Came in for food and couldn’t fault it, Abi was very helpful with what we needed. Couldn’t fault it, would recommend.

Beth was very helpful and her service was excellent. Asked if we needed anything and checked back to see if everything was okay with our food. Beth also mentioned the promotional offer when ordering online you get £5 off your total bill.

We go here every week for a late lunch - our reward for a hard morning at work. The food is always good and the apple and berry crumble is just divine, specially when there's cherries in it..... Service is good too, friendly and attentive.

Lovely meal 2 had Sunday roast good size portions plenty of gravy . Other had chicken tikka and rice was also good . Lovely staff very helpful with my 93yr old mum who was in a wheelchair opened the doors for us ,quick service asked if the meal was ok and we had everything we needed. 10 / 10 will definitely be back.

Lasagne is rubbish but the rest is good. Staff are brilliant can't fault them. It's always busy so says it all really.

Not bad but nothing to shout home about either. Exactly what you would expect from a chain pub within the hungry horse branches. Basic and affordable. Good for inexpensive visits and play area great to keep kids busy and get out there energies.

Absolutely disgusting. Spent an hour in this place. An hour too long. Food was far from good. One stake was replaced by an quality as poor one. As I sat waiting for the replacement stake I started to realise I was sat in absolute filth! Once my skin started to crawl we quickly left leaving most of the meal behind. Please take a look at the photos make your own mind up.

Visited for breakfast as we do regularly. What I want to know is, why on the last 3 occasions we have been the price has differed. Two weeks ago our breakfast cost£11.60 and just over 5 days ago the exact meal cost£12.70. However today the exact meals cost £16.00 . I was given some excuse but why was this not the case on my previous visits. Because I questioned the price I also noticed that for a cup of tea, which ok you could refill, was £3.69. However the price of the tea, whilst very high, was the same as when I visited on earlier dates. Needless to say they have lost a regular customer.

Has to send a portion of wings back 2 x due to them being gooey and undercooked (raw) They did give us refund before mains arrived for the wings which was nice BUT we also had to question why we was charged 2 x for the drinks and the mains was shocking tasteless and poor last time we came it was quality really gone down hill

Came in Friday 14th and it was busy. We hadn’t booked a table but the lady at the stand happily found us a table. The food was lovely and the staff we’re friendly.

Been going to poachers for many years and I have always been made to feel at home and very comfortable! Food is always made to a high standard and served very quickly. Also, the place is always very clean especially the toilets! Great atmosphere and great in summer due to the amount of outside seating. Highly recommend.

I had my daughter’s birthday meal here recently (17th Jan) we reserved a large table and met with friends and family. The food was great and for such a large party we could not fault the service at all. After we ate all the children went into Wacky Warehouse for a play, they loved it, Lauren in Wacky’s was amazing with the kids. Can’t recommend enough. Everyone enjoyed it and we’re planning on all meeting here again soon.

Attended last night to celebrate my mother's 81st birthday. We were a party of 4. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were made to feel welcome by a lovely man named Paul. He made sure we were happy with everything. We had an assortment of starters(great tasting food). We were then given time to digest before being asked if we would like our main course. We all had different main courses which again were piping hot and great tasting!! All in all a lovely evening! Thanks Mrs B Metcalf

Well, I’m not one to do reviews but I’m so impressed with this pub! Definitely a hidden gem and surprised it wasn’t busier! we broke down on the motorway last week and this was the closest place we could find. We nipped into the wacky warehouse which was on the back of the pub, met with a huge smile from harley, who from the get go offered us warm drinks and sorted the kids out with activities to do, she made us feel so welcome we’d forgotten we had even broken down and we was here for that reason. Every credit to this young girl! Brilliant service!

We stayed at Premier Inn opposite so thought this would be agreat place to get a Sunday roast. We were delighted to see there was a deal, sunday roast and drink £10! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the roast, we ordered extra cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets but really didn't need to. We decided to pop back the following morning for breakfast as the selection was far superior to the premier inn cooked offering. All staff were friendly, special big up to Paul who couldn't do enough for us.

We go here every Monday with a man I care for before his evening disco. The food is always excellent quality, staff can’t do enough for us and the pub itself is always clean with a great atmosphere. I recommend The Poachers to my friends as it has wacky warehouse attached so ideal for parents wanting to tire the kids out and a nice tea! Food prices are reasonable too and often there are offers on! Well worth a visit!

The Poachers is a good value, budget smart, family friendly pub, with tasty pub food. The staff have always been very understanding and supportive of our needs as a family with disabilities, and I can't rate them highly enough! Jake, Harley, Ellie, Lucy, Abi, Lauren, Paul, Ethan, Liam and the rest of the Team always look after us when we visit! Thank you xxx

I was actually here to provide entertainment and everyone was fantastic, lots of dancing all night long. It was a full house, all food was served efficiently and was delicious. Great selection of drinks and lovely staff, especially Paul the waiter.

We visited as a group of 23 people, and we're expecting it to be hard work, however ordering was easy, and surprisingly all our meals arrived at the same time. Our food was hot and delicious.. Credit given where it's due!

Went here last minute to the wacky warehouse, didn't even have a clue it existed. Great soft play area not too big and not too small, you can keep an eye on your little one from where your sat. Lauren who served us was lovely, very good customer service. Food was okay

I come to poachers every Tuesday for my little lad to play in wacky warehouse the staff are amazing down there especially Harley she is so good with the kids very polite and always has a smile on her face
