McDonald's in Braintree

This usually is a good McDonald’s, but today an item was forgotten out of my order. when I noticed I was already in my van and already on my way

Food was not up to the standards, fries we less then half full, staff working like robots with no greeting or smiles on there faces.

Food was cold as our order wasn't called out. Poor attitude when we asked for replacement. Visited twice recently and staff can't manage to keep up with even though there seems to be an abundance of staff

Gentleman on the drive-through counter today at 7am was so polite and attentive. I wish more staff were like that! It’s really set me up for the day and left me in a positive mind set. It’s amazing what “Have a good day, ma’am” can do for you! Lovely hot food as well.

It was busy so longer wait than normal, I should have checked the food before leaving as the 6 nugget meal only had 5 nuggets but I was in a rush.

Arrived at about 1-2am. No mcflurrys available, very disappointing. Asked for a filet o fish, with lettuce no tar tar sauce. Burger arrived with NO lettuce and had tar tar sauce. Chips cold too. Had to wait around while the order was changed. Annoying.

For the fourth time in a row, they have sent a delivery that is missing an item. If you go to the premises, it is fine, standard McDonald's experience. If you're ordering delivery, do yourself a favour and order 5 Guys instead - it's dearer but at least you get your food...

At 2am on a bank holiday Monday morning, nobody goes to McDonald's for the service (or the quality of the food, if we're honest), but the first young lady that we spoke to on the intercom must have been going for some sort of ignorance record. No welcome. No manners. Just bluntness and a bad attitude. Service score gets an extra star, because the lady at the collection window was much nicer and was happy to help correct the order after the previous person didn't bother to listen to what we said. All in all, a disappointment. Standard McDonald's experience.

Got such bad and cheeky service at drive through, I did not even order.

The car parking and access to the front door are a shambles

Standard Maccers situated on cholesterol corner off the A120 Braintree. Longer than usual queue here, very popular.

I LOVE McDonald's I've always gone to this same one it's always been good here there maybe the odd one mistake but theyre busy you can't expect them to be like with a clutch of your fingers theyre there lovely staff and very tasty food and all in all a good atmosphere

Terrible service. Asked to wait for food on many occasions. And yet the food comes cold. Also how is it that the hot cholate drink has gone up from £2.36 for too cups. To £3.18 in less than 5months for 2 cups. But also it is still £2.98 for two cups in Tollgate Mac’s. And in Snetterton. And Chelmsford. They have not put the recent rise on to customers. Why has Braintree put there’s up so much in very little time.

Clean, well tended, usual McDonald’s. Staff very good, well laid out and easily accessible. No issues at all. It’s McDonald’s, what do you expect?

Busy McDonald's, need to check your order as quite often bits are forgotten and at busy times queues and wait times are long.

Brought a meal from the braintree essex macdonalds got the fries pack out size medium and there was hardly none in the packet my grandaughter got more chips in her happy meal, talk about ripping off customers, I get wrong items in my pick up order all the its starting to take the mick about now, will you please train your staff properly and stop skimping on the food, we pay you our hard earned money for a meal not a chucked together burger that's all falling apart I'm the packet or the coke cola that cones with more ice than drink, Disgracefully also got a good mind to report them to trading standards

It's McDonalds, but incredibly slow, can't remember the last time I didn't have to wait in the order parking for Standard items.

Very busy and poor access to carpark. Ordered a black coffee as my wife has an allergy to lactose but was given a latte in error. Staff did not seem trained in the consequences of allergies.

Plenty of tables and seats available. Fast service, great food .

I enjoy McDonald's as anyone does however sometimes their food is amazing but most of the time is subpar and it can be very irritating when you order in and it comes late or cold.

It's a mcds, what do you expect. Crappy cheap fast food. Nice! I've had more incorrect orders than correct ones with this particular branch. To the point whereby we don't bother with delivery anymore. it's just never right. But, handy location to drive and get breakfast, and not too far to drive back when they manage to muck that up as well. Mcds is becoming a guilty pleasure, everyone knows it's bad, but most people still eat the stuff. I love to hate it. It's so bloody convenient sometimes. Nothing beats a double cheese

Muy mala experiencia en este lugar, fuimos con mi hija y sus amiguitas comimos, unos niños se sintieron mal y estuvimos algo de tiempo extra por la situación realizamos más consumos por estar más tiempo, pasados unos días llegó a casa una multa del parking de este lugar, enviamos los tickets de los consumos indicando que estábamos allí y que éramos clientes, pero igual nos pusieron la multa, NO VOLVEREMOS A ESTE LUGAR.

Went to drive through, food was stone cold and not at all nice.

Service really slow, atmosphere wasn’t welcoming pretty much dead waited 20 minutes for hot chocolates no sorry for the long wait no smile customer service was poor. Needs improvement

Ordered a burger meal and they didn't put any gherkins in it 👎 Also, do they shred the chips here? Didn't get any longer than an inch, which is just weird 🤔

Everyone worked so well as a team. The young man waiting to help anyone ordering was so committed to the job, he constantly swept the floor, cleaned the tables as soon as anyone left, helped people clearing their trays . The whole place was very efficient and friendly . Chillie wrap was actually full which was a first for any other McDonald’s well done team

Absolutely disgusted with this place in dec 7 of us was their for my twins 5th birthday we had balloons, prezzies was packed food took ages food was wrong and cold i dont come from here unfortunately my son and his family do next thing my daughter and my son got a fine for the carpark appealed it no luck HAPPY NEW YEAR…

Maid an order didn't come driver delivered to wrong address driver was rude uber eats were rude and the McDonald's staff less than useless on the phone waste of time and money save your self's the hassle just get KFC next time

I bought 2 big Mac meals and drove 10 minutes. When opened the chips and big macs were stone cold. Also the cokes were only 3/4 full. It’s a shame KFC wasn’t open as their meals are of far better quality, value and are hot!

Food delivered to our table very quickly, staff friendly.

Food is good, ordering on the app there is always a long wait for them to bring it out, always get asked to park up and the food will arrive some time later, sometimes you think you've been forgotten.

Let us down badly by forgetting to put the the double cheeseburger in the bag. Told them they said they would put it in the book but they forgot that as well . Hopeless.

Every single time I go to this place past 10pm theyre always doing an update and don't take orders. Then on a normal day food is always cold and service is extremely slow.

Of the many McDonald's we have visited this is the best so far it's always clean and they're friendly.

Probably the worst I have been to. Orders always missing something, cold or taking a long time. Even delivery drivers complain about the place when delivering. It's more or less run by absolutely useless kids. They all need sacking.

A huge thank you to Nikki, who was extremely helpful when a drink got spilt all over our child this morning (our fault). She cleaned up the drink straight away, checked child was ok and even got us another free drink! Nikki is an asset to your company!

Despite being 24 hours, the restaurant was locked when we arrived and we were forced to use the drive through to order. Upon making our order, the order was missing all three portions of fries we ordered, which we only discovered when we returned home. Absolutely disgraceful service

Good location, busy car park. Baby change facilities were clean. Lots of seats but it was mid morning.

Don’t order from here. Honestly every single time i go here 1-4 pieces of the meal is missing. Today i was missing all the sauces i paid for, a fruit bag, 2 burgers, a drink… i mean seriously COME ON. i’ve worked in fast food myself and i can confidently say the job is not that hard to be forgetting so many things in an order. Utterly fuming. Managers clearly aren’t doing a good enough job if most people leaving reviews are having the same problems.

This place is always busy, it definitely has a motorway service station vibe to it. Be prepared to wait if you want the drive through and getting a parking space is hit and miss too

Given uncooked chips with all orders, I had them replaced twice and both times they were still white and tasted uncooked. I demanded a refund that was given in cash They are not open 24 hrs they have locked the doors at 01.40 on 1/11/2023 b*****ds

Absolutely shocking. Not only did we have to pull over and wait forever for our food, we then pulled away only to realise our order was completely wrong! When we drove back in to query and collect correct order staff accused me of lying, before eventually rectifying. Terrible attitude on the staff member in question. Second time we've had the wrong order here (once eat in, once drive thru). Will not attend again.

With an order where there was a wait for the food, i was very surprised to get home (5 minute drive), and discover all items were cold.

I don't know the exact time this incident happened, it was between 2pm and 3pm on Sunday the 24th of September. I was a passenger in my friend's car through the drive through, and there was a member of staff who looked fairly young, stating quite loudly about how a 40 something year old man was trying to sleep with her. I know there are a lot of children that visit your restaurant and the fact I could hear it in the car just makes me wonder if any kids were around inside, they could also hear it. I just wanted to make sure the relative people were aware so this type of thing won't happen again, as it could have gone a lot worse if the wrong type of people heard that kind of comment from a worker in a professional setting.

Normally a fan, but McDonald's Drive through at Braintree on the A120 was an absolute shambles. Despite seeing loads of staff through the windows. There was so many cars parked up in their parking bays people lucky enough to get their order at the window couldn't drive out. The slovenly way the boy walked out with one order at a time beggars belief. After waiting 15 mins (fast food, really?) with dogs in the car I called out how long? He came back and said we've lost your order and have to do it again 😱 As I was on a deadline travelling from Colchester to Nottingham I told him the service was disgusting and that I couldn't wait any longer. So after paying £8.97 I had a 25 minute wait to get no food and a 13 point turn to get my van out where there were so many people waiting I couldn't move!. Absolutely shambles. The whole attitude of the staff was they just couldn't be bothered. I will make sure I'm prepared next time and either go to McDonald's at Colchester or Cambridge as I do this journey frequently. You owe me a quarter pounder with cheese meal and a hot apple pie!!!!!

So it’s taken from the wrong food, no response and sent a Kids meal with wrong items which you still haven’t rectified. As I’m diabetic I have taken medication before eating to have no food to eat ! Then you are not answering your calls. I’ve had bad service in takeaway, restaurants but they always make up for it. You left me waiting to be told you don’t do refunds ?? Now if I got the Kids Menu food costing a lot less money the people that ordered the meal we had delivered enjoyed a big meal with more food !! The thing is that they wouldn’t complain as it was a free upgrade for them . The food was cold so we ended up having to get to the nearest shop so I didn’t have any problems with my diabetes .

Absolutely awful wouldn’t recommend it to anyone the wrap came with old soggy lettuce and was also half filled with bearly anything in it the Big Mac and big tastey also had old lettuce in them that looked brown and all the food came cold the drinks also came flat and warm and I also got a wrong drink when I went to complain about the drinks the staff wasn’t helpful and was quiet rude and gave me drinks that were again warm and flat and preceded to give me the wrong drink after I’ve said it’s wrong and they weren’t bothered to check it on the system absolutely awful service

Very disappointed. Many opinions from menu are unavailable in this branch. Instantly. Can not buy there milkshakes and mcflurry. I tried on weekdays, morning, evening, afternoon, weekends, different times, in May, in June, in August, just now. Me and my kids very disappointed. Why I can not order ordinary things from menu? What is going on? May be it is better to close this brunch then if you have many things from menu unavailable?? Instantly ???? Is it a joke?

Helpful friendly staff. Toilet air fragrance freshener had seen better days. Could do with a deep clean.
