Good food and really friendly staff.

This branch opened in 2021. McDonald's opened a few meters away, a few months after Burger King. This place offers traditional Burger King options, but has a prime location in a country town in Derbyshire.

Overpriced and terrible. Can’t find a decent Burger King anywhere these days. If my large girlfriend doesn’t like it then it must be really bad.

Always way quieter than maccies across the way which I prefer.

Food was lovely. Not a frequent visitor to such establishments, but would happily pop in again. Aircon was very cold, so didn't encourage us to stay longer than necessary.

It was the best burger king we've had in years. The food was fresh and the staff were lovely.

Love a BURGER KING me but in three visits, three cold meals thrown together by staff who clearly don't want to be there... Won't be going again.

Lovely little burger king, looked quite new - was definitely the cleanest ive ever been In. Situated 5 minutes outside of the peak district. Plenty of parking and staff were friendly. Use the App for great savings

It's been years since I had Burger King because its not local. It was as good as I remember . McDonald's doesn't even come close

Greeted by a member of staff of a smile on their face I can move I couldn't help me I asked them to help automate food on the food board. Young lady that helped me helped explain how it works and ordered it for me she told me to want sit down she would come bring it to me. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. A pleasant experience for my first time using this store.

The staff are nice and the food is priced evenly for 2.99 for burger and chips

Don't know what the negative reviews are all about but I assume its people expecting piping hot food delivered to them in 5 minutes to their front door! I've been here many times and never had a problem. Foods always fresh and hot. Staff are absolutely fine and do their jobs. Keep it up. It's nice to have a BK in the area. It beats the usual McDonald's nonsense.

Absolutely abysmal. The staff are untrained and incompetent, every time I've been, there has been a problem prompting the Staff to swear. Go to the McDonald's opposite, they have got everything right and know how to treat customers

I was never a fan of Burger King and always preferred McDonald’s however I was pleased when it opened in Glossop so I thought I’d give it a try as it was nearly 30 years since my last Burger King. I don’t know if it’s my taste buds that have changed but in terms of flavours, the burgers have a far better taste than McDonald’s! The burgers have a charcoal taste to them and that makes the delicious! Even the chips are superior to McDonald’s. The food was cooked fresh whilst I was waiting and congratulations to Burger King for providing far better tasting burgers than McDonald’s. I would also like to mention the staff serving who were lovely, polite and apologetic informing me the burgers would be a few minutes as they were being cooked, made to order and therefore fresh. It was fairly quiet on my visit but I hope that trade picks up because this is an excellent restaurant that provides good quality food with a smile :-)

Stunning restaurant stunning food overall 10/10

It was very quiet at the time my daughter and I went, so we got served quickly and the staff were pleasant and efficient. The order was for takeaway and was still hot when we got home.

It's a Burger king! Friendly staff and prompt service, will go again! Not too busy.

Food always tastes good! but takes a while to get, standards are low in the shop, needs a good clean.

Our first visit, was really good, neither of us knew how to order but the young lady who served us was brilliant, very helpful, she did it all for both of us. Definitely go again when in Glossop.

Hadn't been to a Burger king for a long time. Popped in here with the family and all had a great meal, we all agreed that we will be back to this restaurant. Tasty food, good service and a clean and tidy restaurant. The staff were keeping themselves busy cleaning despite us being the only customers at the time.

No people in when we arrived. A few came in afterwards, just for brews and left. Then a guy came in with an old lady, to eat in like us. McDonald's facing, looked extremely busy. But I like burger king. The food is better and you get a larger portion. The staff are great too and very polite. I hope it stays open, it's a nice change from McDonald's. A couple of people in today. But mostly pickup or takeaway.

Service wasn't particularly good enough, when you have to ask to be served, when nobody else is at the counter and not really busy, only few members of staff on maybe 4 all in all? Can understand why people don't wait around and go other places 🙄 personal note the food was good, chips wasnt as good as years ago but better than the Mac version🍟for me! And actually feel full compared to other shops mentioned above.

rude staff cold and missing food the staff are the worst I've seen in any food retail- swearing, ignoring customers, messing around leaving food out whilst they were having private jokes disgusting service

Tidy n clean, The staff are keen, service is quick, It's never mean. Its burger King, So go and sing, Grab your dinner. Yeah, that's the thing. Recommended as the best choice in the entire area.

This was the third time we've eaten here and we won't be back! Service to order was slow (the screens weren't working) and when we eventually got the cups, there were only 4 options (and who actually drinks Grape Fanta anyway?!) The food took 15 minutes to arrive, but it was hot. That's the only reason they got a 2! In terms of cleanliness, that's also a bit lacking. It's not terrible, but the floor looks really greasy, and there were tables that needed wiping too. Oh, and don't believe the opening times either! We've tried on other occasions to find it closed, or drive through only.

I felt sorry for the 3 members of staff working their backsides off, trying to keep up with 5 families orders. 2 of which were my husband, myself and my daughter's, and also my son and his girlfriend's. My son got an extra chicken Royale with his order and though put or his order in a couple of minutes before ours, we waited about another 15 minutes for ours Staff apologised, saying they were waiting for our chicken Royale to cook, then we got home to realise that we were short of a large fries which we'd paid for. The food we did get was tasty and hot. The drinks were very watered down though. Such a shame there's not enough staff to cope with busy periods.

Food and staff were amazing for mine and kids visit for late supper. Really helpful, quick service. Despite some disruptive teenagers the manager was running such a tight ship, all the staff were happy and polite and nothing was slipping. Ben I think the manager was called, pay him double I say.

The worst burger king I have ever experienced. Been on number of occasions only to find it closed when it clearly states its open on google. On the rare occasion it’s an actually open there has always been a long wait on the food.

Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Burger King, and I must say, it was the best burger experience we've had in years. Initially, we had set our sights on McDonald's, but due to the crowd, we opted for Burger King instead—a decision we do not regret. Upon entering, we were greeted by an impeccably clean restaurant and an incredibly friendly staff, setting a positive tone for our visit. The menu selection impressed us; my wife and I chose a Whopper and a Chimichurri Angus burger, accompanied by fries and loaded fries, respectively. Our daughter enjoyed a child's chicken nugget meal with fries. A nostalgic touch that brought a smile to our faces was the paper crowns, reminiscent of my own childhood visits to Burger King. We all sported one, adding a fun element to our meal. Additionally, the music selection was excellent, featuring some real classics that enhanced the ambiance. While the service was slightly slower than anticipated, considering the quiet atmosphere and the limited staff on hand—about four employees managing both the restaurant and the drive-thru—it was understandable. The quality and taste of the food more than made up for the wait. Our burgers were genuinely brilliant, and the fries were fresh, crispy, and delicious. However, there were a couple of areas for improvement. The paper straws provided were too thin, making it challenging to enjoy the thick shakes, which were otherwise excellent. Also, the self-service machine's touchscreen was somewhat unresponsive, though we eventually got what we wanted. Despite these minor issues, our takeaway experience at Burger King was one of the best we've had in a long time. The burgers were exceptional, and the fries were perfect. While the prices are slightly higher than those of its competitor across the road, the quality and overall experience justify the cost. We would not hesitate to choose Burger King again for our burger cravings.

Went to Burger king this morning at 11am and was served promptly by the amazing staff who was very knowledgeable on the tills and the app codes, (Pro Tip - the app is well worth it price wise) Plently of seats availiable and plenty of parking outside. Best Fast Food experience I have had in a long time thanks guys.

Excellent customer service and always have my order correct! Thanks to the great communication in the kitchen. Always on top with tidying and can’t forget about how professional Micheal, Jamie, Ella and Lewis are from taking the order to keeping it fresh clean and tasty! Won’t stop coming here ever!

Opens 11:00 till 22:00 arrived and 11:10 looked deserted, what a waste of time

Only 2nd burger king ive tried as alot more expensive than McDonald's. There only 4ppl inside. Good girl on till was very helpful. I complained about chicken nuggets out of kids meal. They like been reheated n hard, even i wouldnt been able eat them. She swapped them without hesitation. Dont be going back has safety with a pram high, only entrance on busy wickes store entrance n steep road. Photo shows a kids cheeseburger n chips, £3:99. Sorry but wont be going again

A fast food establishment and was told to wait at the order point for 10 minutes with no car in front.. Three cars were behind me, only ordered 1 Burger and told to park up for 15 minutes. AWFUL

First time visiting and the staff and the food were excellent, read some of the reviews and wasnt sure what to expect but ill be returning again. Ryan was really helpful in helping my disabled daughter in and out of the restaraunt in her chair, and then he was really patient when we were ordering and helped us to decide what was best price wise, the app is amazing guys get it! The rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful the young blonde girl grace i think her name was gave my daughter a crown and she was made up! Great staff great service i will be returning.

This is a new Burger King, which is quite unbelievable, because I thought they were shutting most down not opening new ones, but is the closest one to where I live, food was great, service, a little, slow, as wasn’t that busy about eight people in there but was on Monday at 2:30 PM so,…. clean tidy, very friendly staff, I would go there again, always use the app if you want to get some good deals, and try the chimichurri burger it’s lovely, also whopper with cheese is nicer than the other burger joints equivalent, they also have quite a lot of vegetarian options, had the vegetarian whopper and was pretty nice

Arrived at 21:40 to find the dining area to be closed and a sign saying drive though only, went through the drive through for there to be no staff at the drive through. Staff still inside as could hear them talking and see them inside. Doesn't really seem like the store is open till 22:00 currently despite there opening times suggesting otherwise. Either that or the staff are enjoying having wages for not being open

Got food poisoning from a double bacon cheeseburger. The fries were good though, and the staff were nice so 3/5

Been here plenty of times since it opened and I've never had such amazing customer service at every visit! Every time we've been the staff have been so lovely and helpful, they can't do enough for their customers. The food is great too, always enjoy it. Will always highly recommend here!

The hygiene in Burger King Glossop is absolutely awful and the tables looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all day and they’re was food all over the floor,there was a staff member who was talking to her employees awfully and so rude (JESSICA)

Wow what a rubbish place to eat £10 for this. The chips were cold and tasted off like the oil they were cooked in needed changing? It took 10 minutes for them to burn my burger… even though there was only me and 1 other customers ordering. Hope customer service gives me a refund as this is very poor.

Surprised reading the negative reviews... used the BK app twice..submitted 5-10 minutes before I've arrived.... order was ready 5 mins after I've arrived which is more than acceptable ...staff were friendly.. food was excellent 👍

I have tried this place 3 times now since opening, I didn't want to leave a review but after the 3rd time and 3rd mistake encountered I have no choice. I checked the app and noticed you can now order online and save yourself the half hour waiting time for a "fast food burger meal" I arrived 5 minutes after ordering my meal on the app, I was sat waiting for another 13 minutes to be precise. Wondering where is my fast food? Why does it take so long? Finally my food arrives which is funnily enough not my food!! I'm starting to think degrees should be applicable for Burger King staff now. A positive from the experience - they managed to refund my money although not the time I stood around waiting. I will not be returning.

Most likely will close when the Mac Donald's opens close by.

went to try it out. The food was as good as you would expect from a BK. The service was friendly but it was slow and I was the only customer waiting. The atmosphere was non-existent, when I pulled up in the car park it looked abandoned. This was midday so may be busier in the evening. Not sure how they will cope when the maccies goes up further down the road.

I liked the vegan options they had available, they were tasty! I think I had a server named Kyle, he was nice and very helpful. He explained all the vegan options and which ones they could make vegan.

Well I've given this review on the back of roughly 7 visits over the course of two or three months, it's been consistently good in my opinion I don't go inside so can't comment on cleanliness or the tables ect.i ordered from KFC yesterday and the price was double what I spent in burger king and I vowed never to use KFC again as I left feeling Hungary still , the classic burger meal is cracking value for money at 5 pounds , is it the best burger ? Probably not but is it worth paying for absolutely it is !! the chips have been excellent on all visits as have the chilli bites, also brilliant !! now I know my standards as I'm fussy to say the least but this burger king is a ganranteed win in my honest opinion 5* well done to all the staff on my visits

First visit to glossop burger King, tables dirty, bits of food all over the floor, plus outside really needs weeding, food was ok , will not visit again.

Not the best place to find no signs showing its entrance , you can't select no sauce etc , cashless , and the screens were really dirty and sticky and smears all over them but food was as expected and priced as burger King price (expensive for what it is)

Nice and clean inside but after ordering our meal and drinks at the machine there was no regular coke or any other regular (full sugar) drinks at the vender. Not a big deal but a little annoying when charged for the sugar version. Our order number was called and then we were asked if it was OK that our 3 whopper burgers came with the normal sized buns because they ran out of the whopper buns. We were asked if we wanted any sauces or dips, we asked for bbq but at bit like regular coke they had none... When the burgers did arrive they were barely warm and the buns they arrived on were stale. The fries were alright though so that's nice. So cold burgers on tiny stale buns with diet beverages and ok fries without dips of choice. Avoid.

I'd put 0 stars if I could. Asked for no cheese at the voice com, also double checked as I paid to be told they had my order as no cheese. We get home. Cheese on the burger. First time using this BK, last time I'll be using if the staff are that incompetent of following basic instructions

Nice drive out and from the carpark you can see some of the beautiful scenery of Glossop. Food was good and staff were also good even though they look like they have been spoken too like they have been stood on by customers all day.

Food was cold waited a long time

Consistently disappointing. At first I thought it was just teething problems upon opening, but it's not got any better. They don't support ordering via the BK mobile app; today they'd randomly closed the drive-thru due to being understaffed, so everybody had to go inside, where the electronic ordering pods were all broken! Vegan food is only ever cooked to order, meaning it's frequently a 15-20 minute wait for your "fast" food. Bring on McDonald's!

My partner collected from here to return with Whoppers on small buns and missing items with tails of staff being extremely rude to her and others diners and fooling around while she waited 20 mins for order. A couple of weeks later o went earlier in the evening, waited 25 mins for 2 large meals a witnessed staff yawning, sniffing food in containers and then scowling and swearing in conversation witht themselves while looking at me waiting. I must have looked angry for some reason, I here mcdonalds is opening soon, the BK branch won't last the year. Badly ran never going back.

Very very slow service for the drive through ! Been sat here 15 mins already and haven’t got any closer to food ! And it isn’t even busy there is one car in front ! Also took them 5 mins to answer the machine to take are order ! Not good enough UPDATE Just got the food after waiting 35 mins , order was wrong they told us it’s been sent out but we hadn’t go it ! Joke they need to be trained , have no clue what they are doing !!

First time we've been few issues the tables were not cleaned inside to eat in so ive had to wipe the table we sat at ourselves .... Also we ordered and 20 minutes i had to complain we hadn't had our meals but loads was going through the drive through faster! Also jessica i spoke to was very offensive and not very helpful and i was offered a burger as a extra for waiting so long and the chesse burger i ordered was freezing ! Nice looking place really wish there was one back in ashton under lyne And with staff that are willing to help! Not good on a first visit 😕

waited ages for food bad service

This was my second visit. The first time the burger was cold and the coke tasted chemically. That's was when they first opened. Thought I'd give it another try. Ordered a meal for £9.99. Went to pay with a ten pound note to be told its £12.13. When I questioned this the girl serving said coke adds 14p extra to the price. I got my money back and left. I'll let you make your own mind up if you thinks this is acceptable. I wont return again. It didnt say certain drinks up the price. A fast food restaurant like burger king trying to squeeze you for penny's when it's already expensive compared to the likes of McDonald's etc. There is a good reason the place was completely empty.
