Come hear a couple of times a week. never have any issues. friendly staff, good food and plenty of tvs for watching the footie. it’s just a shame it’s not nearer my house 🤣

Had a great laugh last night at the quiz night, great atmosphere, great service and very friendly staff.

Amazing food! Highly recommended the cornflake chicken strips!! Staff are all friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere too regardless of how busy the venue is. Also their breakfast waffles are banging!

Great pub, go in every week to a relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and good food at reasonable prices. What more can you ask?

I had the ruddles steak and ale pie, piping hot and absolutely gorgeous can't fault it.

Went on a Friday stopped in on way home. Service was good. However, food was poor quality I had the slider burgers, which was just warm, not hot and very bland and tasteless. Missus had a baguette and chips which she said was dry and only warm. Would not return here.

Crap venue get and get out service poor dump ya plate with no comment very poor we will not visit again

Jessica our server was lovely and made our experience great and we will definitely be visiting again in hopes of getting her lovely service!

Came in last week and the food was average but our server Jessica was amazing. She was very helpful explaining the menu and also very polite witch made the whole experience better

The only fault is the tables are sticky, staff bob on food good😁

Although we’d booked there was plenty of room. Plenty of seating options. Found a table and bought drinks ( plenty of choice) , and ordered food. Starter came and really disappointed! Cheesy garlic breads, 2 tiny pieces ! However the mains of jerk chicken and chicken dish were good and tasty. Staff checked on our main food and although we mentioned the poor starter offering ( others did as well) the waitress said she’d report it, we weren’t too disappointed not to think about returning.

Just took the family for lunch, service absolutely fantastic, Maggie, who has attended to us on several visits here, is wonderful and a credit to her employer.All the staff are equally as attentive, faultless service which is rare to find, thank you again

Was heading home from a long trip came of the motorway and was feeling hungry stopped off at the poachers for some food the staff was very welcoming the food was great and also very good for value and even had a wacky warehouse for the kids to run around and kept them entertained while we waited for our food the staff in the wacky was just as accommodating as the servers and interacted with the kids the entire time made our trip home wonderful thank you the poachers

Food was lovley not over expensive staff were ok atmosphere was busy and loud.only point i could make was tables need wiping when clearing away.hate sitting at dirty tables.

Friendly staff, food nice for price

Gobsmacked. I have never had to get my own cutlery in a GK. When we were asked if we needed anything else, we asked for cutlery we were told to get our own front the stand. Poor. Will sick to those near home.

came for a meal with my family and i have to say the service was excellent. we ordered off the breakfast menu which is from 9-12 and it was amazing. i couldn’t fault the place

Don't usually leave reviews but iv got to for having the worst roast dinner on Sunday I have ever had, how you can get so many items wrong in one plate, mash was dry like clay, beef was cut so thin It looked like it was sandwich meat, Yorkshire and roast potatoes were soggy and veg was wildly undercooked, hard and bland, the whole thing was obviously thrown on a plate and wacked in the microwave, why else would the plate come out 200degrees, atleast put a tiny amount of effort in please, only thing that made it edible was the gravy which was actually nice, gf had katsu chicken which ended up being just chicken nuggets with a tiny tub of katsu sauce on the side, will avoid this place from now on

I took my 2 children in to the wacky area and was met by a friendly young lady. The kids went off to play and was happy. Harley who was working was so friendly, interacted with the kids and kept the place clean and tidy. She even took the time to have a little chat with us and make sure we were all ok and that we didn’t need anything. The kids helped her tidy up at the end tidying all the toys away and she was so greatful. Very cheerful and we will definitely be back. Thank you!

I usually come on my own for breakfast and always good service ,good food .so for my grown up sons birthday last week booked for four of us .the table was sticky we had to wipe it ourselves ,my grandson had a meal that had gravy on the side to dip ,it was dropped down so hard the gravy went all over his plate ,he wouldn't let me say anything as he is 13 and was embarrassed. After my son ate his meal the table was very wet where the skillet had been ,I asked a young man to wipe it ,he squirted, from standing up ,onto the table a liquid that went in sons beer,grandson cheesecake when we questioned it he laughed and walked away. There was a few other things like the short skirts that the waitresses were wearing ,not a good luck when wiping tables ! So 75 pound down and no-one had fun ,sorry was disappointed

Great place to meet family/friends due to it's location. Food is very good and the staff are really polite.

Lovely food, service, plenty of spaces. Needs more attention to cleaning, as Aircon vents covered with thick dust.

As a lorry driver i often stop locally overnight, get a decent plate of food, a couple of cold beers and then hit the pillow. Piri piri chicken wings and the Korean chicken burger are my current go to plates....the sauce is hot enough on the wings but not silly....the burger is tasty...... One major gripe.....food arrives without cutlery or a tissue/serviette. Get up, walk through the restaurant and get your own...wow! Seriously, how poor is this? Even Wetherspoons provide cutlery wrapped in a serviette..... I know we are not talking Michelin star here but the basics are not hard to achieve.

Came for tea with my friends and I really enjoyed it! I had fish and chips and it was really tasty, all the food was and so reasonably priced! Was served by Emma, super friendly and helpful. 5 stars from us!

Brilliant service always at the Poachers, never fails to disappoint!! Special mentions to Lydia on Bar and Jake on the restaurant for top notch service, quick, efficient and delicious food to finish the night off, definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat or a night with friends and family 😌

Quick service and friendly staff however the food was very average. We were stopping in the hotel next door and couldn't be bothered to go anywhere else as we arrived late evening after working in preston. Was just convenient.

We stopped for lunch at 2.30pm on Saturday but no sandwiches or toasties on the menu, so we did not order anything, place looked dirty and tired we will not be returning.

Great food with low prices,amazing deals every day for food and drinks. I am pregnant and had a jug of cocktail just for £6! Staff very kind and helpful ☺️ My little one had a frozen yogurt for just 1.79.

Food was served quicker than anywhere else I know, and the staff were really friendly in the pub and in the wacky warehouse part.

I eat here quite often and normally all the staff are fabulous but I went with a friend 11/6/24 and was disgusted with the manner and tone a colleague (I was told his name was Alex)spoke to a young colleague who had been suggesting food options with me and was being extremely helpful and polite.I was shocked that this Alex reprimanded the young co worker with foul language and also infrastructure of customers that poor lad

I come here every few weeks for a meal with my family and we are always happy with the food and service. Good food deals on during the week and there is a wacky warehouse for the kids as well.

Was there for granddaughter birthday. Was very limited space and dark.. nothing apart from obviously watching you kids..fir adults to do.. toilets dirty.. food want very hot for party food.. some adults ordered seperate and was still cold.. bar staff apart from 1 young boy were invisible

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Foods good and sensible priced, plenty of parking.

Food quality is not the best, dry cheap cuts and freezer burned , ice cream been frozen and unfrozen that many times it’s crystallised. Donut was very dry and inedible. Still expensive for poor quality food.

Always have family breakfast here every few weeks and enjoy lunch out with friends here. The food is always good, the hash browns were very tasty, the coffee is lovely and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. There's usually around 9 of us and we always get our food and drinks together, puzzles and crayons for the kids to keep them occupied and TV with sports for the guys entertainment. Always a good atmosphere and great value for money. The wacky warehouse also makes it a good few hours out if you have little ones and doesn't cost much at all. Highly recommend

Came into the poachers this morning for breakfast, and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection, in which I found out was cooked by Martyn. Ethan who served us was very helpful and gave us the best service, will definitely be coming back here again.

I simply love the food here. Always fresh and even when busy it came in reasonable time. Great selection and the staff were friendly. Well worth a visit .

I regularly pop into the poachers for its friendly atmosphere, great selection of drinks and varied menu. Sasha is a marvellous bar tender and always makes me feel welcome. She deserves a pay rise for her dedicated service

Food was great and served promptly. Only issue was a small portion. Had pie and mash and only got a very small amount of mash with my meal and a tiny jug of gravy. Pie was excellent

Love coming here with friends and / or family. Great value for food and drink. Menus has something for everyone and every day of the week you could never get bored of the menu. Paul (Andrew) is so friendly, attentive and always goes out his way to make sure you are looked after. Would recommend here for whatever occasion, never fails.

Great experience! Food and atmosphere was very good and was very impressed from the service and in particular the barman Jack who was very welcoming and pleasant! Will definitely be returning soon again :)

Been in several times now.. Really accommodating for larger groups. There were 9 of us tonight.. Food all came at the same time and we all really enjoyed our meals. The steak was cooked to perfection. This is our new go to for celebrations. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Thanks lots

Very good food and value for money and very friendly and very professional staff

I went for a breakfast today. The breakfast was value foe money,however, it was cold the plates were not hot this may have helped had they been. The eggs were well undercooked very slimy. I don't think i will be going back again. Had the breakfast been hot would have been totally different.

Came to the the wacky warehouse today for lunch and a play. Lauren was working and she was amazing absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and had a smile on her face at all times. Good staff like her will be hard to find she is everything the customer service should be

Had the full English breakfast excellent value and enough on the plate , sausage, egg, beans, mushrooms bacon (plenty of it ) Hash browns (2) all for £4.79p With a tea I paid £6 29p ,, , don't think they do fried bread and if you want toast it's extra, but this place was pleasant, very clean , bar and food service great, all staff very friendly and helpful I will most definitely be returning here very soon thanks

Myself and my Partner visited on a fairly busy Wednesday evening. The service we received from a young lady whom worked behind the bar was absolutely top class. Very professional polite and a credit to the company she works for. I believe this young ladies name was Sasha. Thank you for your diligent service and your fantastic customer service.

Update: We've brought friends and family here on multiple occasions now and each time it's wonderful. Food is delicious, great prices, and always brilliant service from the staff. A firm favourite for us for a weekend breakfast - even made an effort to fit us in on Mother's Day morning in between what looked like a lot of bookings. Thank you!
