Burger King in Braintree

Ordered the double melt classic meal. Was quite quiet and coming up toward closing, but no excuse for serving a lukewarm meal. Took it back and they cooled a fresh hot one. Strangely enough the BK at Octagon park don't serve the double melt

Errrrrrrr? No thank you not for me Rowdy atmosphere teenagers all hanging round inside untidy tables and dirty floor, poor quality food this is definitely a Burger King Restaurant ..... won’t be going back in a hurry.

Guy on the till must of been new asked a guy over heard his name brad was ignoring him to help him find something on the till brad said what and in a min food was cold had to take it back staff goofing off round the back not returning back here again

Poor customer service, you would think smiling cost money, staff that interrupt when you try to give your order. Still use plastic straws....I mean come on its 2019. Luke warm food at best, one portion of sauce per person!! Not cheap either definitely more than a certain competitor.

I was very disappointed in my visit to Burger King today. At first I discovered that you still use plastic straws! As a 13 year old who loves the environment I was appalled to find this out, after all the research found that plastic is used WAY to much, surely you would’ve stopped using those plastic straws? Then after a very expensive meal for barely any food, I went to put my food in the bin to find you don’t even have a recycling bin! Burger King UK you need to up your game 😠

Whilst visiting Freeport..stopped here for lunch..and was pleasantly surprised..friendly staff..food.burgers etc was of a very good quality..worth a visit

Worst branch I been to, it is dirty the table had a ketchup stain and there was lettuce on the floor everywhere also the seats were rock hard and uncomfortable . The food wasn't the best . Other branches I been to did better . Won't be coming here again.

Despite being very busy and looking completely rushed off their feet, the staff were super friendly and polite. My food was exactly what you expect from a fast food restaurant, no complaints or grumbles.

On my visit with my family of 6. we ordered 2 chicken royale's, veggie bean burger, crispy chicken and 2 whopper meals. The food came out hot but was not well presented. Chips was stone cold and the man I returned them too threw them in the bin out of anger and gave me new ones which was still out of the same batch in the fry holder but daren't complain again. Boy who was sweeping was sweeping under the table we was eating at which i found very rude and inconsiderate. Staff was very rude except one girl who gave me my food and offered different sauces. Everyone who worked in the place looked unhappy to work there as they constanly was being shouted out by managers. Place was overstaffed but none of them seemed to do their job properly. would not recommend to anyone who enjoys burger king as freeport is a complete let down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went in and ordered a cheeseburger and chicken royale, after waiting 20 minutes we went over to collect and I could see a member of staff who had previously served us, making out with a manager. Highly unprofessional, especially as the girl was in her teens and the manager was a grown man. Also on my previous visit I saw a member of staff being shouted at in the middle of the restaurant. Altogther I would say the atmosphere is disgusting and the management are rude and quite stuck up. There were about two team members who I spoke to who were polite, would NOT reccomend.

Called in whilst shopping for two Chicken Royale meals. Understandably it was very busy, and a very nice lady was managing the queues to ensure that customers were directed in order to tills as soon as one became free. However that's where the service ended, my "server" was brusk and told me to wait to order, then was indifferent at best whilst taking my order. Your then given an order number and you join another queue whilst waiting to receive your food. Anyway it eventually arrived and I took our tray back to our table. The chips were at least hot, as was the coffee, but very tasteless. The Chicken Roayles were even worse. The "toasted" seasame bun, was anything but as it was limp and soggy. On opening the bun the piece of "crispy" chicken was similarly limp and was decorated with a sparce few bits of limp yellow lettace and a splash of mayonnaise. Royalishis it wasn't, in fact it was only just edible after we added copious amounts of Ketchup. Very very poor and nothing like the attached description on the Burger King website. I assume it's a franchise operation, but deffinatly in need of a visit from someone involved in quality control. We wouldn't visit this particular establishment again

me and my husband do not eat meat but was assured by staff they do fish and vegetarian. The fish was 3 very small fish fingers, salad was 2 pieces of the dregs of an iceberg lettice with small squirt of dressing. hand full or should I say mouth full of chips and cheaply made onion rings. My bean burger was just a round mush, tasteless. Never recommend it unless you are a meat eater.

Fast-food service NO WAY more like slow-food service. Honestly I go here often as it is the only “fast-food” restaurant in freeport. I must wait at least 20 mins each time to get my food. One time waiting 30 mins - when it had been open about 10 mins with about three other customers! No apology for being slow or anything at all. Employees just mucking about and chatting. Would definitely not recommend.

The burgers are pretty standard affair it was mobbed when I was here which resulted in a very long wait and struggled to get a table

Popped in for a quick bite whilst shopping in Freeport. It was very busy and took a while to get our food but all was very good when it arrived. Place was clean but dated. However husband said the toilets left a lot to be desired.

How could I forget it was half term and the restaurant would be full of screaming kids. I know, miserable old man. Joking apart, I much prefer Burger King than the inferior MackieD. Ok, a little more expensive but you pay for quality. Nice restaurant, friendly staff and ice for a relax after wandering Freeport.

Firstly I would like to start by saying I pride myself on giving a honest review, I understand constraints, not enough staff etc. However this Burger King need a overhaul, drab interior almost looks dirty. The toilets are dreadful and unhygienic. The food was like warm, the milkshakes melted and the burgers just thrown together, there was sauce packets over the floor . If you can wait probably grab something on the way out.

The food was sub-standard. The variety of burgers were good but they tasted not as good as other fast food chains. The hygiene was unsatisfactory as they didn’t clean the table until we asked them. Slightly disappointed...

Overpriced,not very warm food. Toilets filthy. Understaffed and underwhelmed. Food was returned. Never again.

This quick snack did not turn out as expected, with longish wait for what I thought over priced food. Restaurant looked very shabby with all the bins full to bursting dirty floors large parts of the establishment closed off so all in all not very impressed.

Stopped here for a pit stop. Serving was reasonably fast, place was clean considering how busy it was. They do super large food and drinks for sure which were huge.... perfect refill. Burger king is more expensive that I remembered it ever being!

The food was delicious, the service and staff very friendly and helpful. I do think the decor could do with upgrading though. It’s a little outdated. All in all though a good place for lunch.

Burger King is the only fast food outlet at Braintree Freeport, which perhaps explains why they haven't felt the need to update. It all feels a bit tired and dated. The toilets are small with broken hand dryers.

Our first time in this Burger King at Freeport. Service was fast and friendly. Has five star hygiene rating and looked fairly clean, just the odd wrapper etc left by untidy customers. Food was good. It was Thursday lunchtime, fairly busy but no problem getting a table. Would go again when at Freeport.

Mientras compras en el outlet freeport, se detuvo a un café y una hamburguesa. El café era agradable y fuerte, no estaba impresionado con hamburguesa, sin embargo era barato almuerzo, luego permaneció en compras. El lugar parecía limpia, servilletas amontonadas listas para usar. Volvería.

First visit to a Burger King in a long time and definitely the last. Tried a special chicken burger which was luke warm and tasteless. Chips were hard and it was hard to tell what the brown liquid was in the cup. First prize goes to the mozzarella sticks which were hard as nails and totally tasteless. The bill can to just under £16 which to my mind was £15.99 too much.

Called into burger king while at freeport. For burger and drink.This outlet is on par with other burger kings.

We ate lunch here at Burger King on the 19th February whilst shopping in Braintree. Upon arrival, there was no queue so our order was taken quickly. We used a voucher from the BK iPhone app which was redeemed without any problems.One member of my family had chicken nuggets which were cold and tasteless. The chicken burger which I had was ok, but the burger bun was stale which was disappointing. We all commented that the portions of chips were very small and were not worth the 99p per bag! The food was not as good as we have had in the past at other BK branches. The staff were very polite, and the restaurant was generally very clean.

Burger was fine, very few fries, Coffee was poor like its instant. Wont bother anymore with Burger King in Braintree.

this is an average Burger King, well located within the shopping mall, which makes it a great option if you look for a decent place to have lunch and don't wanna spend much time or money.

It isn't gourmet and about what you expect from fast food. It had a large area closed off despite being quite busy.

Personally, each time we go to Freeport we end up in Burger King! Why? Because the food is great! Whether you like or dislike the service (we don't mind it) don't put it down, it's hard to work if fast food restaurants as it is, and yes, sometimes waiting is annoying (especially when hungry!!) but the food is as good here as with any other Burger King. I know what I like...cheese whoppers!!! Fries too. Yummy!

Walked in to see a man waiting for his order to be processed, which was done by one of four staff members, who were all in the kitchen, with several of them just chatting. No one at the counter, and this situation remained the same for over five minutes. Making comments about the situation loud enough for the staff to hear, made no impression. In those five minutes a queue of about six people had formed, and all were baffled by the question why no one came to take their orders, since at least two or three staff members seemed to be free. When one finally came, she took my order, and passed it on - upon which the staff member she passed the order on to, came out to have a lenghty discussion with her about the question if it was possible at all to process the order (for a classic Angus burger, nothing more). Finally the conclusion was that this was possible, hurray, and he went off to make it. The result, I have to say, was exactly as expected, a perfectly cooked Angus beef burger. But then I found that, despite there being a sign that it was policy to supply every single customer with a receipt, I hadn't been given a receipt, and I had to go back to the counter to get one. So, verdict: they're good at grilling here, but bad at giving service.

This place is long forgotten, run down and had had the same interior for at least the last 10 years. The place is filthy and in need of some love and attention. The staff need a motivation lift, and I don't blame them! The facility's are appalling and out dated and just disgusting. It's just crying out for help! Our food was given to us cold, however when we complained we where given freshly made chips. The staff had attitude problems.

Simple eats from a simple place: -Go from hungry to not-hungry in 10 mins with minimum fuss.Don't expect fantastic service, quality decor or superb, professional staff. You get what you get. Same as any other fast-food joint.Always has deals on, and worth checking for vouchers before you visit.

Popped in for a quick bite while shopping. As you expect although not very fast food as had to wait for meal for 10 mins and then some of it arrived cold and order not correct! Seating area clean and plenty of space.

Ok you wouldn't normally be raving about great service in a fast food chain but here it was evident. The guy in white shirt perhaps of South American origin took a lot of care to ensure all his customers were happy. Once customers had paid he told them to go and sit down and fetched their food over to them. He was very sincere and genuine and took real pride in his job, asking if everyone was ok etc and tidying up as he went.Normally in a fast food restaurant they take your money then make you wait around and no interaction with customers.Burger King this guy is worth his weight in gold to you and a real credit.

Popped in to Burger King at around 3pm on a Wednesday for a late lunch. The store was empty which is apparently unusual for this location. The food was good and we used a voucher code from Burger King's mobile app for 2 regular Whopper meals which were as expected.The location was clean unlike another reviewer pointed out so they must have improved.

Very busy but the service was quick & the meal as you'd expect from a typical Burger King. Restaurant looked tried but staff polite & friendly.

The restaurant is a good restaurant the food is good burger king food but the out of date interior really effects the mood of the inside and almost makes it feel dirty. Service is good, i would say it is a clean restaurant but decor really brings it down. No matter when i go to this branch, no matter who serves me i always ask for a double cheese burger, and I always receive a double bacon burger, okay i have nothing against bacon, i love it, but that is not what i ask for, i am aware that burger king do in fact do double cheese burgers from there online menu, so why can't i have one?

Considering how manic and busy this BK is due to it being at Freeport, they cope very well. Don't be put off by the hideous looking queues, the staff get through them very efficiently.

Usually plenty of staff to serve, good size menu with regular updates, value for money, regular offers. Freshly cooked, not long to wait, fries crisps and fresh.

Needs a bloody good clean was disgusted by the state of it does not take much to keep tables and floors clean

Fast food chains like this one can vary tremendously between outlets: some are good; some not.This one is a liability for the Burger King brand.It's dirty (food and drink stains even up the walls), chaotic (there was total confusion when we were there over everyone's orders), slow (20 minutes to get the food) and the food was cold when finally ready.We rarely go to these places. This is reminder of why that is. Next time we won't be too lazy to walk to one of the excellent restaurants nearby.(Ironically, we were given a "free burger on your next visit" voucher - it went in the bin - never again.)

BK is good for everyone who want's to eat decent food and have no time to go to normal restaurant. If you don't mind dirty tables, screaming kids and general chaos, BK is a place for you :D

The food may be just about edible...but the service is shocking. I got over charged (may well have only been 50p) but when i bought it up with the server he replied 'well i think all that food for £4.49 is a bargain'. So i persued and got my 50p back, id have let it slip if he didnt say this. He then asked if i could have my ice cream before my fries, because it was difficult to make milkshakes, ice cream and fries all at the same time. What?! So....if you are willing to argue with the servers and wait for your food to be offered in the wrong order, feel free to eat here.

My 4 year old wanted to go whilst at Freeport as the swimming pool was full. I found that the food was average but the delivery was slow. I used to work at Burger King when a student in the 80's and I remember being trained to take the order and deliver the food as quickly as possible. On this visit it took 15 minutes to get served and the food delivered and it was not that busy! I always found that BK was a little cut above McD's but after this visit I'll change my mind.

This is an ok fast food restaurant that serves fairly low standard over priced junk food.It isn't particularly clean and the staff turnover is high so they don't seem overly fussed about whether you get served or notUnfortunately my son is typical of most teenagers and always wants to eat here when we are at Freeport but I would say for just a few more minutes walk there are better places to eat in the area.If you just want to grab a quick burger to fill up whilst shopping then it's fine but it's actually quite expensive for a fast food restaurant so you'd find better value for money if you wal over to Nando's or M & S cafe or even walk 10 minutes over the flyover to Macdonalds Pizza Hut KFC etc

Noisey not overly clean, but that's par for the course for all fast food restaurants, but they try their best. Never had any problems with the food or staff here so if your a b king fan it's a handy place to eat on a budget if you are shopping at freeport braintree.

Nice time at Freeport Braintree but Burger King let us down. Food cold took chips back. It took two members of staff to empty a bin and it didn't help that one was sporting the fashion of showing his underwear !!!! Perhaps he needs a belt. A lot of the staff were very young all hanging out behind the servery rather than cleaning tables and sweeping.

Only ever one person serving at lunchtimes so queues develop even when its not particularly busy so it takes at least 15 minutes to order, not good if you are in a rush. Fries are generally cold from standing for ages, bins overflowing. I do like Burger King but not this one.

Visited Burger King Freeport for a snack lunch at 2pm on Sunday, very quite, but the place was quite untidy, staff were very slow and the food took some time to arrive.

always liked burger king until used this one, have been working close by for 3 years and used a few times, never had one good meal, has untidy dirty feel to it, staff poorly trained and lacks any apeal

A typical Burger King restuarant which is very handy when shopping in freeport for lunch or even just a coffee.

We enjoyed our burger it was fresh and hot and was served by a very pleasant and charming member of staff.

After spending a fab short break in Folkestone on our drive home to West Yorkshire we called into the services on the M11 for a bite to eat at lunch time, opting for Burger King i have never ever been treated with such contempt by the young Asian man serving his manner of speaking was rude to the point of aggresive, i gave him our order of 2 cheese burgers and one fries, he didnt ask if we were sitting in or taking away did we want a drink nothing very rude, i gave him £10 for the over priced £8.79 and he threw my change onto the counter and walked off, my husband waited for the food as i was gob smacked and had to walk away, once it was ready it was thrown in a paper bag with no serviettes or cutlery, my husband asked for kethup which also was thrown in the paper bag. we sat a table to eat this very unsatisfactory meal which in all honesty we expected from motorway service fast food chain, but we did not expect the level of rudeness from all the members of staff, as 2 other members a young girl of foreign origins and another young man that i recognised his accent was polish we cleaning tables, walls etc but i didnt appreciate them spraying dissenfectant around our table whilst we were trying to eat, so my husband ver politely asked the young lady if she could clean somewhere else whilst we were eating but she did not understand so the young gentleman came over and said whats your problem once again with aggression, my husband explained that could they please clean elsewhere as we were eating and spraying dissinfectant near food was not very hygenic, the young polish man told us no if you dont like get out, well we did get out and are so dissapointed to have been treated this way, never again will we give Burger King in any town our business again, if this is there Burger Kings customer service, they have got it so wrong.

The staff try hard, but there's no organisation here. Its a very busy restaurant and every time I've been in there's always somebody complaining that the foods not quick enough, or the queues a problems, or, or or...it could be so much better, but Ive never seen anyone on the shop floor trying to organise !
