Only popped in to get out of the rain and after a couple of drinks decided to have some food.......Plenty of choice and daily specials which is all cooked to order ( so don’t expect it in 2 mins from the microwave ) and the food arrived piping hot and was delicious 👏👏👏

This small gem of a hotel is in my neighbourhood in Barmouth. What a lovely place with swell Staff who greet you with a smile and cater to your eating, drinking and lodging needs! John and Milton are topnotch hosts and in adition really kind and caring folk. i can heartily recomend the steak dinner, and the ale and steak pies! Although I have not tried them yet I hear vegetarian options are also available. Outdoor seating is fab for drinks with friends. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The price is right. Very close to the highstreet, the mountain walks and the sea - who could ask for anything more?

My wife and I stayed here after getting soaked on a camping trip in shell island. The little car park is off road, so no need to worry about losing a mirror to a passing car. The room we stayed in was big and we'll furnished with a comfy bed. Which was a bonus after sleeping on a blow-up bed in the tent. The staff are very helpful and the owner is great and the best cook in Barmouth. We ate there that night, my wife having the stake and i had stake and ale pie. Both the best I've ever had. We both love stake when going out to eat and ive paid a lot of money for a good steak, so far this little hotel has given us the best stake we have ever had. And the pie was amazing. Start to finish a great place for a great price with great food.

We stayed at Bryn Teg hotel for a short break, it is situated on a main road on the outskirts of the town but is only a 10-15 minutes walk in. We had a room on the front and at times the noise from the traffic can be quite loud. The rooms are pleasantly furnished although the decoration is quite dated but it is clean. The en suite rooms are simply a very small piece of the bedroom that have been divided up to contain a toilet, very small washbowl and shower. More attention could be given to this as there are no towel rails or anywhere to leave toiletries eg tooth brushes etc. A hospitality tray is provided with tea and coffee. The breakfast was full english but no other option was offered. A big bonus is the small parking area opposite. The hotel does provide food in the evening and a bar but we did not use these. As the price charged is comparable with other hotels in the area I do consider it a little expensive for the hotel at present but with some renovation it could be a lovely hotel.

What a lovely place to eat. The food is great and the people are wonderfully helpful. The best place in town for steak and chips to die for. A hidden gem.

The staff at Bryn Teg were very very welcoming and accommodating, especially for saying they've not had the place long, we stopped in the double room at the front of the house (room 4), where you can just about manage to see the sea! The room was lovely and newly refurbished, the ensuite still needs bringing into the 21st century, but it is something the owners are aware of and apologised for. The breakfast was lovely, you won't leave there hungry. The bar is well stocked and refurbished to a lovely nautical theme with an open fire. Will definitely be looking to return here in the future!

Stayed for bank holiday weekend & had a lovely stay. Staff very helpful. Room a little dated, as is the rest of b&b however, I think last review that was posted on this b&b need to realise that this establishment is owned by an elderly couple who do all work, I.e cooking, housekeeping, improvements. Theirselves. Milton was very friendly, & made us feel very welcome & meals were the best we have had in Barmouth.

I am so sorry to say this hotel was the worst I have ever seen now I know why it was the only place with a room available. It was filthy, smelt of mould/damp in the dining room, the bedroom carpets were filthy and disgusting, the bedding was unfit for purpose, the electric sockets were hanging off. The smell of cooking drifted throughout the hotel and it was dreadful and travelled up into our bed rooms . My daughter suffered an astma attack due to the dirt and smell. The owner Milton looked dirty and his language was disgusting. The place was something out of a horror movie and we left our rooms after booking in and thank fully found another place to stay. We have since been told by other hotel owners that the DDS use this hotel!, if you can even call it that .I am not surprised by this information as this can only be the only reason this place can possible stay open. Please do not be fooled like me and book this accomadation please don't bother or just go elsewhere this place needs to be closed down in our opinion and those we spoke to in the area.

Called in for coffee and cakes. Took ages to be served but staff were pleasant. We sat upstairs and appreciated the heating being on as it was a cold day. The coffee was weak and we only drank it to warm us up. My dad’s iced bun was more like a rock cake. The bara brith we bought to take home was the worst we’ve ever had. Completely dry and tasteless. Best thing about this place was the clean loo. Would not return.

A wonderful find - such a great restaurant! The menu is small but wow; the choices are fantastic. The coconut chicken was perfect, roast potatoes were delicious and the beautifully cooked. As a coeliac and dairy intolerant - would definitely recommend.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening. We started with a drink on the terrace and we were given the option of eating out there too and we did. A beautiful view and a perfect spot to watch the sunset .Definitely planning on returning.

Home cooked food very nice and very reasonable prices. Been twice now and intend to go again this week. Worth a little wait as everything cooked from scratch
