice cream and so thought that would make it cooler and tastier - wrong, it was the same as the previous visit with cream and sprinkles - not the best (if you want a nice thick iced coffee, visit the White Stones cafe). The food took a bit longer again as it was Sunday and busy. The mushroom on toast was cold but we were on a time crunch, so we couldn't send it back. The taste was nice, just cold and the black pudding was a bit on the rubbery side. Everyone else enjoyed theirs.

How disappointing! really not up to standard, the hygiene is poor. CLEANING TABLES WITH POLISH! well that's a first, that does not clean the tables it just polishes. The cook was constantly picking food and dipping it to what looked like a mayonnaise tub, eating grated cheese and the list goes on, also texting on her phone, no apron or washing off hands. I think an open kitchen is sometimes not a good idea, as the floor was filthy, and the tops were messy. Even the toilet was cleaner then the kitchen. The other 2 girls were friendly, but so was the cook. Word of advice put yourself on a hygiene course.

Decent, a well needed bacon sandwich and a coffee. Obviously popular with outdoor types so can get full of hikers and watersports visitors, directy opposite a D-day museum so there payable parking nearby. I'm a semi regular visitor when I'm in the area, and have tried most of their food, ranging from a bacon sandwich, where they cooked my bacon as I liked upon request, and the large full english kept me going right through till early evening. Why only 4 stars, fix the front door! Makes me jump everytime, if you know, you know
