They hosted our acoustic club for a couple of years and were always lovely. A proper local pub.

Friendly but busy Saturday night. However, drinks were served quickly and efficiently. Dogbolter ale was very nice.

We stopped off for a wonderful evening. We came from Spain, my Spanish husband and friends and were made to feel really welcome. Great atmosphere and a lovely, traditional pub. Highly recommend a visit 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Extremely welcoming and helpful. We both have mobility issues and would recommend this pub because the staff are very helpful. Dog friendly too! The food is delicious and fresh and very reasonably priced.

Such a great evening, went for the first time and the whole evening was a pleasure. The service was excellent, very attentive staff and very professional for a pub. Food was lovely and served in good time, reasonably priced too. We will definitely be going back!!

Had a lovely lunch here. Friendly service. Good coffee to start with. Fish and chips for me. Choice of mushy or garden peas. Tartare sauce. Very hot and tasty.. Good size portion with lovely thin batter. Nice buzz going on. Very nice.

Nice vibrant local, food looks good but I have not tasted it yet. Been in twice recently and the beer has been very good. Impressed and I will come back again.

Had our handfasting there and can't rate this pub or the staff ( landlady and her son ) enough. They really did us proud and everyone who attended loved the place and food. I would recommend to anyone

Booked a meal for a party of four for my uncles 89th birthday. We all had the rump steak beautifully cooked as we had requested . Candles and a cake knife were supplied for our cake and the owner played a couple of requested songs over the pa. Very friendly and accommodating owners and staff. Very up to date and clean interior - thank you very much indeed.

Lovely pub run by lovely people. Arriving here was my only real quarm, which is of no fault of the lovely people that run it. The pub has no parking, but being a traditional village pub this is understandable. We were warmly welcomed (and recognised from a previous visit) by Becky and her son (Cody, Connor, callum??) and proceeded to order from the menu. One thing I would like to note is that the menu is not set to just what is on there and is fully adaptable. I ordered a mixed grill with black pudding (pictured) and ordering a side of onion rings and mushrooms was no trouble at all (this was an afterthought on my part). The wife had fish and chips. Everything was cooked perfectly and with pride by Becky. I almost finished it but I blame the pint of Guinness for leaving a few scraps. The fish had a light gluten free batter and cooked to a very high standard (even Gordon Ramsay would approve). Cody (Connor, callum??) even came to open sauce packets for us as we are both inept at opening sachets. Overall our visit was enjoyable and we felt very comfortable there. Thank you so much for having us.

Sat in the sunshine enjoying lunch with my husband this afternoon and honestly the food and the service are exceptional. The staff are attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcomed. We ordered from the new menu, pizza, wings and loaded chips and the food was quickly served and was delicious. Everything was excellent and definitely value for money. Can't wait until we can come back again.

Covid safe place to drink, very strict with the rules. Difficult to book a table on a spur of the moment. Book well in advance.

Not many inside but too busy in small outside garden. Was going to have Sunday lunch but only table in use inside had 4 very loud, swearing blokes there. Barmaid did tell them to stop it but it continued off and on. So we left to go elsewhere. A shame as nice inside and usually no problems there. Cery nice staff too.

Me and my friend came here on thursday night. We entered the pub and got served our drinks. Withing a mintue of us sitting down we was told by the landlord and i quote. Any other night lads but not tonight. I said what have we done he didnt answer. Around 10 minutes lad 2 lads approached my friend and said i think you should leave. Again having doing nothing wrong we got the impression that we should leave so we did. About 1 hour later we returned around 10.55pm. Went in and asked for a drink we was refused. I said why still no clear answer. Asked for coke and water again refused. He then said do you want me to call the police. I said go on then. Around 5 mintues had pasted and 4 squad cars came. With no reason what so ever. Wasting taxpayers money for nothing. This pub needs to close down or new owner as the young landlord has no customer service skills what so ever. Young drugged up people playing pool. I could go on. This has too be the worse place to go in leicester by far and i will not be going back at all. Dive of a place who the landlord needs a shoe in

As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by the bar staff politely and a generous smile. The layout is very good, variety of beers and other refreshments. The food menue is unusual especially " In a Bucket ". Outside seating area is very clean and tidy. Best village pub for miles.👍👍👍

I went out for a drink with a friend, who suggested this pub for a few drinks at the end of the evening. The place felt like a youth club. Not because of the age of the customers - but it had that sticky carpet with crisps on the pool table, vibe. I certainly wouldn’t eat here.

Live just round the corner and go in all the time. Friendly staff and always a warm welcome. :)

Staff great, unfortunately our stay was cut short so didn't eat there but people around us were eating, food looked lovely and they seemed very happy with it

Best pub in the area. Recently refurbished with amazing food and cheap drinks with new promotions all the time. Great for all ages with a function room for parties. Perfect place to go for any occasion.

Having visited on a few occasions in the last three months both in day and in the evening, I have found this a very freindly welcoming place. The food is really nice and the bar staff attentive and freindly. I had no problem being served. The function room is really lovely and I had my daughter's birthday party there, Louise and Mary couldn't do enough to help to help make it a great success. There is a great choice of drinks and some excellent promotions and themed nights. Cake and coffee on a Friday morning is a great time to meet up with your freinds for a relaxing chat and the kids are welcomed to. If it's a bit to busy as long as there isn't a function on the staff are happy to let you use the room to get away from it all. Overall this is a great village pub and worth a visit whether it's a night out a quiet drink or a bite to eat.

Had our 'Christmas do' there recently and had a great time. Function room for the meal was good, staff were nice and friendly and the atmosphere was great.

Just dropped in for a quicked pint, hadnt been in for at least 26 years. Barman chose to serve a regular before me as they waved their glass at him. Also seemed busy with all day drinkers. Beer okay, pub clean and tidy. May leave it another 26 years before I bother again.
