Buxton Charcoal Grill in High Peak

Lovely kebab and pizza ordered from here, not seen a separate salad served in a tupperware box for kebabs before but a great idea for takeaway kebabs to prevent sogginess. Pizza was well cooked and the doner kebab well prepared and very tasty. I journeyed from Hartington to pick this up so a 20ish mile round trip. Recommended!

Rude and no chance of receiving your order. One hour and a half of waiting for an order that was apparently 45 mins. It was 2 kebabs, 2 sides. 5 or 6 phone calls and still no further on. AVOID at all costs - don’t waste your time! And no idea if customer service / shame on them

Horrific Service and very rude staff - do not order from here they are robbers of money and provide awful food. Very disappointing. The manager was so rude to me on the phone very disgusting tone used to customers, the food sent was wrong and he overcharged us. The food was cold and plain was not worth the money and time it took to arrive. Will not be using again.

This business is easy to locate on the main road. Customer service is interesting- they do not take EFTPOS and insisted on cash. I ordered a cheese burger and a coke. Prices were quite reasonable. Burger was okay- filled my need to eat. Coke was warm- room temperature. Nothing enticed me to want to return and with so many competing businesses nearby I would be inclined to try somewhere else rather than return.

Used them for three years but stopped today, they got our order wrong 3 times in a row and the blocked our number, food is pretty good but has been going consistently down hill, do yourself a favor, don't go here, for sides I'd recommend going to either Buxton food spot or Cuccinis

Ordered pizzas through Just eat at 6pm, pizza arrived 2hrs later and was cold, amazingly they arrived a 10 mins into half time in the England USA match. Store ignoring any calls. Its usually the kebabs that are all dried up rubbish, pizza normally good. Last chance, we won't be back.

I ordered a pizza and chips they said 30 mins for delivery we waited over an hour the pizza was cold and the chips was soggy my partner phoned up to complain and they said they would ring him back within a couple of mins we waited over 20 mins for a call back which we never revived my partner then phoned back to which they didn’t answer I then phoned them using my phone and they answered so clearly ignoring my partner I went in today and asked for a full refund for the pizza and chips as they wasn’t fit to eat he then said I never ordered chips and wouldn’t let me get a word in edgeways we’re regular customers here and never again there customer service is shockingly rude would not recommend here you will be greatly let down

I ordered a pizza at the counter from these idiots whilst on the dog walk (so no I wasn’t drinking). I stood in the doorway for 35 minutes before finally politely enquiring as to where the hell my food was. “Who are you?” “You didn’t order” I’m not stood here for a laugh mate. Flat out refused to hand over a refund despite the fact I was still holding the exact change and talking to the same guy. Reported a minor theft to the police but probably pointless.

great staff, quick delivery, always hot. No other place in buxton has a pizza oven like theirs. burgers are ace, kebabs better, pizza is amazing

Don’t ever order from Charcoal Grill in Buxton. We ordered, an hour an a half later it arrived cold. We rang up and they then said they would ring me back. They didn’t, so obviously I rang them, it took an hour for them to answer but they finally did, then they asked what part of it was cold and I said all of it, they called me an f**king liar and said they sent it out ‘straight away’ and ended the phone on me. So rude and such bad customer service.

Been using this place for years but tonight was the worst experience ever. I ordered and was told it would be 20 minutes (not a big order). Turned up late to be totally ignored (guy with top knot) who's extremely good at avoiding eye contact with customers. When I did manage to speak with him I was told 10 minutes. In short an hour after ordering I got my order (which he got wrong) because he hadn't properly listened to my order. When I asked why he had said 20 minutes when I phoned when he knew he couldn't do it in that time he replied saying he always says 20 minutes!!!! When he dropped some food he told me that it was my fault!!!!!!! Two final thoughts. He had been handling money, writing orders then picking cooked food out of the fryer baskets with his hands and putting it into trays for orders yeugh!! Lastly, don't order through just eat, he's really insulting and dismissing then. Such a pity usually decent food provided by long serving staff let down by an arrogant/incompetent front of house.

We loved our mixed kebab from here. The chicken donner was a highlight. The downside was they missed off our chicken nuggets and chilli sauce by the time we got back to our holiday park in longnor it was too late. So if collecting double check you have everything.

I've eaten at this places dozens of times and they have only got my order wrong ONCE true getting it wrong at all isn't great but it has only happened once out of probably at least 50 times and their pizza is the best I have ever had it is just fantastic I am vegetarian but from what I have heard from other people (and from the little bit that I ate before I was a vegetarian) their burgers and kebabs are great as well over all my favourite place in town and trust me i have eaten everywhere in town except one place. it is just so GREAT better than dominos better than any (pizza place) I have ever eaten at before, if you think I am wrong about any of this then please reply/ message me so we can discuss this further and by the way the latest that this website had available for date of visit was June 2020 the first time I went there was sometime in early 2018 I think. and I have been here 50+ times not just once as this website thinks

I’m sorry but the food is practically not even edible, So you think your safe with some desserts, you can’t go wrong surely with desserts, can you? WELL, they even come FROZEN I got delivered my Ben and Jerry’s and thought I would risk it with the cheese cake, risk NOT worth taking, got delivered rock hard cheese cake, you could frisbee that fu**er and knock Tyson Fury out. Highly DO NOT recommend.

These guys consistently smash it out of the park, their pizzas are to die for and at least for me they always deliver early or on time. Well done guys keep up the amazing work and service.

Chicken nuggets looked like they had been cooked over and over and very very cheap had no taste, same goes for the few chips we got. The curry sauce was nearly solid I should of got a pack of frozen oven fries and frozen saver chicken nuggets and would of been so much better

Always have lovely food from here, never had an issue with any food really. However when I order for 8pm so the kids are in bed, I am not happy receiving at 7.39 when the kids are still up! Leading to complaints off the children wanting food and mine and my partners tea being cold from sitting there for 20 mins while we sort the kids out!!

Absolutely delicious as always. The dominant chain has always been my guilty pleasure but I can heartily recommend Buxton Charcoal Grill and they are now the only place I order from for pizza. Their pepperoni pizza and wedges are incredible!!

Our food was great but it arrived 45 minutes to early. My husband wasn’t home (that’s why I ordered it at a particular time!) so it had to be warmed up in microwave. I will order again but I’ll order it later next time just in case it arrives early again!

What I like most about Charcoal Grill is the consistency of quality and service. Pizza, Burger or kebab always on time always spot on. They have my loyalty because they deserve it.

Have to pay for extra cheese as a topping which isn’t cheap but what a difference it makes , always add extra cheese here

Food was awful pizza was ok everything else was thrown away. Chicken kebab chicken was so burnt it was crunchy. Garlic bread was dry and think they forgot the garlic. Chips were dry, boys didn’t want the chicken nuggets they tasted like cardboard over cooked.
