Visited many times, but last couple of times very average and over priced for standard of food. Pasta was overcooked so was very sticky. Portion sizes are getting smaller too. The cheesecake was more like a half serving as was the ice cream! The desserts I’m told are bought in so no work involved only serving, at nearly £10 (by the time you add 10% service charge on) very poor value and unexciting. Such a pity as convenient to walk to but much better more authentic Italian food just a short drive away in Ilkley. Lovely setting but service also very slow and not offered further drinks. Sadly not in a hurry to return.

Came here for dinner with friends on Friday and it was hit and miss! They were extremely busy so things took a lot longer to arrive, This was the same with food, bread, olives, drinks. Generally very slow. I had a regina pizza which was fine, decent enough. Hubby had parpedella bolognese. It was also decent. However, one of our friends had his pizza removed after arriving to the table, as chef forgot some important ingredients. Seriously?! I am not sure if there are other restaurants in Otley but not exactly impressed.

Sat outside in the terrace for dinner restaurant was very busy and very noisy hard to hear our own conversation above others not good for a romantic meal but can’t blame people for enjoying themselves Food was ok we felt was more style over substance Fritto misto to start the larger squid rings were chewy prawns great and the one piece of fish tasty loved the chunky tartare sauce courgettes had a bitter after taste Both had steak for mains fillet steak well seasoned but a tad chewy had better tbh the surf part was 2 huge prawns and one little langoustine not worth peeling for the tiny amount of flesh inside Meal with one soft drink and one bottle of wine was just shy of £150 ! Glad we went for the experience but on reflection we won’t return.

The food is always lovely, and we have dined here many times. We chose the Terrace on this occasion for a special birthday. The service in the Terrace was sadly very slow and felt very inattentive. It was a real disappointment. After 25 minutes we had to call over a team member to ask if we could order our food. And after 1hr 45 minutes, we'd finished our main course and again felt we had to ask to see a dessert menu. Unfortunately with the length of time we'd had to wait, we couldn't wait longer, so decided not to order dessert. We'd previously found service inside the restaurant to be much more attentive and had always previously felt they'd valued us dining there. This was a special occasion for our family and we felt overlooked, and the incredibly slow service really did taint our evening. I have responded directly to the restaurant after they requested feedback by email. Sadly there's been no response from them to it after 2 days. It would have been lovely to feel that our custom and experience was valued.

Needed somewhere close to Bradford for Sunday lunch. Buon Apps was recommended by a friend of a friend. "You can have Italian or a Subday roast." When it came to it we both opted for roast lamb. Delicious. The meat was really moist. We shared a tiramisu. Only complaint was erratic service. We'd booked a table and when we arrived at a fairly empty table we were told "We'll see if your table is ready." After waiting for 10 minutes, the waiter came to take our drinks order. He took my wife's order then wandered off. All a bit odd. Good food though not the cheapest

We stopped here last night while returning home from a day of walking, although we were underdressed for dinner the staff were more than accommodating and friendly, the food was a delight and the venue was warming comfortable and classy, I will certainly be back again and would highly recommend to anyone.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch with friends. The food was excellent, generous portions and a bottle of Sangiovese reasonably priced. Attentive and efficient. Looking forward to returning in the summer to eat outside in the beautiful setting by the river.

Fantastic place for a family meal. We called in on the off chance they had a table and they were so accommodating. Especially as they were already busy. Can’t thank the staff enough. Such a unique venue with the outdoor restaurant area but which was toasty warm with the heated lamps, log burner and rugs. Great atmosphere, delicious food that was freshly cooked with quality ingredients. Very friendly, efficient service. Will definitely visit again when we are in this neck of the woods.

It’s not often these days that you go out to eat and everything js excellent but that was our experience here on Easter Sunday. The menu is great - so much more creative than many Italian restaurants and that is a real plus - to have something different that makes you stand out from the crowd - and between us we had a real range of dishes. Every single one was fantastic. Super fresh and packed with flavour, great quality produce, expertly cooked and beautifully presented - and good portion size - not too much or too little. Really good service with well trained and friendly staff. Lovely touches to the environment too lifted the ambience and comfort factors. If I had one suggestion ( not complaint) it was that the music choice was a bit intrusive and didn’t really fit with a relaxing atmosphere- maybe something just instrumental? Can’t think why it took us so long to visit you but we will be back!

Wow, due to two broken hips at one time (what are the chances!) amongst the mums gathered in Otley, we were treated to a beautiful eat at home Mother's Day lunch. All three of us felt especially spoilt and treasured; the food was absolutely top class and the service extraordinarily kind. Thank you so much for many happy years of delicious food memories . I cannot recommend the 'Buon Apps, Otley' team enough.

We had my daughter's 18th birthday meal here, 20 people. From start to finish we could not fault the organisation and communication from Jools. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Alex and had drinks in the beautiful lounge. We had pre-ordered some drinks and our meals for the large group, but the service was seamless and so friendly. The food was absolutely devine. Not one of our party could fault anything and were blown away by the quality and service. Thank you Buon Apps for making this such a special night!

This Italian Restaurant never fails to delight for first class food and customer service second to none. Delicious Italian Lamb Roast that you don’t want it to end. Succulent meat, crunchy roast potatoes and vegetables coated with tasty gravy. Have tried several other places for pizza but none compare. Pizzas here never have a soggy bottom

What a lovely Sunday lunch at Buon Apps for my birthday. A card on the table was a lovely touch. The food and service were excellent as ever. My family, who hadn't previously been to Buon Apps, were very impressed and said we are lucky to have such a top notch restaurant on our doorstep in Otley. We are! Love it and can highly recommend. Visited with a friend for some dinner, have been wanting to try this for a while so was looking forward to it. Food was okay, I ordered a pizza but it wasn’t the best one I have had but still tasty. It was midweek so felt the atmosphere lacked. Paid the bill at the end but wasn’t looking at the card machine and they had added on over £9 on top (we had already paid 10% tip) which wasn’t impressed by but once alerted they rectified it and credited this back. Wonder how many people they do that to and don’t notice.

Poor service food average. Really disappointed as people raved about this restaurant. The setting is beautiful by the river but I wouldn't go again. It was very expensive. The starters were really lovely, A burrata one and a goats cheese one, really nice but 11 and 12 pounds each! The mains were very average and the puddings we waited so long for we considered leaving! We were not once asked if we wanted any more drinks or how our food was. Very disappointing experience

The three of us enjoyed our meal here in this beautiful restaurant with wonderful lights by the river. Excellent service, delicious food, nothing to dislike.

This is a family favourite. The food is always amazing, the service is friendly, all staff are kind to small children which makes it a relaxing experience and their fish stew is out of this world. My father always orders the calzone and my husband enjoys that too. Really amazing place for a meal. Highly recommend!!!

A really fantastic restaurant by the river in Otley. Delicious menu all served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. It’s not cheap but well worth the money. The outside area looks fantastic all lit up with the heaters! Will be back!

The current Mrs T had a meeting with a very old friend from her childhood - over the fence and horse riding in Miggie Woods. Met at the restaurant, welcomed, sat under the outdoor area. Service was perfect - paced to us. The experience at Buon Apps goes beyond words. Fish platter, lobster ravioli, aubergine parmigiana and cheesecake, all accompanied by a warming atmosphere and an amazing, welcoming and caring staff. As Italians we do miss Italy but here we really felt like home. Grazie ragazzi!
