Lovely pub. Very friendly, excellent Landlord, great food and excellent beers. Very good value for money. Went whilst on holiday in the area, and will most certainly be going again when I go back.

Tina gave us a warm welcome for our week-end at the Butchers Arms. We stayed in one of the three rooms adjacent to the pub. Although simply furnished the room was comfortable and very quiet. We enjoyed a delicious home made steak and kidney pie on Friday evening and a tasty, freshly cooked English breakfast. The pub is very conveniently located near to Aldeburgh, Minsmere and the Suffolk Coast so ideal for walkers or bird watchers.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime whilst doing a three-pub tour of Beccles for the Woodfordes beer trail. With it's excellent range of real ales, friendly and knowledgeable landlord and comfortable and welcoming decor, this pub was by far our favourite in Beccles. Recommended for those who like a good honest pint in friendly surroundings. Looking forward to returning in the autumn!

Often driven past this pub and thought it looked a bit too much like a sports pub but decided to give it a go to-day as it was listed in a local brewerys ale trail. Really it was much as I expected, 2 pool tables, a number of parents with children not all of them behaving in a manner condusive to others enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon pint. That said the real ale was well kept and customer comments on 'google' suggest the food is pretty good but we didn't try anything on this visit. Based on what we saw I have commented on how the food seems.

First time trying food at the dukes head with my partner since it has been taken over. Firstly I noticed the menus online are not updated price wise which the roasts have increased in price. I ordered
