McDonald's in Braintree

What the hell is this milkshake that has been delivered to me? This is not a milkshake this is chocolate foaming shit in a cup. Disgusting

Wow the garlic and cheese bites are strong. Worst part of this is the car queue which blocks the entire rd and causes roundabout disruption.

Disgrace! I’ve ordered 1 cheesy back flatbread, 2 Dbl Sausage + egg McMuffin, 1 ketchup wrap, 1 sausage egg McMuffin, 4 pancakes and sauce, 1 mighty ketchup muffin, 3 hash brown, 2 mini Oreo’s, 1 large tea, 1 medium strawberry milkshake, 1 med sharmrock shk and 2 medium ban shk. All apart from 4 pancakes has not turned up obviously with the state of price of things and everything ordering this for my family was a treat and to be left disappointed and like this has really annoyed me and made disappointed in you guys in being an established organisation I trusted. Please could I have a full refund for my order! Order no FC4A8

This is a pretty good Mcdonald as they come, staff are friendly and service is pretty quiet, unless it's busy which is to be expected. Shame they got rid of the tablets as my boy enjoyed them when we sat inside.

Please avoid this branch, bad hygiene twice i was sick 🤒 diarrhoea and vomiting a few months ago. This weekend my Son was also ill. Poor service not clean. Avoid. Will not purchase their again.

Always busy…always have to wait or park up for the food, but what can we do we have to go through this pain for the love of it…mmmmm Big Mac n milkshakes

This is our main McDonald’s, eating-in is always nice and pleasant atmosphere. The only big problem is the town has outgrown the restaurant. The car park is far too small during lunch or dinner time. Queues for drive-thru is a nightmare too. Their toilets are cramped. Sometimes click & serve isn’t available and they never seem to have caramel frappe available.

Did a home delivery, food arrived Luke warm and the drink was spilt so ended up with no drink. Later the evening me and my friend and I were both sick and were mainly chicken nuggets and selects coming up with all the batter they come coated in. Based on recent reviews, there is obviously something wrong with how the place is storing food correctly once cooked, and that shows that there is a problem. This is the first time I have done a home delivery from mcdonalds due to price difference to instore, and unfortunately, I will not be returning again unless it is for an ice cream on a nice hot sunny day.

Unless you're going during peak times the food is often just warm, not hot, especially their nugget meals. Special instructions for food are often ignored/forgotten. Food is messy, it looks like it's literally thrown together. Carpark is a hangout for boy racers. Not our first option for McDonalds, Maldon is better.

Staff incapable of packing the right items in an order, two weeks in a row they've missed entire meals from our app delivery. When questioned, managers are unhelpful and condescending, stating the bags are weighed - despite half the order missing, inferring we are making it up.

Meant to be 24h, so why are you shut? If there's a technical problem, turn the bloody sign off 🤬

Yet another mindblowingly grotesque offering from the gates of hell in Braintree.. Usual slop served up. Food looked like it was put together in a cement mixer, given CPR by a sumo wrestler..then arrived colder than a penguin’s beak..

Sitting in McDonald's braintree on a Saturday evening and it's absolutely freezing inside. The air-conditioning is throwing out cold air, it's terrible.

It's McDonald's and a reasonably good one so gets a three. Not as efficient as they used to be, food is not as good as it used to be and significantly more expensive. This one is just on the A120 as you head out of Braintree so is very convenient if you are travelling from Colchester to Stansted or vice versa. There is another just before Stansted but tricky to get to so I would go with this one. It's also right next to Freeport shopping village on ideal if you want something on the way in or out. It's ideal location though does mean that it can get very busy and the nearby roundabouts are a bit of a headache. I wouldn't go here at dinner time just to visit Macdonald's. It has a drive through, restaurant and order to car. All the usual stuff and toilets in side. What more couple you want!

Some staff are lovely, others are utterly rude.

Possibly one of it not the worst McDonalds I’ve ever been too. Rude and ignorant staff, crap service and crap food. Would never ever recommend anyone go there. KFC far superior.

Seriously? Just ordered via just eat, it’s not their fault, how in the name of simple instructions do you manage to fail to pack the double quarter pounder that formulates the meal with the chips and the drink you are packing and just send the chips and the drink?? How can anybody manage to construct enough words in sentences to make it successfully through an interview and not manage to remember the burger?? IN A BURGER JOINT!!! The whole order process is - What burger do you want? Do you want fries with that? Do you want a drink with these? How do you manage to pack the fries and the drink and forget the burger?? Honestly. I despair.

We tried ording from the app for delivery and it doesn't work all it keeps saying is placing your order and then preparing your order and then it then cancels the order

It 2 miles from my house turned up a hour late food was stone cold I payed £30 for all I can say was crap. All went in the bin. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BRANCH. DIVER WAS RUDE ASWELL.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Several times McDonald's haven't given me all my order & McDonald's won't give me a refund on those items as I drove away! It's a driver through. So tried delivery through app, the food was stone cold with milkshakes melted SEVERAL times. Was utterly disgusting that we couldn't eat it. McDonald's & Uber eats are both refusing refund. Parking and getting into McDonald's can be a huge problem. My autistic child has issues with food and this is his occasional treat but has caused him so much upset. So many nice places near by. I'm so disappointed in the lack of customer service 😔 On top of this they rarely have milkshakes and mcflurries as machine broken. It's the worst place I've ever received food from

McDonald's was lovely. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The food was great. We did order our ice creams at the same time as our main meal but asked two different members of staff for them not to come out until we'd finished our meal. Well they did arrive at the same time as our main meal but the young man put them in the freezer for us until we were ready. The toilets were only big enough for two people to be in there at a time. The parking was like the American style, at an angle, which I like. There were disabled spaces and a time limit of 90 minutes. I will definitely recommend it here and will return.

Took 20 minutes to get 4 items through the drive thru. Went in and they couldnt find the order. Staff are incompetent.

Pretty bog standard McDonald's, you know what your getting but as McDonald's go a very nice one just stopped there on the way home, clean and nice.

Saturday evenings are always manic, but yhe staff are always helpful and patient. I use the app to pre-order and i think the staff are appreciative of that. If there is ever an issue, the Manager sorts it really quickly.

This McDonald's is not 24hr. Been here on 2 occasions past midnight and they always say "the systems down".

Chips are cold. I've now lost count the amount of times they forget something from my order. I haven't noticed until I've got home. Ridiculous place. Don't bother with this place use the one in borham

Good service but can you please make sure that fries are always kept fresh not stale? There should be recommended amount of time for the fries.. say to cook fresh ones every hour and discarded the old ones… always have FRESH fries

served Cold food and a poorly wrapped Special order, hot chocolate with cream, waited so long all cream had melted and sunk to bottom of cup. Asked for replacement and the manager told the server to just rearrange it all in the bag, so we received a squashed cold special order: The manager made it clear they were short staffed and kept moving people from allocated stations. revisit a few months later, cold unsalted fries and half a cup of milk shake. Not going back, wish I had taken photos now.

How miserable can your staff get? I don't know if it's because we didn't use the app or bacteria filled dirty self service screen but the two staff members who took out order them brought them to the collection point were as miserable as sin. Impatient when getting the correct change and when asking for salt. Customer beside me asked the staff member if they could change a £2 coin as to get a "poppy". She closed the till and said no the till is shut now. Cheer up for god sake.

As a child you would always beg for you to go in to a MC Donalds, and the odd time she would let you, well for me I would want to stay in the car or go home, love the food (who doesn't?😁😁) but it's when you go in there, the noise of 5 year olds screaming over who gets the tablet. For me, I've had my orders mixed up a couple of times, but they were very forgiving and gave us the right one. For the people who like to sit in, don't go here. Otherwise it's amazing

We had an awful experience today - there were only 2 clients in there when we arrived. Unfortunately all the tables were filthy and messy, sticky and full with rubbish. Even the floor was dirty - spilled coke and juice all over the place. I had to clean a table myself because no one paid any attention where we were going to sit. Food tasted bad, like it was just warmed up but not fresh. The salad, the tomato and the onion have had better days - they looked quite exhausted from being waiting for so long someone to order them. Awful experience. The people behind the till looked sad and it was obvious they didn't care much. While waiting for our good I could see the mess under their counter - plenty of rubbish, chips on the floor, oily bags and packaging. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned recently. Awful service which brought an awful atmosphere. My little one was so disappointed!! I would never visit again!

Went through drive through and when I got home I found that half my order was missing tried to ring and after ringing 3 times and waiting for 3 minutes each time no one answered. Really disappointing

Waited 45 mins for 4 meals which half was missing. The food items we got were so cold! This store seems to be going from bad to worse.

if i could leave half a star or less i would. i have ordered a delivery twice and on both occasions had to wait over 2 hours to once receive stone cold food that had clearly been waiting around for ages and on the other occasion not received any food at all. we never receive any sauces with our meals when they do by some miracle arrive. Any adjustments we make i.e no pickles etc are never met either and the chips are always stale. the restaurant never answer the phone. staff seem unbothered and rude when complaints have been made in store. please never order from this mcdonald’s again we certainly won’t be and i hope it closes down because it’s so bad and unorganised in the front of house department i hate to think what it’s like behind the kitchen. 0 stars

The last two time's we have called in here, drive-through just to get a couple of lattes and both times they have got it wrong. The first time we got latte but with some sort of flavour which didn't ask for. The second time we didn't even get a latte we got ordinary coffee disappointed 😞 to say the least. God knows what we would have got if we'd ordered food.

Ordered a delivery via the McDonalds app. Paid for extra patty, opted for no cheese. Burger arrived, no extra patty and with cheese also stone cold. Complained via McDonald’s app, yielding nothing. Rung store number 4 times to no avail. Shocking service and unfortunately not the first time. Staff in store obviously pay little to no attention to orders especially around requests to hold certain ingredients. The risk for allergy / dietary restrictions is insane because of poor staff attention.

This is one of the worst mcdonalds in essex. You will wait a age to get your food and it will either be wrong or cold. How can fries be chewy? Far better to go to the other mcdonalds on the edge of chelmsford as you get hot food and actually get what you order. How there is such a huge diffrence between the two i have no idea maybe the frachise needs to start working it out Tho big shoutout to the older lady who hands out the food at the window always smiling always super happy and friendly

Absolutely terrible. I order a double bacon burger, fries and a strawberry milkshake. The burger was stone cold, squashed and not even wrapped properly! The bacon was rolled up into a ball and splattered on the burger with not a speck of ketchup or mustard in sight, I wouldn’t even give it to my dogs. The fries were cold and lacked any flavour and the milkshake was already liquid, I also paid extra for a ketchup packet which must of pulled a magic trick to disappear from this meal. I’m not off to order a Pizza Hut as their food and delivery is always 5 stars

This has happened on 18th of September 19:30-20:00. I have ordered customised Big Mac, where I have added some extra sauce ,onions, cheese and bacon. It was quite busy, everyone could hear a manager/supervisor, screaming inside of the kitchen how everything wrong was at the time. I did get my big Mac with the portion of chips and mid choch shake ! After eating second and the third, I opened the box of Big Mac, where I was about to see an unpleasant surprise ! On top of the burger, there was beef patty, slice of cheese, and some lettuce ! It looked extremely appealing, and I felt like someone just took a piss out of me ! After addressing the issue to the staff, this was quickly rectified, however to a standard Big Mac ! After showing the ticket with changes, poor guy was making one second time ! However that doesn't change the fact that the gesture which has been showed by the kitchen first time, shows that they deeply don't care to your customisation of the meal, moreover the kitchen staff just expressed their ignorance and lack of respect to the guest which has paid it's money, just to be served a "clown" burger ! It has to be made something here as I can see many breaches coming along, only by this example !

Twice in recent weeks I have ordered a drive through and the order has been wrong. First, no straw with a milkshake and, today, no chips with the bigmac meal. Not good enough.

Very disappointed every time I go to this mcdonalds they always get my order wrong and there's always items missing, when trying to contact the restaurant no one answers the phone, always get told to park up for the most basic of items on the menu and when I get given the food it's stone cold, no apology from staff and quite frankly they're always so rude, won't be using this mcdonalds again be warned.

Rather disappointed today. The chips were not hot and infact had got a bit chewy. Unfortunately when I realised I couldn't go back. They had been sitting on the side I reckon too long. The spicy chicken burger was rather too crispy and wasn't as nice as I had hoped. I don't usually find the need to write a review of this nature, but it just wasn't up to the normal standard given by McDonald's A great shame.

Food left on side to get cold. Had to change chips as they were cold. Must have been cooked half an hour b4. Bun a bit chewy, overdone the lettuce in burger, minimal sauce in burger, no apologies by staff, unclean floors. Don't normally use this one as use Colchester ones, but was at Freeport and hungry.

A McDonalds is a McDonalds is a McDonalds. Like many McDonalds the car park is way too small. Add the circling cars to the constant queue for the drive thru and you have a permanent traffic jam! Once inside there are plenty of tables and it’s light and airy. Burger King has nicer food especially the chips/fries. I had the 3 for £3 deal. A tiny cheese burger, reasonable sized fries and a very fried sweet apple pie. Good value if you are not too hungry. Love it or hate it you know what to expect at a McDonalds.

Not happy with my order as it was wrong i orderd a big mac large fries large hot chocolte which i didnt recive the hot chocolate to be given a bottle of water insead which is not even close to what i had ordered and garlic bread dippers and as i tried on muliple occasions to call the store to get it fixed no reply at all this is my first and last time ordering from yourselves

Foods ok if you actually get what you order. Don't usually have something on our list. Car park is awful too.
