Great authentic desi food! Really enjoyed the lamb chops and fish. Meat curry was great! Staff was very accommodating!

A great spot for traditional Asian food and desserts. We loved the Mixed Grill and Kachori Chaat. Service was quick, professional and friendly. Also, you can’t leave here without trying one of the desserts. My wife loved the Gajar Halwa with Ice Cream and I had the Falooda, which was also quite nice.

When it comes to quality food there aren’t many places that can compete with Bukhara. The slow roasted leg of lamb is one to try. The prune lamb curry was also a delight. The place is in need of some refurbishment but the quality of the food cannot be faulted. Never disappoints.

We’ve been fortunate enough to visit Bukhara several times over the last 10/15 years, and the service has always been consistently spot on - whether it’s just the two of us or a group of 30+ (booked well in advance for a larger group, naturally). The staff are always accommodating, and parking has never been an issue when we’ve dined here. Already looking forward to our next visit for their legendary leg of lamb. Just writing this is making me hungry! Accepted card payment on our visit. Staff verbally confirmed the food here is halal.

I had a terrible experience at Bukhara. The food quality was shockingly low, and it was evident that freshness or hygiene was not a priority. Unfortunately, after eating here, my stomach is upset. The overall experience was so disappointing that I will never come here again. I will also make sure to inform my family and friends to avoid this place. Absolutely not worth the money or time!

Food was good but did find that what we ordered was overly salty. Byriani was really tasty and garlic naan was too, nice and thin with some crisp on it. Poppadoms usual, comes with 5 dips. Ordered masala fries, this was just normal fries with masala powder sprinkled on them, usually when we've ordered these in other restaurants they come with onions, Peppers, chillies etc that have been stir fried together with masala seasoning. No alcohol served, not sure if you can take your own like some places allow as we didn't ask.

I have been going to Bukhara for 10 + years and it really is the best food is consistently amazing. The staff are so friendly and remember me when I go! I have been as a couple and in large groups and they can accommodate perfectly with issues. Great value for money. 100% worth it

I have been going Bukharas for many years, and not once have I been disappointed. The food is amazing. the curry’s have spectacular flavour, the meat starters melt in your mouth. The service is excellent. A true honest family run business who take good care of you. I would highly recommend anyone to try this place out.

We came here on the recommendation of a friend. Here's my honest review of the place. Car parking is great . Lots of space to park. The interior of the restaurant is outdated in my opinion. More like a cafe than a restaurant. The service we received. It wasn't 100% professional like you see in other restaurants. We were kind of rushed in a way. The food was great. The portions were small for the price they charge. I didn't like it to be honest .

I'm a bit of a harsh critic when it comes to food, even though the food was great I always find a bit too much oil is used in curry dishes which I struggle to appreciate. The bread was great and the dessert was authentic, I would go back and try more of their menu items, but in this visit I believe the score is justified.

The food was amazing, lots of it and really quick service. Very popular place, families still coming in at half nine. Lots of space with a function room as well. Really worth a visit. They don’t supply alcohol but the mocktails are good.

Over priced Over Hyped Dull Atmosphere Under Whelming. Food was not the greatest. The chicken Karachi was bland. The mango salad is just cheap mango pulp added on sliced mango carrot and cucumber pepper. To pay £6.95 is extortionate for that starter. The Sheekh kebabs (lamb and chicken) come on plate and not on sizzler with one sliced cucumber, one piece of lemon and one cherry tomatoe!!! The nihari biryani is bland with rice like it’s been leftover from the day before. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. There’s no atmosphere ie the smell of grilled food or anything at all. Their cups did not smell right when went to drink water from it. Had to get it changed and even the we had to wait 5 mins. Awful. Sorry. A very expensive 3 figure bill ever in a restaurant

Just had dinner here. Food was ok, but the service from the waiter (with a beard) was absolutely atrocious, rude and down right obnoxious. Definately a cafe atmosphere rather than a restaurant. Being Brit Pakistani, i know the service back home would be better. I definately won't be returning.

The food was really nice, but the staff's behavior was really poor. We had a big family gathering, and there was one autistic kid who was taking his time to give an order. The staff was really rude towards him, and they kept bugging us to leave early when we were giving our desert order. The staff management was really poor. I would not recommend anyone come with their family here.

Ansolutely horrific food & will definitely rule out any further visits to Bhukara. Over 20 of us as part of a work group had booked a meal which to make convenient was pre ordered. This included Lamb of Leg, Biryani, a Lamb & Chicken dish & a few other dishes. The quality of cuisine was dire with even the fries being utterly horrible. Difficult to pin point exactly why the food was poor but in some instances it felt the dish was certainly not fresh & in some instances it just felt the chef cooking the meal was sub standard. All in all a bitterly dissapointing experience a destination I certainly will refrain fron visiting. The final hammer blow was a combined bill of £750 which considering how poor the food was a bitter pill to swallow.

Nice food. It's not the same as what it was but still a pleasant experience. The Chilman Biryani is a favourite although a little pricey.

The food was decent, chicken boti and lamb chops stood out. Wasn’t a fan of the seekh kebabs. Desi Lamb karahi was average. Service was poor, understaffed, had to physically get up a couple times to either ask for more drinks, tissues or more nan. Overall, it was a decent experience aside from the poor service.

Our friends brought us here for a meal and it was superb. The owner told us all about each meal and about the fusion of spices from Uzbekistan to Mongolia. We had a jug of mango lassie which was delicious, two peshwari naan and two garlic naan, a whole leg of lamb served on pillow rice with roast spiced potatoes or stop.Finally, a whole chicken spiced and delivered with a delicious bowl of curry sauce. Each meal was tasty and plentiful... It was well worth the drive from Liverpool

Absolutely fantastic food, staff very helpful

The food was OK. the Afghan Lamb starter was unusual, with the lamb being very soft. I'm not sure what cut of meat or method of preparation was used. Lamb Madras was OK. Not bad but not exceptional, again the Lamb was very soft. Not tender, but soft. The waiter was a bit scruffy with shirt tail hanging out, looked like he had just been to the toilet. In addition, the waiters and staff kept shouting across the restaurant, and over our table, to each other in their own language, which was very annoying. There was no atmosphere, no music, all hard surfaces, and paper napkins on the table. The heating was provided by numerous garage type fan heaters, and there was lots of to-ing and fro-ing with takeaway collections. Overall, it was a bit like having a meal in a taxi rank. Price wise, it was quite expensive. Don't think that I will be going again as there are far nicer places that serve Indian food nearby. A later update, we all suffered from diarrhoea the next day.

Food was OK, not the best asked for a lamb madras spicy it was far from spicy and had coconut milk init the onion bajji was very salty the roti was burned and hard if u like currys mild with no flavour then I reccomend the food looks nice but the flavours where not there. but I will not be returning 50pound wasted!!

Good food, especially the mango Salad was uniquely great, never had it before. The portions were generous. Service was great. Cost I don't know a dear friend paid. Also have a musalla in the basement.

In my honest opinion this was the worst meal I’ve ever had. I was disappointed as soon as we walked in it feels like you’re sat in a warehouse they make you wait at the entrance by the door where it is freezing. The waiter rushed our order did not engage in conversation at all with us. The samosas tasted very cheap and off the chips were very obviously refried which was just shocking. The main dish was chicken and it stank really badly like it hadn’t been cooked properly felt absolutely sick after eating the meal.. absolute waste of money.. AVOID

Starters was good and the deserts were great but the meat dish was very disappointing and chicken travelling so far in my mind full exiting in mind looked very down in front of my family to be honest The main course was not good at all very disappointed 😢

Absolutely Abysmal food. I don’t know what possessed one of my friends to visit this establishment. The waiters were not eager to serve us and they rushed us to order and did not allow any changes to our food. My friend foolishly paid £35 for a steak recommended by the waiter and many of us ordered lamb chops. However what we got was the steak of a baby lamb and a baby lamb chops. So small in size. I was left shocked. I did not enjoy my experience and would not recommend. Keep away . Keep away. Keep yourself away

Absolutely appalled by the quality of the food and service. Best part of this restaurant was leaving it. Make sure they are not putting anything on your table because they will even charge you for a grain of rice.

Not so good… Staff nice, food not so good. Bhajis too hot and spicy… Lamb Dopiaza- too bitter, not rich enough and it had pickled onions in it! I love pickled onions but not in a curry! Too much oil in curry also…

I went out for food with my family as it was my dad's birthday we came from sheffield and came across this restaurant. The service was rapid. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The best of the meal was the Chilman biryani and the mocktails. I would recommend people coming from far and will visit again.

we visited this restaurant on sunday late afternoon. I must say its one of the best restaurants i have visited. food was absolutely delicious and service was on point. staff took care of our needs. they also have prayer facilities which was very convenient for us as we had travelled from far and needed to pray. a definite visit if u r in the blackburn/preston area.

Had a variety of dishes including their famous chilman biryani and my personal fav leg of lamb..soo delicious and soft and the mango salad really topped it up. (I want the recipe..) Service was also great and staff were lovely and friendly. Will deffo visit again.

We had group of 24 people for a delicious dinner. The restaurant is spacious, our order was presented in a timely manner, all hot and tasty.. faultless. Loved the salads.. and the desi leg of lamb was just faultless. The Chilman biryani is a must to order and the Thai mango salad.. There is ample parking and a prayer room ... must visit if in Blackburn

The waiter seems like he's not bothered but then turns up with extra bits and gives some good advice on the menu options. Food is delivered very quickly, a little too quickly at times but at least it's efficient. Now, the food. Absolutely brilliant. Much better than a better known restaurant on the A59 just up the road. Very authentic and superb flavours. Portions are of a good size, nice and hot and full of flavour. Surroundings aren't as plush as some restaurants but it's not bad and that doesn't matter when the food is this good. It's a dry restaurant which makes it cheaper, stops rowdy behaviour and fizzy water or mango lassi are great accompaniments. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic! Authentic food and friendly service. We had a large party here and we all had the best time - the food was delicious, cooked with care and presented well. We had help with ordering and ended up with a good selection of dishes. Staff were attentive and friendly, we couldn’t have asked for more. I would heartily recommend this place for an enjoyable meal with friends and family.
