We should have got the thicker fries, but overall fantastic burgers, great staff and a great Edinburgh eatery!!

Tourist in Edinburgh with the family. Food was great, especially the chicken. The atmosphere was great. Service seemed friendly but not very attentive and the server changed in the middle of the visit even though the original server was still there the whole time, seemed odd but maybe that’s normal for there.

Absolutely love Bucks Bar. We went two times during our stay in Edinburgh, the service was friendly and the fried chicken was amazing as well as their shakes and floats.

My first visit and I'd go back again. Visited with friends for a round of chicken burgers and a few beers while listening to rock music. Can't fault the food, service and ambience.

Rory greeted us at the door and made us feel really welcome. The food was fabulous and great concept... chicken burgers and wings done in many different styles! My partner and I both went for burgers which were huge and delicious. If u like spice...go .. if u don't...still go.. as the chicken was cooked perfectly. Also my lil beagle was welcome to sit under the table and he was also offered treats and water.

Frequent flyer here - awesome food, on the outlook is a little on the pricey side but the portions are great and the quality of food is brilliant. Would highly recommend 🥳 Ps the milkshakes are huge 😍

Visited this place in Edinburgh. Loved the Nashville loaded fries and Buck Mac burger. Portion size was great. Shout out to Rory for his friendly customer service!

10/10 chicken burgers with so many different options to cater for different tastes. We had the salt and chilli burger and the King burger. Portion size is excellent. Service was also great, speedy and overall excellent experience. Would visit again!

Food is great! We tried chicken & waffle. Mine got Mac & Cheese on it and the other one is plain chicken & Waffle. Portion is great. The chicken is tender and juicy. The waffle is excellent! Definitely going back!

Such a fun, warm pub! It felt very American - which was a good vibe with the rock music and all. Rory was our server, bartender and comedian. 10/10. The food was delicious with a short wait given how busy it was for a Tuesday in January! Will be coming back!

Bucks Bar is always a winner! Food was delicious and service was good, but slightly forgetful because of the evening rush. Sadly they had run out of brie for the Christmas special burger.

We discovered this restaurant and had two fried chicken burgers (to take away), it was really delicious and very generous. Although it's not easy to eat a hamburger with such a large piece of fried chicken protruding generously from the bun, at least you get what you pay for!! The welcome was warm and smiling, and the preparation was quite quick. A great discovery!!

I visited Bucks Bar whilst on a work trip to Edinburgh, it did not disappoint! I loved everything about it. The service was super friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and the food delicious. Anna was particularly brilliant. I'll definitely be back!

Wow! An amazing hidden gem just off the main road. We had the warmest of welcomes from the amazing team at Bucks and everything was explained to us. Very attentive! The space has loads of photo's of rockstars through the ages and the ambience is fantastic. The food is mostly chicken burgers and chips/fries with a few extra bits such as mac n cheese. I swear this was one of the best burgers i have ever had, it was MASSIVE!! The selection of hot sauces was perfect. I highly recommend this place for eating, socialising and getting 'bucked up'.

I was given a gift voucher as a present & decided to use it for a celebratory lunch. The twister cocktail with an ice lolly on top was fantastic. My husband enjoyed the Cold Town Brew just as much. The burgers we had were amazing. The Mac Buck was beautiful. Rory our server was so friendly and helpful which made such a difference to the whole experience. We would definitely recommend Bucks Bar

Bucks Bar was like a life saver to us! We were roaming around Edinburgh streets around 10:30-11:00 that evening looking for a place to have dinner when everywhere we go they hit us with “Sorry, kitchen is closed”!! That was so frustrating! Until we found Bucks Bar and we were warmly welcomed by Rory who was so happy to receive us! Both yummy food & the heartwarming atmosphere were everything we were striving for! Thank you so much!

Wanting to spend a chill evening, in front of a good sandwich, after careful research, everything fell on this pub. Super characteristic interior, very 80s and with a selection of music that satisfied my eardrums. Not to mention the food. They specialize in fried chicken, and my god, gentlemen, IT WAS HUGE. It was overflowing from the sandwich. Superb sauces and flavours, and sweet potatoes that are too good. Highly recommended for an evening with friends in front of lots of food and beautiful friends. Quick service and very friendly staff.

We recently celebrated a birthday at Bucks Bar with a group of 6, and it was a fantastic experience! The cosy diner atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a relaxed gathering, and the food was absolutely delicious. The menu offers a great selection, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The prices were also very reasonable, making it great value for the quality of food and service. Overall, Bucks Bar is a great choice for any occasion, especially birthdays!

Great atmosphere inside, American diner style booths, neon bar signs, classic rock playing at decent volume. The staff were excellent, they all seemed to love their jobs and were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food - oh man, the food! I had 4 wings with Buck's sauce which were delicious. Then I had the Ninja Burger, with sweet potato fries as recommended by our server, Anna - good call! So the Ninja Burger is this: a whole chicken breast with Tonkatsu glaze, togarashi spice, Japanese kewpie mayo, onions and lettuce in a bun. The chicken hangs over the edge of the bun. It must be a good 10-12 inches long! My daughter had The Big Smoke Mac Waffle which was 2 big pieces of buttermilk fried chicken in smokey BBQ glaze with applewood mac ‘n’ cheese on a freshly pressed buttered waffle. She didn't manage to finish hers, but Anna made sure to give us a box to take the remainder away in. We had a milkshake each to go with our meal. They should warn you about the size of these things! All in all, I cannot recommend Buck's Bar highly enough.

Outstanding food and service. We a party of 10 arrived without booking on a sat afternoon. Very friendly young lady organised some tables for us within minutes. Portion sizes great definitely if you have an appetite. Food served in timely fashion. Good selection of drinks

I am normally not the biggest chicken food fan but this was just delicious. Special mention to the chicken wings that were tender and tasty. Portions are big, burger feeds an adult with no issue. Place is very American style. Service was fast and efficient.

Lovely Sasha served us and there are heaters above the outside tables! If it’s super cold they give you blankets :D. Super quick service and delicious food. Can’t go wrong with Bucks (especially if you’re seeing a show at the Lyceum)

RORY was my friend and i’s sever, he was lovley and friendly and welcoming, very quick service and an absolute fabulous atmosphere, staff were all very find and very helpful, food was absolutely amazing, reasonably priced and so tasty and well made, music was very very good which definitely added to my experience, thanks to rory and the staff, definitely will be back

My son had waffles mac & cheese & chicken , my other son had the buck all chicken burger & fries as he likes everything plain they both loved it. The portion sizes are huge! I had the hot honey ranch chicken burger & my partner had the hot cock burger they were all delicious 😋. The service was excellent. Staff so friendly & welcoming. Highly recommend this place for burger they were amazing! Massive chicken fillets amazing flavour. Decor lovely & music so good cannot fault this place at all hence the all round 5 stars! My sons also had a milkshake each which they said were brilliant!

I’ve now visited all three Bucks locations and this was my favourite. Chelsea who served us was really attentive and gave helpful recommendations, and the food was great. The portions are comically big here, but if you go hungry they hit the spot. The sauces are really exceptional—always fun to try new ones. Only annoying thing was my coke was 90% ice—if I’d known that’s how it was served I would have requested less ice.

Rory from Bucks Bar is always the person that serves us when we visit, he is always so happy and brings such great energy to the place. Very welcoming, very friendly and an all round top guy! Great food and milkshakes too! 10/10 all round from me.

Very cool bar where rock lovers get their money's worth. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The burger selection (also for vegetarians) is great. Only come if you are very hungry. Thank you, it was a pleasure.

Went in for dinner (walk-in) at 2003. Seated then left 15 minutes with no drinks order taken. 2 other tables in at time of visit. Staff standing with backs to tables. We said we'd give it another 5 minutes, still nothing so left (2023) and went to Hanover Street instead. As always with Bucks, the music was great. Unlike the other branches I've been to, the service was severely lacking.

Got a takeaway from here and Ordered the Vegan burger, it wasn’t very good and even worse when I found a battered piece of chicken inside the burger 🤮. Never ordering from here again.

During our 5 day stay in Edinburgh we came here twice because we loved the food so much. The burgers were amazing with a very nice selection to choose from. The fries were also really good as well as the cocktails. The servers were really nice and very attentive. There was good music playing and the atmosphere in general was great. Definitely recommend coming here for a very good dinner and some cocktails! :)

The Food was so good. I am a picky eater and even for me they had something. For fellow picky eater I would recommend the Fussy Bucker ;) Also the Cocktails are delicious. Big recommend for everyone visiting Edinburgh. Was so good that we even had to visit twice :D
