Visiting Northampton for work and stumbled upon this place. £2.50 a pint. Atmosphere on a Weds night. Music playing. Seem to have a few locals who like a drink but it just adds to the atmosphere. Friendly punters and staff. OK I probably wouldn’t take the Mrs here but for me it’s a winner. 👍

i went in for a toilet with my friend as she waited outside the toilet for me and a rude lady started shouting at my friend and verbally abusing her telling her to go,she was not polite from the start and my friend had done nothing,i need a toilet as in pregnant and it’s 4pm there’s no reason 16 year olds should be refused the toilet,especially when we wasn’t doing anything wrong and didn’t try and order drink just needed a wee.i am furious as this should not be the way people are treated for needing a wee,could’ve politely asked us to leave and not shouted.

More like a youth club. Young child runners around unsupervised. Not sure on rules on children. Child was running out in the street. Bar staff turned a blind eye.

Denied me access to the disabled bathroom until they thoroughly questioned my disability as i don’t “look disabled enough” and should use the stairs. Hidden disability is a thing. Rude and Will not be going back.

Friendly atmosphere and cheap drinks. Much better than the bear and cheaper.

They only do bar food if u want food with yr drinks go to cornwaider they have a bigger kitchen but it's not own by a full family but still good vibe

Toilets need improving. Floors wet. Toilets need cleaning and it's quiet early. I dread to think at busy time. Beer is standard but the staff are friendly.

The staff were amazing so friendly and I will go back I will also highly recommend it to friends and family it’s great has a great atmosphere we loved it.

This property became better since the management change in may I believe. Much better place to enjoy.

Good centre of town pub, for meeting up and a new land lord and revamp that looks fab x get your bums in here! Now called the penny drop.

Vicke has been absolutely amazing!! Knowing mine and my partner’s situation and our little puppy she has always made sure we have water and is the most kindest soul, very welcoming and a lovely place to have a drink…cheap and very cheerful. The sun shines here everyday when Vicke is behind the bar trust us.

New Landlady is really making a difference. I visited as I was shopping in the Town and had a nice couple of pints whilst watching the Rugby. This place will be amazing I’m sure of it.

Having visited many pubs over the years, have to say the Saturday night dj needs some serious training. Too much vocal work and music totally unsuitable to the clientele. Mixing skills aren't bad but not sure drum and bass is the sort of style he should be going Down. Beer prices are reasonable so if your happy to sacrifice your eardrums for a pint then knock yourself out. This review is written by a proffesional mobile DJ and it's based on personal opinion. The bar staff are lovely

Good place to drink. DJ was the reason to the visit as my partner and I are friends with him (dj sol) good atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Nice to pop in there on a bright afternoon for a game of pool and a cold one; some interesting characters patronize this place (not necessarily a location with the most genteel clientele but great fun if you have confidence to "handle" all comers); great DJ Sol used to spin weekends 🔊🎧 - not sure if still there 😎

Good town centre location, close to all shops and bus routes, mainly serves the locals,of Northampton and the prices are reasonable. The pub is clean and tidy, no seats are available outside as of yet. Food available

Just love the new staff very friendly and make you feel welcome

A lot cleaner than in the past and alot of the trouble makers have been barred. New owners seem polite and staff are very friendly.

Love this little place everyone is very friendly and cheap drinks and good music to have a dance ,I'm from mk and I come here so it must be good .hope it does dj on a Friday aswell as satuetday but all in all great little place

Ok for a quick drink if nothing else is open. This place smells bad. There are homeless and loud people here, always.
