Went for steak night but extremely disappointed. Asked for medium steak but was more rare.Few soggy chips, hard peas and two underdone soggy onion rings. No salad as advertsed. Food was also cold. Asked for a prosecco and was told had no cold ones . Was given small one off top shelf behind bar but when I opened it it was completely flat and very yellow so I think it must have been on the shelf a long while! Lady opened big bottle which again came from top shelf so was not cold but was bubbly. Can't believe there was no bottles in wine fridge. Sticky toffee pudding was good though. Seeing as there was just one other couple in the restaurant there really was no excuse for steak meal being so poor as kitchen not rushed. Won't be rushing back!!!

A group of us 17 had our lunch here today and it was wonderful. The selection of starters, main course and sweets was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere festive. Most of all the price was exceptionally good. I would highly recommend the Burntisland Golf House Club

After completing our round we made our way into the bar and dinning area where on this day there was a carvery set up. The meal was really nice, the cuts of meat were delicious and there was a good selection of veg, roasties, potatoes and yorkshire puddings. The staff were polite, well presented and prompt. The dinning area was spacious and well set out. The toilets were clean.

worth the visit. restaurant/food order clean and helpful albeit food choices are rather limited. staff friendly and the views make up for the shortfall in food variety available.

Visited restaurant several times and attended golf club functions; never disappointed. Fish teas are scrumptious, steak nights more than value for money. Staff very welcoming and service excellent.

First time visit on recommendation at lunchtime. Staff were friendly, efficient and kept us informed of the progress of our meal. Our order was being cooked fresh and they were good sized portions. We were able to choose our own table and took one at the window. Although it over looked the main car park there was also a good view of the Forth and the bridges. the other side was a pleasant view of the Binn hill. It was only let down by the 'tired' decor and dusty window sill. The gents toilet was well below par, smelly, broken toilet seat, urinals that were too high and needs refurbished urgently. None of these negative points would stop us from going again as we enjoyed our lunch served by friendly staff. Give it a try.

This one of the oldest golf courses in the world and has fantastic catering. The food that comes out of the kitchen is of high end restaurant quality. Their theme nights are well attended, thoughtfully presented and great value. If you're not into golf, try the restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

We visited this local golf course on Sunday the 7th of June with a party of 19 golfers which was organised by my brother. The food was great, with good service and a lovely golf course. We will return again.

On Sunday, we played in the mixed open. It stayed dry but the wind was fierce. After the game, we chose to eat in the clubhouse. A good idea! We shared the Brie and mango parcels. Then we each had the Sunday special, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potato, crunchy seasonal veg and extra new boiled potatoes and roast potatoes. A real treat and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit!

Visited here with family for a second time. This time we were there for carvery, but it was really disappointing compared to the lunch we had there previously. Dry meat, soggy roast potatoes and a very poor vegetable selection. If you are going to visit here avoid the carvery as it seemed much better when the food was cooked fresh to order.

Went here for lunch with my family. Great food and the prices are ridiculously low. I don't know how they stat in business but that is not important when the food is so nice

Arranged to meet friends here for a lunch and a catch up. This is a very popular visit with very pleasant surroundings through a very large conservatory contributing to a very well lit area. There are a number of tables within the conservatory and your extensive menu is on the table. There are hot and cold food choices ordered at the server and brought to your table. We opted for chicken and rice soup and tomato and vegetable soup. To accompany the soup we ordered cheese and onion toasties and cheese and ham. We had carrot cake put aside for later that was the last of it. The chicken soup had a distinct homemade stock flavour with generous amounts of chicken through the rice and veg. The toasties came with crisps and side salad and coleslaw on the side. They were very well cooked with a generous filling. Finally the piece de resistance the home baking carrot cake came bursting with flavour very moist and topped with a very sweet icing. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.

Had afternoon Tea today(Sunday). The view is stunning, overlooking the golf course and the Forth. We had to wait around 10 minutes and received 4 types of sandwiches, a plain scone and fruit scone and a variety of cakes. The scones were some of the best I’ve ever had- warm from the oven, the cakes were light. We received a bottle of water and large pot of tea but had to ask for glasses. The toilets were a bit more dated than the restaurant but clean

When the weather turns cold, shops closed, you don’t want a restaurant, just a cuppa, Alexander and George will make you welcome. Enticed by the chips! Feel much better now. Thanks guys!

Great location on the Old Course. Beautiful modern terrace on the top floor with stunning views across the fairways to the sea. So wanted to like this place but were disappointed. Food was standard golfing fare - steaks and lobster - OK but nothing special . Wine list reasonable for price and choice. What lets the place down is the lack of management oversight. Tables with broken legs, jet lagged golfers asleep in the lobby, incredibly noisy ambience all overseen by a well meaning but overwhelmed serving staff. Not what you expect when paying $400 for a meal for two. Dinner took three and a half hours. We had to track down staff to order wine, coffee and get the check. Could be a good dining alternative to the Old Course Hotel but its let down badly by the service. Seems its owned by one of those absentee investment companies and it shows .

What a venue !! Charming with a historical room to be seen to be believed (clipper room) ! I cannot say enough about the owners and staff who made me feel welcomed and could not do enough ! I was there for a music gig with friends and the music room venue was brilliant , atmospheric and intimate ! The hotel is in a lovely location with historical sites , coastal walks and a golf course nearby.
