Temple of Seitan in Hackney

Comida fría no es genial Mi hamburguesa era al menos comestible caliente. Mis muchachos amigos tenía frío y cuando se quejó no se creía como “cocinado de fresco” después de hablar con el gerente accedió a hacer uno nuevo. ¡Cuando llegó el nuevo estaba congelado en el medio! De nuevo se negaron a creerme hasta que insistí en que un dedo estaba metido en el medio... Luego me creyeron y me ofrecieron más hamburguesas. Me negué y siento que este es mi único recurso.

Esperé una hora para un batido de leche. Me dijeron 20 por el batido cuando pedí mi comida así que estaba bien, estoy esperando de todos modos. Luego dijeron 15 más y me dijeron 5 para que la leche estuviera lista. Estos tiempos no eran exactos. Uno de los miembros del personal está sentado en una computadora sin hacer nada y luego me quito la comida y el envoltorio no está envuelto correctamente y uno de los chapuzones que pagué tampoco estaba allí.

This is the first and possibly the last vegan restaurant I will visit. This would not have been my first had I known from the outset that it was vegan. Your vegan sign is very small and you call your chicken, chick'n, a play on words but misrepresentation. I had the buffalo burger which was not as per the picture. Totally underwhelming. Not an enjoyable experience. I also sent feedback which has been ignored. No customer service then?

Food is lit, hits the spot. Staff are nice, Himanshi is always a good vibe and polite. I usually get the wings (rotate between sauces) and Mac and cheese

I feel like this place has gone downhill. I ordered the Chicken 'wingz' which were not wing style, they were rectangle undercooked and spongey like consistency seitan. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the mac and cheese was nice although the flavour was not consistent to the end and the biscoff cheese cake was ok. I ordered from here because oowee closed down, but I wouldn't order again

The food was ok, the macaroni and cheese was really good. Unfortunately the service was terrible, rude and unfriendly personnel that even snapped at us because we asked for additional sauce (that we were willing to pay for). In addition, the personnel was very slow because they were chit chatting in the kitchen. What a disappointment!

I had a burger from here and it really just tasted like they needed to change the oil. Really oily greasy tasting and made me feel quite unwell for rest of the day. My friends who also ate with me felt the same and we won’t be going there again. You’d be better off just getting a vegan McDonald’s or veggie chicken shop burger to be honest.

We carried out recent works at this site, however they failed to pay for our services. I have been chasing the outstanding invoice for quite some time and as a small business we are very disappointed with Temple of Seitan's attitude towards us. I have tried to contact site to get payment, to no avail. We are very disappointed. We would like to let other businesses know before they carry out any works at this site.

The food was okay but was very stodgy we got the Popcorn Bites, The portion size was very big and because the Screen didn't advertise it properly we weren't able to get a refund, even though the food wasn't touched. I would say a one off visit and wouldn't come here again.

I visited Temple of Seitan after Googling "best vegan restaurants in London" and my date picked it from the list as he had heard that it was good. I had the garlic parmesan wings with fries, mac n cheese and gravy and it was genuinely the best fast food I've had since I stopped eating meat 2 years ago. The gravy in particular was absolutely delicious, but everything I ordered tasted really good. On top of this, the staff were nice and the diner had great vibes. I will 100% go again next time I'm in Camden and hope that they will be able to expand the franchise further.

So yummy - definitely worth trying these Seitan versions of burgers/ wings etc!! I enjoyed the Nashville ‘chicken’ burger with fries - amazing :)

I first tried the vegan chik’n at “The Temple” in Hackney in 2017, and I was immediately hooked. While I’ve been a vegetarian for nearly 30 years, I overheard a meat eater say, “this is the best chicken sandwich I ever had.” I couldn’t agree more! Since my first visit, I seek out vegan chik’n, and I’ve yet to find a place in the UK or in the USA that does vegan comfort food better than The Temple does. Every time I’m in London, I make it a point to visit The Temple, which now has four locations! Whether on my own, delivered to my home, or out with friends, you won’t find better vegan comfort food than this!

Well, I’ve gotta say- it lives up to the hype. We arrived just at lunch time, had to wait as problems being the fryer but the manager was really nice and also offered us complimentary drinks whilst we waited. Really enjoyed the food and friendly customer service. Will visit again!

Ordered 2x temple burgers from the hackney store using the app (the only way to order at the time). The app was awfully glitchy and kept crashing after payment, without accepting the order. I eventually got my food - after a 35 min wait. Food was okay. Two days later I had been charged over £60 for the burgers as the app had charged me three times for one order. I spoke to the man at the register who dismissed me, telling me to email about it. I sent an email explaining everything, pictures and all, and over 4 weeks later I'm still waiting for a reply. I've been back and forth with their app customer service for over a week now, who apparently has passed the issue to Head Office, who are now unreachable and have been sitting on the issue for over a week with absolutely no communication. All I want is a refund, as they cannot possibly justify charging me three times for one order and get away with it? I don't see why this is taking so long, nor why it seems to not be important to them to give good service? For a company that preaches community values and ethics, they sure are money-grabbing and rude. Thoroughly discourage anyone from eating here - they don't care about the customer at all.

First time order ever, we ordered 2 cheese burger combos online, waited for delivery, and only received 1 combo yet 2 combos is clearly printed on the receipt stapled to the flipping bag!
