Burga in Southampton

Such a lovely late night dinner. Came in for a late bite and wasn’t disappointed. We all got hot food, cooked well, exactly as described. When there was a complaint about one of the food items, staff were quick to resolve the issue. Cannot complaint, would definitely recommend.

We ordered 3 burga king meal deal takeaways. The most bland burgers I have ever tasted. No flavour or sauce, a little greasy and all thrown into a box with no care in presentation. I cannot believe the general ratings are high.

I have ordered from uber eats quite regularly. Burgers by far the best quality in southampton. Also try the dirty fries amazing Always quick delivery. All staff are a credit. They also have a new site in Portsmouth

The food is theoretically good but 3/3 times that I’ve ordered delivery it’s arrived stone cold and/or soggy.

Don't be deceived by the pictures! Burger was tiny and not worth the price. It tasted OK but was like a child's portion. They forgot some of our sides in the meal deal which we paid premium for, we received a refund via the delivery app however, but was still hungry. Felt ripped off even with a 40% voucher. Ordered from here last year and it was very good, maybe an off day.

Sadly disappointing tonight I am a regular customer I drive down and collect and have never had a problem yet getting it delivered has proven to be not worth it food was cold badly packaged and I was missing my most favourite thing you do peanut butter milkshake and have not been able to get hold of you to get sorted I literally eat at yours at least once a week if not 2 to 3 times a month and this has been my most disappointing experience normally you would get 5 stars from me but the lack of anyone to talk to about my missing milkshake has subsequently giving you a3

This was my first time visiting, and it was truly a great experience. The burger was fantastic, and the chips were perfectly crispy and delicious. The staff was very friendly, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend trying it out!

£40 for an Uber eats order for 2 people. One item was completely wrong and and the hotdog’s sausage was raw in the middle. Completely unacceptable.

Was looking for somewhere that served up some filthy smashburgers and reviews for Burga looked great, pleased to say they're well founded as this place was excellent! Great location and decor, love that the serving point and kitchen is literally a burger van within the restaurant itself. Friendly staff and great quality food, did not leave hungry! The "Hey Hot Stuff' burger had a great kick to it, very generous with the jalapenos and sauce. Meal deal was very reasonably priced too, even after upgrading to loaded fries for a little extra. Highly recommend!

Great burger! Really tasty! I like how they've done their own style, dirty fries were amazing, I actually ordered online and was hesitant as I live about 4 miles away but it arrived hot, packed the dirty fries in the middle so they were still piping hot! Nice to see a place that seems they care rather then just slapping it together. Will definitely be coming back!

Best burgers in Southampton! If not the best burgers full stop. Really surprised it's not at 5 stars - completely unjustified in comparison to the rest of burger places. It's at least a MUST TRY in my opinion.

Always great good from Burga. Looks amazing and tastes amazing too, just not a huge fan of the fries. Would be nice to see some different variety of chip (sweet potato, curly, etc) added to the menu.

I love spicy food, but for some reason these chose to cover mine chilli. I had the burgs sauce on chicken tenders (no warning about the sauce even being normal spice) and it was painful. Other good I order was good tho.

Ordered the buffalo wings, Mega hot & the sauce was lovely! The chicken was a bit tough on some of the wings though. Overall experience, a 3 out of 5 stars.

Ordered at 20:47 food arrived at 23:40. The excuse was i didn’t pick up my calls or opened the door. Apparently i was lucky that they had another order near by so they could send it out again which i believe they never did before. I had to call them 11 times to reach them. Do not order from this place

Ordered on uber eats, but store uses their own drivers, delivery driver didn’t come to door or ring door bell. I was standing outside next to the big house number. Eventually driver called saying he was down another street and he had been waiting 20 minutes at the wrong address even though the house number was written on the bag? Shocking. Food was alright but not worth £35 for 2 regular burger meals

No food to review, ordered at 2300hrs, I’m writing this review at midnight, no food, no delivery update and telephone number isn’t contactable. Uber Eats need to remove this place off their app.

I've been meaning to come here for a long time, It didn't disapoint, the staff are very friendly and helpful, I opted for the BBQ burger (it comes in a black bun), and it was lovely, loved the chips too. Some of the burgers come with a beef or chicken option too! There is also a veggie menu! A great selection of sweet milkshakes (£4.95) Fast food feel, but restaurant quality food so expect to wait a little while for the food, it is worth the wait!! Prices are around £8-£10 for a burger, u can add drink and chips for £3 so it's probably not in everyone's budget but a lovely treat once in a while.

Always 10 out of 10. Customer service/staff are always great, very friendly and official. Food is delicious & my absolute go to takeaway! You won’t get better burgers or chicken&fries elsewhere!! The best place for food in Southampton by far!

Shocking service waited over an hour and half. I phone them up to see we're the order is as my four kids and partner was hungry. The gentleman on the phone started to lie to me saying they try ringing me and that they push my buzzer witch I check while the man was on the phone and surprise surprise it was working even though he insisted they they push witch clearly they didn't. Then told me to bring it up with Just eat about the driver. Witch I'm shore he know this when saying. But there no way of physically speaking to any from just eat. To make it worse they didn't even want to sort out the order as he said he not cooking it again. So if I wanted it I would have to accept the food he cook over two hour ago by the time it got me. Why would i order £60 of food if i didnt actually want it .Absolutely joke I work in the same industry as this so i can understand things our not all so simple. But this service provided to me was shameful. I would be disgusted if my staff treated customers like that.

Ordered food over two hours ago, called them to find out where my order was to be told they had no drivers and had cancelled the order but 'might' be able to deliver in another hours time. When asking for a refund was told the manager would call me at some point. So no food and now out of pocket, brilliant.

Really impressed. For the price we were really impressed. Big portions, well cooked.

So far I cannot review the food since is been 1h that I am waiting for it to arrive... Tried to contact them via phone, they don't pick up, sent them a message via chat, no reply and I had to contact Portsmouth branch to contact them so we know if we start cooking or order something else. Got a phone call in the end with the excuse that had technical issues, which i am really sorry, but i don't buy it. I am not even sure of the quality of the food since they'll try to send it ASAP... Update: we received the order - our burgers have ZERO SALAD OR ANY ONION AT LEAST

Ordered man's on hot burger and Cheeto chicken both had very horrible salty and vinegar taste..it's not easy to eat and we complain about it. Same burger a few months back was delicious I'm not sure what happened. Maybe the new staff and chef needs to understand what customers are complaining about. Since the same complaint is in few other reviews here also. The kid's burger was nice. The cost is reasonable and the atmosphere is nice..

I love this place. It is clean, funky, the staff is very sweet and the food is delicious. Not greasy, not feeling heavy. It feels healthy, and their house mayo sauce is spot on . Always worth a visit when in town

First time ordering Burga from the UberEats app. Went with the Willy Wonka burger and it was delicious! Never had a bangle bun before and the fact it was rainbow was an added bonus. Didn't wait long for the food to arrive and it was still hot. Will definitely be ordering from burga again or visit the restaurant!

Tasty food, we would like to come back to try something different. Minus for cleanliness, dirty table, sticky menu, sticky floor. I saw the staff only cleans the tables but does not wipe them at all.

My favourite Burga place ever! Been to both the Southampton one is a step above due to being a full restaurant instead of takeaway only but just awesome food!

Overpriced uncooked meat, bad quality. Bad take away serving (everything is in the same box, hard to separate and eat). Disappointed

Came here for Valentines, food here was great. The milkshakes were yummy. The staff were very friendly, excellent, polite. The decor was beautiful and loved the swinging chair. Can't wait to come back again.

Been here a good few times, open late which is brilliant as a student. Always had really good food here!

A group of 10 went, the atmosphere and decor is lovely. Staff were really friendly gave us 10% off too, and complimentary milkshakes for kids. I think the pink and black buns felt and tasted a little stale and dry. Stick to normal brioche buns. Beef was good, chicken Cheeto burger nice but the buffalo wings were awful they had a horrible vinegar taste to them, I think the same sauce was used on man's on hot burgers. Overall we enjoyed. I would return if I was in the area to try different items.

Used to be my all time favourite restaurant until they raised the minimum on Deliveroo to 15 and made it difficult to track their orders. Feels like they’re only making it hard for themselves. The food is fantastic though! Would definitely recommend it to walk-in customers!

We decided to dine in, I got the willy wonka with a veggie patty and my husband the sheriff - both as meals. The wait time was quite long as they had a number of deliveries however, we would have been OK with this if the food was served hot. Despite the longer wait, our fries were Luke warm, not hot and my burger was the same. Despite this, the food still tasted nice. The variety of vegetarian/vegan burgers is underwhelming with only 3 choices. Staff was happy to swap beef patties for Veggie on the willy wonka which was great of them. The Veggie patty was actually vegetables as opposed to meat replacement which I found to be quite disappointing. They should work on improving Veggie menu.

Great burgers, good prices, and a unique interior. I’ve ordered from here on many occasions. However, they have started providing their own delivery service on apps like Deliveroo, rather than using Deliveroo’s provided service. This meant that my order took just over an hour and a half to reach me when the delivery time was quoted at 45-50 minutes. Given my proximity to the restaurant, this disappointed me and made me late for an event I was attending that evening. Overall, great food, bad delivery

We usually have a really good experience with Burga but with our recent order delivery was delayed then with phone calls back and forth for 30 minute after to be told our food had been delivered to the wrong address. All they did to rectify the issue was remake and resend out our food which thankfully was right and tasted good but definitely disappointed with the delivery and service. Overall had to wait 2h for our food to come.

Avoid if hungry!! Food was great - eventually! Ordered 18:45 received 21:15!! Sorry but 2 and half hours for delivery on a Wednesday evening is rubbish. Also they lie constantly when you call, ‘leaving shop in 5 minutes’, ‘10 minutes away’, ‘5 minutes away’, still waiting 30 minutes later!! Won’t be ordering again which is a shame!

I visited Burga on Thursday 4 May 2023 in the early evening, a weekday during term time. I was with three other people. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. I parked in the street nearby - parking was easy. The restaurant comprises of one small dining area with about 8-10 tables - it's more of a takeaway but with the option to eat in. The restaurant was bright, colourfully decorated and clean. The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected really speedily and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed The Stack burger with bacon and cheese fries and a salted caramel milkshake. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was very good value for money, I paid just £18 and left very full up! This is a great burger restaurant with very efficient and friendly staff - if you love burgers this place is well worth a visit!

I'd give 0 stars if I could! We ordered food to take away for a group, drove 30 mins to collect it and then had to wait 40 minutes as it wasn't ready on time. Then by the time we got back to eat, 3 of the burgers were missing!! We were promised a refund 2 weeks ago and haven't had one after multiple calls, emails and visiting in person. Terrible service unfortunately, definitely won't be returning!

Do not order collection from here. A group of 8 of us ordered ahead of time online for collection. I arrived at the restaurant for the time they gave on the email (having driven quite a way to try out this place). When I arrived the food was 30 minutes late (they hadn't started cooking it) - they did give me a complimentary drink which was a nice gesture but not a great start. Get back home.. and we're missing 3 burgers. Pretty rubbish considering the big order we made. So rang these guys up, who confirmed we'd get a complimentary meal on our next visit and refund for the missing items. Well, still waiting on the refund which was promised over a week ago...

Really great burgers, fair price aswell. I wouldn't recommend the Jerk chicken sauce as it is not for me, but there are plenty of other decent choices

Waited over 2 hours for delivery, called them numerous times to be told he's on the way, he'll there in 10 minutes and the best that he's outside(I was stood outside at this point). Lesson learned, I'll just eat in my hotel while I'm away from home.

Absolute unprofessional. We ordered food from then through UberEats at 2230 and at 0000 we were told it will be delivered in 10 minutes and it NEVER ARRIVED and then they stopped answering completely. Ridiculous service.

Ordered at 630pm. Said delivery would be 45 mins. Have called multiple times. No answer and now constantly engaged. Nearly two hours from when I ordered. Disappointing as their food is nice and delivery is normally longer than it says but it’s been an hour and 45 mins now. Taking the mick a little and not even answering the phone.

Was incredible. Got our food within 15minutes of ordering. Huge portions, incredibly tasty, incredible value for price. Very kindly took notice of it being my dads birthday and added some fries to our order- fabulous customer service.
