We love this place. My husband's Mum worked here on the ice cream counter when she was young (now 90) so we have a great love for this historic 'unchanged' cafe. We have introduced many friends and family to it and they all love it too x

Overall I was a bit disappointed with the service in this place. When I paid for my ice cream with a £10 note the member of staff muttered to herself that they were used to people paying card. On this basis I probably wouldn't hurry back, although I did enjoy the peach Melba I had.

I wrote a long review for this then decided it wasn't worth it. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, after 10 or so minutes I was told there was no ham so settled for a cheese sandwich only. At no point was I offered a refund for the dish I'd ordered (you have to pay in advance). Be aware that they just want your money

The large coffees are excellent but the service is dire There are usually at least 3 young staff behind the counter and although presentable just have no character. No interaction with the customers everything looks forced. You have to order at the counter then if you are eating or drinking inside wait at the counter until the drinks have been made. If you deem to sit at your table there is no chance of your order being brought to you. You have to be on guard and keeping focused on the counter as the girls pour the drinks then just leave them there until you go for them. Occasionally it's been known for one of the girls to shout an order is ready if its been sat there for over 5 minutes. It's infuriating at the best of times. Then nobody appears to be watching for customers leaving so the tables can be cleared and cleaned down especially outside

Great little spot for an authentic vintage Italian cafe. We had Lancashire pastys with gravy & mushy peas - great ! Love the old Brucciani crockery and original decor. Very quiet when we visited, but relaxing. Friendly staff. Will definitely visit again the next time we are up this way.

I love Bruccianis, it's like stepping back in time. Gorgeous decor, wonderful service and value for money, what more could you want! If its a quaint little coffee shop/ice cream parlour you want, you'd be hard pushed to find better. Living in the Midlands, I don't visit very often, but when I'm ever up in The Lake district its a must for me. So glad it's still here, I'm glad they can't change anything. It's perfect the way it is. Starbucks and Costa have their place, but Bruccianis is unique and beautiful. May this little piece of history be here for many more years to come.

Stepping into this cafe is truly akin to stepping back in time. Proudly art decor, it's interior feels like stumbling into a 1940s movie by mistake. The original features and furnishings make it unmistakably authentic. For me, that meant being able to see, in my mind's eye, people of the day seated at their tables; young courting couples in flirtatious conversation, groups of friends enjoying a sundae after school, a secret assignation over at the corner table where no-one noticed...but that's where the good stuff ends. Counter service is bizarrely called "self-service" and the staff are cold and unfriendly. My daughter's malted hot chocolate was presented with the sides of the cup soaked in the drink. There was no malt flavour at all but the one friendly staff member (dark hair, tied up) working there was lovely and accommodating. After about a 30 minute wait for our sundaes, I asked the blond assistant if our ice creams would be ready soon. She coldly informed us that we hadn't ordered any before continuing "the biscoff and knickerbocker glory? Um, yes. They'd forgotten them. Sigh. The friendly staff member duly brought them over and apologised. They were very nice, to be fair, but they blooming should be, given that we could've milked a cow and made our own in the time it took for them to be served. Conclusion: worth a visit just for the art deco experience. We, however, will not be making it a regular haunt.

Popped into Morecambe for lunch on our way to the Lake District. We were charmed by this quirky cafe which dates from the 1930s, and hasn't changed since it opened. The lunch menu was very reasonable, and we appreciated the peace and quiet as there was no music playing, which is a rare thing these days. Staff were polite, but not particularly friendly. However, we loved the decor and the food was good.

Ducked in here mainly to escape the rain(!) but ended up having some snacks. Food was good, proper Lancastrian pies and pasties with mushy peas and gravy, the cakes are also big and tasty. However the main thing to note was the delightful decor, obviously from a bygone era but spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. Glad we popped in!

Went for a day out and ended up in Morecambe Lancashire. The first surprise was on a Sunday from November to Christmas (23) it's free parking. Our second surprise was to find Brucciani a quaint cafe in the centre of Morecambe with lots of original features from 1930's including the old locks on the toilet door where you had to pay 1d that's an old penny for you young ones ( that where the saying comes from "I'm going to spend a penny" comes from. The food is nice and simple served hot. The coffee is excellent and for a real treat you got to have their own ice-cream. staff are super friendly and we'll be back again

Well worth a visit just to see this amazing, period building, established in 1939. The wood panelling and original features are well worth a look. The ice cream is delicious and there is a reasonable choice of drinks and snacks. The downside is the seating which definitely isn't period. The tables and chairs are quite small and uncomfortable. We decided to have ice cream floats, which seemed to be popular. Sadly mine erupted all over the table, like Vesuvius on steroids. What remained went down well.

The cafe wasn’t busy , on entering there was 2 ladies waiting patiently at the counter , we were directly behind them , we waited 10 - 15 mins , no orders were taken , no apology given , 1 male behind counter making ice cream desserts , 4 / 5 other members of staff that seemed to be either wiping trays or wondering around . After 15 mins + one member of staff appeared to take the ladies orders at that point we decided not to wait any longer . This establishment is totally disorganised and a shambles , having read through previous reviews , I would have to agree with the majority of 1,2 and 3 star reviews . I will certainly not be returning.

The decor was interesting including the framed awards for ice cream hanging on the walls.Unfortunately was very disappointed by the service. We ordered two meals with drinks only my husband's meal arrived complete with drink yet mine arrived 5 minutes later with drink only followed by the meal 10 minutes after that without cutlery so we did not eat together - in most cafes and restaurants the meals arrive together when a couple are dining? My drink was finished by the time my meal arrived and that was with returning to the ordering area to chase it and to collect some cutlery.Your business would thrive if the staff were trained better.

We popped in for some ice cream during our stay in Morecambe - despite place being quite dated it was very busy which in itself shows the popularity (especially amongst older generation of customers). Scooped Ice cream was delicious!! Highly recommend honeycomb one. Perhaps staff could work on their ways of handling food especially now around Covid restrictions - gentleman who served us was really friendly and generous with portions but didn't have a mask on - nor an exemption lanyard. He then handled everything with his bare hands (including chocolate flakes which we obviously declined as even before Covid that wouldn't be hygienic really). A pair of gloves would have worked wonders!

Whilst I attended Morecambe for the vintage fair weekend I knew it would be extremely busy so I thought I would pop along to Brucianni’s for a quick lunch! What a bad choice that was! I found a tiny table to seat myself but I had to join a very large queue it’s understandable that it is busy but it may be a good idea to tell customers it’s a 30 minute wait before you even get served. I managed to hear another customer to say but it was another 30 minute wait to get your food this being the case I decided to just get a KitKat and a glass of Pepsi, the glass of Pepsi was warm and extremely flat and the KitKat was melted and soft, almost like it had been in the window for six months!! (It wasn’t worth waiting to try and get a refund as they were extremely busy and I also did not want to encounter the rude member of staff again) it would be nice to let the customers know before they join the queue that it was going to be an hour before you get any food. When I got to the counter to finally be served i asked if It was correct about the 30 min wait and I mentioned that I would’ve liked to have waited for food but it was rather a long time only to be very rudely spoken to buy one of the female staff named Polly. It’s understandable that they would be busy but manners don’t cost a thing. I myself work in a very high stress & busy company but I still managed to smile and be polite. And the food that I did see going out to the customers looked very poor quality and hastily put together. Next year I will make a better choice!

So I came here yesterday with a person I was looking after. This person enjoys coming here. So that's where we went.A sign states that the building is grade 2 listed - opened in 1939.I just had an appletise drink whilst my client had a waffle and ice cream. The young staff (4 or 5 of them) were very attentive and helpful and kind to my client. I couldn't fault them and they were really good.But. Why the uncomfy decor and formica tables? It's not nice at all!! It could do with a serious upgrade in decoration.... A good interior artist/advisor could make this happen, whilst keeping the original features of a grade 2 building...I browsed the menu whilst my client ate the waffle and ice cream. I am not sure why the prices are so all over the place... Eg. Beans on toast and pie and peas are both £3.70... And the cappuccino is pretty much the same price as a rum liqueur coffee (or, as the menu states "rum coffee)?!! Its like a greasy spoon cafe with a mix of 1950s and 1960s in it, but with good reviews on the ice cream, and bad decor, in a grade 2 building?!?! Strange. Uncomfy. Unusual prices. But very good staff so thank you to them!

It is clean and contains lots of features from the 1930s - 1950s. Very traditional. The building is Grade 2 listed. Excellent staff and great sandwiches and cakes. Lots of photos of old Morecombe.

Visited for lunch. Not very busy. Menu had good variety and prices were reasonable . Nothing too fancy about place, quite plain and ordinary. Staff were friendly.

This delightfully traditional cafe serves the very best ice cream. It is fantastic that this Morecambe icon is still their. No reproduction vintage - this is the real thing

Forget all the other ice cream/coffee shops! This place is wonderful it's like stepping back in time. I've been visiting this ice cream parlor since I was a little girl and I'm almost 30 now and still love it. I'm obsessed with the coin slot on the toilet door I love that they have kept this on. My travel is the banana split!!! My daughter had an ice-cream cone. Please visit it's worth it.

Took the kids here for a knickerbocker glory, the kids had never had one and me either since the late 70s. The cafe is like a time capsule with great tasting icecream. Staff friendly and polite. If you visit morecambe its a must

Lovely hot day so what is better than an ice cream. Great ice cream plenty of it not particularly cheap but good flavoirs. Have a look inside it is worth it - like a time warp. Plenty of people in a queue outside but empty inside. Nice staff

Called in for a quick snack and far better than the well known coffee chain next door.

We only had a take away ice-cream so cannot vouch for the interior but we were told later that the Art Deco internal architecture is good

The cafe has a well preserved Art Deco interior and vintage fittings. The food is quite nice and it is in a very good location on the seafront.

What a fantastic little cafe, which serves delicious food and excellent Lavazza coffee. Great service which always comes with a big smile, can’t think of anywhere nicer to have brunch or afternoon tea in the Morecambe/Lancaster area :-)

Visited the cafe before a trip to the castle. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and cafe was warm and inviting on a cold January day. Coffees were made to perfection, as were the good and cakes. We will definately be back.

We have visited in the past and always been reasonably happy. Today was not a good experience. The bread was stodgy for both the egg mayonnaise baguette and the rarebit. The egg was congealing and the ‘seasonal salad’ was just a mishmash of little bits! So rather expensive at £27.85 for the above plus two traybakes and a small pot of tea. Sadly highly unlikely to return.
