Burgerlicious in Middlesbrough

I went to Middlesbrough for the fourth time, and I was craving a smash burger. I heard about this place called Burgerlicous and decided to check it out. We ordered the Licious Smash, Fish Burger, and half Philly Cheese Steak Burger, along with some curly fries and a non-genocidal cola (props to them for that). The smash burger was on point! The fish burger reminded me of McDonald's Filet-O-Fish, which wasn't bad. Philly was a bit hit-or-miss, but overall, it was a good experience. The service was quick, and the place was cosy. I'll definitely go back again.

40 pound for crap food philly cheese steak nothing like advertised in pictures meat was like horrible grissly mince meat in ugly bread not toasted atall no onions or peppers just a luke warm cheese sauce loaded fries were same just some nuggets chopped up and put on with like warm sauce even the drinks were bad stale flat warm with no ice terrible food used to be ok when first opened but gone realy downhill won't be going back

Burgers are cracking , better than 5guys and cheaper . Chips generally class also . Getting 2-1 on Uber eats on certain days/products makes it extra cheap . Eaten in once was nice clean , good atmosphere, good staff who followed my fussy instructions well.

Ordered the Philly cheese steak to work and by God wow the flavour is absolutely sensational. My colleague order the fried chicken pieces and gave me one and again absolutely sensational. better than KFC. Fantastic. My new favorite takeout by far

Got a philly cheesesteak for me and my partner, it was absolutely tiny and the 'steak' was more like mince. 20 quid for 2 meals delivered and it wasn't worth half that, really disappointed.

Now ive been to a lot of burger places in the area but nothing could have prepared me for the sheer beauty of burgerlicious. Me and my partner had planned on taking the burgers home to eat but after smelling the mouthwatering delight in the brown paper bag we had to park up and eat. I inhaled my burger in 5 minutes while my girlfriend took her time and savoured it. Either way in my opinion is acceptable. Thank you burgerlicious. I will be returning very soon.

Frequented this place alot from when opening always unreal . been a few months since so give it a go tonight shame to say very disappointed food is average defo not worth the price hike £27.50 for 2 burgers 2 sides 2 fries and 2 drinks with 4 sauces. chicken strips smaller than previously and very dry if wasn't for the unchanged house sizzler sauce would of been returned.burger wasnt much better.. quality is dropping I'd happily pay for quality but simply this wasn't met so will be going elsewhere

Mixed Experience with Notable Customer Service I recently ordered the regular red Donner kebab meal from Burgerlicious Middlesbrough. While the kebab had a nice taste, it arrived partly cold, affecting the overall experience. On a positive note, the salad was fresh and well-presented, and the chips were exceptionally crispy with delightful dips. Upon expressing my concern about the cold kebab, the staff at Burgerlicious was outstanding. They promptly exchanged my meal for a fresh Oldham chicken burger meal, which was hot and satisfying. The unique and delicious taste of the guava drink added a refreshing touch to the overall dining experience. Despite the initial hiccup, the commendable customer service and tasty alternatives turned the situation around, leaving me appreciative of the staff's understanding and willingness to ensure customer satisfaction.

Forgot the double cheese burger the main part of my meal, chips were stale and the chicken was soaked in grease. Usually excellent food not sure what went wrong but they didn't seem fussed when I told them over the phone.

It was lovely there! The food is very good and you get a lot for your money. I will go there again for sure 😍

Dirty staff. I cannot believe my own eyes! I witnessed a staff member using chip tongs to toss chips into the trash. These tongs ended up in the garbage, got contaminated by numerous bugs, and were then used to handle fresh chips... what a joke of system, I cannot believe we still have dirty scums operating in UK food stores.

I am very disappointed with them getting rid of them tea pots and now get served In them stupid take out cups, I'm always coming here with friends to sit in but unfortunately I won't be coming back, the karak tea don't taste the same, spoke to staff and been told it's new owners.

Amazing burgers. The meal deal for 2 is an awesome deal and well worth the £23.00. 2 burgers, 2 fries, 4 dips and 2 sides.

Ordered form here on Uber eats after an hour and a half wait was told that the food had just left called back 45 minutes later and was told the food had been out for 2 hours food never arrived shop apologised for the issue will not be ordering from here again. Have had food previously and it was great was very disappointed in Uber eats unfortunately not the shops fault.

To be honest it was ok, not ‘omg amazing I’ll be back!’ I went because of all the reviews I had read. The cold brioche bun sealed the deal for me. The entertainment was great, random kid doing cartwheels throughout the place.

I recently went to Burgerlicious on a day out in Middlesbrough, the place itself is nice and clean but there are a few downsides to the place which I will get onto. We ordered the meal for two, plus an extra cheesy chips. The burger itself was very nice and saucy, the chips were nice but far too salty! Unfortunately the food being too salty happened to be the case with their chicken wings/strips too! The cheesy chips was cheese sauce as oppose to real cheese which was quite a let down as in my opinion cheesy chips should be chips with cheddar grated on top! The sauces delivered with the meal were quite unappealing, there was a chunky sauce (burger sauce?), ketchup, sweet chilli, mayo, chilli and garlic sauce. Unfortunately none of them were nice, I believe they’re just shop bought generic sauces, and nothing made in house. The chilli sauce could’ve been massively improved by making their own. My burger was cooked fine but my wife’s burger was burnt and far too crispy (smash burgers), so I would maybe go again, or try somewhere else. Also when ordering they should specify if you’re eating in or out, and have table numbers to deliver the food to the table, that would’ve also made it more organized.

My first time eating from here and I have to say I wasn’t that impressed. The food to me felt average. My order was the smash patty burger which was dry and the meat felt a little overcooked, the chicken burger which was a standard chicken burger you get everywhere, Philly Cheese Steak which was not very tasty it was a smash patty diced up and mixed with some chilly and cheese and placed in a baguette and finally the Red Donner which was very salty. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the chips and the strawberry mojito, otherwise I felt the food was just average.

We have eaten there food is good except for fish which we had to return it because it’s not fresh.

Price is amazing for amount/quality of food. Food is very good, burgers excellent especially. Interior of restaurant is nice and tidy. Also have a loyalty card system

Tried this place twice now and both times the food was amazing! Very tasty burgers and sides with very generous portion sizes. Highly recommend trying this place.

Staff were a bit rude and service was okay at best. The smash burger was excellent, and I highly recommend it, but the fish burger tasted bad and is tiny.

Only thing good about this place is the service (clean, quick order, food ready quickly and looked quite aesthetically pleasing), then you’d also go here if you’re looking for a photo op venue as a ‘bloggers’. But if you’re coming here for the burgers, then just allow it and don’t waste any time or money here. Might as well go to your local kebab shop as this place is using the same pre-made burger patties for their cheeseburgers! And it’s small burgers. A lot of these place think they can make burgers, but they’ve never tried a dirty burger from places like dirty burger which is in Shoreditch, East London

Don't use rear carpark delivery service they issue a parking fine if you're over 15 minutes and it doesn't mention anything on website and there's no signage, we were parked for 17 minutes because they were running late with delivery. Very tasty food and drink range and lovely staff apart from the boss who seems grumpy.

Just tried this fir the first time . WOW WOW WOW . Got the Licuous double mash burger. Came with 4 x 3Ounce patties. Has to be the most delicious burger I have ever tasted beautiful flavour and the fries are cooked really well nice & crispy fries . The sauces are amazing too. And sooo resonanably priced . A credit to them for this fine Establishment

Great burger place with amazing food. The portion sizes are decent and the price is appropriate. I had the mixed chicken and beef smash burger and pleasantly enjoyed it. I also tried the red donner and it was good but nothing mind blowing. If they made it more spicy with some fresh salad served on the side, it would have been better. However, we did buy some sauces to add on top and it did make it better. They have a good menu and the vibes in this place are good. Nice burger joint in middlesborough if you don’t fancy a parmo.

It was a disaster, it was the worst burger in my life, the burger smells like blood, there is no spice in it to make the meat have better taste!!!! Totally waste of money.

The food served was expensive, I felt that for the 4 of us sitting in the food quality we got was not worth more than £25, when we left even my kids said they wished we had a McDonald's instead, or a weatherspoons it would have been better value for money. But it cost us near £60 we will never eat here again, the area is very rough too not a safe part of town so not a good place to feel safe and not very clean was food around the floor.

Unprofessional staff members, overpriced the burger was really awful which was chunky and not cooked fries were fairly good but other then that not worth it also ordered 2x Large fries and one was for when we were eating in and also ordered one to go and the eating in one was significantly smaller! Wouldn't recommend better takeaways out there.

Got the smash burger box meal. Really great food, huge portions and a good price. The fried chicken side was better than some dedicated fried chicken shops!

Heard so many good things about this place I had to try it...so I did... If you enjoy a realy good high quality burger with super fresh ingredients then you will absolutely love the pictures on the wall because the burgers are nothing like the pics...couldn't eat my smash burger as after one greasy gelatinous mouthful I had to pick the burger and its greasy contents up off my tray. How difficult is it to make a burger...very..according to the 3 chefs....do yourself a favour go to macdonalds ..the foods just as bad but you don't pay £8.50 for the privilege.

Pretty nice place, best beef burgers I've had in Middlesbrough the prices are deffo worth for what you get. The Red Kebab is my favourite especially for how hard it is to come across good kebab in Middlesbrough.

Absolutely loved this place. Haven't had many decent burgers up north until we hit this place, wow the food is delicious, the burgers are stunning. The place is beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful and to top it off they do fantastic Chai too. A great place to come eat would highly recommend, we enjoyed everything about this place.

Unreal burgers, competitive prices and great service!

First visit today and was blown away. Curly fries were brilliant and burger was fresh and flavourful 👌🏻 Friendly staff and restaurant was clean and had loads of seating. We will definitely be coming back.

This place started off fantastic but has since gone downhill. I ate in the first time and it was beautiful, I had the double Oldham burger. I have had 2 takeaways since then and both of the Oldham burgers have been soggy and full of bad bits (gristle) the crispness of the coating on the chicken is no more, it’s all soggy and falls off the chicken which also causes the bun on the bottom to be all soggy and floppy. My dad did however really enjoy his extreme smash burger. Curly fries with cheese sauce are lovely. Gutted about the Oldham burgers though, it’s really put me off

Fantastic burgers, quick service. Choice of eating in or takeaway (can't go wrong with either). The chicken wings and strips are average and similar to ones you get in most takeaway shops. You get multiple options of tasty burgers and sides with very good prices for the quality and quantity. The philly steak is my favourite and the meat has zero fatty taste to it with delicious cheesy sauce. Overall awesome food and will definitely go again.

Fantastic burgers and were kind enough to honour discount for my meal as I booked the food on the day of the deal for the next day. My own mistake so didn't have to honour it! Great bunch of guys!

Customer service is horrendous. Staff and manager are all clueless. Not focused at all. Food is good but the service spoils the whole place. You order a tea and got no cup. Ordered ice-cream got no spoon.... these are basic things that they easily got wrong, then the staff laughed when I brought it to their attention. Really not good Toilets are so dirty !!! Yuck

First time ordering from this place and I have to say I’m very impressed! The customer service was excellent, food arrived very quickly and was delicious. My mum is quite picky when it comes to burgers but even she was impressed! We ordered the family meal for 4 and the portions were spot on, the smash burgers were delicious and the chicken strips were perfect! Overall a great deal for the amount of food we got. So for anyone thinking about ordering, give it a go! I had to specify what sauces and sides I wanted in the notes section before ordering and I was a little worried that they’d over look it but there’s no reason to worry they sent over everything. 10/10 recommend!!

I tried this place on the way back to London. The food was amazing and full of flavour. The staff were very pleasant. The food arrived piping hot and my children who are normally very fussy all loved it. This shop deserves to be supported and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes Burgers.

Finally, Middlesbrough has produced an eating experience to write home about! I am a woman who is very hard to please (much to the dismay of one's other half) especially when it comes to takeaway night. Middlesbrough dons such a vast array of eateries it soon becomes a rather tedious task to make that decision... Will this be the best £40 I've ever spent, or another waste of energy and a bowl of cereal before bed again. Turns out BURGERLICIOUS is in fact delicious!! Beautiful juicy burgers, ratios of bun to burger to salad to sauce just "muah", Fries that taste and look like it came from a potato and mozzarella sticks that left a perfect string of cheese with every bite... wash this down with a nice chocolate milkshake and you will feel as if you've touched god. Oh and the cake-pops!! "You are so good to us burgerlicious" Keep up the good work team! Literally firing on all cylinders here, give them a try 👌🏼

Best burger place in town! The smash burgers are amazing, they are always nice and they don't leave you feeling heavy or guilty for eating them. Would highly recommend. It's my regular spot to eat. Staff are great and it's a lovely decent family environment without chavy pop music playing.

Box meal for two smash burger wings and strips. Staff brought a drink over to the mrs whos was having a coughing fit while we waited for food. Food was top notch will definitely be back.

The atmosphere, the meat and tidy rooms, the clean and fresh decor, the seating. For my first time in this part of the region I was pleasantly surprised! I had the tea and fries, both equally delicious. The tea served in an antique style pot was a nice gesture. Local Teesiders..! I recommended this place A southerner! 😎

The restaurant is brand new, so clean and tidy. The service was good and staff were friendly and attentive. There seems to be a good footfall as staff are kept busy. The chicken burger and strip were just warm, I'm sure they would have tasted better if they were hot. I was expecting them to be piping hot, the other starters and sides were hot. I was expecting great things from the chicken burgers but we're just standard fare. Chailicious also operates from the same premises. The tea options were great, although karak chai wasn't available in the evening, the English breakfast tea was great. Look forward to popping back soon

Definitely I recommend this place for burgers lovers. Place is clean, spacious and tidy. Delicious burger. Do not go without trying their Kark (tea) and cakes.

Had their double beef smash beef burgers meal and was well cooked. I didn't enjoy their fries as were slightly soggy and not fresh. Didn't like their sauces as they give cheap packed one like u take from a any cheap pizza shop. Tried their tea but I would say to avoid it unless recipe is changed. Lack of taste in chaii. Went again at lunch time for tea and cake, but still not improved. This time bought their Chocolicious hot chocolate and pink tea but both were not hot enough as chocolate didn't melt properly.

I bought £60 worth of burgers they were absolutely horrible, I got chips instead of fries and the drinks were the cheap typ from a dispenser machine. Avoid! I feel sick now…

Hi there I just been to the place the first time with my friend I think you might remember us we ordered one smash box meal and one smash burger meal the burgers were delicious I would say maybe a bit of seasoning on the chips little salt maybe but that’s personal preference to be honest and the drinks were a little on the small side in comparison to the meal size but the overall experience was excellent and the staff were very Welcoming burgers were delicious would definitely come back again

Owner was very thoughtful and aware of allergies always double checking. Extreme smash burger with 2 beef patties and 1 chicken fillet was different but was very nice. Good contrast in flavours, must try
