Browston Hall in Great Yarmouth

Phoned on three separate days to book a table in restaurant but got no answer so called in as we were passing one day. There is a large seat blocking the bar/restaurant entrance and the doors were shut at about 15.00 on a Wednesday. I can only assume it's not open now. The opening/closing information has also been removed from the main sign near the road.

We arrived at 1.30 and was seated.the food on offer at the carvery looked tired and passed its best. No chicken left .So my self and my partner decided to have liver and bacon ,and for my self the fish and chips.Both were awful chips were not as advertised,Fish was mediocre at best.batter was not fully cooked and was horrid on the inside.peas were cold. Liver over cooked. Bacon fatty and cheap.veggis could have been better. As for the other party members their food was best described as slop. No meat looked edible all dry and past its best ,So all they had was over cooked tired bland veg. To my honest opinion as a chef myself of over 20 years service,This was appauling,no matter what time folks come in ,if you take bookings for that time.the same quality food at start of service should still be there at the end.Sadly in this case it wasnt. The staff did not go out their way to serve in a welcoming manner.Their attitude came across like dine and go ,its near the shift end. One of our party said,he fealt he was being stared at by the lady down by the desert station.Once again not good. The desert station did not look good either,just bland boring catering supply fare,usual.suspects choclate tarts and various sad lookin treats. Finally to add insult as we fealt we were hurried and could not enjoy the venue or the meal we left .On checkin the bill we were over charged by 11 pounds.when foned about it was told you should have read the bottom the bill.There it says all change to be checked before leaving venue.well as we were hurried out we didnt. So all i can say what a bad experience all round. Never again, Staff looked like they were fed up. Their uniform made them look like care home staff.a bland grey. To the manager/owners gou can and should do better. Please note if you dont likw this review read below. Please check this review before closing app. The guy who made it is a trained chef of many years service, So knows what he is talking about. If it offends oh well same policy as you have.ie tough .

Decided to go for a roast this evening. Normally go for lunch which has always been nice. Sadly disappointed tonight. Selection of vegetables limited. Some burnt beyond reason! No sausages or cauliflower cheese. Stuffing lacked flavour. Add to this the fact the chef appeared to have a cold and was coughing without covering his mouth. Will be sometime before we return.

Food not great under cooked coli cheese. booked for 1.30 still there gone 2.00 enjoying a chat but felt as we were being rushed to go. We paid by card and did not look to check until we got home then found we had been over charged by £11.50 on reading the receipt it said once we had left the premises we could not challenge the bill. We will not be going back their again

50th anniversary party. The staff were really helpful and very organised leading up to the event. On the day everything was ready and the staff were attentive, friendly and again helpful. The room was beautiful with plenty of room for comfy seating and relaxing before food; tables looking lovely for the great food & a dance floor.

Went here on a recommendation. To be fair I was expecting it to be good. On arrival, a Saturday lunch time, the place was not busy which did not fill me with confidence. I was asked if we wanted to sit in the conservatory or main area, I asked which was best and was told it depended on if I wanted to be cold or not! We chose not! We were sat in an annex and no.other tables were filled during our visit. Both my children.wnated the kids menu.and the adults wanted carvery. About 25 minutes after ordering we were told the kids meals were about 5 mins away so could go get carvery. From.experience I know kids food often comes very hot or stone cold so I said I would wait until their food arrived before getting ours. Just as well as 20 minutes later their food had still not arrived!. It was about another 10 minutes before it came. The whole time we were entertained by staff dumping clean cutlery in a drawer and being told to redo according to the name / branding on the cutleryleadung to wven more clattering right next to us. Staff were absent, food was poor and kids meals arrive wrong but easily fixed . Carvery was ok but meat was sliced so thinly it would be hard to identify from taste alone. Carvery chef was very friendly and chatty but totally let down by the place as a whole. I really wanted to like it but there was nothing that would take us back again We lost the will to order pudding due to slowness of staff Shame as it's so near to where we are out and about at weekends bit would rather travel and pay for better food and service elsewhere. Could have been a.hidden gem.....sadly not

We occasionally visit the carvery with friends, this time we used a voucher taking a couple of pound off the bill. That said normal price for weekday carvery is £8.95 pp. The food we had from the carvery was good plus a varied good choice of side dishes. We are not ones for piling our plates up but I do think the size of the meat portions are cut quite small. The chef not at all engaging. We had desserts and this is where I have a complaint, for just under £5 pp the size of the desserts dished out by the server is a rip off. I am not expecting some huge portion but in a matter of a few mouthfuls its gone. I also note on several other reviews about the poor service from the staff. What I can say is, out of all the staff we came into contact with 5 in all. Only one really seemed to be happy and the rest really appeared to not want to engage with the customers, it was difficult to get them to speak to us. This seems strange as its obviously an ongoing problem and at a loss that the management has failed to address the problem. Long term it will have only detrimental effect to their business.

Having been to this carvery before we were disappointed with the service from the meet and greet to the incorrect drinks we were served. Food was reasonable and waitresses average but the older staff behind the bar need a lesson in customer relations. We come here every year with all our children and grandchildren but will probably not return again.

Lovely food, can’t complain. However, change if waitress. First waitress lovely. Second waitress just plain rude. This lets your establishment down.

We had a meal at Browston Hall today, the veg was raw not even slightly cooked, all people told ne that was always Browston Halls failure for last 3 years, veg is high quality but no once was able to eat, you couldn’t put a folk or knife in Brussels so solid. We told Owner she said couldn’t care less, beware everyone very rude owners there, Best try better place to spend money.

Festive,What a laugh,Soon as we got there was told you can go up for carvery, as we were friends we wanted to sit and have a few drinks first, Then 20mins later was told to go and get our meal ,We felt rushed to get our meal ,Waitresses looked bloody miserable ,the owner was walking about with his coat on , Carvery had more frozen veg then fresh, As for the xmas pud well it was gone in 2 mouthfuls, never seen a piece so small ,,We were out by 9.15 with the doors being locked as we left ,, Festive what a joke will never go there again

Went on a Saturday midday, very friendly staff on arrival, good choice of table.The carvery was well presented and had good choice of meats and veg .Optional sweet was a very good choice of several,all excellent.. Very good value meal. The setting eg Chairs and tables ,perfect.

Four of us went for a carvery. The quality of meat was good. Very nice vegetables, a choice of gravy and the usual sauces. I found it rather strange that you had to queue again for dessert. There was a good choice although they looked very mass produced (cold gateaux etc) and not particularly inviting. One hot pudding (a crumble) was available to order at the counter which was very nice. It would have been nice to have other hot dishes. We had a table in the conservatory which was a very nice area. It looked a bit gloomy inside. Table service was for drinks and delivery of desserts only.

Food is worth more than 3 stars but when they can not serve cold white wine that's make them a 3 star all they said was its in the fridge... it might be but what temperature is the fridge?. Called there a couple of weeks ago and had to ask for ice cubes ….. Not good

The hall is a lovely venue, well presented and very comfortable. We went for Sunday lunch and opted for carvery which is not my usual choice. We were very impressed with the selection of meats and vegetables and all tasted great. There was a marvelous selection of sweets (which mother sampled) and the meal was rounded of by Irish and Calypso coffees made correctly.The staff were lovely, good care was taken of us. Although a little more expensive than other local carverys it is well wort the additional cost.

Lovely people but disappointing food veg was frozen all food cold .tasted still frozen .the roast beef was nice so not all spoilt .will give it a miss from now on .

We booked here for a Sunday carvery as we were holidaying in Cromer. The food was excellent and the staff were great. Would highly recommend this place

Had a lovely carvery in a wonderful setting. Have driven past this place a few times this week whilst on holiday didn’t realise it was a restaurant as no indication on the sign outside but friends advised us to go. Carvery was very good and plenty of It

Came hear with my 2 daughters for lunch, haven’t been since it got refurbished, don’t know why we bothered, all had the Carvery it was so bland and tasteless, the Swede was like water, the stuffing was dry and tasted like cardboard and the carrots where so dry they where white, used to love coming hear but after the lunch what we had we won’t be back, shame!

I visited Browston hall with a friend for lunch, we had the carvery, which I cannot fault in any way. It was very tasty and as always with a carvery there was plenty of it.

Me and my boyfriend came here last night and could not of been more pleasantly surprised. It was so modern and newly refurbished inside, and very clean. The staff where all so lovely and really friendly, they took the time to get to know us and had a chat with us. The food however was mouthwatering and everything was very hot and tasted so fresh. The cake selection left me standing there a while as I just couldn’t decide what to pick as it all looked so good. Thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable evening.

My wife and I eat here most sundays. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The Carvery is delicious with a good choice of vegetables and some of the best beef I have tasted. At the dessert counter you are spoilt for choice and we love the little extras where you can help yourself from the jars of sweets, our favourites are the chocolate eggs.

Sometimes nice more times poor . The last visit wasn’t all that , horrible roast potatoes even my self couldn’t eat them all tasted fried rather than roasted and I never leave roasts , the beef was ok but did taste like it come out of a slow cooker, and mixing swede with carrots what’s that all about, poor stuffing balls and the runniest gravy ever from a carvery anywhere. Should of cooked at home my self all round poor really is really nice sometimes. But I’ll leave it a while before returning ow plus the sausages make sure there cooked before putting on the hot plate and you could be more generous with them !! Plus saying there was no tables have a drink at the bar first we said it’s ok we will wait then are table was done in under 30 seconds trying to get us to buy more drinks when the restaurant was half empty

Well we phoned to book for 8pm and was asked if we can come in earlerya .

This is by far our favourite carvery in the region. Excellent choice of vegetables and the meats are very well cooked. Watched the chef who was serving the meat though and he was using the same fork and knife for all meats, despite there being a variety of carving knives and forks right in front of him. This should not happen anymore in this day and age of multi-religious society, food intolerances and personal diet choices.

My wife and I had reservations about going for the carvery . But after enjoying the meal we would recomend the food. Our meat was tender and plentiful there was a good selection of vegetables and the roast potatoes were great. And the gravy was very tasty. We cannot wait to go back again.

We have been here a lot over the years but this visit took the biscuit.

Had a meal this week May 4th 19. All had the carvery and all the food was either just warm or cold. In fairness the head chef took all the food away and asked us to get our food again. Did this but still only just warm. The manager was rude when talking to us, absolutely no apology from her and more about us inconveniencing her and her staff. Interesting that the staff initially said when. we complained about cold food they said “cold again” obviously this is an on going problem. No money off, no apology, very poor customer service, not going back to this place....

Visited here on Sunday afternoon for a carvery - food was so lovely, fresh & hot. Service was excellent. Will be returning very soon. Thank you for such a nice experience.

If you love a carvery, you have to try the best and visit Browston Hall. We have been here several times now, and brought family too. Weekdays as well as Sundays, and a huge array of vegetable dishes to accompany the succulent roasts. The conservatory has a fantastic ambience, and feels like a special occasion. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Our granddaughter (aged 5) had "the best pizza and pudding ever" and we were impressed too. Great service, great food and great price...we love it!!

This is one of the best carveries we have ever had. The food is delicious, and the chef who carved the meat was very friendly. One of our regular places to lunch.

Very nice lunch - plenty of veg - meat cooked well ... only negatives .... shame not roast lamb on menu as Easter Sunday and I prefer my roast potatoes crispy ..... but great selection of puds - very friendly staff

Been a few times now you don't seem to have the knack to keep veg hot, lots of choice of desserts but a lot seems to be chocolate or toffee based

Called in for lunch did not have a booking We were pleasantly surprised as it has had a total make over .The new owners have made a very good job of the decour .we had the carvery which was very good loads of choice for meat and veg .The staff were very good and friendly

When we first arrived, we had to wait around in the bar as they could not find our booking and was told we would have to wait until a table was available, they finally found our name on the booking list after all and we went in.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We had one of the best carvery ‘s . So many different veggies , four types of meat and so many deserts to choose from. We will be going back very soon.

We fancied a carvery so called up and managed to get a table. Food and service were both excellent as was the value for money. More expensive than some more local ones but the quality was better - £28 for two carveries with two drinks, very reasonable. Setting is nice as is the atmosphere there.

Arrived one Sunday at 12:45pm without booking and was told there wasn’t a table available until 2:30pm (may have even been 3:30pm) not prepared to wait that long anyway so went somewhere else.

Returned here with some friends after we stopped going as the previous owners in my opinion started to let the food quality go down hill. That said the new owners have refurbished the establishment with pleasant decor. The service staff were very smart and on the ball. We all chose the carvery and the same template is being used as before to serve the food which was no problem. There is 3 choices of meat plus the normal various vegetables, they were all hot and tasted fresh. We also had desserts which again were very nice. The only slight negative comment is that the chef serving the meat was not very generous with the thickness when carving some that thin it fell to pieces.

Terrible service had to send back burnt fish and seven of us were all disappointed as all of our meals were unpleasant I was offered the carvery instead of replacing my my meal but that was very disappointing and was only given two small slices of meat.gave then a,2nd chance but will not be returning a third time. Staff did not really do anything to compensate a dreadfull evening.

Had a carvery this evening and my daughter had the nugget kids meal,was very impressed by her meal I tried her chicken and it was juicy and the coating was lovely and crispy, a good size portion Also.

First time we have been to this carvery.we booked first thing in morning 1.30. Well the restaurant very busy but we only waited 5mins.shown to table by very polite member staff.waited then queued for lunch, short wait only food very nice hot fresh tasty and plenty of choice. Will we go again yes.

Haven't visited here for a long time as the last meal was atrocious so never returned. Now, new owners we decided to give it a try so pleased we did beautifully decorated and updated, staff helpful and very friendly made to feel welcome. Most of us had the carvery which was lovely everyone cleared their plates. Meat was so tender, vegetables cooked perfectly, as for roast potatoes well they were superb. Good choice too. The crab cakes were seriously good too. Only one thing that we thought, plates were bit small prefer larger size so you don't have to pile food up especially when the yorkshire puds are huge, home made and delicious hard to find room.

My partner and I eat here at least once a week - midweek on a regular basis and have done for some months now. We thoroughly enjoy the food, drink choice, surroundings and the pleasant staff. Much prefer this to any "chain" carvery. Always consistently good food, tender meat and great vegetables excellently cooked and served in a clean restaurant plus you can tell it hasn't been sitting around in the hot plate for hours.

Not been for some time not since new owners took over. Drinks still a tad expensive and now also the carvery. We used to go every few weeks at £6.95 or two carverys for £10.95. Since then it has gone up to £7.95 and today it was £8.95 for a mid week carvery and has now got too expensive for regular visits. Nice food but just too expensive now. Toby is not far away and is now nearly £2.50 a head cheaper! And have regular money off vouchers too.

This was our fourth Xmas dinner here with the family & every year it has been very good but this year it was exceptional because the service was excellent & the starters,main meal, desserts,mince pies & chocolates were perfect! Thank you so much for making our Xmas so special

A couple of months ago my daughter & I had a carvery at Browston,I could not fault it .This Sunday came with my youngest daughter(Dec 30th) so disappointing,we had a carvery,meat beautiful ,veggies i.e. swede & mash potatoes very mushy & wet & the gravy was just like water....thin & tasteless.I did tell the waitress who was apologetic & offered a replacement meal as gravy had been thickened .We declined as we were half way through the meal but it was not good .The sweet was delicious,staff pleasant & toothpicks a rarity tho found some eventually,but too late.

We used to go here at least 6 times a year and every Christmas for the past 5 years,it was always good food and great value for money ,we were a party of 7 ,just very disappointed this year,food was cold, veg not cooked and very thin cuts of meat, won't be returning..

We’ve had Christmas day lunch carvery here for the past four or five years and this was the best yet. Love the new décor. The food was just right and all the staff were friendly.

We dine here every September and with a mixture of adults and children. Empty plates all round. Definitely one of the best carveries around.

Really good value for such nice surroundings. Good meat. Nice veg. Great service. Nice drinks and a convivial bar. Oh and that mulled wine is real quality! A real surprise! The place could be a bit warmer, needs a fire. Otherwise perfect lunch.

My wife and I visited Browston Hall with a friend for lunch yesterday. The meal was excellent as was the welcome we received. Despite being very busy the staff were extremely efficient and we will definitely visit again.

Why why after numerous customers have said about cold carvery and under cooked vegetables have you not put this right!!

We arrived just before our booked time. The table want quite ready but no problem we had a drink in the bar while we waited. After a short wait we were taken to a table in the conservatory. Service was polite and attentive throughout. They carvery it’s self had a full choice of 7 meats home made yorkies and all the trimmings. The rare beef was just a little chewy although the well done version was fine. The veg were all well presented and cooked slightly aldente which I like. There is a great choice of deserts either hot or cold. Overall a good experience and will be back.

Just finished a lovely carvery at browston. Most of the criticisms have been addressed, I had turkey and got 2 large slices, although the sausages were dishes up by the chef I was actively encouraged to have two rather than one (with a comment of ‘go on treat yourself’when I said one, lol). Stuffing and Yorkshire’s etc were self serve along with the large choice of veg. The roast potatoes were perfect, lovely and crisp and the best I’ve had apart from family cooked ones! The desert selection was huge too and delicious. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate even making sure mash was available for a picky eater. Would highly recommend and can’t wait for a return visit.

We visited Browston Hall on Wednesday for dinner, as most are saying the food is still being served cold, I prefer carvery hot not just off cold, veg is only raw I like veg cooked always have done, we’ve found the place mean with thin slices of meat, too thin to taste what it was we were eating, when we have often complained we never have got free sweet, or price reduced on bill.

We have used Browston for years as our local carvery. The standard has always been very good and the food very tasty. The main reason we like Browston is the generous portions of meat served.

My friend had her birthday party there Saturday night it was lovely. It's been taking over and had a revamp. The place is lovely and so is the food. My friend and I had the mushroom stroganoff. It was so tasty, highly recommend. The staff are excellent always making sure we were ok. They couldn't do enough for you. I highly recommend going here, You won't be disappointed. Thank you to all the staff for making my friend's birthday special.

The Carvery never disappoints however the meat portions that are given have become miserly such a shame because it is the only fault i can find.The person who distributes the cuts should be more generous.

Just returned from having lunch at Browston Hall .

Visited Browston with my family for the first time in a while. The Restaurant has been refurbished to a very high standard. The food was great with a large selection of vegetables and choice of 4 meats. Also a good selection of desserts.

I’ve reviewed this place before when it was under different ownership . It’s al been refurbished now which is nice but could still benefit from some tweaks with staff service .lady serving us bought drinks over and left them all at top end for us to serve out and then when we were dating she started cleaning the plates whilst some of us were still eating.

We went for my dads 75th, all family that attended would recommend browston hall, carvery was lovely staff all friendly and helpful, lovely place, Will definitely go again, we were very happy customers

Have been regular visitors every Sunday for some time now but sadly there has been no improvement in the roast potatoes which for us makes a roast dinner Cannot fault the staff or surroundings though

We came from essex to visit friend when we arrived we were seated on table 19the waitresstold us carvery only no starters were available we wentto tne carvery which looked ok every thing was cooked nice however when we satdown to eat the food was luke warm the people on the next table were sayingthe same thing we told waitress who told manager we were then given a free desert on leaveing manager asked if all was oki then offered some advice l suggested that they check other carverys to see how it should be done nice soroundings but unfotunatly NEVER AGAIN

Booked in advance having been to Browston Hall Cavery many times over many years. Have now been twice with new owners. This evening quite busy on 28th Sept. No problem with seating for four of us. What we all did notice was the smaller portions or maybe plate size was different. Chef friendly but only cut one slice of turkey quite thin to the two lady guests who just wanted turkey and previously one could help ones self sausage....but now dished out to you. The Roast potatoes were very WHITE.. Taste ok Both female guests had pot tea for one at different time and was asked if the previous pot of milk was okay for the second one although empty.. Eventually did arrive after serving out ice creams to certain children. staff were more attentative this visit. But still not got that feel good feeling to the place as yet. Masy improve.

This is the first time we have been since the new owners took over and did some renovations. Four of us went for a carvery and was impressed with the new decor and restaurant furniture.

Visited with my family, the staff were very welcoming and accommodated us even though we hadnt booked. We were sat in the conservatory area which had a lovely atmosphere. We all decided to have the carvery which was wonderful. A lovely selection of meat cooked perfectly and a good range of hot vegetables. The desserts need no introduction, we couldnt resist even though we were all full up from our mains.

There was just nothing special that made me want to go back. We were shown to our table and before we had even sat down asked what drinks we would like, as soon as we sat down we were asked if it was 2 caverys so we said yes, we were then told to help ourselves and then left without knowing where to go. Waited for our drinks and find out where to go. We had to ask for more vegetables and everything was lukewarm. Its nice and clean and looks beautiful but thats it.

We decided to book a table for 5 o clock this booking was accepted, we turned up ordered drinks and shown to our table but when we tried to order our meals this is when we were told that the kitchen doesn't open till 5.30. I thought that I should have told this when confirming my telephone booking. When we were able to order my grandson wanted a burger meal the rest of the party were going for the carvery but when the burger meal arrived my grandson bit into the burger to find that it was red raw inside & unable to be eaten so this is when we decided to leave and when I questioned the fact that they didn't start till 5.30 I was told that the times are on the website.Thought the customer service was appalling.

After visiting approx month ago, we went back again as we enjoyed the experience so much, today however was an utter shambles!

A standard carvery restaurant in pleasant surroundings but not all went to plan. Arrived early and had a drink in the bar with the waitress telling us no rush. When booking was made we were told we would be seated in the conservatory, we wasn't it was full! The waitress offered us the alternative to a carvery menu and we ordered drinks. When the drinks eventually arrived a different waitress told us it was carvery only and no other choice was available. This was early on a Saturday night and no explanation was given ( if you dont like carvery you were stuffed). We had carvery . Other than no toilet paper in the ladies loo the rest of the meal was ok. Disappointed after reading many good reviews.

We made a reservation for a table of 14 for a birthday celebration. We’ve been to Browston Hall many times in the past on similar occasions, always being seated together. Last year they accommodated our party of 30. This time however we were shown to 4 separate tables and, although we compromised and pushed pairs of tables together, the occasion was ruined for us by not being all together.

Came here on a Saturday evening for a birthday meal with family. (We booked in advance). Immediately impressed with the relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating. We all went for the carvery option. There was a good choice of meat. However, we did feel that the helping of two small slices was rather less than generous. There was a good choice of vegetables. One of our party commented that they were not very hot but I think that is generally par for the course with carveries. Having said that, we all enjoyed our meal. There was a good choice of cold deserts. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had a pleasant relaxed evening at Browston Hall and would certainly come again.

Went to Browston Hall for a carvery with my family.

I first visited here earlier in the year and had a very good carvery. Heard it had then changed ownership so decided on a return visit. The place and food was just as good and welcome recommended. Excellent carvery with well cooked vegetables (lots of them). Swift polite service both in the bar and restaurant. Thoroughly recommended

we had booked for four of us for an early Sunday lunch. The table was lovely in an airconditioned conservatory area which was much needed. Staff were helpful and attentive. Carvery was of a very high standard, and I noted that there was a vegetarian option too. Desserts were from a cabinet, the usual array of gateaux and cheesecake, but we fancied fruit salad which was deliciously fresh. Excellent experience 2 courses plus drinks £20 pr head

This has to be the best carvery I've ever had! The veg were all.cooked perfectly. The meats were so tender and tasty. We will be visiting this place again for sure!

Friends took us here for a meal Thursday evening. Despite being close to where we live, it was a first for us. Very impressed. Lovely peaceful location. Very nice decor. Friendly and attentive staff. Easy parking. Three of us chose the carvery, with my wife having a curry from the menu. The latter was excellent, so I was told. Great choices with the carvery. Excellent food and, whilst our friends dealt with the bill, overall cost appeared to be very reasonable. We have another restaurant which we will visit again, either as a couple or with family or friends. Highly recommended.

Recommended by friends and overwhelmingly surprised and impressed by the welcome, the surroundings, cleanliness and an excellent carvery, way beyond our expectations. The staff were friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary lunch in a really great restaurant, terrific value too.

This restaurant has recently been taken over by new management, but still provides the best carvery in the area, plus its open most nights of the week serving carvery. WE live not far away and have used this for sunday lunch dozens of occasions and never disappointed

What a gem of a find! A friend recommended Browston Hall, as we were looking for a weekday carvery. Having previously eaten at The Wherry Hotel and paid £30 for inedible slop, we were so relived and impressed with Browston Hall. The building itself is beautiful, and they have done a marvellous job of decorating the interior. We had 2x Carvery and 2x Pepsi Max (which were served in glass bottles - the best!). The selection was amazing, and everything on offer looked appetising, colourful and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed my meal so much, it was full of flavour. When we got the bill, we were amazed to only pay £19.90. The meals we ate today were worth so much more than that! Thank you Browston Hall, we will be visiting you again very soon.

21 diners in our group all made very welcome today at Browston Hall. Delicious food- both carvery and desserts. Ample seating both inside and out. Would highly recommend.

Great selection of veg - meat cooked perfectly - friendly staff - great value for money - would def recommend to all

I had the carvery, great selection of vegetables, not over cooked, my husband had the steak, it was cooked to his request, medium rare. He said it was a really good steak. The service was excellent! Great value and a lovely meal.

A very expensive and not nice carvery. Had a meat free carvery, charged the same as normal carvery (other places charged less for meat free), had to ask for gravy. Service was very slow and definitely not silver service. Would not visit again

Three of us visited on Wednesday 27 June. Carvery and sweet excellent. Service not so. Ordered drinks upon arrival at table and these had not arrived half way through our meal. Went to bar to chase up waitress and it was obvious nothing had been ordered. After meal requested bill which after 15 minutes had not arrived. Went to reception and a bill laid on bar. This bill was not mine and after considerable hassle with receptionist who insisted I was table 12 (as was the bill) she eventually admitted I was table 14 as I stated. It was obvious that table 12 had picked up my bill from the counter, paid it and left. He did well as my bill was cheaper than his. Receptionist then deducted various items to correct my bill. Little wonder for these errors if bills are left on reception counter for customers to pick up. No shortage of staff but obvious lack of management which is such a shame after such a great meal.

Came here for the first time today with friends, there was a great choice of food, waited about 5 mins for someone to come out of the kitchen to serve us.

Best Meal we had Since the new chef took over and original chef Daniel it a different place since Simon with the biker look as left With the attitude problem and left so happy go lucky establishment now I would recommend it to anybody only new chef as Change the Taste carvery flavours are 2nd to none plenty of all description Check it out and see for yourself ? Lovely setting with loads of car parking space. Interior of restaurant was very clean, spacious and welcoming. Minus points: staff too eager to take a drinks order before we even sat down and removed our coats. Our waitress was in too much of a hurry in all her aspects of communications with our party. Only one menu was produced for us to look at. When asked what red wines by the glass were available she said 'white wines' as if she was not really listening.
