Bushland Chippy in Northampton

Ordered from here before and usually good - worst food I’ve had today. Cold food, greasy soggy fish, fish cake overdone but still cold, wraps wrapped it paper bag and falling apart chicken over done, pie tasted odd didn’t eat it

Really bad driver knocked so loudly thought he was trying to brake the door down

Place an order explain to the girl that I had a onion 🧅 allergy and I did not want any contamination, before mine was ready when I noticed they were doing an order before me and they used the same tongs to pick up onions and then used the same thongs to pick up the lettuce 🥬 when I confronted them the manager started shouting saying we're not forcing you to have it but all the salad is chopped up on the same board out the back we kept saying I had an allergy and why wasn't it mentioned I would have made a different choice put the manager the irate and started to shout over my wife very rude had he taken the time to explain this they wouldn't have been a misunderstanding but then he got abusive as if it was my fault I told him we explained I had a food intolerance something that he signed in the shop say they understand when clearly they don't

Ordered the 2 small fish and large chips special, with 2 cans aswell. Both pieces of fish were huge, the chips were enough for 4 people. All really fresh and amazing value for money. Would highly recommend.

Burger was uneatable, chips looked like they had been reheated fish was overly greasy

Not the best meal we’ve had from here, the kebab meat was very dry, hard and cold, We ordered 2 doner kebabs, one had a reasonable amount of salad, the other had virtually none.

Friendly customer focussed environment. Food is always top notch. I recommend this place to everyone.

We were delivered the wrong order however after a phone call they made our order from fresh and delivered again super quick and was delicious!! Even though we had problems it was fixed without question super quick and that deserves 5* Thank you x

Once again our order was delivered to the wrong address even though they didn't have the code , and the staff refused to do anything thieving #####

Cold cold cold even the bags were cold when the driver handed them over food exposed in bags not wrapped properly this is slowly going down hill

Still waiting for our delivery after 24hrs. Maybe the food was great but, hard to review when it never arrived.

Food was delivered piping hot and very large portions (ordered regular cod and chips but would easily class as large). Really tasty and well-cooked. Only minor issue was 2 pieces of fish were wrapped together so the heat caused them to sweat a bit and the batter went a bit soft in place stuck to the paper. Still very tasty though!

Calzones were a little doughy and not very flavoursome.

Half of the order was missing. called 4/5 times - no answer. Food that did arrive wasn't bad but nothing special. Won't order again!

Unfortunately the last 2 Donner kebabs we have had have not been good. Meat dry and crispy. Will go elsewhere next time.

The fries with the scampi was good, the large portion of chips was well below standard. They were all small hard pieces and very difficult to eat. Not usual standard

Ordered 2 saveloys with a few other items saveloys were off they smelt and tasted awful ,contacted bushland. They weren't interested told me to contact deliver roo as they couldn't deliver anymore not that we wanted replacement s also the fries were cold and overcooked I will not be using them again bad customer service.

Fish and Chips excellent. £6.25 for 12 tiny little bits of chicken popcorn (and I mean tiny) a bit of a rip off. I can buy nearly 2 whole chickens for that price. You need to re consider that price. Thanks

Was delivered to number 18 when we are number 2 and only because our neighbours walked it up to us did we receive it so therefore it was cold

Had chicken shish kebabs. Sadly mega UNDER seasoned. Real shame as lots of it and fresh but very tasteless and bland, did not finish. Naan was okay and luckily we ordered chips & onion rings which saved the day. Will not be ordering again.

Was going to order off here from Justeat till i saw they wanted nearly £20 for delivery, absolute joke !!!

1 drink missing from the order all food very nice however a lot of bits in the chips will 100% use again though

My friend and I come here every tuesday on college break for CHIPPY TUESDAY! Not once have we considered the food to be unsatisfactory and distasteful. I personally order a half a pound cheesburger with large curly fries, it is the most divine piece of food to ever grace this planet. My friend is here with me right now and he says the food is 'magnificent and the staff members are welcoming and friendly' im proud to call this my chippy, glory be to bossman. Amen.

Food would have been perfect if it was cold. I had an update to say food was being delivered then it took just over half hour to arrive so it had to be reheated apart from this portions where big if only it arrived hot

The worst takeaway we have had in 10 years. Absolutely awful. The batter was cemented to the sausage, the roe was unbelievably pappy, the peas were like soup and looked like they had added colour and the chips were merely scraps and scrapings with very, very few actual pieces of potato that could be called a chip. Expect better Much better, given the price of fish and chips these days. Very disappointing.

Paid for a plastic bag and got a paper one Everything was cold And I'm less 1 miles away from the Chippy itself And the chips look like reheat

Not really sure what has happened to this place the food isn’t edible the kebab is super stiff and comes cold even on collection the chips are shocking they taste awfull and stale this isn’t just personal preferences it’s general rubbish and such a waste of your money, if you want your takeaway treat AVOID this place it won’t leave you satisfied nor pleased

I had fish and chips this evening and to say it was not great is a understatement, I have had my chip shop take away from this place for the past 5 years I haven’t been there for around 6 months and will not be returning do not waste your money on this place

Warning !! : this chip shop serves food they would not eat them selves, they have no care for the people they are feeding they have lost total interest

The fish and chips themselves tasted good, they both came fresh and hot. The portion sizes though, not great. The mushy peas though where awful, tasted like fish and had so much green dye in, I just had to bin it. Likewise the curry sauce lacked curry flavour and just tasted of fish, suspect it to had The in it... The dessert had so many e numbers in it, had to him that to. The delivery just made it on time, he was polite and friendly.

Absolutely love the Mighty Meaty Pizza with Chilli Sause base, potentially my favourite pizza I've had (other than Italy). Unfortunately, I didn't get the base that I asked for and it really wasn't as enjoyable.

Nice friendly chap delivered our order. Food was really good we had kebab and chips. Chicken was really tasty, lovely sliced salad and loads of chips.

Just had a gourmet bacon cheeseburger with fried onions, freshly cooked whilst waited, tasted fantastic. Nice, busy, clean & smiley staff cheers bushland 👍🏻

Just been voted the best chip shop in Northampton? It was the worst fish and chips we've ever had. Fish overcooked and chips undercooked. Won't order again
