Busaba Eathai in Hackney

Entramos al restaurante y estábamos en un grupo grande (aunque no cenando juntos) la camarera seguía diciendo que no podía sentarnos juntos (explicó que no estamos juntos) y que solo somos 3 y el otro grupo es de 5 . Ella no fue comprensiva en absoluto y, finalmente, aunque a regañadientes, nos sentó a los tres al lado del restaurante y a los cinco al otro lado. Entonces ella no era amiga, casi quería pedir nuestro pedido y cuando llegó el momento de ordenar, no fue educada y parecía molesta por estar aquí. Mi hermana tenía una solicitud de no semillas de sésamo en el salmón y la camarera nos informó que no está autorizada para tomar ese pedido (no semillas de sésamo) y tendrá que hablar con el gerente, luego lo hizo y pasó el pedido. , cuando llegó la comida, las alitas de pollo se veían súper secas y solo huesos, explicamos que nos gustaría intercambiarlos y la razón por la cual y nuevamente a la camarera simplemente no le importó y después de darnos la sensación de no querer demasiado, recogió el plato y luego esperamos 20 - 25 minutos para el entrante cambiado. Mientras esperaba el entrante, la camarera quiso limpiar el plato que tenía mi hermana pero con el arroz todavía en el plato mientras esperaba que el entrante comiera con el arroz. También quería inclinarse sobre la mesa para recoger mi plato, que fue fácilmente quitado de mi lado (muy incómodo). En general, una experiencia muy incómoda y un personal súper antipático, la comida claramente también ha disminuido. Esta sucursal no debe ser visitada si necesita un ambiente agradable, lo que debería hacer como cliente.

I decided to choose Busaba Shoreditch branch to host my sisters bridal shower. We selected a set menu that consisted of abit of everything. Had booked for 2-4pm but was able to extend to 5:45pm. I just want to special mention David our lovely Spanish waiter. He was a true star!!! Considering the heightened hygienic climate we are currently in, it really didn’t faze him or our demands too much and it did not got unnoticed. He was extremely professional, attentive and friendly throughout the whole day with a calm well mannered presence. I think he also had fun cause we definitely did. I would like to think he did . The whole Busaba team made us feel so welcome and it was an extra cherry on top for the joyous occasion that people were raving about who was there and also who wasn’t. This venue has now surpassed all my expectations and will dine here more often.I’ve had several people comment on my insta stories and they were very surprised it was Busaba so I’m sure they will have more inquiries in future for their private dinning.Thank you all againDonny x

What a wonderful evening it was , this Tuesday , feasting over grilled tiger prawns, savoury chicken satay , red jungle curries and well executed Pad Thai.Excellent service by our Thai waiter , good Italian house red and warm inviting surroundings where the ingredients for a most memorable dinner .

Este es un vibrante restaurante tailandés y un centro social para amigos. Las grandes mesas cuadradas compartidas fomentan la conversación. Tuve diez Jungle Red Curry pollo con arroz y fue muy agradable. El personal es agradable y atento. Mi comida salió bastante rápido, no está mal para un jueves por la noche.

Visitamos para la oferta del menú a mitad de precio del 20 aniversario y nos volvimos locos por una variedad de nuestros favoritos. El famoso calamares era suave y gomoso, no crujiente y sabroso, y el arroz con cangrejo era insípido. Los rollitos de primavera eran increíbles, pero el curry verde y la gamba y la mantequilla rota eran muy inferiores a lo que esperaba aquí. El servicio fue bueno, el restaurante era hermoso pero la comida fue una decepción total. Me pregunto si fue por el hecho de que era a mitad de precio. Nunca me ha decepcionado con Busaba.Este en Bethnal Green Road es simplemente perfecto. El personal es muy amable, el lugar es muy espacioso y acogedor y, como siempre, la comida es deliciosa. Bien hecho ??

Busaba used to be a brilliant concept with fresh ingredients and friendly service. With each new owner of the business the quality has reduced while the decor and original menu has been retained. On this late lunch the squid was cold and tasted old, the chicken wings and lotus plant were overcooked to the point of being black and the rice was hard and inedible. Happily the duck and spinach were good.

I haven't been to Busaba for a few years. I came back last night and it's great in the same way I remembered. The green curry is unmatched!

I went a couple of days ago for a friend's birthday dinner and the service was excellent. We were looked after by Sam and he was beyond amazing. And patient considering many were late (we're very sorry). The food was excellent and thr waiting time wasn't long, at all. A revisit is definitely on the books. I loved my experience there.

Now where do I start with Myriam. Not only is she a delight to behold, she is the epitome of good service. Her quick wit, kind manner and all round good nature ensure her customers are left with nothing but pleasure and good humour. Good ole Myriam. What would we do without Myriam. Good grief, the way she served up that chilli beef bowl made me oh so very ravenous. I am the billi cheef to her chilli beef. Long live myriam and her myriad of wonderment. Restaurant was cool.

I have been by myself to Busaba!! Those days when you want to treat yourself... and actually I did!!! The food was amazing and the drinks super... but outstanding and worth of note was the staff... Karina was looking after my order, the managers, Leo was so precious, friendly and professional and Kamil, absolutely cool!!! It was a really nice time!!! I would suggest to everyone to have this experience!!!

My first ever visit to Busaba and I was amazed at the variety of vegan options. Full of flavours and so fresh. Very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.

I visited Shoreditch Busaba branch on a Saturday night last week with a group of friends. The atmosphere was amazing, we felt very well looked after. Food came all together which we were warned about by our server. Everything was super tasty, especially the calamari! I would 100% recommend this restaurant if you’re out and about in Shoreditch and are looking for a nice and quick place to eat.

Nous sommes allées entre amies dans ce restaurant et nous en sommes ressorties avec un sentiment plus que mitigé. Si les fish cakes étaient bons (quoique très gras), la soupe Tom Yam était juste très mauvaise:un goût horrible de fromage, seule "saveur" de cette soupe insipide! Le pad thaï, dans être mauvais, n'avait rien d'extraordinaire, personnellement je l'ai trouvé trop sucré à mon goût. Le service est rapide mais pas franchement agréable, on a l'impression d'embeter les serveuses plus qu'autre chose. Et impossible de demander des nouilles en accompagnement. Le canard du menu "festif" était gras et dans intérêt. Seul point positif :le cadre est sympa. Bref, moi qui adore la cuisine thaï j'ai été très déçue, je n'y retournerai pas.

If you want to have dinner with little mouse, you can come here for it. Went to Busaba Shoreditch around 6 o’clock in the evening of 22 December for dinner with my friends, the food was alright, nothing overwhelming bite. Went to the toilet and it was clean but on my way back to my table, I saw a little mouse passing through on the ground from table to table, there was another customer saw it as well and we both felt so unbelievable what we just saw. That is totally unacceptable. I told my friends the situation and we got the bill paid and get out of the restaurant quick! Would rather go to another place to have a great chat and drink. A nice, good vibe restaurant shouldn't be like this and I think I won’t come over this restaurant again to have meals even though the service is good.

busaba shoreditch staff took good care of us. the coctails were fab and the food was delicious! there was ample space and it is a well designed modern interior. the final bill was reasonable too! overall we loved it.

Recommended to us by a friend, loved the atmosphere, was lively but not too noisy. The restaurant had a really chilled friendly vibe. The food and cocktails were insane, they weren't too expensive, filled us up and exceeded our expectations - compliments to the chef! Our waiter, Oliver, was polite and attentive, which really added to the experience. Would highly recommend.

adult portions are same as children portions from the kids menu, but the manager gave me another portion .

Love the Busaba chain, but the Shoreditch branch really let me down. Disappointed on the service.

If you are after a proper Thai restaurant I am sure you can find more authentic, but Busaba is great. You know what you get And the environment and decor is definitely nicer than traditional asian restaurants! The calamari is delicious as starter, popular dish for my friends is the pad thai but I have explored other dishes which are nice (try laksa soup if you like spices and soup of course). Yesterday we tried their birthday specials and it was nice. If you don’t like spicy food make sure you check or ask and it will be easy to find something to please your palate!

Enjoyed a business lunch here. The atmosphere is relaxing, with water, incense and soft music. The food is good value (around 11 pounds for a main) and good quality. I enjoyed a dish called dragon something-or-another and the triple fried tofu was lovely and chewy! Thai restaurants can be hit and miss but this one was really good. The service was extremely quick and all the dishes came out together. Would come again.

Chance encounter after wandering along Brick lane's vintage and leather goods shops. Use to dine in the city restaurant near Wimpole st. over 8 years ago. Had a lunch meal and drink- quality ingredients. Enjoyed the chosen meal.

Excellent place for Thai dishes. We have shared classic pad Thai, pad Thai with chicken, jasmine beef rib and Thai char-grilled half chicken. All were delicious.

As a deliveroo fanatic (I’ve ordered more from here than I’ve cooked at home). Decided to make a visit here as the queue elsewhere was too much.

I would consider this more a Thai fusion than authentic Thai food. Fried spring rolls as oposed to fresh, etc. The lobster special was good. The Sen Chan pad Thai was not spicy as advertised, and the crab was canned - dsappointing. The overall atmosphere was upbeat and the place is clearly popular. The servers seemed to be inexperienced and not very efficient. Although this seems to be the overall theme of service in Europe compared to the US where servers hustle for tips.

The interior has good lighting, dark woods, the smell of incense. The food is good - I like the pad thai jay (tofu one.) The service is always friendly and professional.

Im a big busaba fan for past 15yrs, this branch however did disappoint slightly, waited ages to order, lady couldnt understand english well so we waited for another waitress, ordered food, was as expected except the portion of calamari has gone smaller in this branch. So we will return to a different busaba not here.

Two visits in two days as the food was so good! Plenty of variety on menu and well priced. When our choices arrived, their aroma prompted eating rather than taking pictures. Very flavoursome and well sized.

This is a really nice restaurant. The delicious smell hits you as soon as you go in. The menu is extensive and the food delicious. Of particular note the chicken satay is the best I’ve ever had! Sooo tender and a really tasty, chunky sauce. Would recommend.

I came here for my Birthday on a Saturday night. One month before the dinner I had communicated with the staff previously online and had booked a table for 13, I was recommended the best way to proceed was a banquet which I then ordered for 12 as one of us had a nut allergy. We paid a deposit online.

The food at Busaba is incredible, quite expensive for what it is but it offers great vegan and vegetarian options. The weeping tiger dish is wonderful.

A friend of mine has spoken positively of this place and I did not hesitate to land there for my first lunch in London.

I got the shrimp/noodle soup, which was quite spicy for me coming from the Greek region, average spicy for Asians. However the taste was amazing. Unfortunately after an hour or so I had to run to the toilet several times in order for it to show its way out the rear door, if you know what i mean... Could been a rogue batch or something else went wrong in the kitchen.

We arrived on mothers day, no booking for a table. The restaurant was semi-busy, but we ended up waiting an age for them to clear a table. They were also unable to supply a high chair for our son. Having a 15 month old boy sat on a normal chair with plates, knives and forks in front of him was a nightmare - I had to go back to the car to get his pram. We later saw an unused baby chair tucked away in a corner.

Lunch was amazing had calamari for starters which is soooo tasty best calamari I’ve had that’s not too fried. Meals came very hot in temperature and staff super kind and friendly

We had been to Busaba Shoreditch this Sunday. The Decor of the place from the pictures looks nice, however, when you visit the place there are way too many tables. Having gone there for a family dinner , we dint find the space we wanted as the table next to us was way too close. We tried the green curry and the wok fried noodles, the food was quite average , the portions were small too. The service was good undoubtedly, however, the value factor was missing.

Really enjoyed my recent meal at the Shoreditch branch of Busaba. The food is really high quality authentic Thai . The dinner room has a lovely laid back ambience. The service isn't overly attentive. We had to call our server over several times, but this is casual dining rather than formal, and the quality of the food and drinks more than made up for this.

Loved Busaba, which there were more in the SW London area.

Lekker Thais gegeten. Sfeer was goed. Bijna niet hoeven wachten. Redelijke porties. Zou niet speciaal voor om lopen, maar was niet slecht. Bediening was vriendelijk.

We recently went to Busaba shoreditch for a birthday celebration. There were 15 of us in the private dining area upstairs. We booked in advance and the restaurant called us a few days before the booking to ask us to pre order all of our starters and mains to avoid any delays given the size of our group. As challenging as this was getting so many people to choose in advance we understood the request and we got it done.

Que dire de plus ? La carte est complète, les menus variés et très bons, le décors est magnifique. Nous avons passés un très bon moment ! Les serveurs sont chaleureux, et les prix sont correctes. Nous ne pouvons que conseiller, et si nous avons l'occasion de revenir, l'adresse est enregistrée !

Ended up heading here after it started raining, it was about 3pm on a Sunday and was very quiet. Food was good & love the decor. If you go you HAVE to try the calamari!

We eat Thai every time we are visiting London and Busaba has always been our choice. Last weekend we tried the Shoreditch restaurant and it confirmed our expectations : quick service and excellent food, very nice decor and friendly staff. Really loved it and we will surely come back next time we are in the neighborhood.

Voor wie in London in de buurt van de Tower bridge is en zin heeft in Thais eten, kan op wandelafstand dit restaurant vinden. ¿Cómo podría este restaurante tener tantas y buenas críticas? La comida no es tailandesa. El sabor no es tailandés. Probablemente también el chef NO ES TAILANDÉS. Tuve (mal) edamame picante (otra vez ESTO NO ES COMIDA TAILANDESA). Luego el plato de la firma (?): Pollo al curry verde: ¡el pollo era terrible! Finalmente probé el langostino frito en salsa de albahaca y hierba de limón: el único plato que se puede comer. Yo diría un desastre - cena.

I visited recently with a couple of friends. Nice ambience, warm service and delicius food. I will definitelly be returning.

This is one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. We arrived as a group of 10 girls. We sat down and waited 45mins before our order for drinks was taken. We had ordered 3 cocktails and 5 cokes and was handed 3 cocktails and 2 cokes 15mins later. we had to ask a further 2 times for the other cokes. There were a number of waiters in the area and was ignored a couple of times when I asked for help. The waiter pretended he didn't hear me when I know he did. One of the waiters even stepped on my foot and waited for me to react before giving half an apology.

I booked Busaba Shoreditch for my 30th birthday. I had to pay a deposit of £5 per person upon booking. The food was nice but the service was poor - staff were unattentive and then took away plates whilst some group members were still eating. I only realised when I got home that they had not taken my deposit off the bill. When I called, it was a difficult process to be refunded and I have still not received the money (over a month later). Not impressed at all...

I used to love Busaba. Now I will never go back. We ordered some starters to share before our mains and they bring them on the table with all our mains because it’s called “small plates” so they are not starters. The Pad Thaï was tasteless like the starters.

I was visiting busaba at soho since it had opened many years ago. It was one of my favorite tai. I was at shoreditch for a day walking around and when I saw that occupies a place there I get in for lunch. it is difficult to understand where the entrance is since it is a little hidden by a burger place. the food was really mediocre and the service very indifferent. very sad because I used to love it

Visité los tazones de Busaba en Shoreditch con amigos para un almuerzo. Los tazones de Busaba sirven excelente cocina tailandesa. No en vano, el restaurante está muy bien cuidado y decorado estéticamente. Pedimos platos tailandeses y no nos decepcionó! ¡Mis tallarines vegetarianos se prepararon según solicitud! El servicio fue agradable. Las mesas son de tipo comunal, con una docena de personas sentadas alrededor de una mesa cuadrada grande. Ellos sí tienen cuencos de almuerzo por un diezmo si te apetece.

Food was okay. Service okay. Vegetarian and vegan options are present. Seating outside is warm. Standard experience where you can easily get seated on Friday or Saturday. Nothing outstanding.

Had a great time on a busy Saturday night with friends. I tried the calamari and their white pork speciality after a recommendation. It was a good choice, really delicious. Will definitely come again.

Personale molto disponibile e locale molto accogliente. Abbiamo provato vari piatti e siamo rimasti tutti molto soddisfatti sopratutto i noodels nelle varie scelte ( i noodels vegetariani erano ottimi). Sicuramente un posto dà consigliare.

Modern large busy restaurant. Food was tasty but service very average, not expecting anything special but we just felt like a spare part. Some food obviously been waiting before it came to us - not hot. It looked like take-aways were going out quicker than our food. The most enthusiastic greeting was from Asian chef behind the counter as we left. Then they add 12% to the bill, I normally leave at least that but like the choice.

This place is excellent! It was a last minute find as we were craving Thai food and it was close to where we were staying. The food and drinks were delicious and great service. Would highly recommend.

I went to Busaba with a colleague and really enjoyed the food. The service was good but the restaurant was really busy, making it very noisy for a Thursday night. Drinks were overpriced.

We ordered from the set menu and I got the crispy duck noodles and Peach and Rosehip tea over ice. My friend got the pad thai with lemongrass tea over ice. Both teas did not have taste and my one was warm, I wasn’t sure what this was suppose to be. The noodles used in the duck noodles reminded me on instant noodles. The taste was ok but I wouldn’t choose these dishes again. The service was very slow.

The food was great I only can recommend it (the calamari was the best). The srevice went smooth, our waiter, Csaba was really kind and helpful.

Been going there for my birthday for the past couple of years & the foods been great, hence my 3rd revisit this year. It has a lovely atmosphere & attentive enough staff. But after ordering & having our dinner with my partner, I/we got to say, the food/deserts have all gone down hill, a major disappointment, it lacked the original true taste of Thai @ the quality of food looked as though it was cooked the day before & re-heated & served the following day..For what I paid, it was well below for what it was. Quality of food, presentation needs to be improved, if you’re going to charge a premium price, or I suggest it’s no better than a buffet meal. Doubt I’ll be visiting that branch of Busaba again
