Bumblebees in South Derbyshire

Had a fabulous meal today at Bumblebees with family. Staff were great, very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious. The place was clean and modern. Price was reasonable. Well worth a visit.

A very friendly cafe with homemade food. We went for a breakfast which was excellent quality and plentiful. It came with a drink included which was great value. The options are mini, small or large and you can swap/change items to suit your taste. We noticed on the specials for lunch- pulled pork cob, cottage pie and broth. The owner explained everything is homemade and fresh and the quality of the food is very important for her. The theme in the cafe was bees and we saw a board with a fact or two about bees we liked this idea and it would be nice to see more of this. There is a small outside area and a snug upstairs. We will certainly revisit.

I think we just found a new favourite pit stop. What a welcoming and friendly place. The best is seen when something goes wrong and boy did they deliver! My poached egg arrived over cooked and we waited a while for our tea but before I had started to eat, the owner arrived at our table with a fresh egg and apologies for the slow service, explaining that some staff were training but that is not an excuse, she deposited a refund on the table (which I returned). The fact that she acknowledged the mistakes without a need to be told speaks volumes. The dog got a treat as well. Definitely be back (regularly).

Me and my friend tried this lovely cafe after being recommended the staff are lovely can’t do enough for you we tried the afternoon tea best one we have had lots of choice on platter . Very clean we are now regulars x

Best takeaway breakfast cob in the area! Really friendly staff and great tasting food. Definitely a hidden gem especially at the price.

What a lovely little place to eat. Good food, friendly staff, and for me personally, somewhere you can get different scones and not just fruit ones. Certainly worth a trip down the motorway for me to eat or to takeaway from here.

The best food cooked fresh to order with good old fashioned customer service, the sisters done good😉stopped off here on T&M on my NB travels and visited a few times even for a take away coffee for the train station which is opposite, will definitely be returning 👌

What a lovely find…shame we live in Lincolnshire otherwise it would be a regular haunt. Lovely food with the best sandwiches we have ever had from any tea rooms. Thoroughly recommend.😘😘

Had a beautiful freshly cooked big breakfast here yesterday. Friendly greeting which was lovely as it’s not always the case at other establishments. Atmosphere was great and would definitely recommend to anyone who lives in the village or passing through. Well done ladies.

Been here previously for breakfast so thought we'd try their afternoon tea. Well we weren't disappointed. Lovely fresh quality sandwiches and cakes and good old Yorkshire tea. Scones were light and fluffy with plenty of fruit in them. Staff are really friendly and helpful and the premises are spotlessly clean. Our new favourite eating place.

Contacted them at short notice and responded quickly for a kids party in 2 days time. The price was reasonable and they arrived on the agreed time at the venue and the food was fresh and plentiful. We had great feedback on the food. Would definitely recommend and use again. Thanks!

We called here for a hot chocolate and bacon and egg cob on the way back from our morning walk! The place is spotlessly clean, the owners/staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The hot chocolate was lovely, as was the bacon and egg cobs, the dogs had a sausage each and were made to feel very welcome too! The food here is all fresh home cooked and very reasonable priced - we will definitely be back :)

Bumblebees cafe Willington this tearoom is lovely the staff are so friendly the food is amazing and will try to accommodate your needs where possible come try it out there's no bees but plenty of buzz

An excellent cafe! A very warm welcome and the bacon rolls were legendary. Would recommend to anyone and a good location for a canal side walk.

We called in during a walk, the cakes are delicious .The staff were so friendly, gave good information about the cakes ( wish we had nor already eaten lunch elsewhere) the food looked fresh good portion sizes . Very clean , dog friendly even the dogs were given treats. We will return to have lunch next time. A lovely little find ..

This place is a real gem, great food, very clean and great food. We have just finished our 3rd day, morning breakfast. The ladies are very welcoming and ensure you are happy with your order. Very friendly, caring service and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. If you live or are visiting Willington, we can highly recommend breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. After an invigorating walk along the canal path from Willington to Stenson and back we decided to call into the Bumble Bees cafe and was not disappointed. Last time we called here it was almost ready for re opening (last year)Lovely clean place and brilliant refreshments. The staff were very friendly and our sort of people. (liked a laugh). Raspberry scone had so much fruit in that every bite was tasty. It was served warm too. The chocolate brownie, I am informed, by my other half, was super delicious. Plenty of tea to get stoked up our energy levels. We have made a note that this will be our place of refreshment when in the area. Keep up the good work ladies.

Lovely breakfast one Saturday morning. Very welcoming and friendly service. The chef came out to check everything was OK with our meals. Would recommend the small breakfast as it was enough for me with the black pudding on the side 👍🏻😋 🐝

Absolutely fantastic experience. I called ahead of visiting, at 12:30, to ask if breakfast was still being served. Although this service had stopped at 11:30am, Joe still made it. This was for my husband’s birthday. She even put a candle in it! Great personalised service from Joe and Mrs Lamb. We’ll definitely be going back!

First time today we enjoyed breakfast after a walk along the canal. We can't rate it too highly.A delightful experience altogether.The food was perfect and the staff were so polite and friendly. We thoroughly recommend Bumblebees, without reservation.Don't hesitate,just go! Whether just a cup of coffee or more of a celebration,This tea room won't disappoint.We will certainly return.

I brought a couple of friends here for coffee this morning and had a wonderful time. We were struck by the warm and friendly welcome and the freshly decorated surroundings. Nice menu, everything freshly prepared and reasonably priced. My pumpkin spiced latte was delicious. We will be back for more!

I have visited here a few times now and each time the standard and service has been impeccable. The sandwiches / toasties are delicious (gorgeous ham) and the broth which I had today was just right for this wet day. Staff have always been keen to 'get it right' checking that we are happy and ensuring that the food meets their high expectations. Each time we've also taken some delicious cakes home for an afternoon treat. The brownies are the best I've ever had.

Once again wonderful home made food. My choice today, gammon ham, cheese & red onion in a panini, salad & homemade slaw - delicious! The Spiced Pumpkin latte was to die for. Brought home a selection of tray bakes for later. Lynne & Sue couldn’t have been more helpful. Pop in when you have time you won’t be disappointed.
